4Diffusion-tensor imaging as an adjunct to dynamic contrastenhanced MRI for improved accuracy of differential diagnosis between breast ductal carcinoma in situ and invasive breast carcinoma显示文摘Objective:To determine the value of diffusion-tensor imaging(DTI) as an adjunct to dynamic contrastenhanced magnetic resonance imaging(DCE-MRI) for improved accuracy of differential diagnosis between breast ductal carcinoma in situ(DCIS) and invasive breast carcinoma(IBC).Methods:The MRI data of 63 patients pathologically confirmed as breast cancer were analyzed.The conventional MRI analysis metrics included enhancement style,initial enhancement characteristic,maximum slope of increase,time to peak,time signal intensity curve(TIC) pattern,and signal intensity on FST2 WI.The values of apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC),directionally-averaged mean diffusivity(D_(avg)),exponential attenuation(EA),fractional anisotropy(FA),volume ratio(VR) and relative anisotropy(RA)were calculated and compared between DCIS and IBC.Multivariate logistic regression was used to identify independent factors for distinguishing IBC and DCIS.The diagnostic performance of the diagnosis equation was evaluated using the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve.The diagnostic efficacies of DCEMRI,DWI and DTI were compared independendy or combined.Results:EA value,lesion enhancement style and TIC pattern were identified as independent factor for differential diagnosis of IBC and DCIS.The combination diagnosis showed higher diagnostic efficacy than a single use of DCE-MRI(P=0.02),and the area of the curve was improved from 0.84(95%CI,0.67-0.99) to0.94(95%CI,0.85-1.00).Conclusions:Quantitative DTI measurement as an adjunct to DCE-MRI could improve the diagnostic performance of differential diagnosis between DCIS and IBC compared to a single use of DCE-MRI.Yuan Wang Xiaopeng Zhang Kun Cao Yanling Li Xiaoting Li Liping Qi Lei Tang Zhilong Wang Shunyu Gao 2015Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,2:12
5Construction of a genetic map and location of quantitative trait loci for dwarf trait in maize by RFLP markers显示文摘Using F2 population derived from the cross of tall inbred 7922 by dwarf inbred 5003, an RFLP linkage map of maize has been constructed, on which 85 markers are distributed among 10 linkage groups and span maize genome about 1827.8 cM with an average distance (24.4 cM) between markers. 106 F2:3 lines of the population were grown in a 10×11 simple rectangular lattice design of one-raw plots with two replications and evaluated for plant height (PH). With interval mapping procedure, 5 QTLs controlling plant height have been identified and their genetic effects and gene action determined. 2 major OTLs with opposite effect have been discovered. One for increasing plant height is ph 1 which is located at chromosome 2 and accounts for 51.8% of the total phenotypic variation; the other for decreasing plant height is ph3 which is located at chromosome 5 and accounts for 38.6% of the total phenotypic variation. 6Identification of the lower limit of high-quality source rocks and its relation to hydrocarbon accumulation——Taking the Beier Sag in the Hailaer Basin as an example显示文摘The theory of 'source rock control' has evolved from source-rock-control hydrocarbon accumulation, to effective source-rock-control hydrocarbon accumulation, and to high-quality source-rock-control hydrocarbon accumulation. However, there are problems, such as whether high-quality source rocks exist or not? What high-quality source rocks are, and how to identify them, are yet to be agreed upon. Aimed at this issue of concern to explorationists, and taking the Beier Sag in the Hailaer Basin as an example, this paper defines the high-quality source rocks and the lower limit for evaluation of high-quality source rocks, by using the inflection point on the relationship curve of hydrocarbon (oil) expulsion, which is calculated by the material balance principle, versus total organic carbon (TOC). The results show that when TOC is low, all source rocks have limited hydrocarbon expulsion and slow growth rate, thus they cannot be high-quality source rocks. However, when TOC rises to some threshold, hydrocarbon expulsion increases significantly with TOC. This inflection point should be the lower limit of high-quality source rocks: those with TOC greater than the inflection-point value are high-quality source rocks. In addition, the lower limit of high-quality source rocks is also related to the type and maturity of organic matters in the source rocks, as well as the mineral components of the source rocks affecting the residual hydrocarbons. Theoretically, the lower limit of high-quality source rocks depends on geological conditions rather than being a constant value. However, for the sake of simplicity and practicability, in this paper TOC=2.0% is regarded as the lower limit of high-quality source rocks. The examination of such standard in the work area indicates that the high-quality source rocks in members K 1 n 2 and K 1 n 1 of the Nantun formation contribute 76% and 82% to oil generation, and 96% and 91% to oil expulsion , respectively. 