12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 2A New Species of the Asi an Toad Genus Megophrys sensu lato (Anura: Megophryidae) from Guizhou Province, China显示文摘We describe a new species of the genus Megophr ys from Guizhou Province, China. Molecular phylogenetic analyses based on mitochondrial DNA and nuclear DNA sequences all strongly supported the new species as an independent clade nested into the Megophrys clade and sister to M. minor. 3Polydopamine and ammonium bicarbonate coated and doxorubicin loaded hollow cerium oxide nanoparticles for synergistic tumor therapy显示文摘The development of effective nanoplatforms is extremely necessary for cancer therapy.Herein,we prepared polydopamine(PDA)andammonium bicarbonate(NH4HCO3)coated and doxorubicin(Dox)loaded hollow cerium oxide(CeO2)NPs(PDAC NPs),which showedexcellent synergistic effect for photothermal therapy,chemotherapy and chemodynamic therapy.Under near infrared laser irradiation,PDA shell could absorb the incident light and convert it into heat,which could not only kill tumor cells with hyperthermia,but also trigger thedecomposition of NH4HCO3 into gaseous carbon dioxide and ammonia,leading to the destroy of PDA shell.The leakage of PDA furtheraccelerated Dox release and exposed CeO2 surface,in which Dox could enter into cell nucleus to induce chemotherapy,and CeO2 couldcatalyze cellular hydrogen peroxide into hydroxyl radical to present chemodynamic therapy.In fact,PDAC NPs showed an excellenttherapeutic efficacy both in vitro and in vivo.This design provides a new strategy for synergistic tumor therapy.Keqiang Xu Yan Cheng Jiao Yan Yanlin Feng Runxiao Zheng Xiaqhig Wu Yanjing Wang Panpan Song Haiyuan Zhang 2019Nano Research2019,12,12:4
4Substantial transition to clean household energy mix in rural China显示文摘The household energy mix has significant impacts on human health and climate,as it contributes greatly to many health-and climate-relevant air pollutants.Compared to the well-established urban energy statistical system,the rural household energy statistical system is incomplete and is often associated with high biases.Via a nationwide investigation,this study revealed high contributions to energy supply from coal and biomass fuels in the rural household energy sector,while electricity comprised∼20%.Stacking(the use of multiple sources of energy)is significant,and the average number of energy types was 2.8 per household.Compared to 2012,the consumption of biomass and coals in 2017 decreased by 45%and 12%,respectively,while the gas consumption amount increased by 204%.Increased gas and decreased coal consumptions were mainly in cooking,while decreased biomass was in both cooking(41%)and heating(59%).The time-sharing fraction of electricity and gases(E&G)for daily cooking grew,reaching 69%in 2017,but for space heating,traditional solid fuels were still dominant,with the national average shared fraction of E&G being only 20%.The non-uniform spatial distribution and the non-linear increase in the fraction of E&G indicated challenges to achieving universal access to modern cooking energy by 2030,particularly in less-developed rural and mountainous areas.In some non-typical heating zones,the increased share of E&G for heating was significant and largely driven by income growth,but in typical heating zones,the time-sharing fraction was<5%and was not significantly increased,except in areas with policy intervention.The intervention policy not only led to dramatic increases in the clean energy fraction for heating but also accelerated the clean cooking transition.Higher income,higher education,younger age,less energy/stove stacking and smaller family size positively impacted the clean energy transition.Guofeng Shen Rui Xiong Yanlin Tian Zhihan Luo Bahabaike Jiangtulu Wenjun Meng Wei Du Jing Meng Yuanchen Chen Bing Xue Bin Wang Yonghong Duan Jia Duo Fenggui Fan Lei Huang Tianzhen Ju Fenggui Liu Shunxin Li Xianli Liu Yungui Li Mu Wang Ying Nan Bo Pan Yanfang Pan Lizhi Wang Eddy Zeng Chao Zhan Yilin Chen Huizhong Shen Hefa Cheng Shu Tao 2022National Science Review2022,9,7:4
