Anthropogenic emission inventories in China:a review显示文摘The development of reliable anthropogenic emission inventories is essential for both understanding the sources of air pollution and designing effective air-pollution-control measures in China. However, it is challenging to quantify emissions in China accurately, given the variety of contributing sources, the complexity of the technology mix and the lack of reliable measurements. Over the last two decades, tremendous efforts have been made to improve the accuracy of emission inventories, and significant improvements have been realized. More reliable statistics and survey-based data have been used to reduce the uncertainties in activity rates and technology distributions. Local emission factors and source profiles covering various sources have been measured and reported. Based on these local databases, improved emission inventory models have been developed for power plants, large industrial plants and the residential, transportation and agricultural sectors. In this paper, we review the progress that has been made in developing inventories of anthropogenic emissions in China. We first highlight the major updates that have been made to emission inventory models and the underlying data by source category. We then summarize the sector-based estimates of emissions of different species contained in current inventories. The progress that has been made in the development of model-ready emissions is also presented. Finally, we suggest future directions for further improving the accuracy of emission inventories in China.Meng Li Huan Liu Guannan Geng Chaopeng Hong Fei Liu Yu Song Dan Tong Bo Zheng Hongyang Cui Hanyang Man Qiang Zhang Kebin He 2017National Science Review2017,4,6:100

Reproductive management through integration of PGD and MPS-based noninvasive prenatal screening/diagnosis for a family with GJB2-associated hearing impairment显示文摘A couple with a proband child of GJB2(encoding the gap junction protein connexin 26)-associated hearing impairment and a previous pregnancy miscarriage sought for a reproductive solution to bear a healthy child. Our study aimed to develop a customized preconception-to-neonate care trajectory to fulfill this clinical demand by integrating preimplantation genetic diagnosis(PGD), noninvasive prenatal testing(NIPT), and noninvasive prenatal diagnosis(NIPD) into the strategy. Auditory and genetic diagnosis of the proband child was carried out to identify the disease causative mutations. The couple then received in-vitro-fertilization treatment, and eight embryos were obtained for day 5 biopsy. PGD was performed by short-tandem-repeat linkage analysis and Sanger sequencing of GJB2 gene. Transfer of a GJB2 c.235del C heterozygous embryo resulted in a singleton pregnancy. At the 13 th week of gestation, genomic DNA(g DNA) from the trio family and cell-free DNA(cf DNA) from maternal plasma were obtained for assessment of fetal chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2 mutations. NIPT and NIPD showed the absence of chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2-associated disease in the fetus, which was later confirmed by invasive procedures and postnatal genetic/auditory diagnosis. This strategy successfully prevented the transmission of hearing impairment in the newborn, thus providing a valuable experience in reproductive management of similar cases and potentially other monogenic disorders.XIONG WenPing WANG DaYong GAO Yuan GAO Ya WANG HongYang GUAN Jing LAN Lan YAN JunHao ZONG Liang YUAN Yuan DONG Wei HUANG SeXin WU KeLiang WANG YaoShen WANG ZhiLi PENG HongMei LU YanPing XIE LinYi ZHAO Cui WANG Li ZHANG QiuJing GAO Yun LI Na YANG Ju YIN ZiFang HAN Bing WANG Wei CHEN Zi-Jiang WANG QiuJu 2015Science China(Life Sciences)2015,58,9:12
A human circulating immune cell landscape in aging and COVID-19显示文摘Age-associated changes in immune cells have been linked to an increased risk for infection. However,a global and detailed characterization of the changes that human circulating immune cells undergo with age is lacking. Here,we combined scRNA-seq,mass cytometry and sCATAC-seq to compare immune cell types in peripheral blood collected from young and old subjects and patients with COVID-19.We found that the immune cell landscape was reprogrammed with age and was characterized by T cell polarization from naive and memory cells to effector, cytotoxic, exhausted and reg-ulatory cells, along with increased late natural killer cells,age-associated B cells, inflammatory monocytes and age-associated dendritic cells. In addition, the expression of genes, which were implicated in coron-avirus susceptibility, was upregulated in a cell subtype-specific manner with age.Notably,COVID-19 promoted age-induced immune cell polarization and gene expression related to inflammation and cellular senes-cence.Therefore,these findings suggest that a dysreg-ulated immune system and increased gene expression associated with SARS-CoV-2 susceptibility may at least partially account for COVID-19 vulnerability in the elderly.Yingfeng Zheng Xiuxing Liu Wenqing Le Lihui Xie He Li Wen Wen Si Wang Shuai Ma Zhaohao Huang Jinguo Ye Wen Shi Yanxia Ye Zunpeng Liu Moshi Song Weiqi Zhang Jing-Dong J.Han Juan Carlos lzpisua Belmonte Chuanle Xiao Jing Qu Hongyang Wang Guang-Hui Liu Wenru Su 2020Protein & Cell2020,11,10:10
