| 1 | Analysis of status and countermeasures of cancer incidence and mortality in China显示文摘Cancer is the leading cause of human deaths in the world and produces serious economic burdens. On September 12, 2018, the academic journal A Cancer Journal for Clinicians published an article about the latest statistics of cancers worldwide, which provided a status report on the global burden of 36 cancers in 185 countries worldwide. Cancer has also become a serious public health problem in China and caused more and more attention of the government and people in recent years. | 2 | Sequencing of Cultivated Peanut, Arachis hypogaea, Yields Insights into Genome Evolution and Oil Improvement显示文摘Cultivated peanut (Arachis hypogaea) is an allotetraploid crop planted in Asia, Africa, and America for edible oil and protein. To explore the origins and consequences of tetraploidy, we sequenced the allotetraploid A. hypogaea genome and compared it with the related diploid Arachis duranensis and Arachis ipaensis genomes. We annotated 39 888 A-subgenome genes and 41 526 B-subgenome genes in allotetraploid peanut. The A. hypogaea subgenomes have evolved asymmetrically, with the B subgenome resembling the ancestral state and the A subgenome undergoing more gene disruption, loss, conversion, and transposable element proliferation, and having reduced gene expression during seed development despite lacking genome-wide expression dominance. Genomic and transcriptomic analyses identified more than 2 500 oil metabolism-related genes and revealed that most of them show altered expression early in seed development while their expression ceases during desiccation, presenting a comprehensive map of peanut lipid biosynthesis. | 4 | Chemical Composition of Special Glutinous Rice and Its Effect on the Quality of Brewed Wine显示文摘The chemical composition of 8 different special glutinous rice varieties was analyzed,and its effects on the physical and chemical properties of the wines brewed were investigated. The correlations between major chemical constituents and quality of glutinous rice were analyzed. The results show that the contents of the major chemical constituents in the special glutinous rice varieties were not much different,and they all ranked as starch’s > protein’s > fat’s. After 4-8 weeks of fermentation,the total acidity decreased with time( excepting Heixiangnuo),the total residual sugar reduced significantly,and the alcohol content increased significantly. The correlations between starch content of glutinous rice and physical and chemical indices and sensory quality of its brewed wine were not significant. There are positive correlations between protein content and various indices,and the correlation with total acidity reached the significant level. | 5 | Effects of Different Herbicides on Maize Growth and Weed Control in Maize Fields显示文摘Effects of four herbicides(paraquat, acetochlor, nicosulfuron and atrazine) on the growth of maize and control effect of plant quantity and fresh weight of weeds were studied. The results showed that 15 days after spraying the herbicides on weeds,the prevention and control effect of paraquat on weeds was the optimum, and its effects on the plant quantity and fresh weight of weeds were above 81.57%; the prevention and control effect of acetochlor on weeds was the second best; the prevention and control effect of atrazine on weeds was the worst, and its effects on the plant quantity and fresh weight of weeds were only 51.04% and 37.86%. After 30 or 45 days, the prevention and control effect of atrazine and nicosulfuron on weeds in the maize fields was better than the other herbicides, and their effects on the plant quantity and fresh weight of weeds were higher than 70.00% and 85.00%. Acetochlor and paraquat had certain phytotoxicity to the growth of maize after about 15 days, and its leaves became yellow and grew slowly. | 7 | Screening and Analysis of Cadmium-tolerant Rice Variety Resources显示文摘In order to find out the difference in cadmium tolerance of different rice varieties in central Hunan,26 varieties of conventional rice,two-line hybrid rice and three-line hybrid rice were used as materials. The effects of cadmium stress( 0. 