7One century sedimentary record of lead and zinc pollution in Yangzong Lake, a highland lake in southwestern China显示文摘Reconstruction of trace metal pollution histories and sources may help us to regulate current pollutant discharge. This is especially important for the highland lakes in southwestern China, which are facing trace metals pollution. We present sedimentary records of 11 metals accumulated in Yangzong Lake since the 1870's, a highland lake in southwestern China. Pollution of lead and zinc (Pb and Zn) was differentiated based on principal component analysis, geochemical normalization, and lead isotope ratios. Nearly all the metals as well as grain size composition show generally constant values before the mid-1980's, denoting stable detrital input in the catchment. Fluctuations in the concentrations of the metals as well as grain size composition since the mid-1980's indicate an increase in soil erosion with strengthened human disturbance in the catchment. After geochemical normalization, Pb and Zn showed constant values before 1990 AD and then a gradual increase in parallel with the variations in 208Pb/206Pb and 207Pb/206Pb ratios, indicating that Pb and Zn pollution occurred. Combining the data of 208Pb/206Pb and 207Pb/206Pb ratios in the sediments of Yangzong Lake, leaded gasoline, Pb-Zn ore and coal, and consumption or production historical trends, we deduced that the enhanced Pb and Zn pollution in Yangzong Lake is caused primarily by ore mining and refining.Enlou Zhang Enfeng Liu Ji Shen Yanmin Cao Yanling Li 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,7:7

9Facile preparation of N-doped corncob-derived carbon nanofiber efficiently encapsulating Fe2O3 nanocrystals towards high ORR electrocatalytic activity显示文摘Facile preparation of cost-effective and durable porous carbon-supported non-precious-metal/nitrogen electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)is extremely important for promoting the commercialized applications of such catalysts.In this work,the FeCl3-containing porphyrinato iron-based covalent porous polymer(FeCl3·FeP or-CPP)was fabricated in-situ onto porous corncob biomass supports via a simple one-pot method.Subsequent thermal-reduction pyrolysis at 700℃-900℃with CO2 gas as an activating agent resulted in Fe2O3-decorated and N-doped graphitic carbon composite Fe2O3@NC&bio-C with a high degree of graphitization of Fe-involved promotion during pyrolysis(Fe2O3=FeCl3·FePor-CPP derived Fe2O3;NC=N-doped graphene analog;bio-C=the corncob-derived hierarchically porous graphitic biomass carbon framework).The derivedα-Fe2O3 andγ-Fe2O3 nanocrystals(5-10 nm particle diameter)were all immobilized on the N-doped bio-C micro/nanofibers.Notably,the Fe2O3@NC&bio-C obtained at the pyrolysis temperature of 800℃(Fe2O3@NC&bio-C-800),exhibited unusual ORR catalytic efficiency via a 4-electron pathway with the onset and half-wave potentials of 0.96 V and 0.85 V vs.RHE,respectively.In addition,Fe2O3@NC&bio-C-800 also exhibited a high and stable limiting current density of-6.0 mA cm-2,remarkably stability(larger than 91%retention after 10000 s),and good methanol tolerance.The present work represents one of the best results for iron-based biomass material ORR catalysts reported to date.The high ORR activity is attributed to the uniformly distributedα-Fe2O3 andγ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles on the N-enriched carbon matrix with a large specific surface area of 772.6 m^2 g^-1.This facilitates favor faster electron movement and better adsorption of oxygen molecules on the surface of the catalyst.Nevertheless,comparative studies on the structure and ORR catalytic activity of Fe2O3@NC&bioC-800 with Fe2O3@bio-C-800 and NC&bio-C-800 clearly highlight the synergistic effect of the coexisting Fe2O3 nanocrystals,NC,and bio-C on the ORR performance.Wei Yan Yanling Wu Yanli Chen Qi Liu Kang Wang Ning Cao Fangna Dai Xiyou Li Jianzhuang Jiang 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,5:3
