Principles and technology for stepwise utilization of resources for mitigating deep mine heat hazards显示文摘As is well known, deep mines are hot. As mining depth increases, the temperature of the surrounding rock also increases. This seriously affects mine safety and production and has restricted the exploitation of deep coal resources. Therefore, reducing the working face temperature to improve working conditions by controlling these heat hazards is an urgent problem. Considering problems in cooling deep mines both domestically and abroad along with the actual conditions of the Zhangshuanglou coal mine, we propose a HEMS technology that uses heat resources from deep mines in a stepwise manner. HEMS means a high temperature ex-change machinery system. Mine inrush-water is used as a source of cooling. Twice the energy is extracted from the mine inrush water. Heat is used for building heating in the winter and cold water is used for cooling buildings in the summer. This opens a new technology for stepwise utilization of heat energy in deep mines. Energy conservation and reduced pollution, an improved environment and sustainable economic development are realized by this technique. The economic and social effects are obvious and illustrate a good prospect for the application and extension of the method. | HE Manchao CAO Xiuling XIE Qiao YANG Jiahua QI Ping YANG Qing CHEN Xueqian | 2010 | Mining Science and Technology2010,20,1: | 15
Responses of the Toll-like receptor and melanoma differentiation-associated protein 5 signaling pathways to avian infectious bronchitis virus infection in chicks显示文摘Avian infectious bronchitis virus(IBV) is a Gammacoronavirus in the family Coronaviridae and causes highly contagious respiratory disease in chickens. Innate immunity plays significant roles in host defense against IBV. Here, we explored the interaction between IBV and the host innate immune system. Severe histopathological lesions were observed in the tracheal mucosa at 3–5days post inoculation(dpi) and in the kidney at 8 dpi, with heavy viral loads at 1–11 and 1–28 dpi, respectively. The expression of m RNAs encoding Toll-like receptor(TLR) 3 and TLR7 were upregulated at 3–8 dpi, and that of TIR-domain-containing adapter-inducing interferon(IFN) β(TRIF) was upregulated at 21 dpi in the trachea and kidney. Myeloid differentiation primary response protein 88(My D88) was upregulated in the trachea during early infection. Tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor(TRAF) 3 and TRAF6 were upregulated expression in both tissues. Moreover, melanoma differentiation-associated protein 5(MDA5), laboratory of genetics and physiology 2(LGP2), stimulator of IFN genes(STING), and mitochondrial antiviral signaling protein(MAVS), as well as TANK binding kinase 1(TBK1), inhibitor of kappa B kinase(IKK) ?, IKKα, IKKβ,IFN regulatory factor(IRF) 7, nuclear factor of kappa B(NF-κB), IFN-α, IFN-β, various interleukins(ILs), and macrophage inflammatory protein-1β(MIP-1β) were significantly upregulated in the trachea and downregulated in the kidney. These results suggested that the TLR and MDA5 signaling pathways and innate immune cytokine were induced after IBV infection. Additionally, consistent responses to IBV infection were observed during early infection, with differential and complicated responses in the kidney. | Yining He Zhiwen Xie Jinglong Dai Yanjie Cao Jinlian Hou Yansheng Zheng Tianchao Wei Meilan Mo Ping Wei | 2016 | Virologica Sinica2016,31,1: | 14
Optimizing Parameters of CSM-CERES-Maize Model to Improve Simulation Performance of Maize Growth and Nitrogen Uptake in Northeast China显示文摘Crop models can be useful tools for optimizing fertilizer management for a targeted crop yield while minimizing nutrient losses. In this paper, the parameters of the decision support system for agrotechnology transfer(DSSAT)-CERES-Maize were optimized using a new method to provide a better simulation of maize(Zea mays L.) growth and N uptake in response to different nitrogen application rates.Field data were collected from a 5 yr field experiment(2006-2010) on a Black soil(Typic hapludoll) in Gongzhuling,Jilin Province,Northeast China. After cultivar calibration, the CERES-Maize model was able to simulate aboveground biomass and crop yield of in the evaluation data set(n-RMSE=5.0-14.6%),but