3Natural variations in grain length 10(GL10)regulate rice grain size显示文摘Grain size is an important determinant of grain weight and yield in rice.Although several genes related to grain size have been identified,natural variations in these genes that affect grain size are poorly characterized.Here,we describe the grain length QTL GL10,encoding MADS56,which positively regulates grain length and grain weight.A natural allelic variation of NIL-gl10,containing an~1.0-kb deletion in the first exon that abolishes its transcription,results in shorter grain length,lower grain weight and delayed flowering in gl10 plants.The knockout of GL10 in the HJX74 background leads to grain phenotypes similar to that of NIL-gl10,while overexpression of GL10 results in increased grain length and weight and earlier heading date.GL10 regulates grain length by promoting greater longitudinal cell growth in the grain glume.Additionally,GL10 participates in the regulation of gibberellic acid(GA)signaling pathway genes in young panicle tissues.Analysis of GL10 haplotypes shows obvious divergence between the japonica and indica lineages.Our findings reveal an allelic variation of GL10 that may explain differences in grain length among modern cultivars and could be used to breed rice varieties with optimized grain shape.Penglin Zhan Shuaipeng Ma Zhili Xiao Fangping Li Xin Wei Shaojun Lin Xiaoling Wang Zhe Ji Yu Fu Jiahao Pan Mi Zhou Yue Liu Zengyuan Chang Lu Li Suhong Bu Zupei Liu Haitao Zhu Guifu Liu Guiquan Zhang Shaokui Wang 2022Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,5:3
4Association of assisted reproductive technology, germline de novo mutations and congenital heart defects in a prospective birth cohort study显示文摘Emerging evidence suggests that children conceived through assisted reproductive technology(ART)have a higher risk of congenital heart defects(CHDs)even when there is no family history.De novo mutation(DNM)is a well-known cause of sporadic congenital diseases;however,whether ART procedures increase the number of germline DNM(gDNM)has not yet been well studied.Here,we performed whole-genome sequencing of 1137 individuals from 160 families conceived through ART and 205 families conceived spontaneously.Children conceived via ART carried 4.59 more gDNMs than children conceived spontaneously,including 332 paternal and 1.26 maternal DNMs,after correcting for parental age at conception,cigarette smoking,alcohol drinking,and exercise behaviors.Paternal DNMs in offspring conceived via ART are characterized by C>T substitutions at CpG sites,which potentially affect protein-coding genes and are significantly associated with the increased risk of CHD.In addition,the accumulation of non-coding functional mutations was independently associated with CHD and 87.9% of the mutations were originated from the father.Among ART offspring,infertility of the father was associated with elevated paternal DNMs;usage of both recombinant and urinary follicle-stimulating hormone and high-dosage human chorionic gonadotropin trigger was associated with an increase of maternal DNMs.In sum,the increased gDNMs in offspring conceived by ART were primarily originated from fathers,indicating that ART itself may not be a major reason for the accumulation of gDNMs.Our findings emphasize the importance of evaluating the germline status of the fathers in families with the use of ART.Cheng Wang Hong Lv Xiufeng Ling Hong Li Feiyang Diao Juncheng Dai Jiangbo Du Ting Chen Qi Xi Yang Zhao Kun Zhou Bo Xu Xiumei Han Xiaoyu Liu Meijuan Peng Congcong Chen Shiyao Tao Lei Huang Cong Liu Mingyang Wen Yangqian Jiang Tao Jiang Chuncheng Lu Wei Wu Di Wu Minjian Chen Yuan Lin Xuejiang Guo Ran Huo Jiayin Liu Hongxia Ma Guangfu Jin Yankai Xia Jiahao Sha Hongbing Shen Zhibin Hu 2021Cell Research2021,31,8:2
5Ordered mesoporous Cu-Ca-Zr:A superior catalyst for direct synthesis of methyl formate from syngas显示文摘It is still a big challenge to obtain both highly active and stable Cu-based catalysts for direct synthesis of methyl formate(MF)from syngas.To address the issue,we have designed and synthesized a series of ternary Cu-Ca-Zr catalysts,namely,the ordered mesoporous Cu-Ca-Zr catalyst prepared by one-pot evaporation-induced self-assembly(EISA)method,and the supported CuO/CaO-ZrO_(2)catalysts by impregnating with copper precursor or by immobilizing copper nanoparticles.In the latter two catalysts,the ordered mesoporous CaO-ZrO_(2)support was also prepared by the EISA method.The catalysts were characterized by techniques such as ICP,XRD,TEM,N2 isotherm adsorption-desorption,XPS and H2-TPR,and used for direct synthesis of MF.The results indicated that the catalyst prepared by onepot EISA method,in which the CuO species are highly dispersed in frame of CaO-ZrO_(2),exhibits much better activity and stability as compared with the other two catalysts with most of CuO located on the outer surface of the CaO-ZrO_(2)support,because the former has a higher specific surface area,enhanced synergistic effect and stronger interaction between the CaO-ZrO_(2)support and CuO active constituent.Jiahao Zhuang Bin Lu Fangna Gu Ziyi Zhong Fabing Su 2018Carbon Resources Conversion2018,1,2:2

