1WSe2 2D p-type semiconductor-based electronic devices for information technology:Design,preparation,and applications显示文摘The pioneering exfoliation of monolayer tungsten diselenide has greatly inspired researchers toward semiconducting applications.WSe2 belongs to a family of transition-metal dichalcogenides.Similar to graphene,WSe2 and analogous dichalcogenides have layered structures with weak van der Waals interactions between two adjacent layers.First,the readers are presented with the fundamentals of WSe2,such as types,morphologies,and properties.Here,we report the characterization principles and practices such as microscopy,spectroscopy,and diffraction.Second,the methods for obtaining high-quality WSe2,such as exfoliation,hydrothermal and chemical vapor deposition,are briefly listed.With advantages of light weight,flexibility,and high quantum efficiency,2D materials may have a niche in optoelectronics as building blocks in p-n junctions.Therefore,we introduce a state-of-the-art demonstration of heterostructure devices employing the p-type WSe2 semiconductor.The device architectures include field-effect transistors,photodetectors,gas sensors,and photovoltaic solar cells.Due to its unique electronic,optical,and energy band properties,WSe2 has been increasingly investigated due to the conductivity of the p-type charge carrier upon palladium contact.Eventually,the dynamic research on WSe2 and van der Waals heterostructures is summarized to arouse the passion of the 2D research community.Qilin Cheng Jinbo Pang Dehui Sun Jingang Wang Shu Zhang Fan Liu Yuke Chen Ruiqi Yang Na Liang Xiheng Lu Yanchen Ji Jian Wang Congcong Zhang Yuanhua Sang Hong Liu Weijia Zhou 2020InfoMat2020,2,4:5
2Selective synthesis of triacetin from glycerol catalyzed by HZSM-5/MCM-41 micro/mesoporous molecular sieve显示文摘HZSM-5/MCM-41 molecular sieve (H-ZM) catalysts with well-defined micro/mesoporous structures were synthesized and showed high performance for selective synthesis of triacetin via the esterification reaction of glycerol with acetic acid. 3The C/EBPβ-Dependent Induction of TFDP2 Facilitates Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus Proliferation显示文摘Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome(PRRS) is an important infectious disease caused by porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV), leading to significant economic losses in swine industry worldwide. Although several studies have shown that PRRSV can affect the cell cycle of infected cells, it is still unclear how it manipulates the cell cycle to facilitate its proliferation. In this study, we analyzed the mRNA expression profiles of transcription factors in PRRSV-infected 3D4/21 cells by RNA-sequencing. The result shows that the expression of transcription factor DP2(TFDP2) is remarkably upregulated in PRRSV-infected cells. Further studies show that TFDP2 contributes to PRRSV proliferation and the PRRSV nucleocapsid(N) protein induces TFDP2 expression by activating C/EBPb. TFDP2 positively regulates cyclin A expression and triggers a less proportion of cells in the S phase, which contributes to PRRSV proliferation. This study proposes a novel mechanism by which PRRSV utilizes host protein to regulate the cell cycle to favor its infection. 4Comparison on Adsorptive Separation of n-Paraffins Based on Binderless and Binder-containing Zeolite 5A Pellets显示文摘Binderless zeolite is considered to be a potential alternative for binder-containing zeolite in the industrial applications of adsorptive separation process. Synthesized binderless zeolite and commercial binder-containing product were used in adsorptive separation of n-paraffins from a model oil, with their performance compared. It is indicated that the binderless zeolite exhibits by 25%-35% higher in saturated adsorption capacity and by 115%-130% more adsorption amount at the breakthrough point with much shorter length of mass-transfer zone. Adsorptive separation of n-paraffins from naphtha was carried out in a fixed-bed adsorber containing the synthesized binderless zeolite 5 A under the operating conditions covering a feed space velocity of 90 h-1 