the model still over-estimated aboveground N uptake(i.e.,with E values from-4.4 to-21.3 kg N ha-1).By analyzing DSSAT equation,N stress coefficient for changes in concentration with growth stage(CTCNP2) is related to N uptake.Further sensitivity analysis of the CTCNP2 showed that the DSSAT model simulated maize nitrogen uptake more precisely after the CTCNP2 coefficient was adjusted to the field site condition. The results indicated that in addition to calibrating 6 coefficients of maize cultivars, radiation use efficiency(RUE),growing degree days for emergence(GDDE),N stress coefficient,CTCNP2,and soil fertility factor(SLPF) also need to be calibrated in order to simulate aboveground biomass, yield and N uptake correctly.Independent validation was conducted using 2008-2010 experiments and the good agreement between the simulated and the measured results indicates that the DSSAT CERES-Maize model could be a useful tool for predicting maize production in Northeast China. | LIU Hai-long YANG Jing-yi HE Ping BAI You-lu JIN Ji-yun Craig F Drury ZHU Ye-ping YANGXue-ming LI Wen-juan XIE Jia-gui YANG Jing-min Gerrit Hoogenboom | 2012 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2012,11,11: | 13
Neddylation of PTEN regulates its nuclear import and promotes tumor development显示文摘PTEN tumor suppressor opposes the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway in the cytoplasm and maintains chromosomal integrity in the nucleus.Nucleus–cytoplasm shuttling of PTEN is regulated by ubiquitylation,SUMOylation and phosphorylation, and nuclear PTEN has been proposed to exhibit tumor-suppressive functions. Here we show that PTEN is conjugated by Nedd8 under high glucose conditions, which induces PTEN nuclear import without effects on PTEN stability.PTEN neddylation is promoted by the XIAP ligase and removed by the NEDP1 deneddylase. We identify Lys197 and Lys402 as major neddylation sites on PTEN.Neddylated PTEN accumulates predominantly in the nucleus and promotes rather than suppresses cell proliferation and metabolism. The nuclear neddylated PTEN dephosphorylates the fatty acid synthase(FASN)protein, inhibits the TRIM21-mediated ubiquitylation and degradation of FASN,and then promotes de novo fatty acid synthesis. In human breast cancer tissues, neddylated PTEN correlates with tumor progression and poor prognosis. Therefore,we demonstrate a previously unidentified pool of nuclear PTEN in the Nedd8-conjugated form and an unexpected tumor-promoting role of neddylated PTEN. | Ping Xie Zhiqiang Peng Yujiao Chen Hongchang Li Mengge Du Yawen Tan Xin Zhang Zhe Lu Chun-Ping Cui Cui Hua Liu Fuchu He Lingqiang Zhang | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,3: | 11

CD147-spike protein is a novel route for SARS-CoV-2 infection to host cells显示文摘In face of the everlasting battle toward COVID-19 and the rapid evolution of SARS-CoV-2,no specific and effective drugs for treating this disease have been reported until today.Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2),a receptor of SARS-CoV-2,mediates the virus infection by binding to spike protein.Although ACE2 is expressed in the lung, kidney, and intestine, its expressing levels are rather low, especially in the lung.Considering the great infectivity of COVID-19,we speculate that SARS-CoV-2 may depend on other routes to facilitate its infection. Here,we first discover an interaction between host cell receptor CD147 and SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. The loss of CD147 or blocking CD147 in Vero E6 and BEAS-2B cell lines by anti-CD147 antibody,Meplazumab, inhibits SARSCoV-2 amplification.Expression of human CD147 allows virus entry into non-susceptible BHK-21 cells, which can be neutralized by CD147 extracellular fragment.Viral loads are detectable in the lungs of human CD147(hCD147)mice infected with SARS-CoV-2,but not in those of virus-infected wild type mice.Interestingly, virions are observed in lymphocytes of lung tissue from a COVID-19 patient.Human T cells with a property of ACE2 natural deficiency can be infected with SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus in a dosedependent manner, which is specifically inhibited by Meplazumab.Furthermore,CD147 mediates virus entering host cells by endocytosis.Together, our study reveals a novel