Microbiota transplantation reveals beneficial impact of berberine on hepatotoxicity by improving gut homeostasis显示文摘Berberine has been shown to reduce acute liver injury although the underlying mechanism is not fully understood. Because of the anatomic connection, the liver is constantly exposed to gut-derived bacterial products and metabolites. In this study, we showed that berberine has beneficial effects on both hepatotoxicity and intestinal damage in a rat model of chronic or acute liver injury. Microbiota transplantation from the rats with chronic hepatotoxicity could aggravate acute hepatotoxicity in mice treated with diethylnitrosamine(DEN). In rat models with gut homeostasis disruption induced by penicillin or dextran sulfate sodium(DSS), their fecal microbiota could also cause an enhanced hepatotoxicity of recipient mice. When treated with berberine, the DSS-induced enteric dysbacteriosis could be mitigated and their fecal bacteria were able to reduce acute hepatotoxicity in recipient mice. This study indicates that berberine could improve intestinal dysbacteriosis, which reduces the hepatotoxicity caused by pathological or pharmacological intervention. Fecal microbiota transplantation might be a useful method to directly explore homeostatic alteration in gut microbiota.Chenjie Qin Huilu Zhang Linghao Zhao Min Zeng Weijian Huang Gongbo Fu Weiping Zhou Hongyang Wang Hexin Yan 2018Science China(Life Sciences)2018,61,12:8

MoS2 nanorods with inner caves through synchronous encapsulation of sulfur for high performance Li–S cathodes显示文摘Lithium–sulfur(Li–S)batteries have become one of the most promising candidates for next-generation batteries owing to their high specific capacity, low cost, and environment-friendliness.Many efforts have been made to mitigate the'shuttle effect'through physical adsorption and chemical bonding.MoS2 has been proposed as a cathode material to provide effective anchoring sites for lithium polysulfides(Li PSs),but is still limited by its layer structure.Herein,we designed novel MoS2 nanorods with inner caves based on our previous work, and performed synchronous encapsulation of sulfur during the synthesis process. The outer MoS2 tubular shells physically inhibit the outward diffusion of polysulfide species while the inner particles chemically anchor the polysulfides to prevent shuttling. As the cathode matrix in Li–S batteries, the electrochemical results deliver a high initial discharge capacity of 1213 mAhg^-1 for sulfur at 0.1 C.After cycling at 1 C for 300 cycles, the cells exhibit a capacity decay of only 0.076%per cycle and high average coulombic efficiency over 95%.The tubular MoS2 structure is an innovative and appealing design, which could be regarded as a prospective substrate for the improved performance of Li–S batteries.Yikun Yi Zechen Liu Pu Yang Tao Wang Xuewen Zhao Hongyang Huang Yonghong Cheng Jinying Zhang Mingtao Li 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,6:5

Automatic determination of optimal spectral peaks for classification of Chinese tea varieties using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy显示文摘The accurate identification of tea varieties is of great significance to ensure the interests of tea producers and consumers. As a non-destructive or micro damage detection method,laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS)has been widely used in the quality detection or classification of agricultural products and food. The objective of this research was to automatically select optimal spectral peaks from the full LIBS spectra, and develop effective classification model for identifying tea varieties. The LIBS spectra covering the region 200-500 nm were measured for 600 Chinese tea leaves including six varieties(i.e.Longjing green tea,Jinhao black tea,Tie Guanyin,Huang Jinya,White peony tea,and Anhua dark tea).A total of 50 optimal spectral peaks were automatically selected from full LIBS spectra(6102)by using the uninformative variable elimination(UVE)and partial least squares projection analysis, and the selected spectral peaks mainly represent the elemental difference in C,Fe,Mg,Mn,Al and Ca.Partial Least Squares Discriminant Analysis(PLS-DA)was used for developing classification model using selected optimal spectral peaks, and yielded the 99.77%classification accuracy for 300 test samples was reached. The results indicate that the proposed method can be used to identify leaf varieties in various tea products.Hongyang Zhang Qibing Zhu Min Huang Ya Guo 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,3:4
