| 1 | Chemical composition and antimicrobial activity of essential oil isolated from the cultured mycelia of Ganoderma japonicum显示文摘Objective:To explore a new natural antibiotic. Methods:The chemical composition of the essential oil from Ganoderma japonicum (G. japonicum) mycelia was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS). The antimicrobial activity of the oil was evaluated against eighteen microorganisms,including bacteria,mildew and yeast by using a disc diffusion method. Furthermore,the minimum inhibitory concentrations(MIC) and the minimum bactericidal concentrations(MBC) of the essential oil against twelve clinical pathogens were determined. Results:The main components of the oil were nerolidol,decadienal,linalool and benzyl alcohol. The antimicrobial results indicated that the oil inhibited all the tested bacterium,especially Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in which the antibacterial activity exhibited a MBC of 1.03 mg/ml. Conclusion:The essential oil of G. japonicum mycelium has significant inhibitory activity. | 2 | A spatial attentive and temporal dilated(SATD)GCN for skeleton-based action recognition显示文摘Current studies have shown that the spatial-temporal graph convolutional network(STGCN)is effective for skeleton-based action recognition.However,for the existing STGCN-based methods,their temporal kernel size is usually fixed over all layers,which makes them cannot fully exploit the temporal dependency between discontinuous frames and different sequence lengths.Besides,most of these methods use average pooling to obtain global graph feature from vertex features,resulting in losing much fine-grained information for action classification.To address these issues,in this work,the authors propose a novel spatial attentive and temporal dilated graph convolutional network(SATD-GCN).It contains two important components,that is,a spatial attention pooling module(SAP)and a temporal dilated graph convolution module(TDGC).Specifically,the SAP module can select the human body joints which are beneficial for action recognition by a self-attention mechanism and alleviates the influence of data redundancy and noise.The TDGC module can effectively extract the temporal features at different time scales,which is useful to improve the temporal perception field and enhance the robustness of the model to different motion speed and sequence length.Importantly,both the SAP module and the TDGC module can be easily integrated into the ST-GCN-based models,and significantly improve their performance.Extensive experiments on two large-scale benchmark datasets,that is,NTU-RGB+D and Kinetics-Skeleton,demonstrate that the authors’method achieves the state-of-the-art performance for skeleton-based action recognition. | Jiaxu Zhang Gaoxiang Ye Zhigang Tu Yongtao Qin Qianqing Qin Jinlu Zhang Jun Liu | 2022 | CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology2022,7,1: | 3 |

| 4 | Assessment of internal controls for data normalization of gene expression after different bacterial stimulation by quantitative real-time PCR in golden pompano Trachinotus blochii显示文摘Trachinotus blochii is one of the important commercial fish species.In this study,we aim to confirm the reliability reference genes in T.blochii during different bacterial challenge through quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR).The expression of the seven selected genes in four immune organs(i.e.,spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill)stimulated with Vibrio harveyi,Edwardsiella tarda,and Streptococcus agalactiae were determined by qRT-PCR.The PCR data was analyzed using the geNorm and NormFinder algorithms.The results showed the selection of the internal controls should be tissue specific when studying gene expression in response to bacterial stimulation.After 48 h of stimulation with V.harveyi,geNorm ranked EF1 A/Actin,18 S rRNA/B2M,UBCE/B2M,and 18 S rRNA/B2M,as the most stably expressed genes in spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill,respectively.After 48 h of stimulation with E.tarda,geNorm ranked 18 S rRNA/EF1 A,18 S rRNA/B2M,B2M/RPL13,and 18 S rRNA/EF1 A,as the most stably expressed genes in spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill,respectively.After 48 h of stimulation with S.agalactiae,18 S rRNA/EF1 A,18 S rRNA/B2 M,B2 M/Actin,and 18 S rRNA/B2M were ranked as the most stably expressed genes in spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill,respectively.Compared to the results analyzed by geNorm,reference genes received similar rankings when using NormFinder software.The results showed that the reference genes appeared to be not only tissue specific,but also specific to the infecting species of bacteria.If one gene is preferred when T.blochii were infected by bacteria,18 S rRNA,B2M,B2M,18 S rRNA may be used in spleen,kidney,intestine,and gill,respectively. | CHEN Xiaojuan ZHANG Xiaoqi SUN Yun TU Zhigang CAO Zhenjie WANG Shifeng ZHOU Yongcan | 2020 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,2: | 1 |

| 14 | A new discovered ABCA1 gene polymorphisms and the association of ABCA1 SNPs with coronary artery disease and plasma lipids in Chinese population显示文摘Objective: Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) of ATP-binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1) gene are related to plasma lipid and susceptibility to coronary artery disease (CAD). Our first goal was to screen all 50 coding regions of ABCA1 to find new SNPs. Our second goal was to investigate the frequency distribution of R1587K and M883I polymorphisms of ABCA1 gene, which are the variant occurred most frequently, in Chinese people and to evaluate their association with the CAD phenotype and plasma lipids. Methods: Single-strand conformation polymorphism (SSCP) and DNA sequence were used for confirming new SNP of ABCA1, and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) were applied for confirming genotypes of R1587K and M883I in 112 CAD cases and 108 healthy people. Results: We discovered a new ABCA1 SNP in Chinese population, which converse 233 amino acids from Methionine to Valine (M233V). This new ABCA1 SNP located in exon7, and might potentially modulate the biological function of lipid metabolism. For R1587K and M883I SNPs, the K allele and I allele frequency was 28.9%and 31.1%, respectively. The K allele at R1587K conferred lower mean values of HDL-C in a dose-dependent manner in both