virus entry route,CD147-spike protein, which provides an important target for developing specific and effective drug against COVID-19. | Ke Wang Wei Chen Zheng Zhang Yongqiang Deng Jian-Qi Lian Peng Du Ding Wei Yang Zhang Xiu-Xuan Sun Li Gong Xu Yang Lei He Lei Zhang Zhiwei Yang Jie-Jie Geng Ruo Chen Hai Zhang Bin Wang Yu-Meng Zhu Gang Nan Jian-Li Jiang Ling Li Jiao Wu Peng Lin Wan Huang Liangzhi Xie Zhao-Hui Zheng Kui Zhang Jin-Lin Miao Hong-Yong Cui Min Huang Jun Zhang Ling Fu Xiang-Min Yang Zhongpeng Zhao Shihui Sun Hongjing Gu Zhe Wang Chun-Fu Wang Yacheng Lu Ying-Ying Liu Qing-Yi Wang Huijie Bian Ping Zhu Zhi-Nan Chen | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 9

Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Lung Cancer Patients显示文摘The prevalence of malnutrition is high among oncology patients in China. Although the Patient- Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is widely recognized as an important nutritional assessment tool, it has not been validated for Chinese cancer patients. The purpose of this study was to conduct an analysis of nutrition screening and assessment data to validate the Chinese version of the PG-SGA in Chinese patients with lung cancer. This was an observational, cross-sectional study of 2,000 consecutive adult patients with lung cancer treated at several tertiary hospitals in China. Anthropometric and patient descriptive data were collected. The PG-SGA generated a score for the nutritional risk and a global rating for the nutritional status. The internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity were evaluated, and a known-groups comparison and principal component analyses were conducted to evaluate the reliability and validity of the PG-SGA. The known-groups comparison demonstrated the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate lung cancer patients of different nutritional and body mass index (BMI) groups. A confirmatory factor analysis supported the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. In terms of the internal and external consistency, the PG-SGA demonstrated intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC) up to 0.987. Alternative form validity was also demonstrated between Box 4 of the PG-SGA and the Karnofsky Performance Status score, with excellent external consistency (r = 0.972, P < 0.001). The construct validity was supported, and selected questionnaire dimensions were evident in the principal component analysis. Significant Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were demonstrated. The Chinese version of the PG-SGA demonstrated significant reliability and sufficient exploratory properties to support its validity. It seems to be a valid tool that can be used to access the nutritional status of Chinese lung cancer patients. The validity of the PG-SGA in Chinese cancer patients warrants further investigation in other cancer types. | Zhen Ming Fu Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Wei Li Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Chang Wang Han Ping Shi The Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers (INSCOC) Group | 2016 | Journal of Nutritional Oncology2016,1,1: | 7
Intelligent Fault Diagnosis of Rotary Machinery Based on Unsupervised Multiscale Representation Learning显示文摘The performance of traditional vibration based fault diagnosis methods greatly depends on those handcrafted features extracted using signal processing algorithms, which require significant amounts of domain knowledge and human labor, and do not generalize well to new diagnosis domains. Recently, unsupervised representation learning provides an alternative promising solution to feature extraction in traditional fault diagnosis due to its superior learning ability from unlabeled data. Given that vibration signals usually contain multiple temporal structures, this paper proposes a multiscale representation learning(MSRL) framework to learn useful features directly from raw vibration signals, with the aim to capture rich and complementary fault pattern information at different scales. In our proposed approach, a coarse-grained procedure is first employed to obtain multiple scale signals from an original vibration signal. Then, sparse filtering, a newly developed unsupervised learning algorithm, is applied to automatically