Development of Cryogenic Disinfectants Using in-18℃and-40℃Environments—Worldwide,2021显示文摘Introduction:Since the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)in Beijing Xinfadi Wholesale Market,a series of COVID-19 outbreaks has indicated the threat of transmission due to outer surfaces of objects under low temperatures.Therefore,2 kinds of chlorine-containing disinfectants for−18℃and−40℃were developed in order to solve the problem of low temperature disinfection. Methods:The properties of two cryogenic disinfectants were evaluated by low-temperature test.Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli were used as two indicator microorganisms to evaluate the effects of the two cryogenic disinfectants in the laboratory and field tests according to Technical Specifications for Disinfection(2002 version)and Test method for bactericidal effect of disinfectants in laboratory(GB/T 38502-2020).Results:Two disinfectants could remain in the liquid state at−18℃or−40℃in 72 hours without crystallization and precipitation, and the average log values of microbial reduction before and after disinfection(the average killing log value)both on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli were>3 in the laboratory and field tests.Discussion:The results showed that these two disinfectants remained functional at low temperature to disinfect the packaging of imported cold chain food and surrounding packaging to prevent transmission of COVID-19 from material to people.Huihui Sun Hongyang Duan Wei Zhang Chen Liang Luyao Li Yuan Lyu Yanyan Chen Jin Shen Liubo Zhang 2021China CDC weekly2021,3,13:4
A Decoupling Control Model on Perturbation Method for Twin-Roll Casting Magnesium Alloy Sheet显示文摘To better understand the twin-roll casting process, based on the analysis of the solidification phenomenon, the geometry shape of the molten metal pool, the continuity of metal and the balance of energy and momentum, five critical partial equations were established separately including the equations of pool level, solidification process, roll separating force, roll gap and casting speed.Meanwhile,to obtain a uniform sheet thickness and keep a constant roll separating force,a decoupling control model was built on the perturbation method to eliminate the interference of process parameters. The simulation results show that the control model is valuable to quickly and accurately determine the control parameters. Moreover,Mg alloy sheets with high quality were cast by applying this model.Wenyu Zhang Dongying Ju Hongyang Zhao Xiaodong Hu Yao Yao Yujun Zhang 2015Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,5:4
Poly-PR in C9ORF72-Related Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis/Frontotemporal Dementia Causes Neurotoxicity by Clathrin-Dependent Endocytosis显示文摘GGGGCC repeat expansions in the C9 ORF72 gene are the most common cause of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and frontotemporal dementia(c9 ALS/FTD). It has been reported that hexanucleotide repeat expansions in C9 ORF72 produce five dipeptide repeat(DPR) proteins by an unconventional repeat-associated non-ATG(RAN)translation. Within the five DPR proteins, poly-PR and poly-GR that contain arginine are more toxic than the other DPRs(poly-GA, poly-GP, and poly-PA). Here, we demonstrated that poly-PR peptides transferred into cells by endocytosis in a clathrin-dependent manner, leading to endoplasmic reticulum stress and cell death. In SH-SY5 Y cells and primary cortical neurons, poly-PR activated JUN amino-terminal kinase(JNK) and increased the levels of p53 and Bax. The uptake of poly-PR peptides by cells was significantly inhibited by knockdown of clathrin or by chlorpromazine, an inhibitor that blocks clathrin-mediated endocytosis. Inhibition of clathrin-dependent endocytosis by chlorpromazine significantly blocked the transfer of poly-PR peptides into cells, and attenuated poly-PRinduced JNK activation and cell death. Our data revealed that the uptake of poly-PR undergoes clathrin-dependentendocytosis and blockade of this process prevents the toxic effects of synthetic poly-PR peptides.Rui Wang Xingyun Xu Zongbing Hao Shun Zhang Dan Wu Hongyang Sun Chenchen Mu Haigang Ren Guanghui Wang 2019Neuroscience Bulletin2019,35,5:4
