2Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces for wireless communications:Overview of hardware designs,channel models,and estimation techniques显示文摘The demanding objectives for the future sixth generation(6G)of wireless communication networks have spurred recent research efforts on novel materials and radio-frequency front-end architectures for wireless connectivity,as well as revolutionary communication and computing paradigms.Among the pioneering candidate technologies for 6G belong the reconfigurable intelligent surfaces(RISs),which are artificial planar structures with integrated electronic circuits that can be programmed to manipulate the incoming electromagnetic field in a wide variety of functionalities.Incorporating RISs in wireless networks have been recently advocated as a revolutionary means to transform any wireless signal propagation environment to a dynamically programmable one,intended for various networking objectives,such as coverage extension and capacity boosting,spatiotemporal focusing with benefits in energy efficiency and secrecy,and low electromagnetic field exposure.Motivated by the recent increasing interests in the field of RISs and the consequent pioneering concept of the RIS-enabled smart wireless environments,in this paper,we overview and taxonomize the latest advances in RIS hardware architectures as well as the most recent developments in the modeling of RIS unit elements and RIS-empowered wireless signal propagation.We also present a thorough overview of the channel estimation approaches for RIS-empowered communications systems,which constitute a prerequisite step for the optimized incorporation of RISs in future wireless networks.Finally,we discuss the relevance of the RIS technology in the latest wireless communication standards,and highlight the current and future standardization activities for the RIS technology and the consequent RIS-empowered wireless networking approaches.Mengnan Jian George C.Alexandropoulos Ertugrul Basar Chongwen Huang Ruiqi Liu Yuanwei Liu Chau Yuen 2022Intelligent and Converged Networks2022,3,1:9
3Severe human infection with a novel avian-origin influenza A(H7N4) virus显示文摘Human infections with influenza H7 subtypes, such as H7N9, have raised concerns worldwide. Here, we report a human infection with a novel influenza A(H7N4) virus. A 68 years-old woman with cardiovascular and cholecystic comorbidities developed rapidly progressed pneumonia with influenza-like-illness as initial symptom, recovered after 23 days-hospitalization including 8 days in ICU. Laboratory indicators for liver and blood coagulation dysfunction were observed. Oseltamivir phosphate, glucocorticoids and antibiotics were jointly implemented, with nasal catheterization of oxygen inhalation for this patient.We obtained the medical records and collected serial respiratory and blood specimens from her. We collected throat, cloacal and/or feces samples of poultry and wild birds from the patient's backyard, neighborhood, local live poultry markets(LPMs) and the nearest lake. All close contacts of the patient were followed up and sampled with throat swabs and sera. Influenza viruses and other respiratory pathogens were tested by real-time RT-PCR, viral culturing and/or sequencing for human respiratory and bird samples. Micro-neutralizing assay was performed for sera. A novel reassortant wild bird-origin H7N4 virus is identified from the patient and her backyard poultry(chickens and ducks) by sequencing, which is distinct from previously-reported avian H7N4 and H7N9 viruses. At least four folds increase of neutralizing antibodies to H7N4 was detected in her convalescent sera. 4PER2-mediated ameloblast differentiation via PPARγ/AKT1/β-catenin axis显示文摘Circadian rhythm is involved in the development and diseases of many tissues.However,as an essential environmental regulating factor,its effect on amelogenesis has not been fully elucidated.The present study aims to investigate the correlation between circadian rhythm and ameloblast differentiation and to explore the mechanism by which circadian genes regulate ameloblast differentiation.Circadian disruption models were constructed in mice for in vivo experiments.An ameloblast-lineage cell(ALC)line was used for in vitro studies.As essential molecules of the circadian system,Bmal1 and Per2 exhibited circadian expression in ALCs.Circadian disruption mice showed reduced amelogenin(AMELX)expression and enamel matrix secretion and downregulated expression of BMAL1,PER2,PPARγ,phosphorylated AKT1 andβ-catenin,cytokeratin-14 and F-actin in ameloblasts.According to previous findings and our study,BMAL1 positively regulated PER2.Therefore,the present study focused on PER2-mediated ameloblast