10Immune Responses in Wild-type Mice Against Prion Proteins Induced Using a DNA Prime-Protein Boost Strategy显示文摘Objective To break immune tolerance to prion (PrP) proteins using DNA vaccines.Methods Four different human prion DNA vaccine candidates were constructed based on the pcDNA3.1 vector:PrP‐WT expressing wild‐type PrP,Ubiq‐PrP expressing PrP fused to ubiquitin,PrP‐LII expressing PrP fused to the lysosomal integral membrane protein type II lysosome‐targeting signal,and PrP‐ER expressing PrP locating the ER.Using a prime‐boost strategy,three‐doses of DNA vaccine were injected intramuscularly into Balb/c mice,followed by two doses of PrP protein.Two weeks after the last immunization,sera and spleens were collected and PrP‐specific humoral and cellular immune responses evaluated by ELISA and ELISPOT tests.Results Higher levels of serum PrP antibodies were detected in mice vaccinated using the strategy of DNA priming followed by protein boosting.Of these,WT‐PrP,Ubiq‐PrP,and PrP‐LII induced significantly higher humoral responses.ELISPOT tests showed markedly increased numbers of IFN‐γ‐secreting T cells in mice vaccinated using the strategy of DNA priming followed by protein boosting after stimulation with recombinant PrP23‐90 and PrP23‐231.PrP‐ER inducedthe strongest T‐cell response.Conclusion Prion vaccines can break tolerance to PrP proteins and induce PrP‐specific humoral and cellular immune responses.HAN YanLing LI Yuan SONG Juan WANG Ying SHI Qi CHEN Cao ZHANG BaoYun GUO Yan LI ChaoPing HAN Jun DONG XiaoPing 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,5:2

13The Study on the Anti-corrosion Performance of NiTi Alloy in Human Body Solution with the Fabricating Processes of Laser Irradiation and PDMS Modification显示文摘This paper presents a new and safe method of fabricating super-hydrophobic surface on NiTi Shape Memory Alloy(SMA),which aims to further improve the corrosion resistance performance and biocompatibility of NiTi SMA.The super-hydrophobic surfaces with Water Contact Angle(WCA)of 155.4°±0.9°and Water Sliding Angle(WSA)of 4.4°±1.1°were obtained by the hybrid of laser irradiation and polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)modification.The forming mechanism was systematically revealed via Scanming Electron Microscopy(SEM)and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy(XPS).The ant-corrosion of samples was investigated in Simulated Body Fluid(SBF)via the potentiodynamie polarization(PDP)and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy(EIS)tests.PDMS super-hydrophobic coatings showed superior anti-corrosion performance.The Ni ions release experiment was also conducted and the corresponding result demonstrated that the super-hydrophobic samplcs effectively inhibited the rclease of Ni ions both in clctrolyte and SBF Besides,biocompaibility was further analyzed,indicating that the prepared super-hydrophobic surfaces present a huge potential advantage in biocompatibility.Chengjuan Yang weiran Cao Zhen Yang Meng Wang Xiubing Jing Yanling Tian 2021Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,1:2

15Recovery of fertility in quinestrol-treated or diethylstilbestroltreated mice:Implications for rodent management显示文摘Fertility control is an alternative strategy to traditional culling for the management of rodent pests.Previous studies have demonstrated that quinestrol is a potential contraceptive for male rodents,but the recovery of fertility in quinestrol-treated rodents has not been evaluated.This study used C57BL/6J mice to evaluate the recovery rate of male fertility after the administration of quinestrol.Diethylstilbestrol(DES),a non-steroid estrogenic compound,was used for comparison.Different groups of mice were treated with 1 mg/kg quinestrol,1 mg/kg DES,or castor oil separately for 7 days.These mice were then killed on days 8,22 and 50 respectively.Our results indicated that the weight of epididymides and seminal vesicles decreased significantly on days 8 and 22 in quinestrol/DES-treated mice,with extensive histological changes in the seminiferous tubules.Sperm concentrations in the cauda epididymal fluid were significantly reduced on days 8 and 22 in both quinestrol and DES treatment groups and on day 50 for the DES,but not the quinestrol group.Further analysis revealed that DES-treated mice exhibited a higher proportion of abnormal sperm accumulation in the epididymis,indicating that the normal sperm transportation to the cauda epididymis was blocked.Our results indicate that the anti-fertility effects on male mice given quinestrol were of shorter duration than for those receiving DES at the dose of 1 mg/kg body weight.Ming LIU Rongcan LUO Hao WANG Guangming CAO Yanling WANG 2017Integrative Zoology2017,12,3:1
