2Preparation and properties of low cost porous titanium by using rice husk as hold space显示文摘The present study demonstrates an effective low cost effective process for the production of porous titanium with 50-60 vol% porosity using 20 wt% rice husk(RH) with the hold spaces in the size ranges of 100-180,180-250,250-380,and 380-550 μm.The analysis of the samples revealed an interconnected pore microstructure consisting of a mixture of coarse channel pores,created during burnout of RH.The compressive strength of the developed samples was in the range of 17-70 MPa and depended strongly on their porosity and pore size.Large amounts of cleavage steps appeared on the brittle fracture surface after compression of the samples.The 3D morphology of porous titanium surface with rice husk sizes of 100-180μm and 380-550μm can be characterized by the micro-hole surface of pore size,and the size of the hole diameter and husk.The developed porous titanium is considered potentially useful in future medical or industrial application of biomass.Xinsheng Wang Zhenlin Lu Lei Jia Feizhou Li 2017Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2017,27,3:2
3Isotoosendanin exerts inhibition on triple-negative breast cancer through abrogating TGF-β-induced epithelial—mesenchymal transition via directly targeting TGFβR1显示文摘As the most aggressive breast cancer,triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC) is still incurable and very prone to metastasis.The transform growth factor β(TGF-β)-induced epithelial—mesenchymal transition(EMT) is crucially involved in the growth and metastasis of TNBC.This study reported that a natural compound isotoosendanin(ITSN) reduced TNBC metastasis by inhibiting TGF-β-induced EMT and the formation of invadopodia.ITSN can directly interact with TGF-β receptor type-1(TGFβR1) and abrogated the kinase activity of TGFβR1,thereby blocking the TGF-β-initiated downstream signaling pathway.Moreover,the ITSN-provided inhibition on metastasis obviously disappeared in TGFβR1-overexpressed TNBC cells in vitro as well as in mice bearing TNBC cells overexpressed TGFβR1.Furthermore,Lys232 and Asp351 residues in the kinase domain of TGFβR1 were found to be crucial for the interaction of ITSN with TGFβR1.Additionally,ITSN also improved the inhibitory efficacy of programmed cell death 1 ligand 1(PD-L1) antibody for TNBC in vivo via inhibiting the TGF-β-mediated EMT in the tumor microenvironment.Our findings not only highlight the key role of TGFβR1 in TNBC metastasis,but also provide a leading compound targeting TGFβR1 for the treatment of TNBC metastasis.Moreover,this study also points out a potential strategy for TNBC treatment by using the combined application of anti-PD-L1 with a TGFβR1 inhibitor.Jingnan Zhang Ze Zhang Zhenlin Huang Manlin Li Fan Yang Zeqi Wu Qian Guo Xiyu Mei Bin Lu Changhong Wang Zhengtao Wang Lili Ji 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,7:1
4A multichannel neural signal detecting module:Its design and test in animal experiments显示文摘A four-channel neural signal detecting module with an implantable 12-contact cuff electrode was designed for real-time neural signal recording on peripheral and central nerves. The mathematic coupling model between nerve and electronic system was analyzed. Electrode connection configurations were considered. The detecting circuit included an input coupling network, a pre-amplifier, and some filtering and notching stages. Shield guarding and the right-leg-driven circuit were developed for further elimination of common mode interference. By electrode switches, the module could cooperate with a nerve functional electrical stimulation circuit, building a neural channel bridge-connection system. It was tested by recording experiments on rat’s sciatic and spine nerves. The signals in spontaneous and evoked conditions have been captured successfully. 