2Integrated Chinese-western therapy versus western therapy alone on survival rate in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer at middlelate stage显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To compare the effects of integrated Chinese-Western therapy versus Western therapy alone on the survival rate of patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) at middle-late stage and to evaluate prognostic factors. METHODS: We selected 98 inpatients with middle-late stage NSCLC diagnosed from March 2009 to March 2011 and randomly divided them into two groups, with 49 cases in each group, and the clinical data were analyzed retrospectively.The control group was treated by the combined methods of Western Medicine, including chemotherapy, supportive treatment and symptomatic treatment. The observation group was treated by injection and prescriptions of Chinese medicine based on Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome differentiation and by the same combined methods of western treatment used in the control group. After treatment, the survival rates of the patients were compared by the stage of cancer and evaluation of 24 prognostic factors analyzed by a Cox regressionmodel, and the clinical data were statistically analyzed. RESULTS: The survival rates of all patients were over 90.0% at 1 and 3 months after treatment with no significant differences between the two groups (P>0.05); In the observation group the survival rates at 6 months and 1 year were 93.4% and 42.8%, respectively, being superior to 85.6% and 18.3% in the control group (P<0.05). The median survival time in the observation group was superior to the control group (P<0.05); The effects of 24 prognostic factors were significantly better in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05). 3ESTIMATION METHOD ON THE BATTERY STATE OF CHARGE FOR HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE显示文摘A combined algorithm for battery state of charge(SOC)estimation is proposed to solve the critical issue of hybrid electric vehicle(HEV).To obtain a more accurate SOC,both coulomb-accumulation and battery resistance-capacitor(RC)model are weighted combined to compensate the deficiencies of individual methods.In order to solve the key issue of coulomb-accumulation,the battery thermal model is used.Based on the principle of energy conservation,the heat generated from battery charge and discharge process is converted into the equivalent electricity to calculate charge and discharge efficiency under variable current.The extended Kalman filter(EKF)as a closed loop algorithm is applied to estimate the parameters of resistance-capacitor model.The input variables do not increase much computing difficulty.The proposed combined algorithm is implemented by adjusting the weighting factor of coulomb- accumulation and resistance-capacitor model In the end,four different methods including Ah-efficiency,Ah-Equip,RC-SOC and Combined-SOC are compared in federal testing procedure (FTP)drive cycle.The experiment results show that the proposed method has good robustness and high accuracy which is suitable for HEV application.QIANG Jiaxi AO Guoqiang YANG Lin 2008Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2008,21,3:7
4Identification of hydrodynamic coefficients from experiment of vortex-induced vibration of slender riser model显示文摘One of the challenges in predicting the dynamic response of deepwater risers under vortex-induced vibration (VIV) is that it runs short of believable fluid loading model. Moreover, the hydrodynamic loading is also difficult to be measured directly in the VIV experiments without disturbing the fluid field. In the present work, by means of a finite element analysis method based on the experimental data of the response displacements, the total instantaneous distributions of hydrodynamic forces together with the hydrodynamic coefficients on the riser model with large aspect ratio (length/diameter) of 1750 are achieved. The steady current speeds considered in the experiments of this work are ranging from 0.15 m/s to 0.60 m/s, giving the Reynolds Number between 2400 and 9600. The hydrodynamic coefficients are evaluated at the fundamental frequency and in the higher order frequency components for both in-line and cross-flow directions. It is found that the Root-Mean Squared hydrodynamic forces of the higher order response frequency are larger than those of the fundamental response frequency. 6Diffusion mechanism simulation of cloud manufacturing complex network based on cooperative game theory显示文摘Cloud manufacturing is a specific implementation form of the 'Internet + manufacturing' strategy. Why and how to develop cloud manufacturing platform(CMP), however, remains the key concern of both platform operators and users. A microscopic model is proposed to investigate advantages and diffusion forces of CMP through exploration of its diffusion process and mechanism. Specifically, a three-stage basic evolution process of CMP is innovatively proposed. Then, based on this basic process, a more complex CMP evolution model has been established in virtue of complex network theory, with five diffusion forces identified. Thereafter, simulations on CMP diffusion have been conducted. The results indicate that, CMP possesses better resource utilization,user satisfaction, and enterprise utility. Results of simulation on impacts of different diffusion forces show that both the time required for CMP to reach an equilibrium state and the final network size are affected simultaneously by the five diffusion forces. 9High-risk phenotypes of genetic disease in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit population显示文摘To the Editor: Genetic diseases contribute to 35% of deaths during the first year of life and are a significant cause of intensive care.