differentiation and enamel formation.Per2 knockdown decreased the expression of AMELX,PPARγ,phosphorylated AKT1 andβ-catenin,promoted nuclearβ-catenin accumulation,inhibited mineralization and altered the subcellular localization of E-cadherin in ALCs.Overexpression of PPARγpartially reversed the above results in Per2-knockdown ALCs.Furthermore,in in vivo experiments,the length of incisor eruption was significantly decreased in the circadian disturbance group compared to that in the control group,which was rescued by using a PPARγagonist in circadian disturbance mice.In conclusion,through regulation of the PPARγ/AKT1/β-catenin signalling axis,PER2 played roles in amelogenin expression,cell junctions and arrangement,enamel matrix secretion and mineralization during ameloblast differentiation,which exert effects on enamel formation.Wushuang Huang Xueqing Zheng Mei Yang Ruiqi Li Yaling Song 2021International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,2:3
5Rabies Virus Pseudotyped with CVS-N2C Glycoprotein as a Powerful Tool for Retrograde Neuronal Network Tracing显示文摘Efficient viral vectors for mapping and manipulating long-projection neuronal circuits are crucial in structural and functional studies of the brain. The SAD strain rabies virus with the glycoprotein gene deleted pseudotyped with the N2 C glycoprotein(SAD-RV(DG)-N2 C(G)) shows strong neuro-tropism in cell culture, but its in vivo efficiency for retrograde gene transduction and neuro-tropism have not been systematically characterized.We compared these features in different mouse brain regions for SAD-RV-N2 C(G) and two other widely-used retrograde tracers, SAD-RV(DG)-B19(G) and r AAV2-retro. We found that SAD-RV(DG)-N2 C(G) enhanced the infection efficiency of long-projecting neurons by^10 times but with very similar neuro-tropism, compared with SAD-RV(DG)-B19(G). On the other hand, SAD-RV(DG)-N2 C(G) had an infection efficiency comparable with r AAV2-retro, but a more restricted diffusion range, and broader tropism to different types and regions of longprojecting neuronal populations. 6The C/EBPβ-Dependent Induction of TFDP2 Facilitates Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus Proliferation显示文摘Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome(PRRS) is an important infectious disease caused by porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV), leading to significant economic losses in swine industry worldwide. Although several studies have shown that PRRSV can affect the cell cycle of infected cells, it is still unclear how it manipulates the cell cycle to facilitate its proliferation. In this study, we analyzed the mRNA expression profiles of transcription factors in PRRSV-infected 3D4/21 cells by RNA-sequencing. The result shows that the expression of transcription factor DP2(TFDP2) is remarkably upregulated in PRRSV-infected cells. Further studies show that TFDP2 contributes to PRRSV proliferation and the PRRSV nucleocapsid(N) protein induces TFDP2 expression by activating C/EBPb. TFDP2 positively regulates cyclin A expression and triggers a less proportion of cells in the S phase, which contributes to PRRSV proliferation. This study proposes a novel mechanism by which PRRSV utilizes host protein to regulate the cell cycle to favor its infection. 72D/2D covalent organic framework/CdS Z-scheme heterojunction for enhanced photocatalytic H_(2) evolution:Insights into interfacial charge transfer mechanism显示文摘Covalent organic frameworks(COFs)with high crystallinity and flexible designability have been consid-ered as promising candidates for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution.However,the existence of unpropi-tious exciton effects in COFs leads to poor charge separation,and thus results in low photocatalytic effi-ciency.Herein,to improve the photoelectron migration efficiency,we designed a 2D/2D organic/inorganic direct Z-scheme COF-based heterojunction(TpTAP/CdS),by the in-situ growing of CdS nanosheets on the COF copolymerized via 2,4,6-tris(4-aminophenyl)-1,3,5-triazine(TAP)and 1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol(Tp).The femtosecond transient absorption(fs-TA)decay kinetics of TpTAP-COF and TpTAP/CdS further reveal the processes of shallow electron trapping and the recombination of the free photogenerated electron-hole pairs.In particular,the transient absorption traces for TpTAP-COF and TpTAP/CdS normal-ized to the photoinduced absorption peak can effectively verify the Z-scheme charge transfer between TpTAP-COF and CdS,which could enhance the charge mobility and separation,thus reducing the pho-tocorrosion of CdS.Additionally,ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy(UPS),in-situ X-ray photoelec-tron spectroscopy(XPS),transient photovoltage measurements,and electron spin resonance(ESR)spec-troscopy further confirm the establishment of the internal electric field(IEF).This work demonstrates the important role of COFs in the construction of 2D/2D organic/inorganic direct Z-scheme heterojunctions and offers a new avenue to explain the criticality of dynamics of the photogenerated carriers for the construction of Z-scheme heterojunctions.Ruiqi Gao Junxian Bai Rongchen Shen Lei Hao Can Huang Lei Wang Guijie Liang Peng Zhang Xin Li 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,6:1