16Effect of Palrnatine on lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury by inhibiting activation of the Akt/NF-κB pathway显示文摘Inflammation plays an important role in the development of acute lung injury(ALI).Severe pulmonary inflammation can cause acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)or even death.Expression of proinflammatory interleukin-1β(IL-1β)and inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS)in the process of pulmonary inflammation will further exacerbate the severity of ALI.The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of Palrnatine(Pa)on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced mouse ALI and its underlying mechanism.Pa,a natural product,has a wide range of pharmacological activities with the potential to protect against lung injury.Western blotting and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)assays were performed to detect the expression and translation of inflammatory genes and proteins in vitro and in vivo.Immunoprecipitation was used to detect the degree of P65 translocation into the nucleus.We also used molecular modeling to further clarify the mechanism of action.The results showed that Pa pretreatment could significantly inhibit the expression and secretion of the inflammatory cytokine IL-1β,and significantly reduce the protein level of the proinflammatory protease iNOS,in both in vivo and in vitro models induced by LPS.Further mechanism studies showed that Pa could significantly inhibit the activation of the protein kinase B(Akt)/nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)signaling pathway in the LPS-induced ALI mode and in LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells.Through molecular dynamics simulation,we observed that Pa was bound to the catalytic pocket of Akt and effectively inhibited the biological activity of Akt.These results indicated that Pa significantly relieves LPS-induced ALI by activating the Akt/NF-κB signaling pathway.Xingchi KAN Yingsheng CHEN Bingxu HUANG Shoupeng FU Wenjin GUO Xin RAN Yu CAO Dianwen XU Ji CHENG Zhanqing YANG Yanling XU 2021Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,11:1

19Preparation of ABA triblock copolymer assemblies through “one-pot” RAFT PISA显示文摘Poly(N,N-dimethyl acrylamide)-block-poly(styrene)-block-poly(N,N-dimethyl acrylamide)(PDMAc-bPSt-b-PDMAc)amphiphilic triblock copolymer micro/nano-objects were synthesized through reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer(RAFT)dispersion polymerization of St mediated with poly(N,Ndimethyl acrylamide)trithiocarbonate(PDMAc-TTC-PDMAc)bi-functional macromolecular RAFT agent.It is found that the morphology of the PDMAc-b-PSt-b-PDMAc copolymer micro/nano-objects like spheres,vesicles and vesicle with hexagonally packed hollow hoops(HHHs)wall can be tuned by changing the solvent composition.In addition,vesicles with two sizes(600 nm,264 nm)and vesicles with HHHs features were also synthesized in high solid content systems(30 wt%and 40 wt%,respectively).Besides,as compared with typical AB diblock copolymers(A is the solvophilic,stabilizer block,and B is the solvophobic block),ABA triblock copolymers tend to form higher order morphologies,such as vesicles,under similar conditions.The finding of this study provides a new and robust approach to prepare block copolymer vesicles and other higher order micelles with special structure via PISA.Yanling Cao Yan Shi Xiaohui Wu Liqun Zhang 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,6:1
20Temporal-spatial oceanic variation in relation with the three typical Kuroshio paths south of Japan显示文摘Empirical orthogonal function(EOF)analysis was applied to a 50-year long time series of monthly mean positions of the Kuroshio path south of Japan from a regional reanalysis.Three leading EOF modes characterize the contributions from three typical paths of the Kuroshio meander:the typical large meander path,the offshore nonlarge meander path,and the nearshore non-large meander path,respectively.Accordingly,the spatial variation characteristics of oceanic anomaly fields can be depicted by their regression fields upon the associated three leading principal components(PCs),which are well-matched with the results of composite analysis corresponding to each period of the three typical Kuroshio paths.A new index for the typical large meander is defined by using the second leading PC,which is highly correlated with the Kushimoto-Uragami index.Spectral analysis of this new index series shows variability of the Kuroshio path south of Japan at time scales of about 7–8 years and 20 years.Xiaobo Wu Yanling Zhao Guijun Han Wei Li Qi Shao Lige Cao Chaoliang Li 2022Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,2:1