5A non-ACE2 competing human single-domain antibody confers broad neutralization against SARS-CoV-2 and circulating variants显示文摘The current COVID-19 pandemic has heavily burdened the global public health system and may keep simmering for years.The frequent emergence of immune escape variants have spurred the search for prophylactic vaccines and therapeutic antibodies that confer broad protection against SARS-CoV-2 variants.Here we show that the bivalency of an affinity maturated fully human singledomain antibody(n3113.1-Fc)exhibits exquisite neutralizing potency against SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus,and confers effective prophylactic and therapeutic protection against authentic SARS-CoV-2 in the host cell receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)humanized mice.The crystal structure of n3113 in complex with the receptor-binding domain(RBD)of SARS-CoV-2,combined with the cryo-EM structures of n3113 and spike ecto-domain,reveals that n3113 binds to the side surface of up-state RBD with no competition with ACE2.The binding of n3113 to this novel epitope stabilizes spike in up-state conformations but inhibits SARS-CoV-2 S mediated membrane fusion,expanding our recognition of neutralization by antibodies against SARS-CoV-2.Binding assay and pseudovirus neutralization assay show no evasion of recently prevalent SARS-CoV-2 lineages,including Alpha(B.1.1.7),Beta(B.1.351),Gamma(P.1),and Delta(B.1.617.2)for n3113.1-Fc with Y58L mutation,demonstrating the potential of n3113.1-Fc(Y58L)as a promising candidate for clinical development to treat COVID-19.Zhenlin Yang Yulu Wang Yujia Jin Yuanfei Zhu Yanling Wu Cheng Li Yu Kong Wenping Song Xiaolong Tian Wuqiang Zhan Ailing Huang Shanshan Zhou Shuai Xia Xiaoxu Tian Chao Peng Cuicui Chen Yibing Shi Gaowei Hu Shujuan Du Yuyan Wang Youhua Xie Shibo Jiang Lu Lu Lei Sun Yuanlin Song Tianlei Ying 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,12:1

7Drug discovery of sclerostin inhibitors显示文摘Sclerostin, a protein secreted from osteocytes, negatively regulates the WNT signaling pathway by binding to the LRP5/6 co-receptors and further inhibits bone formation and promotes bone resorption. Sclerostin contributes to musculoskeletal system-related diseases, making it a promising therapeutic target for the treatment of WNT-related bone diseases. Additionally, emerging evidence indicates that sclerostin contributes to the development of cancers, obesity, and diabetes, suggesting that it may be a promising therapeutic target for these diseases. Notably, cardiovascular diseases are related to the protective role of sclerostin. In this review, we summarize three distinct types of inhibitors targeting sclerostin, monoclonal antibodies, aptamers, and small-molecule inhibitors, from which monoclonal antibodies have been developed. As the first-in-class sclerostin inhibitor approved by the U.S. FDA,the monoclonal antibody romosozumab has demonstrated excellent effectiveness in the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis;however, it conferred high cardiovascular risk in clinical trials. Furthermore,romosozumab could only be administered by injection, which may cause compliance issues for patients who prefer oral therapy. 8Suggestion of EFS-small satellite system for impending earthquake forecast显示文摘In the IAF Congress ’92 a multiple small satellite Earth observation system was put forward with sensors of visible and infrared spectrums. The system could shorten the revisiting period so that any place on the world could be observed twice a day Now we extend the idea to the microwave remote sensing satellite system. The main purpose of the system is the impending forecast of earthquakes. According to the theory and long-time concrete practice of Qiang Zuji through the observation of temperature increase of the low layer of atmosphere and its moving trend caused by some sorts of radiation and gases released from Earth interior, an impending strong earthquake could be predicted in time. As the temperature increase is detected by thermo-infrared spectrum sensors on the meteorological satellites. the observation may be sometimes obstructed by cloud or rain. In the suggested system, mm-wave radiometers are used and those obstructions could be generally overcome. Besides, radiometers of some other microwave frequencies are also included so as to make the small satellite system useful for observation of atmosphere. soil and crops. The plattorm construction and the altitude control system of the satellites suitable to the sweeping radiometer antennas are stressfully implemented. 