m6A RNA methylation-mediated HNF3γreduction renders hepatocellular carcinoma dedifferentiation and sorafenib resistance显示文摘Hepatocyte nuclear factor 3γ(HNF3γ)is a hepatocyte nuclear factor, but its role and clinical significance in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remain unclear.Herein,we report that HNF3γexpression is downregulated in patient HCC and inversely correlated with HCC malignancy and patient survival. Moreover, our data suggested that the HNF3γreduction in HCC could be mediated by METTL14-dependent m6A methylation of HNF3γmRNA.HNF3γexpression was increased during hepatic differentiation and decreased in dedifferentiated HCC cells.Interestingly,HNF3γdelivery promoted differentiation of not only HCC cells but also liver CSCs,which led to suppression of HCC growth.Mechanistic analysis suggested an HNF3γ-centered regulatory network that includes essential liver differentiation-associated transcription factors and functional molecules, which could synergistically facilitate HCC cell differentiation.More importantly, enforced HNF3γexpression sensitized HCC cells to sorafenib-induced growth inhibition and cell apoptosis through transactivation of OATP1B1 and OATP1B3 expression, which are major membrane transporters for sorafenib uptake.Clinical investigation showed that patient-derived HCC xenografts with high HNF3γexpression exhibited a sorafenib response and patients with high HCC HNF3γlevels benefited from sorafenib therapy.Together, these results suggest that HNF3γplays an essential role in HCC differentiation and may serve as a therapeutic target and predictor of sorafenib benefit in patients.Tengfei Zhou Shichao Li Daimin Xiang Junyu Liu Wen Sun Xiuliang Cui Beifang Ning Xiao Li Zhuo Cheng Weiqi Jiang Cheng Zhang Xijun Liang Liang Li Xin Cheng Liu Hui Hongyang Wang Jin Ding 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:4
FREQUENCY ESTIMATION OF SINUSIODE FROM WIDEBAND USING SUB-NYQUIST SAMPLING显示文摘A novel frequency estimation algorithm for wideband signal with sub-Nyquist sampling is proposed in this paper. With the aid of information provided by the auxiliary delayed sampling channel and the aliased frequency estimation for wideband signal with sub-Nyquist sampling, the frequency aliasing due to sub-Nyquist sampling can be solved. This method can reduce the complexity of the overall hardware at the cost of an auxiliary sampling channel. Furthermore, in order to alleviate the computation burden for its practicability, a more simplified algorithm is put forward and its validity is proved by our numerical simulation results. The Cramer-Rao Lower Bound (CRLB) of the frequency estimation is also derived at the end of this paper.Zhang Guangbin Wang Hongyang Liao Guisheng 2006Journal of Electronics(China)2006,23,2:4
Concave Cu-Pd bimetallic nanocrystals: Ligand-based Co-reduction and mechanistic study显示文摘The synthesis of highly uniform alloy nanocrystals with a concave feature is desirable for applications in catalysis but is an arduous task. This article proposes an initiative protocol for the fabrication of novel Cu-Pd alloy nanocrystals, wherein the volume of decylamine (DA) in the reaction system was found to greatly influence the formation of different morphologies, including the tetrahedron (TH), concave tetrahedron (CTH), rhombohedral-tetrapod (RTP), and tetrapod (TP). The alloy structure of the products arises from the coordination interaction between the DA and metal ions, which affects the reduction potential of Cu and Pd species, and thus yields co-reduction. Other reaction parameters, such as the type of ligand, amount of reductant, and temperature, were also altered to study the growth mechanism, yielding consistent conclusions in the diffusion-controlled regime. As a catalyst, 48-nm Cu-Pd concave tetrahedral nanocrystals were highly active for the hydrogenation of 3-nitrostyrene and exhibited 〉99.9% chemoselectivity to C=C instead of-NO2.Lan Zhang Hongyang Su Mei Sun Youcheng Wang Wenlong Wu Taekyung Yu Jie Zeng 2015Nano Research2015,8,7:4