7Multi-path based secure communication in wireless mesh networks显示文摘Communication security is a critical aspect of QoS provisioning in wireless mesh network (WMN). Because of the inherent characteristics of WMN, conventional security mechanisms cannot be applied. In order to guarantee the communication security, a novel communication security mechanism is proposed. The mechanism uses a communication encryption scheme to encrypt data packets and employs a risk avoidance scheme to avoid the malicious nodes during communications. 10Activation of hydrogen peroxide by molybdenum disulfide as Fenton-like catalyst and cocatalyst:Phase-dependent catalytic performance and degradation mechanism显示文摘Molybdenum disulfide(Mo S_(2))has attracted great attention in hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))activation as a Fenton-like catalyst and cocatalyst,but the distinct mechanism of generating^(·)OH remains unclear.In this paper,the metallic 1T phase and semiconducting 2H phase of Mo S_(2)nanosheets were prepared and applied in MoS_(2)/H_(2)O_(2)and MoS_(2)/Fe^(2+)/H_(2)O_(2)systems with and without light irradiation.Compared with2H-MoS_(2),1T-MoS_(2)exhibited superior removal rates in degrading organic pollutants in the two systems under light irradiation.However,the phase had little effect on activating H_(2)O_(2)in the Mo S_(2)/H_(2)O_(2)system under dark conditions.This is because it was difficult for the surface^(·)OH_(ads)generated in the Mo S_(2)/H_(2)O_(2)system to diffuse into solution,while the^(·)OH_(free)radicals were mainly responsible for degrading organic pollutants.When introducing light irradiation,external energy may accelerate the desorption of^(·)OH_(ads)into^(·)OH_(free.)Interestingly,the conversion between Mo^(4+)and Mo^(5+)triggered the decomposition of H_(2)O_(2)in the Fenton-like reaction,while the cycle of Mo^(4+)/Mo^(6+)promoted the regeneration of Fe^(3+)when employing 1T-MoS_(2)as a cocatalyst.Meanwhile,the 1T-MoS_(2)catalysts exhibited excellent stability and ability to degrade various organics in the two systems.This work offers deeper insight into the Mo S_(2)-based Fenton-like and cocatalytic mechanisms.Yue Li Bo Yu Huimin Li Bo Liu Xiang Yu Kewei Zhang Gang Qin Jiahao Lu Lihui Zhang Longlu Wang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,5:1

12A superior strength-ductility synergy of Al_(0.1)CrFeCoNi high-entropy alloy with fully recrystallized ultrafine grains and annealing twins显示文摘Grain refinement usually makes the materials stronger,while ductility has a dramatic loss.Here,a superior tensile strength–ductility synergy in a fully recrystallized ultrafine-grained(UFG)Al_(0.1)CrFeCoNi with abundant annealing twins was achieved by cold rolling at room temperature and short-time annealing.The microstructure characterization using electron backscattered scattering diffraction demonstrates that abundant geometrically necessary dislocations(GNDs)gather around the grain boundaries and twin boundaries after tensile deformation.Although coarse-grained(CG)samples undergo a larger plastic deformation than UFG samples,the GND density decreases with grain size ranging from UFG to CG.Transmission electron microscopy results reveal that the annealing twin boundary,which effectively hinders the dislocation slip and stores dislocation in grain interior,and the activation of multiple deformation twins are responsible for the superior strength–ductility synergy and work hardening ability.In addition,the yield strength of fully recrystallized Al_(0.1)CrFeCoNi follows a Hall–Petch relationship(σ_y=24+676d^(–1/2)),where d takes into account both grain boundaries and annealing twin boundaries.The strengthening effects of grain boundaries and annealing twin boundaries were also evaluated separately.Jiahao Li Kejie Lu Xiaojun Zhao Xinkai Ma Fuguo Li Hongbo Pan Jieming Chen 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,36:1