and an adsorption temperature of 573 K. 5AMPK Subunit Expression Regulates Intramuscular Fat Content and Muscle Fiber Type in Chickens显示文摘The objective of this study was to assess the role of AMPK in intramuscular fat(IMF) and fiber type in chicken muscle. The chickens were slaughtered and their muscles were collected at the ages of 4, 8, and 16 weeks so as to determine the IMF contents, as well as the expression levels of AMPK subunits, regulators of adipogenesis. In addition, the myosin heavy chains(My HCs) in thigh muscle tissues were also measured. The results showed that the IMF contents in 16-week old chickens were higher than those in 4 and 8-week-old chickens(P<0.05).The expression levels of fatty acid synthase(FAS) and fatty aicd translocase CD36(FAT/CD36) m RNA were increased significantly in samples collected at the ages of4 and 16 weeks(P<0.05). The expression levels of My HC IIa and IIb differed significantly among all the developmental stages(P <0.05). The AMPKα2, AMPKγ1,and AMPKγ3 m RNA levels were dramatically decreased with the increase of age(P <0.05). To examine the role of AMPK in adipogenesis regulation, the SV cells were cultured in an adipogenesis medium and treated with AICAR and Compound C respectively, the specific activator and inhibit of AMPK. The Compound C induced dramatically a greater expression of C/EBPβ, SREBP1 and PPARγ(P <0.05). 8Interaction between neutrophil extracellular traps and cardiomyocytes contributes to atrial fibrillation progression显示文摘Atrial fibrillation(AF)is a frequent arrhythmia associated with cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.Neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)are DNA fragments with cytoplasm proteins released from neutrophils,which are involved in various cardiovascular diseases.To elucidate the role of NETs in AF,we investigated the effect of NETs on AF progression and the secretion of NETs in AF.Results showed that:NETs induced the autophagic apoptosis of cardiomyocytes,and NETs also led to mitochondrial injury by promoting mitochondrial depolarization and ROS production.Ongoing tachy-pacing led to the structural loss of cardiomyocytes and provided potent stimuli to induce NETs secretion from neutrophils.In the meanwhile,increased Ang II in AF facilitated NETs formation through the upregulation of AKT phosphorylation,while it could not directly initiate NETosis as the autophagy was not induced.In vivo,DNase I was administrated to abrogate NETs formation,and AF-related fibrosis was ameliorated as expected.Correspondingly,the duration of the induced AF was reduced.Our study addresses the formation mechanism of NETs in AF and demonstrates the lethal effects of NETs on cardiomyocytes through the induction of mitochondrial injury and autophagic cell death,which comprehensively describes the positive feedback comprised of NETs and stimuli secreted by cardiomyocytes that sustains the progression of AF and AF related fibrosis.Li He Ruiqi Liu Honghua Yue Xiaoxin Zhang Xiaohui Pan Yutao Sun Jun Shi Guonian Zhu Chaoyi Qin Yingqiang Guo 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,8:1
9Templated synthesis of imine-based covalent organic framework hollow nanospheres for stable potassium-ion batteries显示文摘Covalent organic frameworks(COFs), as highly tunable porous crystalline materials, have promising applications in potassium-ion batteries(PIBs) due to their abundant charge carrier transport channels and excellent structural stability. However, the excessive stacking of interlayer electron clouds makes it difficult to expose internal active sites. Strategies to design functional COFs with controllable morphology and copious active sites are promising but still challenging. Herein, by utilizing the condensation between1,3,5-triformylbenzene(TFB) and p-phenylenediamine(PPD) and using amino-modified SiO_(2) nanospheres as templates, we synthesize core-shell NH_(2)-SiO_(2)@TP-COF. Through NaOH etching of NH_(2)-SiO_(2)@TP-COF, we obtain imine-based TP-COF hollow nanospheres, which shows excellent potassium storage performance when applied to the anode for PIBs. 12The Expression of Ca N