1Promoting Effects of Pt on the Catalytic Performance of Supported NiB Amorphous Alloy Catalysts for Benzene Hydrogenation显示文摘A support(denoted AM) was prepared using pseudo-boehmite and mordenite.Ni-B and NiPtB amorphous catalysts were prepared on the support by the impregnation method followed by chemical reduction with a KBH4 solution.And the catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),environment scanning electron microscope(ESEM),inductively coupled plasma(ICP),H2-temperature programmed reduction(H2-TPR),differential thermal analysis(DTA),and BET.Benzene hydrogenation was used as a probe reaction to evaluate the effect of addition of small quantities of Pt on the NiB/AM catalyst.The results show that Pt can promote the reduction of NiO and the formation of active sites,leading to smaller catalyst particles and better dispersion of active metal particles on the support.The catalytic activity,sulfur resistance and thermal stability were remarkably improved by Pt doping of the NiB/AM catalyst.SONG Hua WU Xianchun WANG Huaiyuan LI Feng 2011Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2011,19,4:6
2Morphological and physiological analysis of narrow and striped leaf 1(nsl1) mutant of rice(Oryza sativa L.) and the gene mapping显示文摘The shape and color of rice leaves are important agronomic traits that directly influence the proportion of sunlight energy utilization and ultimately affect the yield and quality.A new mutant exhibiting stable inheritance was identified as derived from ethyl methane sulfonate(EMS)-treated restorer Jinhui 10,tentatively named as narrow and striped leaf 1(nsl1).The nsl1 displayed pale white leaves at the seeding stage and then white striped leaves in parallel to the main vein at the jointing stage.Meanwhile,its leaf blades are significantly narrower than the control group of Jinhui 10.The chloroplast structures of cells in the white striped area of the nsl1 mutant break down,and the photosynthetic pigments are significantly lower than that of the wild type.Moreover,fluorescence parameters,such as F0,F v/F m,U psII,qp,and ETR,in the nsl1 mutant are significantly lower than those of the wild type,and the photosynthetic efficiency is also significantly decreased.These changes in leaf color and shape,together with physiological changes in the nsl1,result in smaller plant height and a decrease in the most important agronomic traits,such as the number of grains per panicle,grain weight,etc.Genetic analysis shows that the narrow and striped traits of the nsl1 mutant are controlled by a single recessive nuclear gene,which is located between InDel 16and InDel 12 in chromosome 3.The physical distance is204 kb.So far,no similar genes of such leaf color and shape in this area have been reported.This study has laid a solid foundation for the gene cloning and function analysis of NSL1.Fangming Zhao Yong Zhang Yanru Wu Tongming Wang Ling Ma Zhenglin Yang Xia Wei Xianchun Sang Yinghua Ling Nan Wang Changwei Zhang Guanghua He 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,9:3
3Association of systemic inflammation and body mass index with survival in patients with resectable gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinomas显示文摘Objective:The systemic inflammation index and body mass index(BMI)are easily accessible markers that can predict mortality.However,the prognostic value of the combined use of these two markers remains unclear.The goal of this study was therefore to evaluate the association of these markers with outcomes based on a large cohort of patients with gastric cancer.Methods:A total of 2,542 consecutive patients undergoing radical surgery for gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma between 2009 and 2014 were included.Systemic inflammation was quantified by the preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR).High systemic inflammation was defined as NLR≥3,and underweight was defined as BMI<18.5 kg/m2.Results:Among 2,542 patients,NLR≥3 and underweight were common[627(25%)and 349(14%),respectively].In the entire cohort,NLR≥3 or underweight independently predicted overall survival(OS)[hazard ratio(HR):1.236,95%confidence interval(95%CI):1.069–1.430;and HR:1.600,95%CI:1.350–1.897,respectively]and recurrence-free survival(RFS)(HR:1.230,95%CI:1.054–1.434;and HR:1.658,95%CI:1.389–1.979,respectively).Patients with both NLR≥3 and underweight(vs.neither)had much worse OS(HR:2.445,95%CI:1.853–3.225)and RFS(HR:2.405,95%CI:1.802–3.209).Furthermore,we observed similar results in subgroup analyses according to pathological stage,age,and postoperative chemotherapy.Conclusions:Our results showed that preoperative elevated NLR and decreased BMI had a significant negative effect on survival.Underweight combined with severe inflammation could enhance prognostication.Taking active therapeutic measures to reduce inflammation and increase nutrition may help improve outcomes.Xianchun Gao Yanan Pan Weili Han Caie Hu Chenchen Wang Ling Chen Yong Guo Yupeng Shi Yan Pan Huahong Xie Liping Yao Jianjun Yang Jianyong Zheng Xiaohua Li Xiaonan Liu Liu Hong Jipeng Li Mengbin Li Gang Ji Zengshan Li Jielai Xia Qingchuan Zhao Daiming Fan Kaichun Wu Yongzhan Nie 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1:2