14Identification of publication characteristics and research trends in the management of gallbladder cancer显示文摘Background:To date,no comprehensive analysis of gallbladder cancer(GBC)management has been reported.We aimed to identify the publication characteristics and research trends in managing GBC over the past three decades.Methods:We selected the 100 most cited articles and performed a bibliometric analysis to summarize the publication characteristics,explore research hotspots,and identify research trends in the management of GBC.Results:The total citations of the included articles ranged from 123 to 1822.Period II(2001–2010)yielded the highest number of included articles,whereas the lowest was in Period III(2011–2020).The United States and Japan published the most papers,in which the Memorial Sloan–Kettering Cancer Center and Nagoya University were the leading institutions,respectively.The most influential authors were Blumgart LH and Fong YM from the United States.Cooperation among countries,institutions,and authors was weak.The Annals of Surgery contributed the most articles with the highest number of total citations.The most researched topic was surgery,followed by systemic therapy and adjuvant therapy.Since Period I,the percentage of surgery-related publications continuously decreased(Periods II and III versus Period I,both p<0.001),with a concomitant increase in those of adjuvant therapy(Period III versus Period I,p=0.004)and systemic therapy(Period II versus Period I,p=0.004;Period III versus Period I,p=0.002).Conclusions:Surgery remains the preferred treatment,while there is a tendency toward adjuvant and systemic therapy in GBC management.An increase in local and international collaboration for managing GBC is required.Jiasheng Cao Jiahao Hu Jiliang Shen Bin Zhang Win Topatana Shijie Li Tianen Chen Sarun Jeungpanich Yitong Tian Ziyi Lu Shuyou Peng Xiujun Cai Mingyu Chen 2022iLIVER2022,1,2:0
15Intermittent failure mechanism and stabilization of microscale electrical contact显示文摘The stability and lifetime of electrical contact pose a major challenge to the performance of microelectro-mechanical systems(MEMS),such as MEMS switches.The microscopic failure mechanism of electrical contact still remains largely unclear.Here conductive atomic force microscopy with hot switching mode was adopted to simulate the asperity-level contact condition in a MEMS switch.Strong variation and fluctuation of current and adhesion force were observed during 10,000 repetitive cycles,exhibiting an“intermittent failure”characteristic.This fluctuation of electrical contact properties was attributed to insulative carbonaceous contaminants repetitively formed and removed at the contact spot,corresponding to degradation and reestablishment of electrical contact.When contaminant film was formed,the contact interface became“metal/carbonaceous adsorbates/metal”instead of direct metal/metal contact,leading to degradation of the electrical contact state.Furthermore,a system of iridium/graphene on ruthenium(Ir/GrRu)was proposed to avoid direct metal/metal contact,which stabilized the current fluctuation and decreased interfacial adhesion significantly.The existence of graphene enabled less adsorption of carbonaceous contaminants in ambient air and enhanced mechanical protection against the repetitive hot switching actions.This work opens an avenue for design and fabrication of microscale electrical contact system,especially by utilizing two-dimensional materials.Tianbao MA Zhiwei YU Aisheng SONG Jiahao ZHAO Haibo ZHANG Hongliang LU Dandan HAN Xueyan WANG Wenzhong WANG 2023Friction2023,11,4:0

17Chiral supramolecular 2D halogen-bonded organic frameworks constructed by post-synthetic modified cross-linking strategy显示文摘The development of preparation methods for XOFs,as a new class of organic frameworks,plays a crucial role in shaping their structures,functions,and potential applications.In this study,we presented the construction of chiral supramolecular 2D halogen-bonded organic frameworks(XOFs)through a post-synthetic modification strategy.A linear halogen-bonded organic polymer(XOP),XOP-DPBA,decorated with aldehyde groups,was initially prepared to validate the feasibility of post-synthetic modification for XOF construction and functionalization.XOP-DPBA exhibited excellent reactivity with amines,forming imine bonds.By utilizing this reactivity,a series of cross-linked 2D XOFs were efficiently prepared through post-synthetic modified cross-linking reactions.Furthermore,we successfully introduced chiralα/β-cyclodextrins(α/β-CD)into the XOF skeletons via host-guest interactions,resulting in the fabrication of chiral supramolecular 2D XOFs.These chiral XOFs displayed the induced circular dichroism(ICD)signals and assembled them into helical fibers.The post-synthetic modification strategy demonstrated its versatility and simplicity for the construction and functionalization of XOFs.Ning Xia Jiahao Zhao Guanfei Gong Hongqiang Dong Haohu Li Jike Wang Lu Wang Shigui Chen 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,11:0