8Integrative design of laser-induced graphene array with lithiophilic MnOx nanoparticles enables superior lithium metal batteries显示文摘The practical applications of lithium metal batteries are limited by uncontrolled dendrite growth during cycling.Herein,we propose a simple and scalable approach to stabilize lithium metal anodes using laser scribing technology to integratively design and construct a laser-induced graphene(LIG)with lithiophilic metal oxide nanoparticles.The porous LIG and lithiophilic MnOx nanoparticles effectively reduce the nucleation overpotential of Li and regulate uniform Li plating,while the array structure offers continuous and ultra-fast ion/electron transport channels,accelerating Lit transport kinetics at high rate and high capacity.Consequently,the Li@MnOx@LIG-a anode exhibits superior rate capability of up to 40 mA cm^(-2) with low nucleation overpotential.It also can withstand ultra-high Li capacity to 20 mAh cm^(-2) without dendrite growth and stably cycle for 3000 h with 100%depth of discharge at 40 mA cm2.More importantly,this technology can be expanded to other metal oxides for various metal batteries.Hong Xiao Yijuan Li Ruiqi Chen Tangchao Xie Pan Xu Hengji Zhu Jialang He Weitao Zheng Shaoming Huang 2023eScience2023,3,5:0

10Identification of two pIgR-like molecules in teleost fish with opposite roles in mucosal immunity against bacterial infection显示文摘Polymeric immunoglobulin(Ig)receptor-like(pIgRL)molecules have been identified in teleost fish.However,compared to functional studies of their related genes(e.g.,mammalian CD300 family)in eliminating pathogen invasion while preserving homeostasis,the roles of pIgRL in teleost fish remain unclear.In this study,we demonstrated that a pair of pIgRL molecules in zebrafish,pIgRL3.5 and pIgRL4.2,were highly expressed in the intestine and immune cells.Moreover,we constructed an Edwardsiella piscicida infection model,which induced strong inflammatory responses in the zebrafish intestine.Interestingly,pIgRL3.5 and pIgRL4.2 exhibited opposite inducible expression patterns in response to bacterial infection,suggesting that they perform different roles.More importantly,by conducting overexpression and knockdown experiments,our findings demonstrated that zebrafish pIgRL3.5 played a protective role in host defense against E.piscicida infection by inhibiting excessive inflammatory responses.In contrast,pIgRL4.2 facilitated pathogen growth and dissemination in zebrafish intestine.Collectively,our findings are the first to demonstrate that a pair of pIgRL molecules in teleost fish play opposite roles in mucosal immune response to bacterial infection.Therefore,our results provide crucial insights into the conserved role of pIgRL molecules in immune regulatory functions throughout vertebrate evolution.Haoyue Xu Zixuan Wang Zhenyu Huang Xiaoyun Chen Ruiqi Lin Yongyao Yu Zhen Xu 2023Water Biology and Security2023,2,4:0
11Control Effect of UAV Low Volume Spray Technology on Thrips and Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus in Tobacco Field显示文摘[Objectives]The paper was to explore the influence of unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)low volume spray technology on the control effect of viruliferous thrips and tomato spotted wilt virus(TSWV)under different pesticide concentrations,and to explore the effective control nodes and methods of thrips and TSWV.[Methods]According to the occurrence characteristics of thrips and TSWV,the field control effects of 4 pesticides on thrips and TSWV were tested by UAV with the thrips number and disease index as indicators,following the principle of regional and periodic control trials.