12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 3Multivariate analysis of surface water quality in the Three Gorges area of China and implications for water management显示文摘Multivariate statistical techniques,cluster analysis,non-parametric tests,and factor analysis were applied to analyze a water quality dataset including 13 parameters at 37 sites of the Three Gorges area,China,from 2003–2008 to investigate spatio-temporal variations and identify potential pollution sources.Using cluster analysis,the twelve months of the year were classified into three periods of lowflow (LF),normal-flow (NF),and high-flow (HF);and the 37 monitoring sites were divided into low pollution (LP),moderate pollution (MP),and high pollution (HP).Dissolved oxygen (DO),potassium permanganate index (COD Mn ),and ammonia-nitrogen (NH 4 +-N) were identified as significant variables affecting temporal and spatial variations by non-parametric tests.Factor analysis identified that the major pollutants in the HP region were organic matters and nutrients during NF,heavy metals during LF,and petroleum during HF.In the MP region,the identified pollutants primarily included organic matter and heavy metals year-around,while in the LP region,organic pollution was significant during both NF and HF,and nutrient and heavy metal levels were high during both LF and HF.The main sources of pollution came from domestic wastewater and agricultural activities and runoff;however,they contributed differently to each region in regards to pollution levels.For the HP region,inputs from wastewater treatment plants were significant;but for MP and LP regions,water pollution was more likely from the combined effects of agriculture,domestic wastewater,and chemical industry.These results provide fundamental information for developing better water pollution control strategies for the Three Gorges area.Jian Zhao Guo Fu Kun Lei Yanwu Li 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,9:25
4Assessment and sequencing of air target threat based on intuitionistic fuzzy entropy and dynamic VIKOR显示文摘In view of the fact that traditional air target threat assessment methods are difficult to reflect the combat characteristics of uncertain, dynamic and hybrid formation, an algorithm is proposed to solve the multi-target threat assessment problems. The target attribute weight is calculated by the intuitionistic fuzzy entropy(IFE) algorithm and the time series weight is gained by the Poisson distribution method based on multi-times data. 5Early nasogastric enteral nutrition for severe acute pancreatitis: A systematic review显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of early nasogastric enteral nutrition (NGEN) for patients with severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). METHODS: We searched Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (Issue 2, 2006), Pub-Medline (1966-2006), and references from relevant articles. We included randomized controlled trials (RCTs) only, which reported the mortality of SAP patients at least. Two reviewers assessed the quality of each trial and collected data independently. The Cochrane Collaboration’s RevMan 4.2.9 software was used for statistical analysis. RESULTS: Three RCTs were included, involving 131 patients. The baselines of each trial were comparable. Meta-analysis showed no significant differences in mortality rate of SAP patients between nasogastric and conventional routes (RR = 0.76, 95% CI = 0.37 and 1.55, P = 0.45), and in other outcomes, including time of hospital stay (weighted mean difference = -5.87, 95% CI = -20.58 and 8.84, P = 0.43), complication rate of infection (RR = 1.41, 95% CI = 0.62 and 3.23, P = 0.41) or multiple organ defi ciency syndrome (RR = 0.97, 95% CI = 0.27 and 3.47, P = 0.97), rate of admission to ICU (RR = 1.00, 95% CI = 0.48 and 2.09, P = 0.99) or conversion to surgery (RR = 0.66, 95% CI = 0.12 and 3.69, P = 0.64), as well as recurrence of re-feeding pain and adverse events associated with nutrition. CONCLUSION: Early NGEN is a breakthrough in the management of SAP. Based on current studies, early NGEN appears effective and safe. 6Circular RNA ciRS-7 promotes the proliferation and metastasis of pancreatic cancer by regulating miR-7-mediated EGFR/STAT3 signaling pathway显示文摘Background: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC) is the most deadly type of tumor, and its pathogenesis remains unknown. Circular RNAs(circRNAs) may be functional and bind to micro RNAs and consequently, influence the activity of targeted mRNAs. Recent researches indicate that one circRNA, ciRS-7, acts as a sponge of miR-7 and thus, inhibits its activity. It is well known that miR-7 is a cancer suppressor in many cancers. However, the relationship between ciRS-7 and miR-7, and the role of ciRS-7 in PDAC, remains to be elucidated. Methods: miR-7 and ciRS-7 expression in 41 pairs of PDAC tumors and their paracancerous tissues were detected