5 mmol/L) on germination percentage,germination index,vigor index,root length,bud length and fresh weight of root buds of rice seeds were studied by indoor bioassay.The results showed that cadmium stress had little effect on seed germination rate and germination index of different rice varieties,but had obvious effect on vigor index,root and bud growth,and the inhibitory effect of cadmium stress on root was significantly greater than that on bud.There were some differences in the mean values of six indexes among different types of rice varieties,but the differences were not significant.The tolerance responses of 26 varieties to cadmium stress were quite different. According to the cluster analysis of comprehensive effects of stress,they could be divided into three types: sensitive type,intermediate type and tolerant type. | 8 | Study on Cadmium Tolerance Differences of Seed Germination and Seedlings in Different Varieties of Maize显示文摘To ascertain the genotypic difference of cadmium tolerance of different varieties of maize, effects of cadmium stress on the germination rate, germination index, vigor index, root length and fresh weight, and shoot length and fresh weight of seeds of 12 main varieties of maize widely cultivated in central Hunan were studied. The results showed that the cadmium stress had small impact on the germination rate and germination index of maize seeds, but it had obvious effects on the vigor index, root and shoot growth of maize seeds, and the inhibition effects on the roots were more obvious than the shoots. | 9 | Effects of Antimony Stress on Root Growth,Antimony Accumulation and Physiological Characteristics of Ramie(Boehmeria nivea(L.) Gaudich.)显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to investigate the toxicity of heavy metal antimony(Sb) to ramie(Boehmeria nivea(L.) Gaudich.) and the tolerance response in ramie. [Methods] A pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of Sb stress on root growth and Sb accumulation and transport of the root system of cultivated ramie Zhongzhu No.1, as well as on the physiological characteristics of ramie leaves. [Results] The plant height and root dry weight and volume of Zhongzhu No.1 showed an effect of 'promoting at low concentrations and inhibiting at high concentrations' with the increase of Sb concentration, and decreased significantly at the concentration of 4 000 mg/kg, but no obvious toxic growth symptoms were observed. The content of Sb in roots(289.7-508.6 mg/kg) and the root-shoot transfer factor(0.09-0.57) of Zhongzhu No.1 increased with the increase of soil Sb concentration, but the change of Sb bioconcentration factor in roots was opposite, indicating that high concentrations of Sb in soil could promote the absorption of Sb in roots and the transport of Sb to the aboveground part, but the Sb enrichment capacity of roots was relatively reduced with the increase of soil Sb. Sb stress had a certain impact on the physiological characteristics of ramie leaves. With the increase of Sb treatment concentration, MDA, POD and SOD showed a change trend of 'first increasing and then decreasing', while CAT gradually increased, indicating that Sb stress caused changes in the physiological characteristics of ramie leaves, thereby affecting plant growth and development. | 10 | Growth and Antimony Bioconcentration Characteristics of Wild Ramie(Boehmeria nivea)under Sb Stress in Different Valence States显示文摘[Objectives] To explore the effects of antimony(Sb) in different valence states on the growth and Sb bioconcentration and transfer of wild ramie(Boehmeria nivea). [Methods] A pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of Sb(Ⅲ) and Sb(Ⅴ) stress on plant height, biomass, leaf SPAD value, Sb contents in various organs, Sb bioconcentration and transfer factors, and other indexes. [Results] Both kinds of Sb treatments showed a trend of 'first increasing and then decreasing' in plant height as Sb concentration increased. The plant heights in Sb(Ⅲ) treatments with a concentration lower than 1 000 mg/kg and Sb(Ⅴ) treatments with concentrations lower than 4 000 mg/kg were significantly higher than that of the control check(CK);and the Sb(Ⅲ) treatment of the high concentration(4 000 mg/kg) resulted in a significant decrease in plant height, while the 8 000 mg/kg Sb(Ⅴ) treatment still showed an increase in plant height, indicating that the toxicity of Sb(Ⅴ) to wild ramie was significantly lower than that of Sb(Ⅲ). The Sb(Ⅲ) treatments with a concentration lower than 2 000 mg/kg had little effect on the dry weight of the aboveground part, while the treatment with a higher concentration showed a significant