| 1 | Integrated resources planning in microgrids considering interruptible loads and shiftable loads显示文摘Demand response has the potential to bring significant benefits to the optimal sizing of distributed generation(DG) resources for microgrids planning. This paper presents an integrated resources planning model considering the impact of interruptible loads(ILs) and shiftable loads(SLs) in microgrids, which simultaneouslydeals with supply side and demand side resources and minimizes the overall planning cost of the microgrid. The proposed model can be applied to offer a quantitative assessment how IL and SL can contribute to microgrid planning. The pure peak clipping model with IL and SL is also provided for comparisons. Moreover, sensitivity analysis of parameters in the model is performed.Numerical results confirm that the proposed model is an effective method for reducing the planning cost of microgrids. | 2 | Facile synthesis of ultrathin metal-organic framework nanosheets for Lewis acid catalysis显示文摘Ultrathin metalorganic framework (MOF) nanosheets are attracting great interest in catalysis due to their unique and intriguing two-dime nsional (2D) features. Although many progresses have been achieved, it is still highly desirable to develop novel strategies for controllable synthesis of the well-defined ultrathin MOF nanosheets. Herein we report a polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)-assisted route to synthesize the ultrathin Ni-MOF nanosheets characteristic of 1.5 nm in thickness, in which PVP is reacted with 2-aminoterephthalic acid (H2BDC-NH2) via formation of C=N bon d, followed by coord inatio n with Ni2+ io ns to form the ultrathi n MOF n anosheets. | 3 | First mass measurement of short-lived nuclides at HIRFL-CSR显示文摘Recent commissioning of the HIRFL-CSR has demonstrated its ability to perform direct mass measurement for short-lived nuclides. Projectile fragments produced by the 78Kr ions at 481.88 MeV/u were separated with the new radioactive beam line in Lanzhou (RIBLL2), and injected into and stored in the experimental storage ring (CSRe). By operating the CSRe as an isochronous mass spectrometry, a typical mass resolution around 2.0×10?5 has been achieved. The masses for 63Ge, 65As and 67Se were measured for the first time. The measured masses are compared with theoretical predictions and the location of the proton drip-line for As isotopes is discussed. | 9 | HBB-deficient Macaca fascicularis monkey presents with human β-thalassemia显示文摘Dear Editor,β-Thalassemia is a common severe genetic disease caused by mutations in HBB and affects approximately 1.5% of the global population (Origa, 2017). In southern China, the carrier rate of β-thalassemia is as high as 6.43%, creating a high socio-economic burden (Xiong et al., 2010). In adult humans, there are three types of hemoglobin: HbA1 (~97%), HbA2 (~2%) and HbF (~1%). HbA1 (α2β2) is composed of two a-globin and two β-globi n sub units en coded by HBA and HBB, respectively;HbF (α2β2)is made up of two α-globin subunits and two β-globin sub units en coded by HBG. Mutations in the coding region or regulatory region of HBB are involved in β-thalassemia pathogenesis. Except for some rare dominant mutations, most HBB mutations are recessive (Origa, 2017). Depending on the mutation type, the β-globin level will either be reduced or completely depleted, resulting in α-globin accumulation and precipitation. These α-globin precipitates lead to red blood cell death, resulting in anemia and tissue damage, and even death in thalassemia major patients. Blood transfusions can help slow disease progression but lead to iron overload, ultimately resulting in iron toxicity. Bone marrow transfer is the only cure in the clinic and is available only to a small percentage of patients with human leukocyte antigervmatched donors. Recently, gene therapy and gene editing therapy have shown great promise in curing β-thalassemia (Glaser et al., 2015;Thompson et al., 2018). However, no appropriate animal models are available for evaluating the safety and efficacy of such advanced therapeutic strategies in vivo.