by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR). The relationships between their expression levels and clinicopathological features in PDAC tissues were assessed. The relationship between miR-7 and ciRS-7 was also assessed by Spearman’s correlation. We also used cell lines to evaluate the role of ciRS-7 in cell line behavior. The ciRS-7 interfere RNA(si RNA) and its empty vector were transfected into PDAC cells. PDAC cells proliferation and invasion abilities were detected by MTT assay and invasion analysis. The expression of proteins was assessed by Western blotting. Results: ciRS-7 expression was significantly higher in PDAC tissues than paracancerous tissues( P = 0.002). However, miR-7 expression showed the opposite trend( P = 0.048). Moreover, ciRS-7 expression was inversely correlated with miR-7 in PDAC( r s =-0.353, P = 0.023). ciRS-7 expression was also significantly elevated in venous invasion(3.72 ± 2.93 vs. 2.14 ± 1.26;P = 0.028) and lymph node metastasis(4.19 ± 2.75 vs. 2.32 ± 1.90;P = 0.016) in PDAC patients. Furthermore, ciRS-7 knockdown suppressed cell proliferation and invasion of PDAC cells( P < 0.05), and the downregulation of ciRS-7 resulted in miR-7 overexpression and subsequent inhibition of epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3). 8Temporal and spatial changes in nutrients and chlorophyll-a in a shallow lake,Lake Chaohu, China: An 11-year investigation显示文摘Temporal and spatial changes of total nitrogen(TN),total phosphorus(TP) and chlorophyll-a(Chl-a) in a shallow lake,Lake Chaohu,China,were investigated using monthly monitoring data from 2001 through 2011.The results showed that the annual mean concentration ranges of TN,TP,and Chl-a were 0.08-14.60 mg/L,0.02-1.08 mg/L,and 0.10-465.90 μg/L,respectively.Our data showed that Lake Chaohu was highly eutrophic and that water quality showed no substantial improvement during 2001 through 2011.The mean concentrations of TP,TN and Chl-a in the western lake were significantly higher than in the eastern lake,which indicates a spatial distribution of the three water parameters.The annual mean ratio of TN:TP by weight ranged from 10 to 20,indicating that phosphorus was the limiting nutrient in this lake.A similar seasonality variation for TP and Chl-a was observed.Riverine TP and NH4+ loading from eight major tributaries were in the range of 1.56 × 104-5.47 × 104 and 0.19 × 104-0.51 × 104 tons/yr over 2002-2011,respectively,and exceeded the water environmental capability of the two nutrients in the lake by a factor of 3-6.Thus reduction of nutrient loading in the sub-watershed and tributaries would be essential for the restoration of Lake Chaohu.Libiao Yang Kun Lei Wei Meng Guo Fu Weijin Yan 2013Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,6:19
9Enhanced bioremediation of oil contaminated soil by graded modified Fenton oxidation显示文摘Graded modified Fenton's (MF) oxidation is a strategy in which H 2 O 2 is added intermittently to prevent a sharp temperature increase and undesired soil sterilization at soil circumneutral pH versus adding the same amount of H 2 O 2 continuously.The primary objective of the present study was to investigate whether a mild MF pre-oxidation such as a stepwise addition of H 2 O 2 can prevent sterilization and achieve a maximum degradation of tank oil in soil.Optimization experiments of graded MF oxidation were conducted using citric acid,oxalic acid and SOLV-X as iron chelators under different frequencies of H 2 O 2 addition.The results indicated that the activity order of iron chelates decreased as:citric acid (51%) > SOLV-X (44%) > oxalic acid (9%),and citric acid was found to be an optimized iron chelating agent of graded MF oxidation.Three-time addition of H 2 O 2 was found to be favorable and economical due to decreasing total petroleum hydrocarbon removal from three time addition (51%) to five time addition (59%).Biological experiments were conducted after graded MF oxidation of tank oil completed under optimum conditions mentioned above.After graded oxidation,substantially higher increase (31%) in microbial activity was observed with excessive H 2 O 2 (1470 mmol/L,the mol ratio of H 2 O 2:Fe 2+ was 210:1) than that of non-oxidized soil.Removal efficiency of tank oil was up to 93% after four weeks.Especially,the oil fraction (C 10 -C 40 ) became more biodagradable after graded MF oxidation than its absence.Therefore,graded MF oxidation is a mild pretreatment to achieve an effective bioremediation of oil contaminated soil.Jinlan Xu Lei Xin Tinglin Huang Kun Chang 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,11:17

