| 4 | Predictive values of multidetector-row computed tomography combined with serum tumor biomarkers in preoperative lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer显示文摘Objective: Multidetector-row computed tomography(MDCT) and serum tumor biomarkers are commonly used to evaluate the preoperative lymph node metastasis and the clinical staging of gastric cancer(GC). This study intends to evaluate the clinical predictive value of MDCT and serum tumor biomarkers in lymph node metastasis of GC.Methods: The clinicopathologic data of 445 GC patients who underwent radical gastrectomy were retrospectively analyzed to evaluate the diagnostic value of MDCT and serum tumor biomarkers in lymph node metastatic staging of GC before surgery.Results: With the multinomial logistic regression analysis, the independent relative factors of lymph node metastasis of GC were identified as tumor size, depth of tumor invasion, vessel invasion, vascular embolus, and soft tissue invasion. The optimal critical value of the short diameter of lymph nodes detected by MDCT scanning for evaluation of preoperative lymph node metastasis was 6.0 mm, with 75.7% as predictive accuracy of lymph node metastasis compared to the postoperative pathological results of GC patients. | 5 | Drift and deposition of pesticide applied by UAV on pineapple plants under different meteorological conditions显示文摘Spray drift has always been a focus research area in the field of unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)application.Under the fixed premises of UAV operating parameters,such as height,speed and spraying liquid,the droplet drift is mainly affected by meteorological conditions.In this research,the spray drift and deposition tests were conducted using a QuanFeng120 UAV in a pineapple field under various different meteorological conditions.The experimental results showed that with the changes of UAV operating height and wind speed,the start position of the in-swath deposition area changed 4 m in the extreme situation.The percentage of the total spray drift was from 15.42%to 55.76%.The position of cumulative spray drift that accounted for 90%of the total spray drift was from 3.70 m to 46.50 m relative to the flight line.According to the downwind spray drift curve,the nonlinear equations of the same type under the four operating conditions of the UAV were fitted.The spray drift and the deposition of UAV application were significantly affected by different meteorological conditions and UAV operating heights.The results could provide a theoretical basis for UAV spraying in pineapple plants and support for spray drift control and prediction. | Juan Wang Yubin Lan Huihui Zhang Yali Zhang Sheng Wen Weixiang Yao Jiajian Deng | 2018 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,6: | 10 |

| 7 | Scalable and ultrafast epitaxial growth of single-crystal graphene wafers for electrically tunable liquid-crystal microlens arrays显示文摘The scalable growth of wafer-sized single-crystal graphene in an energy-efficient manner and compatible with wafer process is critical for the killer applications of graphene in high-performance electronics and optoelectronics. Here, ultrafast epitaxial growth of single-crystal graphene wafers is realized on singlecrystal Cu90Ni10(1 1 1) thin films fabricated by a tailored two-step magnetron sputtering and recrystallization process. The minor nickel(Ni) content greatly enhances the catalytic activity of Cu, rendering the growth of a 4 in. single-crystal monolayer graphene wafer in 10 min on Cu90Ni10(1 1 1), 50 folds faster than graphene growth on Cu(1 1 1). Through the carbon isotope labeling experiments, graphene growth on Cu90Ni10(1 1 1) is proved to be exclusively surface-reaction dominated, which is ascribed to the Cu surface enrichment in the Cu Ni alloy, as indicated by element in-depth profile. One of the best benefits of our protocol is the compatibility with wafer process and excellent scalability. A pilot-scale chemical vapor deposition(CVD) system is designed and built for the mass production of single-crystal graphene wafers, with productivity of 25 pieces in one process cycle. Furthermore, we demonstrate the application of single-crystal graphene in electrically controlled liquid-crystal microlens arrays(LCMLA), which exhibit highly tunable focal lengths near 2 mm under small driving voltages. By integration of the graphene based LCMLA and a CMOS sensor, a prototype camera is proposed that is available for simultaneous light-field and light intensity imaging. | 8 | Genome of a citrus rootstock and global DNA demethylation caused by heterografting显示文摘Grafting is an ancient technique used for plant propagation and improvement in horticultural crops for at least 1,500 years.Citrus plants,with a seed-to-seed cycle of 5–15 years,are among the fruit crops that were probably domesticated by grafting.Poncirus trifoliata,a widely used citrus rootstock,can promote early flowering,strengthen stress tolerance,and improve fruit quality via scion–rootstock interactions.Here,we report its genome assembly using PacBio sequencing.We obtained a final genome of 303 Mb with a contig N50 size of 1.17Mb and annotated 25,680 protein-coding genes.DNA methylome and transcriptome analyses indicated that the strong adaptability of P.trifoliata is likely attributable to its special epigenetic modification and expression pattern of resistance-related genes.Heterografting by using sweet orange as scion and P.trifoliata as rootstock and autografting using sweet orange as both scion and rootstock were performed to investigate the genetic effects of the rootstock.Single-base methylome analysis indicated that P.trifoliata as a rootstock caused DNA demethylation and a reduction in 24-nt small RNAs(sRNAs)in scions compared to the level observed with autografting,implying the involvement of sRNA-mediated graft-transmissible epigenetic modifications in citrus grafting.Taken together,the assembled genome for the citrus rootstock and the analysis of graft-induced epigenetic modifications provide global insights into the genetic effects of rootstock–scion interactions and grafting biology. | Yue Huang Yuantao Xu Xiaolin Jiang Huiwen Yu Huihui Jia Chunming Tan Gang Hu Yibo Hu Muhammad Junaid Rao Xiuxin Deng Qiang Xu | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 4 |
