| 1 | Progress and perspectives of quantitative structure-activity relationships used for ecological risk assessment of toxic organic compounds显示文摘Structure-activity relationship (SAR) and quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR), collec- tively referred to as (Q)SARs, play an important role in ecological risk assessment (ERA) of organic chemicals. (Q)SARs can fill the data gap for physical-chemical, environmental behavioral and ecotoxicological parameters of organic compounds; they can decrease experimental expenses and reduce the extent of experimental testing (especially animal testing); they can also be used to assess the uncertainty of the experimental data. With the development for several decades, (Q)SARs in envi- ronmental sciences show three features: application orientation, multidisciplinary integration, and in- telligence. Progress of (Q)SAR technology for ERA of toxic organic compounds, including endpoint selection and mathematic methods for establishing simple, transparent, easily interpretable and portable (Q)SAR models, is reviewed. The recent development on defining application domains and diagnosing outliers is summarized. Model characterization with respect to goodness-of-fit, stability and predictive power is specially presented. | 2 | The possible contribution of a mantle-derived fluid to the Ningwu porphyry iron deposits—Evidence from carbon and strontium isotopes of apatites显示文摘Apatite is a characteristic mineral for the iron deposits in the Ningwu region. Apatite shows a range of d13CPDB values from à9.6& to à0.6&,and most of them with the d13CPDB values distributed in a range of mantle carbon (i.e.,à2& to à9&),except for samples T-06-1 and J-06-3. | 4 | Rational design for fungal laccase production in the model host Aspergillus nidulans显示文摘Laccases, multicopper oxidoreductases, are mainly produced in white-rot fungi and are considered as ideal green catalysts in industrial and biotechnological applications. However, the development of laccases is limited due to the slow growth of natural laccase producing strains and the low expression levels of laccases. In this study, we designed three regulation strategies for laccase gene expression in the model fungus Aspergillus nidulans. By introducing various promoters in front of the laccase gene pslcc from the white-rot fungus Pycnoporus sanguineus, we found that the laccase gene with the original promoter had effective expression in A. nidulans. Using the previously identified transcription factor RsmA regulatory mechanism, the aflR promoter was inserted into the pslcc expression vectors, and the laccase production was 15-fold higher in the strain overexpressing of RsmA compared to the control strain. To improve the laccase yield, the dipeptidyl-peptidase DppV, aspartic protease PepA and mannosyltransferase Mnn9 were successfully deleted in the A. nidulans host. | 6 | Three-dimensional temperature reconstruction of diffusion flame from the light-field convolution imaging by the focused plenoptic camera显示文摘The plenoptic imaging technique provides a promising approach to the non-invasive three-dimensional measurement, especially for the high-temperature combustion diagnosis. We establish a light-field convolution imaging model for diffusion flame in this work, considering the radiation transfer process inside the diffusion flame and the light transfer process inside the focused plenoptic camera together. The radiation transfer process is described by the radiation transfer equation and solved by the generalized source multi-flux method. Wave optics theory is adopted to describe the light transfer process, combining Fresnel diffraction and the phase conversion of the lens. The flame light-field image is obtained by the light-field convolution imaging model and adopted as the measurement signal to reconstruct three-dimensional temperature field. The inverse problem of temperature reconstruction is solved by the least square QR decomposition method. The simulative temperature reconstruction work is conducted, including the inverse analysis, the uncertainty analysis, and the measurement noise influence. All the results show that the proposed measurement method is available to reconstruct three-dimensional temperature with satisfactory accuracy and acceptable uncertainty. | 9 | Oxidation reactivity of 1,2-bis(2,4,6-tribromophenoxy)ethane(BTBPE)by CompoundⅠmodel of cytochrome P450s显示文摘Alternative brominated flame retardants(BFRs) have become prevalent as a consequence of restrictions on the use of polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs). For risk assessment of these alternatives, knowledge of their metabolism via cytochrome P450 enzymes is needed.We have previously proved that density functional theory(DFT) is able to predict the metabolism of PBDEs by revealing the molecular mechanisms. In the current study, the reactivity of 1,2-bis(2,4,6-tribromophenoxy)ethane and structurally similar chemicals with the Compound I model representing the active site of P450 enzymes was investigated. The DFT calculations delineated reaction pathways which lead to reasonable explanations for products that were detected by wet experiments, meanwhile intermediates which cannot be determined were also proposed. Results showed that alkyl hydrogen abstraction will lead to bis(2,4,6-tribromophenoxy)ethanol, which may undergo hydrolysis yielding2,4,6-tribromophenol, a neurotoxic compound. In addition, a general pattern of oxidation reactivity regarding the 2,4,6-tribromophenyl moiety was observed among several model compounds.