and CaMK is Associated with Lipogenesis in the Muscle of Chicken显示文摘Intramuscular fat(IMF) content in chickens significantly contributes to meat quality. The main objective of this study was to assess the expression of calcineurin(Ca N) and Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase(Ca MK) in lipogenesis in chicken muscle. The chickens were slaughtered and sampled at the ages of4, 8, and 16 weeks, respectively. IMF content and the expression of Ca N subunits and Ca MK isoforms were measured in thigh muscle tissue. The results showed that the IMF contents were higher in chickens at the age of 16 weeks compared with those in chickens at the ages of 4 and 8 weeks(P <0.05). The expression levels of fatty acid synthase(FAS) and fatty acid translocase CD36(FAT/CD36)m RNA in 16-week-old chickens were all significantly up-regulated compared with those in 4-week-old chickens(P<0.05). The m RNA levels of Ca NB and Ca MK IV in 16-week-old chickens were significantly lower than those in 4-week-old chickens(P<0.05). But the Ca MK II m RNA levels in 16-week-old chickens were significantly higher than those in 4-week-old chickens(P <0.05). To investigate the roles of Ca MK and Ca N in adipogenesis, SV cells were incubated in standard adipogenesis medium for 24 h and treated with specific inhibitor of Ca MK and Ca N. The expressions of CCAAT/enhancer binding protein β(C/EBPβ), sterol regulatory elementbinding protein 1(SREBP1) and peroxisome proliferation-activated receptor γ(PPARγ) were dramatically enhanced by Cs A and Ca N inhibitor(P <0.05). KN93,a Ca MK II inhibitor, dramatically repressed the expression of those lipogenic genes(P<0.05). 13In-situ transformed Mott-Schottky heterointerface in silver/manganese oxide nanorods boosting oxygen reduction,oxygen evolution,and hydrogen evolution reactions显示文摘The development of non-platinum group metal(non-PGM)and efficient multifunctional electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),oxygen evolution reaction(OER),and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)with high activity and stability remains a great challenge.Herein,by in-situ transforming silver manganese composite oxide heterointerface into boosted Mott-Schottky heterointerface through a facile carbon reduction strategy,a nanorod-like silver/manganese oxide with superior multifunctional catalytic activities for ORR,OER and HER and stability was obtained.The nanorod-like silver/manganese oxide with Mott-Schottky heterointerface(designated as Ag/Mn_(3)O_(4))exhibits an ORR half-wave potential of 0.831 V(vs.RHE)in 0.1 M KOH,an OER overpotential of 338 mV and a HER overpotential of 177 mV at the current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2)in 1 M KOH,contributing to its noble-metal benchmarks comparable performance in aqueous aluminum-air(Al-air)battery and laboratorial overall water splitting electrolytic cell.Moreover,in-situ electrochemical Raman and synchrotron radiation spectroscopic measurements were conducted to further illustrate the catalytic mechanism of Ag/Mn_(3)O_(4)Mott-Schottky heterointerface towards various electrocatalytic reactions.At the heterointerface,the Ag phase serves as the electron donor and the active phase for ORR and HER,while the Mn_(3)O_(4)phase serves as the electron acceptor and the active phase for OER,respectively.This work deepens the understanding of the Mott-Schottky effect on electrocatalysis and fills in the gap in fundamental physical principles that are behind measured electrocatalytic activity,which offers substantial implications for the rational design of cost-effective multifunctional electrocatalysts with Mott-Schottky effect.Ruiqi Cheng Kaiqi Li Huanxin Li Fengzhan Sun Xiaoqian He Tianshuo Zhao Jiao Zhang Chaopeng Fu 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0