learn useful features from each scale signal, respectively, and then the learned features at each scale to be concatenated one by one to obtain multiscale representations. Finally, the multiscale representations are fed into a supervised classifier to achieve diagnosis results. Our proposed approach is evaluated using two different case studies: motor bearing and wind turbine gearbox fault diagnosis. Experimental results show that the proposed MSRL approach can take full advantages of the availability of unlabeled data to learn discriminative features and achieved better performance with higher accuracy and stability compared to the traditional approaches. | Guo-Qian Jiang Ping Xie Xiao Wang Meng Chen Qun He | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2017,30,6: | 6
Generation of electricity from CO_2 mineralization: Principle and realization显示文摘Current CO2 reduction and utilization technologies suffer from high energy consuming. Thus, an energy favourable route is in urgent demanding. CO2 mineralization is theoretically an energy releasing process for CO2 reduction and utilization, but an approach to recovery this energy has so far remained elusive. For the first time, here we proposed the principle of harvesting electrical energy directly from CO2 mineralization, and realized an energy output strategy for CO2 utilization and reduction via a CO2-mineralization fuel cell(CMFC) system. In this system CO2 and industrial alkaline wastes were used as feedstock, and industrial valuable Na HCO3 was produced concomitantly during the electricity generation. The highest power density of this system reached 5.5 W/m2, higher than many microbial fuel cells. The maximum open circuit voltage reached 0.452 V. Moreover, this system was demonstrated viable to low concentration CO2(10%) and other carbonation process. Thus, the existing of an energy-generating and environmentally friendly strategy to utilize CO2 as a supplement to the current scenario of CO2 emission control has been demonstrated. | XIE He Ping WANG Yu Fei HE Yang GOU Ma Ling LIU Tao WANG Jin Long TANG Liang JIANG Wen ZHANG Ru XIE Ling Zhi LIANG Bin | 2014 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,12: | 6
Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Gastric Cancer Patients显示文摘Purpose Malnutrition is severe among gastric cancer patients in China. While the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is a widely used nutritional assessment tool, the validation for Chinese patients with gastric cancer has not been performed yet. The aim of this research is to validate the Chinese version of the PGSGA in Chinese gastric cancer patients by conducting analyses of nutrition screening and assessment data. Methods Two thousand consecutive adult patients with gastric cancer were included in this observational, cross-sectional study in several tertiary hospitals in China. A survey was made among those patients, which included several questionnaires and some anthropometric parameters. We calculated the parameters to validate the use of PG-SGA categorizing the nutritional status of gastric cancer patients. Then we performed statistical analysis to evaluate the internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity. Results This study verified the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate gastric cancer patients into different nutritional groups. The confirmatory factor analysis verified the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. The internal and external consistency was measured by a concordance analysis which showed an intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) of 0.987. The correlations of the Box 4 score with the Karnofsky performance status score demonstrated alternative form validity with good external consistency (Pearson, r = 0.643, P < 0.001). All three anthropometric dimensions of the PG-SGA were supported by principal component analysis. Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were significant in the majority of tests. | 19 | Back-n white neutron source at CSNS and its applications显示文摘Back-streaming neutrons from the spallation target of the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)that emit through the incoming proton channel were exploited to build a white neutron beam facility(the so-called Back-n white neutron source),which was completed in March 2018.The Back-n neutron beam is very intense,at approximately 29107 n/cm2/s at 55 m from the target, and has a nominal proton beam with a power of 100 kW in the CSNS-I phase and a kinetic energy of 1.6 GeV and a thick tungsten target in multiple slices with modest moderation from the cooling water through the slices. In addition, the excellent energy spectrum spanning from 0.5 eV to 200 MeV,and a good time resolution related tothe time-of-flight measurements make it a typical white neutron source for nuclear data measurements;its overall performance is among that of the best white neutron sources in the world.Equipped with advanced spectrometers, detectors, and application utilities, the Back-n facility can serve wide applications, with a focus on neutron-induced cross-sectional measurements. This article presents an overview of the neutron beam characteristics, the experimental setups, and the ongoing applications at Backn. | Jing-Yu Tang Qi An Jiang-Bo Bai Jie Bao Yu Bao Ping Cao Hao-Lei Chen Qi-Ping Chen Yong-Hao Chen Zhen Chen Zeng-Qi Cui Rui-Rui Fan Chang-Qing Feng Ke-Qing Gao Xiao-Long Gao Min-Hao Gu Chang-Cai Han Zi-Jie Han Guo-Zhu He Yong-Cheng He Yang Hong Yi-Wei Hu Han-Xiong Huang Xi-Ru Huang Hao-Yu Jiang Wei Jiang Zhi-Jie Jiang Han-Tao Jing Ling Kang Bo Li Chao Li Jia-Wen Li Qiang Li Xiao Li Yang Li Jie Liu Rong Liu Shu-Bin Liu Xing-Yan Liu Ze Long Guang-Yuan Luan Chang-Jun Ning Meng-Chen Niu Bin-Bin Qi Jie Ren Zhi-Zhou Ren Xi-Chao Ruan Zhao-Hui Song Kang Sun Zhi-Jia Sun Zhi-Xin Tan Xin-Yi Tang Bin-Bin Tian Li-Jiao Wang Peng-Cheng Wang Zhao-Hui Wang Zhong-Wei Wen Xiao-Guang Wu Xuan Wu Li-Kun Xie Xiao-Yun Yang Yi-Wei Yang Han Yi Li Yu Tao Yu Yong-Ji Yu Guo-Hui Zhang Lin-Hao Zhang Qi-Wei Zhang Xian-Peng Zhang Yu-Liang Zhang Zhi-Yong Zhang Lu-Ping Zhou Zhi-Hao Zhou Ke-Jun Zhu 无 | 2021 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2021,32,1: | 4
Differential expression, molecular cloning, and characterization of porcine beta defensin 114显示文摘Background:β-defensins have attracted considerable research interest because of their roles in protecting hosts from various pathogens. This study was conducted to investigate the expression profiles of the porcineβ-defensin114(PBD114)in different breeds and in response to infections. Moreover, the function of PBD114 protein was partially investigated. Methods:Six Tibetan pigs(TP)and six DLY(Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire)pigs were slaughtered to explore the expression profiles of PBD114 in different breeds and tissues. For infection models, sixteen DLY pigs were divided into two groups and challenged either with sterile saline or E.coli K88.The recombinant protein PBD114(r PBD114)was obtained by using a heterologous expression system in E.coli.Results:PBD114 gene was highly expressed in tissues such as the intestine, liver, spleen, and thymus.Interestingly, the expression level of PBD114 gene was higher in the TP pigs than in the DLY pigs(P<0.05),and was significantly elevated upon E.coli K88 challenge(P<0.05).The nucleotide sequences of PBD114 from Tibetan and DLY pigs was identical, and both showed a 210-bp open reading frame encoding a 69-amino acid mature peptide. To explaore the function of PBD114 protein,PBD114 gene was successfully expressed in E.coli Origami B(DE3)and the molecular weight of the r PBD114 was estimated by SDS-PAGE to be 25 k Da.The r PBD114 was purified and mass spectrometry verified the protein as PBD114.Importantly,r PBD114 showed antimicrobial activities against E.coli DH5αand E.coli K88,and the minimal inhibitory concentrations(MICs)were 64 and 128μg/m L,respectively.Hemolytic and cytotoxicity assays showed that r PBD114 did not affect cell viability under physiological concentrations.Conclusions:PBD114 is an infection response gene that is differentially-expressed between different porcine breeds and tissues. The antimicrobial activity of PBD114 protein, against pathogens such as the E.coli K88,suggested that it may serve as a candidate for the substitution of conventionally used antibiotics. | Guoqi Su Kunhong Xie Daiwen Chen Bing Yu Zhiqing Huang Yuheng Luo Xiangbing Mao Ping Zheng Jie Yu Junqiu Luo Jun He | 2019 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2019,10,4: | 4