[Results]In the groups of UAV and artificial prevention and control,4 agents were used alternatively,including 1%emamectin benzoate ME,1.7%abamectin imidacloprid ME,5%emamectin benzoate WDG,and 30%pyriproxyfen dinotefuran SL.There was no significant difference in the control effect of thrips and TSWV among treatment 1(recommended dosage of UAV agent),treatment 2(reduction of recommended dosage of UAV agent by 25%)and treatment 4(recommended dosage of artificial control agent),and the control effects on thrips were more than 83.16%in the 3 treatments.The disease index of TSWV in the 3 treatments decreased from 8.64±1.37 in the blank control group to less than 3,which reached the prevention and control threshold.But treatment 3(reduction of recommended dosage of UAV agent by 50%)did not reach the prevention and control threshold.The disease index of TSWV in the blank control area increased with the increase of the number of live nymphs of thrips,and there was a significant positive correlation,with good fitness.[Conclusions]UAV has a significant impact on the control effect of thrips and TSWV under different pesticide concentrations.In the actual flight control application,it is recommended that the amount of the pesticides is about 3/4 and not less than 1/2 of that of the artificial application.The control area should be extended to 100 m of the ridge of the tobacco field,and UAV is used periodically to control thrips and TSWV for 5 times from pre-transplanting stage to pre-squaring stage of flue-cured tobacco.The control effect is significantly different from the traditional artificial application.Zefan LIU Dean XIE Jiabao HAN Yanfen XIE Li MA Siyuan GAO Ruiqi PENG Yuting ZHAO Xiangze FU Wengang CHENG Yonghong FENG Yan ZHANG Huaping ZHANG Ying HUANG Leijie DAI Lanfeng WANG 2023Plant Diseases and Pests2023,14,4:0
12Changes in the Water Area of Chahannaoer and Its Influencing Factors from 1986 to 2020显示文摘Based on the long-term Landsat remote sensing data,the dynamic changes in the water area of Chahannaoer from 1986 to 2020 were analyzed,and the influencing factors of lake changes were analyzed combined with meteorological data and human factors.The results show that in the past 35 years,the water area of Chahannaoer tended to reduce obviously on the whole;annual average evaporation and annual average relative humidity gradually decreased,and annual average temperature,annual average precipitation,and annual average wind speed increased.Precipitation and relative humidity were significantly positively correlated with water area;temperature and average wind speed were negatively correlated with water area,but the correlation was not significant;there was a weak correlation between evaporation and water area.Precipitation and relative humidity were the main climatic factors affecting the change of water area in Chahannaoer.Nan ZHAO Yan HUANG Ruiqi YAN Xiaoli GUO Dan ZHANG Fujiang REN 2022Meteorological and Environmental Research2022,13,1:0
13Exponentially reduced carrier mobility of natural ester via blocking effect of 2D hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets显示文摘In this work,the boron nitride(BN)nanosheets were dispersed in natural esters to fabricate the dielectric nanofluid.Microstructures and chemical compositions of the nanosized BN are determined.The stability,viscosity,and thermal conductivity of the BN nanofluid,were obtained.And the dissipation factor,electrical conductivity,and relative permittivity of the BN nanofluid,were measured.The ion mobilities and migrating times of the nanofluid were measured under different volumetric fractions of BN nanosheets and temperatures.Results show that the electrical conductivity and dissipation factor of the nanofluid decreased by 54%and 48%with the addition of only 0.1%of BN nano-sheets under 110°C.Both the half-reduced carrier mobility of the nanofluid and the declined ion concentration by blocking of BN nanosheet contributed to the exponentially reduced electrical conductivity and enhanced dielectric performances of the BN nano-fluid.The suppression coefficient k is proposed to quantitatively describe the hinder effect of ion migration in nanofluids by 2D BN nanosheet.Results provide a strategy to design and develop advanced nanofluids with low-dielectric loss by aids of surface adsorption of ion and steric hindrance of 2D nanosheets.Zhengyong Huang Gang He Jian Li Feipeng Wang Ruiqi Zhang Degui Yao 2021High Voltage2021,6,2:0
14Concepts, models, and indicator systems for urban safety resilience: A literature review and an exploration in China显示文摘Safety resilient city is a frontier concept of urban safety development and a hot topic in the field of urban safety research. In this paper, the relevant research results of domestic and foreign scholars are reviewed from the perspectives of concepts and models, the evaluation indicator system of urban safety resilience is compared in terms of risk types, evaluation objects, evaluation dimensions and quantitative methods, and the development of international standards for resilient cities is discussed. Based on the literature review, the connotation of the triangular theoretical model of urban safety resilience is explained, and an urban safety resilience evaluation index system applicable to Chinese cities is proposed, which provides support for the development of the national standard “Guide for safety resilient city evaluation” (GB/T 40947-2021). It is applied to six representative cities as examples for evaluation to explore the direction of Chinese urban safety resilience improvement. 