8Transcriptional identification of differentially expressed genes associated with division of labor in Apis cerana cerana显示文摘Workers of Apis cerana cerana undergo an in-hive nursing to outdoor foraging transition,but the genes underlying this age-related transition remain largely unknown.Here,we sequenced the head transcriptomes of its 7-day-old normal nurses,18-and 22-day-old normal foragers,7-day-old precocious foragers and 22-day-old over-aged nurses to unravel the genes associated with this transition.Mapping of the sequence reads to Apis mellifera genome showed that the three types of foragers had a greater percentage of reads from annotated exons and intergenic regions,whereas the two types of nurses had a greater percentage of reads from introns.Pair-and group-wise comparisons of the five transcriptomes revealed 59 uniquely expressed genes(18 in nurses and 41 in foragers)and 14 nurse-and 15 forager-upregulated genes.The uniquely expressed genes are usually low-abundance long noncoding RNAs,transcription factors,transcription coactivators,RNA-binding proteins,kinases or phosphatases that are involved in signaling and/or regulation,whereas the nurse-or forager-upregulated genes are often high-abundance downstream genes that directly perform the tasks of nurses or foragers.Taken together,these results suggest that the nurse-forager transition is coordinated by a social signal-triggered epigenetic shift from introns to exons/intergenic regions and the resulting transcriptional shift between the nurse-and forager-associated genes.Yi-Jie Chen Ying-Jiao Li Shuang Wu Wen-Chao Yang Jing Miao Shao-Hua Gu Jiang-Hong Li Xiao-Qing Miao Xianchun Li 2021Insect Science2021,28,2:1

13Seasonal and treatment-process variations in invertebrates in drinking water treatment plants显示文摘Problems associated with excessive propagation and leakage of invertebrates in drinking water have received increasing attention in recent years.We performed a monthly survey of invertebrate abundance and taxa in the effluent of each treatment stage in a drinking water treatment plant between May 2015 and April 2016 and analyzed seasonal and treatment-process variations in invertebrates.The results showed that invertebrate abundances in raw water,effluent of the biological activated carbon(BAC)filter,and finished water significantly correlated with water temperature,whereas no correlation was observed between water temperature and invertebrate abundance in the effluents of the sedimentation tank and sand filter.The dominant taxa in the effluent of each treatment stage were rotifers,nematodes,and crustaceans.The sedimentation tank could efficiently remove invertebrates with an annual average removal rate of 92%.The propagation and leakage of invertebrates occurred in the sand and BAC filters but more seriously in the latter.The average reproduction rate in the BAC filter was 268.8%with rotifers as the taxon that leaked the most.Invertebrate survival and reproduction were also observed in the chlorine-disinfected clean water reservoir with an average reproduction rate of 41.9%.Owing to differences in chlorine resistance,the reproduction ability of the dominant taxa was in the order nematodes>crustaceans>rotifers.The proportion of endogenous invertebrates gradually increased along the treatment process.The average proportion of endogenous invertebrates in the finished water was higher than 79.0%.Our findings suggested that waterworks should pay more attention to endogenous invertebrate growth.Zhiling Wu Xianchun Tang Hongbin Chen 2021Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,4:0

15Structural and optical properties of AlN sputtering deposited on sapphire substrates with various orientations显示文摘AlN thin films were deposited on c-,a-and r-plane sapphire substrates by the magnetron sputtering technique.The in-fluence of high-temperature thermal annealing(HTTA)on the structural,optical properties as well as surface stoichiometry were comprehensively investigated.The significant narrowing of the(0002)diffraction peak to as low as 68 arcsec of AlN after HTTA implies a reduction of tilt component inside the AlN thin films,and consequently much-reduced dislocation densities.This is also supported by the appearance of E2(high)Raman peak and better Al-N stoichiometry after HTTA.Furthermore,the in-creased absorption edge after HTTA suggests a reduction of point defects acting as the absorption centers.It is concluded that HTTA is a universal post-treatment technique in improving the crystalline quality of sputtered AlN regardless of sapphire orienta-tion.Xianchun Peng Jie Sun Huan Liu Liang Li Qikun Wang Liang Wu Wei Guo Fanping Meng Li Chen Feng Huang Jichun Ye 2022Journal of Semiconductors2022,43,2:0