5A Robust Zero-Watermarking Based on SIFT-DCT for Medical Images in the Encrypted Domain显示文摘Remote medical diagnosis can be realized by using the Internet,but when transmitting medical images of patients through the Internet,personal information of patients may be leaked.Aim at the security of medical information system and the protection of medical images,a novel robust zero-watermarking based on SIFT-DCT(Scale Invariant Feature Transform-Discrete Cosine Transform)for medical images in the encrypted domain is proposed.Firstly,the original medical image is encrypted in transform domain based on Logistic chaotic sequence to enhance the concealment of original medical images.Then,the SIFT-DCT is used to extract the feature sequences of encrypted medical images.Next,zero-watermarking technology is used to ensure that the region of interest of medical images are not changed.Finally,the robust of the algorithm is evaluated by the correlation coefficient between the original watermark and the attacked watermark.A series of attack experiments are carried out on this method,and the results show that the algorithm is not only secure,but also robust to both traditional and geometric attacks,especially in clipping attacks.Jialing Liu Jingbing Li Yenwei Chen Xiangxi Zou Jieren Cheng Yanlin Liu Uzair Aslam Bhatti 2019Computers, Materials & Continua2019,,7:3
6Geological controls of shale gas accumulation and enrichment mechanism in Lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation of western Hubei, Middle Yangtze, China显示文摘The lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation is of crucial importance for shale gas target reservoirs in western Hubei,China;however,little work has been done in this field,and its shale gas accumulation and enrichment mechanism are still unclear.Based on survey wells,outcrop data,and large numbers of tests,the geological conditions of shale gas accumulation were studied;moreover,the factors that influence the gas content were thoroughly discussed.The results show that the Niutitang Formation(Є1n)can be divided into three sections:the first section(Є_(1)n^(1)),the second section(Є_(1)n^(2)),and the third section(Є1n3).TheЄ_(1)n^(2) is the main shale gas reservoir.The deep shelf facies is the main sedimentary facies and can be divided into three main lithofacies:argillaceous siltstone,carbonaceous shale and carbonaceous siliceous rock.The total organic carbon(TOC)content shows gentle growth trends until bottom of theЄ_(1)n^(2) and then decreases rapidly within theЄ_(1)n^(1),and the TOC content mainly ranges from 2%to 4%horizontally.The calcite and dolomite dissolution pores,clay intergranular pores and organic pores are the main pore types and the micropore types are clearly related to the mineral compositions and the TOC content.Vertically,the gas content is mainly affected by the TOC content.Horizontally,wells with high gas contents are distributed only southeast of the Huangling anticline,and the combination of structural styles,fault and fracture development,and the distribution of the regional unconformity boundary between the upper Sinian Dengying Formation(Z2d)and theЄ_(1)n^(2) are the three most important factors affecting the gas content.The favorable areas must meet the following conditions:a deep shelf environment,the presence of theЄ_(1)n^(1),wide and gentle folds,far from large normal faults that are more than 5 km,moderate thermal evolution,and greater than 500 m burial depth;this includes the block with the YD2–ZD2 wells,and the block with the Y1 and YD4 wells,which are distributed in the southern portion of the Huangling anticline and northern portion of the Xiannvshan fault.Lulu XU Saipeng HUANG Zaoxue LIU Yaru WEN Xianghui ZHOU Yanlin ZHANG Xiongwei LI Deng WANG Fan LUO Cheng CHEN 2021Frontiers of Earth Science2021,15,2:3

8Small molecule SMU-CX24 targeting toll-like receptor 3 counteracts inflammation:A novel approach to atherosclerosis therapy显示文摘Toll-like receptor 3(TLR3),as an important pattern recognition receptor(PRR),dominates the innate and adaptive immunity regulating many acute and chronic inflammatory diseases.Atherosclerosis is proved as an inflammatory disease,and inflammatory events involved in the entire process of initiation and deterioration.However,the contribution of TLR3 to atherosclerosis remains unclear.Herein,we identified the clinical relevance of TLR3 upregulation and disease processes in human atherosclerosis.Besides,activation of TLR3 also directly led to significant expression of atherogenic chemokines and adhesion molecules.Conversely,silencing TLR3 inhibited the uptake of oxLDL by macrophages and significantly reduced foam cell formation.Given the aberrance in TLR3 functions on atherosclerosis progression,we hypothesized that TLR3 could serve as novel target for clinical atherosclerosis therapy.Therefore,we developed the novel ellipticine derivative SMU-CX24,which specifically inhibited TLR3(IC_(50)=18.87±2.21 nmol/L).In vivo,atherosclerotic burden was alleviated in Western diet fed ApoE^(−/−)mice in response to SMU-CX24 treatment,accompanying notable reductions in TLR3 expression and inflammation infiltration within atherosclerotic lesion.Thus,for the first time,we revealed that pharmacological downregulation of TLR3 with specific inhibitor regenerated inflammatory environment to counteract atherosclerosis progression,thereby proposing a new strategy and probe for atherosclerosis therapy.Xiaohong Cen Baoqu Wang Yuqing Liang Yanlin Chen Yu Xiao Shaohua Du Kutty Selva Nandakumar Hang Yin Shuwen Liu Kui Cheng 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,9:2