15Potassium ion pre‑intercalated MnO_(2)for aqueous multivalent ion batteries显示文摘Manganese dioxide(MnO_(2)),as a cathode material for multivalent ion(such as Mg^(2+)and Al^(3+))storage,is investigated due to its high initial capacity.However,during multivalent ion insertion/extraction,the crystal structure of MnO_(2)partially collapses,leading to fast capacity decay in few charge/discharge cycles.Here,through pre-intercalating potassium-ion(K+)intoδ-MnO_(2),we synthesize a potassium ion pre-intercalated MnO_(2),K_(0.21)MnO_(2)·0.31H_(2)O(KMO),as a reliable cathode material for multivalent ion batteries.The as-prepared KMO exhibits a high reversible capacity of 185 mAh/g at 1 A/g,with considerable rate performance and improved cycling stability in 1 mol/L MgSO_(4)electrolyte.In addition,we observe that aluminum-ion(Al^(3+))can also insert into a KMO cathode.This work provides a valid method for modifcation of manganesebased oxides for aqueous multivalent ion batteries.Zikang Xu Ruiqi Ren Hang Ren Jingyuan Zhang Jinyao Yang Jiawen Qiu Yizhou Zhang Guoyin Zhu Liang Huang Shengyang Dong 2023Frontiers of Optoelectronics2023,16,4:0
16Online Monitoring Method Based on Locus-analysis for High-voltage Cable Faults显示文摘Online diagnosis methods for high-voltage(HV)cable faults have been extensively studied.Power cable fault monitoring is not accurate,and the degree of data fusion analysis of current methods is insufficient.To address these problems,an online monitoring method based on the locus-analysis for HV cable faults is developed.By simultaneously measuring two circulating currents in a coaxial cable,a two-dimensional locus diagram is drawn.The fault criteria and database are established to detect the fault by analyzing the changes of the locus characteristic parameters.A cross-connected grounding simulation model of a high-voltage cable is developed,and several faults at different locations are simulated.Fault identification is established based on the changes in the long axis,short axis,eccentricity,and tilt angle of the track.The simulation and field experiments show that this method can provide an increased amount of fault-monitoring reference information,which can improve the monitoring accuracy and provide a new approach to cable fault monitoring.Wei Zhao Xiangyang Xia Mingde Li Hai Huang Shanqiu Chen Ruiqi Wang Yan Liu 2019Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2019,5,3:0
17EVs-mediated delivery of CB2 receptor agonist for Alzheimer’s disease therapy显示文摘Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is a typical neurodegenerative disease that leads to irreversible neuronal degeneration,and effective treatment remains elusive due to the unclear mechanism.We utilized biocompatible mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles as carriers loaded with the CB2 target medicine AM1241(EVs-AM1241)to protect against neurodegenerative progression and neuronal function in AD model mice.According to the results,EVs-AM1241 were successfully constructed and exhibited better bioavailability and therapeutic effects than bare AM1241.The Morris water maze(MWM)and fear conditioning tests revealed that the learning and memory of EVs-AM1241-treated model mice were significantly improved.In vivo electrophysiological recording of CA1 neurons indicated enhanced response to an auditory conditioned stimulus following fear learning.Immunostaining and Western blot analysis showed that amyloid plaque deposition and amyloidβ(Aβ)-induced neuronal apoptosis were significantly suppressed by EVs-AM1241.Moreover,EVs-AM1241 increased the number of neurons and restored the neuronal cytoskeleton,indicating that they enhanced neuronal regeneration.RNA sequencing revealed that EVs-AM1241 facilitated Aβphagocytosis,promoted neurogenesis and ultimately improved learning and memory through the calcium-Erk signaling pathway.Our study showed that EVs-AM1241 efficiently reversed neurodegenerative pathology and enhanced neurogenesis in modelmice,indicating that they are very promising particles for treating AD.Yanjing Zhu Ruiqi Huang Deheng Wang Liqun Yu Yuchen Liu Runzhi Huang Shuai Yin Xiaolie He Bairu Chen Zhibo Liu Liming Cheng Rongrong Zhu 2023Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2023,18,4:0