decrease;and the dry weights in various concentrations of Sb(Ⅴ) treatments showed no significant differences, but they were significantly higher than the CK and corresponding concentration of Sb(Ⅲ) treatment. Both types of Sb stress could promote the increase of SPAD value in wild ramie leaves, and the performance was significantly higher than the CK. As the concentration of Sb treatment increased, the Sb content in both the aboveground and underground parts showed a significant increase;and the comparison of Sb content under corresponding concentrations of the two types of Sb treatments showed that in the aboveground part, Sb(Ⅲ) was higher than Sb(Ⅴ), while in the underground part, the opposite was true. The bioconcentration factor(BF) of Sb decreased with the increase of Sb treatment concentration overall, and the value of Sb(Ⅴ) was smaller than that of Sb(Ⅲ), but both kinds of Sb stress were significantly smaller than the CK. The transfer factor(TF) of Sb in wild ramie showed a trend of 'increasing first and then decreasing' with the concentration of Sb treatment, and various treatments of Sb(Ⅲ) were higher than the CK, with significant differences, while among various treatments of Sb(Ⅴ), except treatment B3, the reduction of which was not significant, other Sb(Ⅴ) treatments showed significant decreases. Comparing the two types of Sb treatments, the BF and TF values of Sb in wild ramie under Sb(Ⅲ) treatments were higher than those under Sb(Ⅴ) treatments, and the TF reached a significant level, indicating that the Sb transport ability of wild ramie under Sb(Ⅲ) treatments was stronger. | 11 | Study on the Effect of 'Glimmer' on Cadmium Absorption and Yield of Rice显示文摘[Objectives]The effects of'Glimmer'treatment on dry matter accumulation,yield and cadmium accumulation in different types of rice varieties were investigated,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the regulation of low cadmium accumulation in rice grains.[Methods]Under the treatment of cadmium contaminated soil with a concentration of 0.58 mg/kg,the effects of'Glimmer'treatment on dry matter accumulation,yield and cadmium content of different rice varieties were studied by pot experiment.[Results]Spraying'Glimmer'can increase the biological yield of rice,and the different types of rice showed the order of conventional rice>two-line hybrid rice>three-line hybrid rice.Among the conventional rice,most significant increase was observed in Huanghuazhan,and in two-line hybrid rice,C Liangyou 651 increased the most.The'Glimmer'treatment had an obvious yield increasing effect on conventional rice,among which such two varieties as Xiangwanxian 13 and Huanghuazhan had the largest increases,followed by the two-line hybrid rice,and a little effect was observed on the three-line hybrid rice.The'Glimmer'treatment resulted in a significant reduction in cadmium content in different types of rice,which decreased by 13.33%-26.09%,and seven varieties showed a reduction over 21.74%.[Conclusions]The'Glimmer'treatment can significantly reduce the cadmium content in rice,and generally promote the dry matter accumulation and yield increase of rice,of which conventional rice performed better. | Jing ZHOU Guoliang YU Chunpeng HE Guohui MA Guiyuan MENG | 2019 | Agricultural Biotechnology2019,8,4: | 0 |
| 12 | Effects of Different Herbicides on the Control of Malachium aquaticum L. and Poa annua L.显示文摘In this experiment,the effects of 13 kinds of herbicides( or mixtures) on the control of two kinds of weeds were studied by pot cultivation with the broadleaf weed Malachium aquaticum L. and Gramineae weed Poa annua L. as the materials. The results showed that the herbicide MCPA-Na had the best and fastest control effect on M. aquaticum L.,and all the M. aquaticum L. died 7 d after treatment;it was followed by the other four herbicides including MCPA-Na + clethodim,MCPA-Na + quizalofop-p-ethyl,bentazon and nicosulfuron·atrazine,and all the M. aquaticum L. died 14 d after treatment. Atrazine was the best herbicide to control Gramineae weeds,followed by nicosulfuron·atrazine,and mesotrione·nicosulfuron·atrazine. The study on the application of field herbicide found that four herbicides including atrazine,mesotrione·nicosulfuron·atrazine,nicosulfuron·atrazine and bentazon had better control effect on weeds. The best herbicide for flax field was MCPA-Na + clethodim,followed by MCPA-Na and MCPA-Na + quizalofop-p-ethyl.