[1] A previous study based on the China Neonatal Genomes Project investigated the genetic causes of early infant deaths and found that >25% of deceased neonates with genetic diagnoses can be cured if diagnosed in time.[2] Therefore, it is crucial to target and diagnose neonates with genetic diseases as early as possible. According to our experience, the typical phenotypes, such as special facial features or multiple congenital anomalies (MCAs), indicate a high risk of genetic disease and lead physicians to perform genetic testing in neonates as early as possible. However, in practice, infants without typical phenotypes typically undergo a long and costly diagnostic process before genetic diagnoses are confirmed. Moreover, a recent survey by the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) and other national professional organizations indicated that there are insufficient numbers of qualified geneticists to fulfil genetic service needs.[3] The ACMG published the general clinical features for genetic testing indications. For example, patients with phenotypes or family history data that strongly implicate a genetic cause may undergo genetic testing.[1] However, the study indicated that many genetic conditions arise de novo or are inherited with no family history.[1] A previous study attempted to apply the non-phenotype-driven panel approach in neonates admitted to the neonate intensive care unit (NICU).[4] However, at present, the diagnostic yield is only 3.45% (1/29).[4] In addition, the economic and ethical issues associated with genomic screening remain challenging. 11Design study for the cascaded HGHG experiment based on the SDUV-FEL显示文摘Cascading stages of high-gain harmonic generation(HGHG) free electron laser(FEL) is a promising way to produce fully coherent X-ray radiation.As a test facility for modern FEL R&D,the Shanghai deep ultraviolet FEL(SDUV-FEL) is now under upgrading for the cascading two stages of HGHG experiment.Since the energy of the electron beam is as low as about 185 MeV after upgrade,the total harmonic number of this two stages HGHG is only 2×2,and the wavelength of the final radiation is 196.5 nm which is the 4th harmonic of the 786 nm seed laser.With help of three-dimensional simulation codes,design studies on the FEL physics for the cascaded HGHG experiment are present based on the parameters of the upgraded SDUV-FEL facility.It is found from the simulation results that the part of the electron beam which has been used in the first stage can still generate powerful radiation in the radiator of the second stage,and this radiation will be difficult to be separated from the radiation generated by the fresh part of the electron beam.To overcome this problem,a novel method based on the energy spectrum of the electron beam is proposed in this paper to demonstrate the 'fresh bunch' technique.FENG Chao ZHANG Meng LIN GuoQiang GU Qiang DENG HaiXiao CHEN JianHui WANG Dong ZHAO ZhenTang 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,26:2
12Influence of Nitrogen Flow Rate on the Microstructure and Properties of N and Me (Me=Cr,Zr) Co-doped Diamond-like Carbon Films显示文摘In this paper,Me (Me=Cr,Zr) and N co-doped diamond like carbon (DLC-MeN) composite films were prepared on cemented carbide substrates by pulsed bias arc ion plating.The effect of nitrogen flow rates on the microstructure and properties of the films were investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS),Raman spectra,grazing incident X-ray diffraction (GIXRD),high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and nano-indentation.Raman,GIXRD and HRTEM results show that the deposited films are nanocomposite films with MeN nanocrystalline phase embedded within DLC amorphous matrix,which are vital for the mechanical properties of the films.The nitrogen flow rate has significant effect on the compositions and structures and hence on the hardness and elastic modulus of the films,and increasing nitrogen flow rate decreases drastically the hardness and elastic modulus of the films.Zhiyun Han,Hongkai Li,Guoqiang Lin and Chuang Dong Key Laboratory for Material Modification by Laser,Ion and Electron Beams,Dalian University of Technology,Dalian 116085,China 2010Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,11:2

20Integrating local and partial network view for routing on scale-free networks显示文摘Traditional routing schemes,such as OSPF,optimize data plane routing efciency by maintaining full view of the network at the control plane.However,maintaining full network view and handling frequent routing information updates are costly in large-scale complex networks,which are considered to be the root causes for the routing scalability issue.Recently,it is suggested that routing on local or partial information is plausible if slight performance degradation is acceptable.This paper proposes a routing scheme,operating on an integrated network view at each node that consists of its local neighborhood and a globally unique skeleton tree.This scheme signifcantly reduces storage,communication and processing costs.On scale-free networks,this beneft only comes at the cost of marginal performance degradation,which implies that it is not worthwhile to do shortest path routing based on full view of the network on scale-free networks.In contrast,the routing efciency is severely aggravated on purely random networks,indicating the inappropriateness of this scheme and the rationality of maintaining full network view on random networks.TANG MingDong ZHANG GuoQiang SUN Yi LIU JianXun YANG Jing LIN Tao 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,10:1