11Antioxidant and Anti-inflammatory Capacity of Ferulic Acid Released from Wheat Bran by Solid-state Fermentation of Aspergillus niger显示文摘Objective A strain of Aspergillus niger(A. niger), capable of releasing bound phenolic acids from wheat bran, was isolated. This strain was identified by gene sequence identification. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capacity of ferulic acid released from wheat bran by this A. niger strain(FA-WB) were evaluated. Methods Molecular identification techniques based on PCR analysis of specific genomic sequences were conducted; antioxidant ability was examined using oxygen radical absorbance capacity(ORAC), cellular antioxidant activity(CAA) assays, and erythrocyte hemolysis assays. RAW264.7 cells were used as a model to detect anti-inflammatory activity. Results The filamentous fungal isolate was identified to be A. niger. ORAC and CAA assay showed that FA-WB had better antioxidant activity than that of the ferulic acid standard. The erythrocyte hemolysis assay results suggested that FA-WB could attenuate AAPH-induced oxidative stress through inhibition of reactive oxy gen species(ROS) generation. FA-WB could significantly restore the AAPH-induced increase in intracellular antioxidant enzyme activities to normal levels as well as inhibit the intracellular malondialdehyde formation. TNF-?, IL-6, and NO levels indicated that FA-WB can inhibit the inflammation induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS). 13Extracellular vesicles from human urine-derived stem cells prevent osteoporosis by transferring CTHRC1 and OPG显示文摘Osteoporosis is a debilitating bone disease affecting millions of people. Here, we used human urine-derived stem cells(USCs),which were noninvasively harvested from unlimited and easily available urine, as a 'factory' to obtain extracellular vesicles(USCEVs) and demonstrated that the systemic injection of USC-EVs effectively alleviates bone loss and maintains bone strength in osteoporotic mice by enhancing osteoblastic bone formation and suppressing osteoclastic bone resorption. More importantly, the anti-osteoporotic properties of USC-EVs are not notably disrupted by the age, gender, or health condition(with or without osteoporosis) of the USC donor. Mechanistic studies determined that collagen triple-helix repeat containing 1(CTHRC1) and osteoprotegerin(OPG) proteins are enriched in USC-EVs and required for USC-EV-induced pro-osteogenic and anti-osteoclastic effects. 15Diffusion-tensor imaging as an adjunct to dynamic contrastenhanced MRI for improved accuracy of differential diagnosis between breast ductal carcinoma in situ and invasive breast carcinoma显示文摘Objective:To determine the value of diffusion-tensor imaging(DTI) as an adjunct to dynamic contrastenhanced magnetic resonance imaging(DCE-MRI) for improved accuracy of differential diagnosis between breast ductal carcinoma in situ(DCIS) and invasive breast carcinoma(IBC).Methods:The MRI data of 63 patients pathologically confirmed as breast cancer were analyzed.The conventional MRI analysis metrics included enhancement style,initial enhancement characteristic,maximum slope of increase,time to peak,time signal intensity curve(TIC) pattern,and signal intensity on FST2 WI.The values of apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC),directionally-averaged mean diffusivity(D_(avg)),exponential attenuation(EA),fractional anisotropy(FA),volume ratio(VR) and relative anisotropy(RA)were calculated and compared between DCIS and IBC.Multivariate logistic regression was used to identify independent factors for distinguishing IBC and DCIS.The diagnostic performance of the diagnosis equation was evaluated using the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve.The diagnostic efficacies of DCEMRI,DWI and DTI were compared independendy or combined.Results:EA value,lesion enhancement style and TIC pattern were identified as independent factor for differential diagnosis of IBC and DCIS.The combination diagnosis showed higher diagnostic efficacy than a single use of DCE-MRI(P=0.02),and the area of the curve was improved from 0.84(95%CI,0.67-0.99) to0.94(95%CI,0.85-1.00).Conclusions:Quantitative DTI measurement as an adjunct to DCE-MRI could improve the diagnostic performance of differential diagnosis between DCIS and IBC compared to a single use of DCE-MRI.Yuan Wang Xiaopeng Zhang Kun Cao Yanling Li Xiaoting Li Liping Qi Lei Tang Zhilong Wang Shunyu Gao 2015Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,2:12
16Land-surface processes and summer-cloud-precipitation characteristics in the Tibetan Plateau and their effects on downstream weather:a review and perspective显示文摘Correct understanding of the land-surface processes and cloud-precipitation processes in the Tibetan Plateau(TP)is an important prerequisite for the study and forecast of the downstream activities of weather systems and one of the key points for understanding the global atmospheric movement.In order to show the achievements that have been made,this paper reviews the progress on the observations for the atmospheric boundary layer,land-surface heat fluxes,cloud-precipitation distributions and vertical structures by using ground-and space-based multiplatform,multisensor instruments and the effect of the