CAD patients and healthy people. However, 883I allele was not associated with plasma lipid level. Neither 1587KK nor 883II associated with increased risk of CAD. | 16 | Microstructural characterization of cobalt treated by laser surface melting under different powers显示文摘The effect of laser power outputs on microstructural evolution of cobalt(Co) treated by laser surface melting(LSM) are systematically characterized by electron channeling contrast and electron backscatter diffraction techniques equipped in scanning electron microscope. Results shows three distinctly different microstructural characteristics from surface to substrate in Co samples treated by LSM: solidification substructure(cell and cellular-dendritic) and phase transformation structure(ε martensitic plates) in the elongated columnar grains for melting zone(MZ), ε martensitic plates in insufficient recrystallization grains for heat affected zone(HAZ),and fully recrystallization microstructure for base metal(BM). Although the similarity of general evolution profiles for LSM treatment on Co under different laser power outputs, the trend of the penetration and width depth for MZ is obviously increased with increase of laser power outputs, and cellular substructure is more pronounced in the specimens treated by the higher power. | 18 | Reduced Firing of Nucleus Accumbens Parvalbumin Interneurons Impairs Risk Avoidance in DISC1 Transgenic Mice显示文摘A strong animal survival instinct is to approach objects and situations that are of benefit and to avoid risk.In humans,a large proportion of mental disorders are accompanied by impairments in risk avoidance.One of the most important genes involved in mental disorders is disrupted-in-schizophrenia-1(DISC1),and animal models in which this gene has some level of dysfunction show emotion-related impairments.However,it is not known whether DISC1 mouse models have an impairment in avoiding potential risks.In the present study,we used DISC1-N terminal truncation(DISC1-N^(TM))mice to investigate risk avoidance and found that these mice were impaired in risk avoidance on the elevated plus maze(EPM)and showed reduced social preference in a three-chamber social interaction test.Following EPM tests,c-Fos expression levels indicated that the nucleus accumbens(NAc)was associated with risk-avoidance behavior in DISC1-N^(TM)mice.In addition,in vivo electrophysiological recordings following tamoxifen administration showed that the firing rates of fast-spiking neurons(FS)in the NAc were significantly lower in DISC1-N^(TM)mice than in wild-type(WT)mice.In addition,in vitro patch clamp recording revealed that the frequency of action potentials stimulated by current injection was lower in parvalbumin(PV)neurons in the NAc of DISC1-N^(TM)mice than in WT controls.The impairment of risk avoidance in DISC1-N^(TM)mice was rescued using optogenetic tools that activated NAcPV neurons.Finally,inhibition of the activity of NAcPV neurons in PV-Cre mice mimicked the risk-avoidance impairment found in DISC1-N^(TM)mice during tests on the elevated zero maze.Taken together,our findings confirm an impairment in risk avoidance in DISC1-N^(TM)mice and suggest that reduced excitability of NAc^(PV) neurons is responsible. | Xinyi Zhou Bifeng Wu Wenhao Liu Qian Xiao Wei He Ying Zhou Pengfei Wei Xu Zhang Yue Liu Jie Wang Jufang He Zhigang Zhang Weidong Li Liping Wang Jie Tu | 2021 | Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,9: | 0 |
| 19 | The landscape of UBE2S in hepatocellular carcinoma: Prognostic significance, immuno-oncology feature and drug response显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the third leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide.1 E2 ubiquitin conjugating enzymes (UBE2) are potential therapeutic targets in tumors arising from genomic instability and tumor microenvironment (TME).2,3 UBE2S, an important UBE2, has demonstrated strong oncogenic activities in various malignant cancers, including HCC. However, a comprehensive study regarding its role in HCC is still absent, and its association with immunology and drug response of HCC is still unclear. In this study, we conducted a pan-cancer analysis of UBE2S expression and prognosis, carried out enrichment analysis of UBE2S-associated genes, and analyzed association between UBE2S expression and HCC microenvironment, stemness and drug response. Collectively, our results demonstrated that UBE2S expression was significantly increased in multiple types of cancer, including HCC, and harbors prognostic values for HCC. Potential function of UBE2S involves modulation of ubiquitin mediated proteolysis and cell cycle progression. Furthermore, in HCC, UBE2S expression was positively correlated with TME infiltration, microsatellite instability (MSI), DNA methylation, stemness and drug response. | 20 | Nail Holding Performance of Self-Tapping Screws on Masson Pine and Chinese Fir Dimension Lumbers显示文摘Screw connection is a type most commonly applied to timber structures.As important commercial tree species in China,Masson pine and Chinese fir have the potential to prepare wood structures.In this study,the effects of the diameter of the self-tapping screw and the guiding bores on the nail holding performance on different sections of Masson pine and Chinese fir dimension lumbers were mainly explored.The results showed that:(1)The nail holding strength of the tangential section was the maximum,followed by that of the radial section,and that of the cross section was the minimum.(2)The nail holding strength of Masson pine was higher than that of Chinese fir.(3)The nail holding strength grew with the increase in the diameter of self-tapping screws,but a large diameter would lead to plastic cracking of the timber,thus further affecting the nail holding strength.Masson pine and Chinese fir reached the maximum nail holding strength when the diameter of self-tapping screws was 3.5 mm.(4)Under a large diameter of screws,prefabricated guiding bores could mitigate timber cracking and improve its nail holding strength.(5)Prefabricated guiding bores were more necessary for the screw connection of Masson pine.The results obtained could provide a scientific basis for the screw connection design of Masson pine and Chinese fir timber structures. | De Li Bengang Zhang Yuan Tu Guoming Xiao Meifen Tian Xiaoxue Xu Xiao Zhong Qiaoyan Zhang Zhigang Wu Jiankun Liang | 2023 | Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,10: | 0 |