18Computation Tree Logic Model Checking of Multi-Agent Systems Based on Fuzzy Epistemic Interpreted Systems显示文摘Model checking is an automated formal verification method to verify whether epistemic multi-agent systems adhere to property specifications.Although there is an extensive literature on qualitative properties such as safety and liveness,there is still a lack of quantitative and uncertain property verifications for these systems.In uncertain environments,agents must make judicious decisions based on subjective epistemic.To verify epistemic and measurable properties in multi-agent systems,this paper extends fuzzy computation tree logic by introducing epistemic modalities and proposing a new Fuzzy Computation Tree Logic of Knowledge(FCTLK).We represent fuzzy multi-agent systems as distributed knowledge bases with fuzzy epistemic interpreted systems.In addition,we provide a transformation algorithm from fuzzy epistemic interpreted systems to fuzzy Kripke structures,as well as transformation rules from FCTLK formulas to Fuzzy Computation Tree Logic(FCTL)formulas.Accordingly,we transform the FCTLK model checking problem into the FCTL model checking.This enables the verification of FCTLK formulas by using the fuzzy model checking algorithm of FCTL without additional computational overheads.Finally,we present correctness proofs and complexity analyses of the proposed algorithms.Additionally,we further illustrate the practical application of our approach through an example of a train control system.Xia Li Zhanyou Ma Zhibao Mian Ziyuan Liu Ruiqi Huang Nana He 2024Computers, Materials & Continua2024,78,3:0
19Integrated network pharmacology and experimental verification to explore the mechanism of Sangqi Qingxuan formula against hypertensive vascular remodeling显示文摘Objective: To investigate the bioactive components of Sangqi Qingxuan formula(SQQX), predict the pharmacological targets, and explore the mechanism of hypertensive vascular remodeling(HVR).Methods: Network pharmacology was adopted to predict how SQQX acts in HVR. The effectiveness was assessed by blood pressure measurements and pathological morphology observation based on a spontaneously hypertensive rat model, while the mechanism of SQQX on HVR was validated by immunohistochemistry(IHC) and western blot(WB) according to the results of network pharmacology.Results: There were 130 bioactive components of SQQX and 231 drug targets predicted by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database. Subsequently, 181 common targets were identified for SQQX against HVR, with TP53, MAPK1, and AKT1 as the core targets. Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analyses was employed to identify the top 20 enriched functions and the top 20 pathways(P <.01). Finally, the key role of the ERK/MAPK signaling pathway in HVR was determined. The in vivo results suggested that SQQX reduced systolic blood pressure and increased the ratio of thoracic aortic wall thickness to lumen diameter. Additionally, compared with the model group, SQQX increased the expression of smooth muscle 22 alpha(IHC: P <.001;WB:P <.05) and decreased the expression of osteopontin(IHC: P <.001;WB: P <.05), ERK1/2(IHC: P <.001;WB: ERK1 & ERK2, all P <.05), p-ERK1/2(IHC: P <.001;WB: ERK1 & ERK2, all P <.05), and the ratio of pERK1/2 to ERK1/2 protein(IHC: P <.001).Conclusions: SQQX, which has multiple bioactive ingredients and potential targets, is an effective treatment for HVR. 20[Cs_(6)Cl][Ga_(5)GeQ_(12)](Q=S,Se):two novel porous layered chalcohalides exhibiting two-band emission and ion exchange properties显示文摘The salt-inclusion materials have drawn significant attention for their manifold structural chemistry and novel physical/chemical properties.Herein,two new salt-inclusion chalcohalides,[Cs_(6)Cl][Ga_(5)GeQ_(12)](Q=S,Se),have been discovered via hightemperature flux methods.The two isostructural compounds are constructed by porous[Ga_(5)GeQ_(12)]^(5−)layers with[ClCs_(6)]^(5+)octahedra filled in the holes.The[Ga_(5)GeQ_(12)]^(5−)layer is composed of the honeycomb-like(Ga/Ge)_(18)Q_(42)rings containing(Ga/Ge)_(3)Q_(9)trimer as basic unit.The band gaps of the two compounds are 3.90 and 2.89 eV,respectively.[Cs_(6)Cl][Ga_(5)GeS_(12)]exhibits interesting two-band emission properties which are related to the intermediate-band electronic structure revealed by density functional theory(DFT)calculations.Owing to the porous layered structure,[Cs_(6)Cl][Ga_(5)GeS_(12)]exhibits topological ion exchange ability towards Cd^(2+)ions with the maximum sorption capacity of 250 mg/g and high distribution coefficient(Kd)near 106 mL/g.This work further enriches the structural diversity of salt-inclusion materials and extends their potential application range to ion exchange adsorption.Ruiqi Wang Xian Zhang Fuqiang Huang 2022Science China Chemistry2022,65,10:0