12The molecular conformation of silk fibroin regulates osteogenic cell behavior by modulating the stability of the adsorbed protein-material interface显示文摘Silk fibroin(SF)can be used to construct various stiff material interfaces to support bone formation.An essential preparatory step is to partially transform SF molecules from random coils toβ-sheets to render the material water insoluble.However,the influence of the SF conformation on osteogenic cell behavior at the material interface remains unknown.Herein,three stiff SF substrates were prepared by varying theβ-sheet content(high,medium,and low).The substrates had a comparable chemical composition,surface topography,and wettability.When adsorbed fibronectin was used as a model cellular adhesive protein,the stability of the adsorbed protein-material interface,in terms of the surface stability of the SF substrates and the accompanying fibronectin detachment resistance,increased with the increasingβ-sheet content of the SF substrates.Furthermore,(i)larger areas of cytoskeleton-associated focal adhesions,(ii)higher orders of cytoskeletal organization and(iii)more elongated cell spreading were observed for bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cells(BMSCs)cultured on SF substrates with high vs.lowβ-sheet contents,along with enhanced nuclear translocation and activation of YAP/TAZ and RUNX2.Consequently,osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs was stimulated on highβ-sheet substrates.These results indicated that theβ-sheet content influences osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs on SF materials in vitro by modulating the stability of the adsorbed protein-material interface,which proceeds via protein-focal adhesion-cytoskeleton links and subsequent intracellular mechanotransduction.Our findings emphasize the role of the stability of the adsorbed protein-material interface in cellular mechanotransduction and the perception of stiff SF substrates with differentβ-sheet contents,which should not be overlooked when engineering stiff biomaterials.Yanlin Long Xian Cheng John A.Jansen Sander G.C.Leeuwenburgh Jing Mao Fang Yang Lili Chen 2021Bone Research2021,9,2:1

17Characteristics of compensatory mutations in the rpoC gene and their association with compensated transmission of Mycobacterium tuberculosis显示文摘The aim of this study was to characterize rpoC gene mutations in Mycobacterium tuberculosis(MTB)and investigate the factors associated with rpoC mutations and the relation between rpoC mutations and tuberculosis(TB)transmission.A total of 245 MTB clinical isolates from patients with TB in six provinces and two municipalities in China were characterized based on gene mutations through DNA sequencing of rpoC and rpoB genes,phenotyping via standard drug susceptibility testing,and genotypic profiling by mycobacterial interspersed repetitive unit-variable number tandem repeat(MIRU-VNTR)typing.Approximately 36.4%of the rifampinresistant isolates harbored nonsynonymous mutations in the rpoC gene.Twenty-nine nonsynonymous single mutations and three double mutations were identified.The rpoC mutations at locus 483(11.3%)were predominant,and the mutations at V483G,W484G,I491V,L516P,L566R,N698K,and A788E accounted for 54.5%of the total detected mutations.Fifteen new mutations in the rpoC gene were identified.Rifampin resistance and rpoB mutations at locus 531 were significantly associated with rpoC mutations.MIRU-VNTR genotype results indicated that 18.4%of the studied isolates were clustered,and the rpoC mutations were not significantly associated with MIRU-VNTR clusters.A large proportion of rpoC mutation was observed in the rifampicin-resistant MTB isolates.However,the findings of this study do not support the association of rpoC mutation with compensated transmissibility.Shengfen Wang Yang Zhou Bing Zhao Xichao Ou Hui Xia Yang Zheng Yuanyuan Song Qian Cheng Xinyang Wang Yanlin Zhao 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,1:0