| 9 | Concise and efficient direct-view generation of arbitrary cylindrical vector beams by a vortex half-wave plate显示文摘A concise, efficient, and practical direct-view scheme is presented to generate arbitrary cylindrical vector(CV)beams, including CV beams, vortex beams, and cylindrical vector vortex(CVV) beams, by a vortex half-wave plate(VHP). Six kinds of first-order and other high-order CV beams, such as azimuthally polarized(AP) beams, antivortex radial polarization mode beams, and three-order AP beams, are formed by simply rotating a half-wave plate. The Stokes parameters and double-slit interference of multitype CV beams are investigated in detail.The polarization parameters, including degree of polarization, polarization azimuth, and ellipticity, are obtained,which demonstrates the efficient generation of CV beams. In addition, the double-slit interference experiment is introduced in the setup, and fringe misplacement and tilt appear for CVV beams, in which the misplacement number M is 2P+1 for P ≤ 2 and 2P-1 for P ≥ 3, where P is the polarization order number, and the fringe tilt offset is positively related to the topological charge number l of CVV beams. In addition, new types of VHPs can be formed by cascading two or more VHPs when the types of available VHPs are limited, assisting in more flexible generation of multitype CV beams. | 11 | Plasma metabolomics combined with personalized diagnosis guided by Chinese medicine reveals subtypes of chronic heart failure显示文摘Background:Chronic heart failure(CHF)is characterized by insufficient blood supply from heart to meet the body’s metabolic demands.Integrating Western and traditional Chinese medicine to treat CHF has proved a validated therapeutic approach.In recent years,metabolomics has been regarded as a potential platform to provide biomarkers for diseasesubtypes.Objective:To examine 38 patients,combined NMR plasma metabolomics and traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis in order to identify diagnostic biomarkers for two CHF syndrome subtypes.Methods:After processing the spectra,orthogonal partial least square discriminant analysis was performed,and the contributing NMR signals were analyzed using Y-scrambling statistical validation with good reliability.Results:Plasma metabolic patterns of yin deficiency and yang deficiency patients were clearly discriminated.The yin-deficiency group had increased level of lactate,glycoprotein,lipoprotein and lower levels of glucose,valine and proline.The yang-deficiency group had higher levels of lactate,glycoprotein and pyruvic acid,and lower levels of glucose and lipoprotein.Potential biomarkers of CHF based on the two traditional Chinese medicine syndromes indicated alternative modes of metabolites and metabolic pathways in the disease,e.g.dysfunction of energy utilization and disturbance in fatty acids,amino acids.Conclusion:This study suggests that combining metabolomics with traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis can reveal metabolic signatures for CHF syndrome subtypes.The plasma metabolites identified might be of special clinical relevance for subtypes of CHF,which could lead to further understanding of mechanisms involved and an improvement in personalized treatment for CHF. | Juan Wang Shuzhen Guo Kuo Gao Qi Shi Bangze Fu Chan Chen Liangtao Luo Dong Deng Huihui Zhao Wei Wang | 2015 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2015,2,2: | 2 |
| 12 | An effective rolling process of magnesium alloys for suppressing edge cracks: Width-limited rolling显示文摘To suppress the edge crack of the magnesium alloy sheet during the ordinary rolling process, a new rolling process named width-limited rolling was proposed in this paper. Width-limited rolling is a rolling method in which the width of the alloy sheet is limited by modifying the shape of the rollers, allowing a compressive stress field to form at the edge portion of the alloy sheet during rolling, resulting in the reduction of edge cracks. At present work, magnesium alloy sheets were separately subjected to ordinary rolling and width-limited rolling. The microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of the rolled sheets were investigated by EBSD, TEM, and XRD. The results exhibited that under the same rolling conditions, the sheet after ordinary rolling exhibited obvious edge cracks while no crack was found at the edge of the sheet after width-limited rolling. The edge crack suppressing effect was attributed to the reduction of the tensile stress along rolling direction during WLR, promoting the synchronous extension of the edge and center regions to suppress edge crack tendency. Microstructure observation showed that the compressive twins formed in the sheet after ordinary rolling usually exhibited as thin plates and cannot continue to fully develop due to the premature generation of the edge cracks. However, the compressive twins developed maturely in some of which double twins formed and various slip systems with different dislocation Burgers vectors occurred in the rolled sheet after WLR. More twin intersections and shear bands, providing more potential recrystallization nucleation sites, which are beneficial to weaken basal texture.