16Meta-Analysis of the Clinical Effect of Acupuncture on Postherpetic Neuralgia显示文摘Objective:To systematically evaluate the safety and efficacy of acupuncture on patients with postherpetic neuralgia.Methods:Based on the heyword retrieval method,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI,1978-2020),China Biomedical Literature database(CBM,1979-2020),VIP database(WEIPU,1989-2020),Wanfang database(1989-2020),Cochrane Library,PubMed,and Embase were searched;randomized controlled trials of the use of acupuncture in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia were screened out;the quality of the included literatures was evaluated based on the evaluation criteria in the Cochrane Handbook,and meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3.Results:Twenty-six literatures that met the criteria,involving 2,174 patients,were included;the meta-analysis showed that compared with western medicine,the use of acupuncture can improve the overall effective rate(RR=1.24,95%CI[1.17,1.32],P<0.00001)and reduce the VAS score(MD=-1.43,95%CI[-1.97,-0.89],P<0.00001).Conclusion:The use of acupuncture can further improve the clinical effect of patients with postherpetic neuralgia.Lu Wang Zhenlin Chen Shuo Zhang Wenjing Ma Tiantian Gao 2022Proceedings of Anticancer Research2022,6,1:0

18Investigations of structural phase transformation and THz properties across metal–insulator transition in VO_2/Al_2O_3epitaxial films显示文摘Vanadium dioxide(VO2) epitaxial thin films on(0001)-oriented Al2O3 substrates were prepared using radio frequency(RF) magnetron sputtering techniques.To study the metal-insulator-transition(MIT) mechanism and extend the applications of VO2 epitaxial films at terahertz(THz) band,temperature-dependent X-ray diffraction(XRD) and THz time domain spectroscopy of the VO2 epitaxial films were performed.Both the lattice constants and THz transmission exhibited a similar and sharp transition that was similar to that observed for the electrical resistance.Consequently,the MIT of the VO2/Al2O3 epitaxial films should be co-triggered by the structural phase transition and electronic transition.Moreover,the very large resistance change(on the order of 103) and THz response(with a transmission modulation ratio of 87%) in the VO2/Al2O3 epitaxial heterostructures are promising for electrical switch and electro-optical device applications.Mengmeng Yang Yuanjun Yang Bin Hong Yi Zhao Xiaoguang Li Yalin Lu Zhenlin Luo Chen Gao 2015Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2015,25,5:0
19Synergistic modulation of spin and fluorescence signals in a nano-Saturn assembled by a metallofullerene and cycloparaphenylene nanohoop显示文摘Spin-based interdisciplinary research has attracted considerable attention,and various applications in magnetic memory,quantum science,and precision measuring technology have been reported.In this study,we induced a fluorescence property in a spin-active molecule by supramolecular assembly and realized a synergistic modulation of its spin and fluorescence properties.A Saturn-shaped supramolecular complex was synthesized using a spin-active metallofullerene Sc_(3)C_(2)@C80 with a fluorescent nanohoop of tetra-benzothiadiazole-based[12]cycloparaphenylene(TB[12]CPP),and its spin and fluorescence properties were comprehensively investigated.Temperature-dependent electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)spectroscopy and fluorescence analyses were conducted.Synchronous changes in the EPR signals and fluorescence peaks were discovered in the temperature range of 170–290 K.Based on nuclear magnetic resonance observations and theoretical calculations,a temperature-dependent host–guest interaction between Sc_(3)C_(2)@C_(80)and a nanohoop was demonstrated,which explained the synchronous changes in the EPR signals and fluorescence peaks for Sc_(3)C_(2)@C_(80)⊂TB[12]CPP.The application of Sc_(3)C_(2)@C_(80)as a molecular spin system to probe the host–guest interaction was also evaluated.These results show that the supramolecular assembly can be used to design advanced spin systems coupled with optical and magnetic behaviors based on paramagnetic and luminescent molecules.Jie Zhang Zhenlin Qiu Chong Zhao Yuxi Lu Wang Li Linshan Liu Chunru Wang Yuanzhi Tan Taishan Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:0