14Two-dimensional titanium carbonitride MXene as a highly efficient electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘In this paper,we report,for the first time,on the electrochemical catalytic activity of 2D titanium carbonitride MXene for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).According to our study,2D titanium carbonitride exhibited much higher electrocatalytic activity than its carbide analogues,achieving an onset overpotential of 53 mV and Tafel slope of 86 mV dec^(-1),superior to the titanium carbide with onset overpotential of 649 mV and Tafel slope of 303 mV dec^(-1).The obtained onset overpotential for 2D titanium carbonitride is lower than those of all the reported transition metal carbides MXene catalysts without additives,so far.Density functional theory calculations were conducted to further understand the electrochemical performance.The calculation results show that a greater number of occupied states are active for Ti_(3)CNO_(2),revealing free energy for the adsorption of atomic hydrogen closer to 0 than that of Ti_(3)C_(2)O_(2).Both experimental and calculation studies demonstrate the excellent electrocatalytic behavior of titanium carbonitride.The investigation of 2D titanium carbonitride opens up a promising paradigm for the conscious design of high-performance non-precious metal catalyst for hydrogen generation.Kun Liang Anika Tabassum Manish Kothakonda Xiaodong Zhang Ruiqi Zhang Brianna Kenney Brent D.Koplitz Jianwei Sun Michael Nagui 2022Materials Reports(Energy)2022,2,1:0
15Coupling Sb_(2)WO_(6)microflowers and conductive polypyrrole for efficient potassium storage by enhanced conductivity and K^(+) diffusivity显示文摘Although metal oxide compounds are considered as desirable anode materials for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)due to their high theoretical capacity,the large volume variation remains a key issue in realizing metal oxide anodes with long cycle life and excellent rate property.In this study,polypyrroleencapsulated Sb_(2)WO_(6)(denoted Sb_(2)WO_(6)@PPy)microflowers are synthesized by a one-step hydrothermal method followed by in-situ polymerization and coating by pyrrole.Leveraging the nanosheet-stacked Sb_(2)WO_(6)microflower structure,the improved electronic conductivity,and the architectural protection offered by the PPy coating,Sb_(2)WO_(6)@PPy exhibits boosted potassium storage properties,thereby demonstrating an outstanding rate property of 110.3 m A h g^(-1)at 5 A g^(-1)and delivering a long-period cycling stability with a reversible capacity of 197.2 m A h g^(-1)after 500 cycles at 1 A g^(-1).In addition,the conversion and alloying processes of Sb_(2)WO_(6)@PPy in PIBs with the generation of intermediates,K_(2)WO_(4)and K_(3)Sb,is determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and exsitu X-ray diffraction during potassiation/depotassiation.Density functional theory calculations demonstrate that the robust coupling between PPy and Sb_(2)WO_(6)endues it with a much stronger total density of states and a built-in electric field,thereby increasing the electronic conductivity,and thus effectively reduces the K^(+)diffusion barrier.Ruiqi Tian Hehe Zhang Zeyu Yuan Yuehua Man Jianlu Sun Jianchun Bao Ming-Sheng Wang Xiaosi Zhou 2024Journal of Energy Chemistry2024,89,2:0
16CUL4B orchestrates mesenchymal stem cell commitment by epigenetically repressing KLF4 and C/EBPδ显示文摘Dysregulated lineage commitment of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)contributes to impaired bone formation and an imbalance between adipogenesis and osteogenesis during skeletal aging and osteoporosis.The intrinsic cellular mechanism that regulates MSC commitment remains unclear.Here,we identified Cullin 4B(CUL4B)as a critical regulator of MSC commitment.CUL4B is expressed in bone marrow MSCs(BMSCs)and downregulated with aging in mice and humans.Conditional knockout of Cul4b in MSCs resulted in impaired postnatal skeletal development with low bone mass and reduced bone formation.Moreover,depletion of CUL4B in MSCs aggravated bone loss and marrow adipose accumulation during natural aging or after ovariectomy.In addition,CUL4B deficiency in MSCs reduced bone strength.Mechanistically,CUL4B promoted osteogenesis and inhibited adipogenesis of MSCs by repressing KLF4 and C/EBPδexpression,respectively.The CUL4B complex directly bound to Klf4 and Cebpd and epigenetically repressed their transcription.Collectively,this study reveals CUL4B-mediated epigenetic regulation of the osteogenic or adipogenic commitment of MSCs,which has therapeutic implications in osteoporosis.Ruiqi Yu Hong Han Shuxian Chu Yijun Ding Shiqi Jin Yufeng Wang Wei Jiang Yuting Liu Yongxin Zou Molin Wang Qiao Liu Gongping Sun Baichun Jiang Yaoqin Gong 2023Bone Research2023,11,2:0