18Two-dimensional(n=1)ferroelectric film solar cells显示文摘Molecular ferroele ctrics that have excellent ferroelectric properties,a low processing temperature,narrow bandgap,and which are lightweight,have shown great potential in the photovoltaic field.However,two-dimensional(2D)perovskite solar cells with high tunability,excellent photo-physical properties and superior long-term stability are limited by poor out-of-plane conductivity from intrinsic multi-quantum-well electronic structures.This work uses 2D molecular ferroelectric film as the absorbing layer to break the limit of multiple quantum wells.Our 2D ferroelectric solar cells achieve the highest open-circuit voltage(1.29 V)and the best efficiency(3.71%)among the 2D(n=1)Ruddlesden-Popper perovskite solar cells due to the enhanced out-of-plane charge transport induced by molecular ferroelectrics with a strong saturation polarization,high Curie temperature and multiaxial characteristics.This work aims to break the inefficient out-of-plane charge transport caused by the limit of the multi-quantum-well electronic structure and improve the efficiency of 2D ferroelectric solar cells.Chen Wang Jiahao Gu Jun Li Jianyu Cai Lutao Li Junjie Yao Zheng Lu Xiaohan Wang Guifu Zou 2023National Science Review2023,10,7:0
19Optimization of Blade Geometry of Savonius Hydrokinetic Turbine Based onGenetic Algorithm显示文摘Savonius hydrokinetic turbine is a kind of turbine set which is suitable for low-velocity conditions.Unlike conventional turbines,Savonius turbines employ S-shaped blades and have simple internal structures.Therefore,there is a large space for optimizing the blade geometry.In this study,computational fluid dynamics(CFD)numerical simulation and genetic algorithm(GA)were used for the optimal design.The optimization strategies and methods were determined by comparing the results calculated by CFD with the experimental results.The weighted objective function was constructed with the maximum power coefficient Cp and the high-power coefficient range R under multiple working conditions.GA helps to find the optimal individual of the objective function.Compared the optimal scheme with the initial scheme,the overlap ratioβincreased from 0.2 to 0.202,and the clearance ratioεincreased from 0 to 0.179,the blade circumferential angleγincreased from 0°to 27°,the blade shape extended more towards the spindle.The overall power of Savonius turbines was maintained at a high level over 22%,R also increased from 0.73 to 1.02.In comparison with the initial scheme,the energy loss of the optimal scheme at high blade tip speed is greatly reduced,and this reduction is closely related to the optimization of blade geometry.As R becomes larger,Savonius turbines can adapt to the overall working conditions and meet the needs of its work in low flow rate conditions.The results of this paper can be used as a reference for the hydrodynamic optimization of Savonius turbine runners.Jiahao Lu Fangfang Zhang Weilong Guang Yanzhao Wu Ran Tao Xiaoqin Li Ruofu Xiao 2023Energy Engineering2023,120,12:0
20Heteroheptacene-based acceptors with thieno[3,2-b]pyrrole yield high-performance polymer solar cells显示文摘Rationally utilizing and developing synthetic units is of particular significance for the design of high-performance non-fullerene small-molecule acceptors(SMAs).Here,a thieno[3,2-b]pyrrole synthetic unit was employed to develop a set of SMAs(ThPy1,ThPy2,ThPy3 and ThPy4)by changing the number or the position of the pyrrole ring in the central core based on a standard SMA of IT-4Cl,compared to which the four thieno[3,2-b]pyrrole-based acceptors exhibit bathochromic absorption and upshifted frontier orbital energy level due to the strong electron-donating ability of pyrrole.As a result,the polymer solar cells(PSCs)of the four thieno[3,2-b]pyrrole-based acceptors yield higher open-circuit voltage and lower energy loss relative to those of the IT-4Cl-based device.What is more,the ThPy3-based device achieves a power conversion efficiency(PCE)(15.3%)and an outstanding fill factor(FF)(0.771)that are superior to the IT-4Cl-based device(PCE=12.6%,FF=0.758).The ThPy4-based device realizes the lowest energy loss and the smallest optical band gap,and the ternary PSC device based on PM6:BTP-eC9:ThPy4 exhibits a PCE of 18.43%and a FF of 0.802.Overall,this work sheds light on the great potential of thieno[3,2-b]pyrrole-based SMAs in realizing low energy loss and high PCE.Zhenghui Luo Ruijie Ma Jianwei Yu Heng Liu Tao Liu Fan Ni Jiahao Hu Yang Zou Anping Zeng Chun-Jen Su U-Ser Jeng Xinhui Lu Feng Gao Chuluo Yang He Yan 2022National Science Review2022,9,7:0