β-thalassemia mice are the sole animal model available for research. However, substantial differences have been reported between the types and expressi on patter ns of human and mouse globins (McColl and Vadolas, 2016). Moreover, mice contain no fetal globin gene equivalent, and homozygous mutations of HBB in mouse for early models of β-thalassemia major or Cooley anemia are all embryonic lethal (Huo et al., 2009). Recently, significant phenotype and physiology differences have been reported between SIRT6- null mice and the non-human primate model (Zhang et al., 2018). | 12 | Optical Activity of Chiral Metal Nanoclusters显示文摘CONSPECTUS:The emerging chirality in nanomaterials represents one of the most dynamic areas in modern science.Although many novel chiral nanomaterials have been reported,the origin of their chirality and related optical activity have been not unveiled unambiguously.Thanks to the fast development of noble metal cluster chemistry,the structures of many chiral nanoclusters(CNCs)have been precisely determined and their chirality origin has been decoded as four different levels including chiral ligand,helix staple motif,asymmetry metal kernel,and chiral arrangement of organic ligands.Generally,the strong optical activity associated with the electron transitions of the noble metal core is popularly reported among CNCs protected by chiral ligands,following the so-called“outside-in”chirality transfer theory,namely,from organic ligand to metal core.Exceptionally,inherent chiral structures are discerned inside CNCs consisting of achiral ligands,such as the helix staples found in Au38(SR)24 and Au102(SR)44(SR=thiolate)and the chiral metal kernel existing in Au20(PP3)4Cl4(PP3=tris(2-(diphenylphosphino)ethyl)phosphine).These chiral nanostructures induce distinct optical activity and even present reversed chirality transformation in the case of Au38(SR)24(i.e.,from chiral core structure to organic ligand).In the past decade,our group has carried out extensive research work on preparation,enantioseparation,optical activity,and application of chiral inorganic nanostructures.As representatives,enantiopure right-handed and left-handed Au20(PP3)4Cl4 clusters of intrinsic kernel chirality were acquired through an innovative supramolecular self-assembly method and their circular dichroism(CD)feature involving only the metal core was systematically studied;Au3[R/S-Tol-BINAP]3Cl(R/S-Tol-BINAP:R/S-2,2′-bis(di-p-tolylphosphino)-1,1′-binaphthyl)clusters with the smallest metal-atom number among the reported CNCs were designed and synthesized by using the privileged chiral Tol-BINAP ligand,which exhibited not only strongly enhanced CD signal also remarkable circular polarized luminescence(CPL)response as selfassembled into monodispersed nanocubes.In this Account,we aim at reviewing the fast development of CNCs featuring strong chiral attributes and optical activity.We will briefly introduce the preparation methods of CNCs,such as direct synthesis,ligand exchange,and enantioseparation.In the following parts,the commonly used tools for characterizing the chirality of CNCs are summarized,including CD,vibrational circular dichroism(VCD),CPL,single X-ray diffraction,nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),and theoretical prediction.Then,the optical activity of CNCs will be systematically discussed,especially their CD,VCD,and CPL activity along with their chirality origin.Finally,future strategies for fabricating CNCs possessing strong optical activity as well as potential chirality-related applications will be proposed.We believe that this Account will trigger more research interest to not only study the amazing optical activity of CNCs but also employ them in many fields. | Yanfei Zhu Jun Guo Xueying Qiu Shenlong Zhao Zhiyong Tang | 2021 | Accounts of Materials Research2021,2,1: | 1 |

| 20 | Triterpene-Enriched Olive Extract as an Immunopotentiator in Black Sea Bream(Acanthopagrus schlegelii)显示文摘Recently,the use of natural immunopotentiators,such as plant extracts,is predicted to offer high disease-prevention potential in aquaculture.However,few reports on the immunomodulatory impacts of olive extract(OE)on teleost are available.Therefore,the effects of dietary intake of triterpene-enriched OE on black sea bream(Acanthopagrus schlegelii)were investigated in this study.Our data showed that total blood cell counts,in vivo content of lysozyme,activities of antiprotease and myeloperoxidase,and contents of IL-4 and IL-6 were significantly up-regulated by dietary intake of triterpene-enriched OE.Additionally,the hampered immune response induced by cadmium exposure was significantly mitigated by the administration of OE as were indicated by partially or completely rescued immune-relating parameters.Furthermore,the expressions of immune-related genes encoding NF-κB inhibitor alpha(IkBα),tumor necrosis factorα(TNFα),cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2),and proto-oncogene protein c-fos(FOS)were found to be significantly up-regulated by the dietary intake of OE.In general,the results suggested that the dietary intake of triterpene-enriched OE has immune enhancing effect in black sea bream.Such effect may be realized by 1)increasing the total counts of diverse blood cells;2)activating nonspecific immune biomolecules;and 3)affecting signaling pathways such as IKK and ERK and subsequently inducing IL-4 and IL-6 biosyntheses. | RONG Jiahuan HAN Yu ZHA Shanjie TANG Yu SHI Wei GUAN Xiaofan DU Xueying HE Maolong LIU Guangxu | 2020 | Journal of Ocean University of China2020,19,2: | 1 |