Conversion of hepatoma cells to hepatocyte-like cells by defined hepatocyte nuclear factors显示文摘Normal cells become cancer cells after a malignant transformation, but whether cancer cells can be reversed to normal status remains elusive. Here,we report that the combination of hepatocyte nuclear factor IA (HNFIA),HNF4A and forkhead box protein A3 (FOXA3)synergistically reprograms hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)cells to hepatocyte-like cells (reprogrammed hepatocytes, rHeps). Our results show that rHeps lose the malignant phenotypes of cancer cells and retrieve hepatocyte-specific characteristics including hepatocyte-like morphology;global expression pattern of genes and specific biomarkers of hepatocytes;and the unique hepatic functions of albumin (ALB)secretion, glycogen synthesis,low-density lipoprotein (LDL)uptake, urea production, cytochrome P450 enzymes induction and drug metabolism.Intratumoral injection of these three factors efficiently shrank patientderived tumor xenografts and reprogrammed HCC cells in vivo. Most importantly, transplantation of rHeps in the liver of fumarylacetoacetate hydrolase-deficient (Fah^-/-)mice led to the reconstruction of hepatic lobules and the restoration of hepatic function.Mechanistically, exogenous expression of HNF1A,HNF4A and FOXA3 in HCC cells initiated the endogenous expression of numerous hepatocyte nuclear factors, which promoted the conversion of HCC cells to hepatocyte-like cells.Collectively, our results indicate the successful conversion of hepatoma cells to hepatocyte-like cells, not only extending our current knowledge of cell reprogramming but also providing a route towards a novel therapeutic strategy for cancer.Zhuo Cheng Zhiying He Yongchao Cai Cheng Zhang Gongbo Fu Hengyu Li Wen Sun Changcheng Liu Xiuliang Cui Beifang Ning Daimin Xiang Tengfei Zhou Xiaofeng Li Weifen Xie Hongyang Wang Jin Ding 2019Cell Research2019,29,2:3
Preparation of Polyimide Fiber/Thermoplastic Resin Composites with Improved Mechanical Properties显示文摘As a high-performance material for preparing composite materials, polyimide fibers suffer from many potential drawbacks, including poor bonding with other substrates, which results in composite materials with poor mechanical properties. Therefore, this study proposed a simple and rapid technique for obtaining loose, porous polyimide fiber papers by implementing a wet method using equal amounts of polyimide fiber and polyimide fiber paper as reinforcements, respectively. The polyimide resin-based composite materials were prepared by hand lay-up and hot pressing. The results showed that the paper-based reinforcement exhibited high porosity and the fibers were arranged with a uniform pore size distribution. The tensile properties, bending performance, and interlaminar shear performance of the paper-based composite improved by 130%, 108%, and 34.5%, respectively, compared to those of the fiberbased counterpart. The factors affecting the mechanical properties of the composites were analyzed based on the fiber length, fiber beating or lack thereof, and the basis weight of the paper. The increased uniformity of the polyimide fiber paper changed the ordering of the fibers and resolved drawbacks such as difficult dispersion, uneven pore size distribution, and poor mechanical properties related to single fibers in the resin-based composite material.Hongyang Dang Le Chen Guoliang Zhang Ruqiang Zhang Jie Chen Zhu Long 2019Paper And Biomaterials2019,4,3:3

A Deep Neural Network Coordination Model for Electric Heating and Cooling Loads Based on IoT Data显示文摘As the ubiquitous electric power internet of things(UEPIoT)evolves and IoT data increases, traditional scheduling modes for load dispatch centers have yielded a variety of chal-lenges such as calculation of real-time optimization, extraction of time-varying characteristics and formulation of coordinated scheduling strategy for capacity optimization of electric heating and cooling loads. In this paper,a deep neural network coor-dination model for electric heating and cooling loads based on the situation awareness(SA)of thermostatically controlled loads(TCLs)is proposed.First,a sliding window is used to adaptively preprocess the IoT node data with uncertainty.According to personal thermal comfort(PTC)and peak shaving contribution(PSC),a dynamic model for loads is proposed;meanwhile, personalized behavior and consumer psychology are integrated into a flexible regulation model of TCLs.Then,a deep Q-network(DQN)-based approach, using the thermal comfort and electricity cost as the comprehensive reward function,is proposed to solve the sequential decision problem. Finally, the simulation model is designed to support the validity of the deep neural network coordination model for electric heating and cooling loads,by using UEPIoT intelligent dispatching system data. The case study demonstrates that the proposed method can efficiently manage coordination with large-scale electric heating and cooling loads.Hongyang Jin Yun Teng Tieyan Zhang Zedi Wang Zhe Chen 2020CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,1:3