cloud system in the TP on the downstream weather.The results show that the form drag related to the topography,land-atmosphere momentum and scalar fluxes is an important part of the parameterization process.The sensible heat flux decreased especially in the central and northern TP caused by the decrease in wind speeds and the differences in the ground-air temperatures.Observations show that the cloud and precipitation over the TP have a strong diurnal variation.Studies also show the compressed-air column in the troposphere by the higher-altitude terrain of the TP makes particles inside clouds vary at a shorter distance in the vertical direction than those in the non-plateau area so that precipitation intensity over the TP is usually small with short duration,and the vertical structure of the convective precipitation over the TP is obviously different from that in other regions.In addition,the influence of the TP on severe weather downstream is preliminarily understood from the mechanism.It is necessary to use model simulations and observation techniques to reveal the difference between cloud precipitation in the TP and non-plateau areas in order to understand the cloud microphysical parameters over the TP and the processes of the land boundary layer affecting cloud,precipitation and weather in the downstream regions.Yunfei Fu Yaoming Ma Lei Zhong Yuanjian Yang Xueliang Guo Chenghai Wang Xiaofeng Xu Kun Yang Xiangde Xu Liping Liu Guangzhou Fan Yueqing Li Donghai Wang 2020National Science Review2020,7,3:10
17The positive function of selenium supplementation on reducing nitrate accumulation in hydroponic lettuce(Lactuca sativa L.)显示文摘High nitrate(NO_3^- ) in vegetables, especially in leaf vegetables poses threaten to human health. Selenium(Se) is an important element for maintaining human health, and exogenous Se application during vegetable and crop production is an effective way to prevent Se deficiency in human bodies. Exogenous Se shows positive function on plant growth and nutrition uptake under abiotic and/or biotic stresses. However, the influence of exogenous Se on NO_3^- accumulation in hydroponic vegetables is still not clear. In the present study, hydroponic lettuce plants were subjected to six different concentrations(0, 0.1, 0.5, 5, 10 and 50 μmol L–1) of Se as Na2 Se O3. The effects of Se on NO_3^- content, plant growth, and photosynthetic capacity of lettuce(Lactuca sativa L.) were investigated. The results showed that exogenous Se positively decreased NO_3^- content and this effect was concentration-dependent. The lowest NO_3^- content was obtained under 0.5 μmol L–1 Se treatment. The application of Se enhanced photosynthetic capacity by increasing the photosynthesis rate(Pn), stomatal conductance(Cs) and the transpiration efficiency(Tr) of lettuce. The transportation and assimilation of NO_3^- and activities of nitrogen metabolism enzymes in lettuce were also analysed. The NO_3^- efflux in the lettuce roots was markedly increased, but the efflux of NO_3^- from the root to the shoot was decreased after treated with exogenous Se. Moreover, Se application stimulated NO_3^- assimilation by enhancing nitrate reductase(NR), nitrite reductase(Ni R), glutamine synthetase(GS) and glutamate synthase enzyme(GOGAT) activities. These results provide direct evidence that exogenous Se shows positive function on decreasing NO_3^- accumulation via regulating the transport and enhancing activities of nitrogen metabolism enzyme in lettuce. 19Construction of TiO2/silane nanofilm on AZ31 magnesium alloy for controlled degradability and enhanced biocompatibility显示文摘A TiO2 nanofilm was prepared on the surface of AZ31 magnesium alloy with controllable thickness through atomic layer deposition(ALD) technique, which can adjust the corrosion behaviors of AZ31 Mg alloy.Compared with the untreated Mg alloys, corrosion current densities(icorr)can decline by 58% in the 200-cycles TiO2-covered Mg alloy and further decline by up to 74% with the thickness of nanofilm up to 63 nm(400 cycles).The subsequent modification with a cross-linked conversion layer of 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(APTES) by a dipping method can produce a compact silane coating on TiO2 nanofilm, which can seal pinholes of TiO2 nanofilm and serve as a barrier to further adjust the corrosion behavior of the substrate.The icorrcan decline about two orders of magnitude in the TiO2/silane composite coating.Making the adjustable corrosion rate come true, which can be attributed to the precise control on the thickness of metal oxide nanofilm and additional protection from the compact silane coating.In vitro study discloses that the TiO2/silane hybrid coating shows higher expression of alkaline phosphatase(ALP)and can promote cellular adhesion and proliferation with better cytocompatibility than untreated Mg alloy.Lei Huang Kun Su Yu-Feng Zheng Kelvin Wai-Kwok Yeung Xiang-Mei Liu 2019Rare Metals2019,38,6:9