17Plasma-enabled synthesis of ordered PtFe alloy nanoparticles encapsulated with ultrathin N-doped carbon shells for efficient methanol electrooxidation显示文摘Methanol oxidation reaction(MOR),the key reaction for clean energy generation in fuel cells,is kinetically sluggish and short-lasting because of insufficient catalytic activity and stability of the common Pt-based electrocatalysts.Ordered Pt alloy structures which promise to surmount these issues,are challenging and impractical to fabricate using common high-temperature annealing.To address the urgent need for simple and rapid synthesis methods for such alloys,here we report the versatile plasma-assisted thermal annealing synthesis of a robust electrocatalyst with PtFe alloys supported on N-doped carbon nanotubes(denoted as PtFe@NCNT-P).Benefiting from the reactive plasma-specific effects,the PtFe@NCNT-P electrocatalyst features ultrafine PtFe alloy nanoparticles(mean size~2.88 nm,ordered degree~87.07%)and ultrathin N-doped carbon(NC)shells(0.3–0.7 nm),leading to the excellent catalytic activity and stability toward MOR.The catalyst shows the specific and mass activities of 3.99 mA/cm^(2)and 2,148.5 mA/mg,which are 7.82 and 7.41 times higher than those for commercial Pt/C(0.51 mA/cm^(2),290 mA/mg),and 2.18 and 2.59 times higher compared to the plasma-untreated PtFe@NCNT(1.83 mA/cm2,829.5 mA/mg),respectively.The PtFe@NCNT-P further exhibits extraordinary stability during the long-term chronoamperometry test and 1,000-cycle cyclic voltammetry scanning,much better compared to PtFe@NCNT samples even after the longer thermal annealing.These findings show great potential of the plasma-enabled synthesis of high-performance carbon-supported metallic electrocatalysts for the emerging clean energy technologies.Xuxu Sun Zhijian Mao Ruiqi Wang Xiaohu Pi Changle Chen Junbo Zhong Qi Wang Kostya(Ken)Ostrikov 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:0

20Cocoon-shaped P3-type K0.5Mn0.7Ni0.3O2 as an advanced cathode material for potassium-ion batteries显示文摘Potassium ion batteries(PIBs)are emerging as potential next-generation energy storage systems on account of their low cost and high theoretical energy density.Nevertheless,they also face challenges of low specific capacity and suboptimal cycling stability.Herein,we synthesize a cocoon-like P3-type K_(0.5)Mn_(0.7)Ni_(0.3)O_(2)(KMNO)cathode material by a self-template method.The KMNO cocoons possess a hierarchical layered architecture composed of nanoparticle stacking,which can accelerate the transport kinetics of potassium ions,mitigate the stress caused by K^(+)intercalation and deintercalation,and improve structural stability.In addition,Ni can not only alleviate the Jahn-Teller distortion and suppress the phase transition to stabilize the structure,but also act as an electrochemically active element,providing the capacity of two electrons from Ni2+to Ni4+.Combining the advantages of structure and nickel substitution,the P3-type KMNO cocoons are used for electrochemical performance testing of PIB cathodes,delivering an excellent rate capability of 57.1 m A h g^(-1)at 500 m A g^(-1)and a remarkable cycling stability of 77.0%over 300 cycles at 100 m A g^(-1).Impressively,the KMNO cocoons//pitch-derived soft carbon assembled full battery exhibits superior electrochemical performance with a reversible capacity of 79.7 m A h g^(-1)at 50 m A g^(-1).Moreover,ex-situ XRD also further reveals a solid solution phase reaction with a volume change of only 1.46%.This work furnishes a suitable approach to fabricating highperformance layered oxide cathodes for PIBs with outstanding cycling stability and rate capability.Liping Duan Jianzhi Xu Yifan Xu Ruiqi Tian Yingying Sun Chuannan Zhu Xiangyin Mo Xiaosi Zhou 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,1:0
