| 1 | Discovery and Significance of High CH_4 Primary Fluid Inclusions in Reservoir Volcanic Rocks of the Songliao Basin,NE China显示文摘Comparing compositions of the fluid inclusions in volcanic rocks to the contents and isotopes of the gases in corresponding volcanic reservoirs using microthermometry, Raman microspectroscopy and mass spectrum analysis, we found that: (1) up to 82 mole% methane exists in the primary inclusions hosted in the reservoir volcanic rocks; (2) high CH4 inclusions recognized in the volcanic rocks correspond to CH4-bearing CO2 reservoirs that are rich in helium and with a high 3He/4He ratio and which show reversed order of δ 13C in alkane; (3) in gas reservoirs of such abiotic methane (>80%) and a mix of CH4 and CO2, the enclosed content of CH4 in the volcanic inclusions is usually below 42 mole%, and the reversed order of δ 13C in alkane is sometimes irregular in the corresponding gas pools; (4) a glassy inclusion with a homogeneous temperature over 900°C also contains a small portion of CH4 although predominantly CO2. | 3 | Effects of annealing treatment on the microstructure and electrochemical properties of low-Co hydrogen storage alloys containing Cu and Fe显示文摘The effects of annealing treatment on the microstructure and electrochemical properties of low-Co LaNi 3.55 Mn 0.35 Co 0.20 Al 0.20 Cu 0.75 Fe 0.10 hydrogen storage alloys were investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis indicated that annealing treatment remarkably reduced the lattice strain and defects, and increased the unit-cell volume. The optical microscope analysis showed that the as-cast alloy had a crass dendrite microstructure with noticeable composition segregation, which gradually disappeared with increasing annealing temperature, and the micro-structure changed to an equiaxed structure after annealing the alloy at 1233 K. The electrochemical tests indicated that the annealed alloys demonstrated much better cycling stability compared with the as-cast one. The capacity retention at the 100th cycle increased from 90.0% (as-cast) to 94.7% (1273 K). The annealing treatment also improved the discharge capacity. | 5 | Mammalian ALKBH1 serves as an N^6-mA demethylase of unpairing DNA显示文摘N^6-methyladenine(N^6-mA)of DNA is an emerging epigenetic mark in mammalian genome.Levels of N^6-mA undergo drastic fluctuation during early embryogenesis,indicative of active regulation.Here we show that the 2-oxoglutarate-dependent oxygenase ALKBH1 functions as a nuclear eraser of N^6-mA in unpairing regions(e.g.,SIDD,Stress-Induced DNA Double Helix Destabilization regions)of mammalian genomes.Enzymatic profiling studies revealed that ALKBH1 prefers bubbled or bulged DNAs as substrate,instead of single-stranded(ss-)or double-stranded(ds-)DNAs.Structural studies of ALKBH1 revealed an unexpected“stretch-out”conformation of its“Flip1”motif,a conserved element that usually bends over catalytic center to facilitate substrate base flipping in other DNA demethylases.Thus,lack of a bending“Flip1”explains the observed preference of ALKBH1 for unpairing substrates,in which the flipped N^6-mA is primed for catalysis.Co-crystal structural studies of ALKBH1 bound to a 21-mer bulged DNA explained the need of both flanking duplexes and a flipped base for recognition and catalysis.Key elements(e.g.,an ALKBH1-specificα1 helix)as well as residues contributing to structural integrity and catalytic activity were validated by structurebased mutagenesis studies.Furthermore,ssDNA-seq and DIP-seq analyses revealed significant co-occurrence of base unpairing regions with N^6-mA in mouse genome.Collectively,our biochemical,structural and genomic studies suggest that ALKBH1 is an important DNA demethylase that regulates genome N^6-mA turnover of unpairing regions associated with dynamic chromosome regulation. | Min Zhang Shumin Yang Raman Nelakanti Wentao Zhao Gaochao Liu Zheng Li Xiaohui Liu Tao Wu Andrew Xiao Haitao Li | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,3: | 6 |
| 6 | Subaquatic volcanic eruptions in continental facies and their influence on high quality source rocks shown by the volcanic rocks of a faulted depression in Northeast China显示文摘This paper reports the analysis on cores and rock slices,data on seismic and logging activities,characteristics of core samples,and the paleogeographic background of the Yingcheng Formation of the Xujiaweizi faulted depression in the Songliao Basin.The results show that some of the volcanic rocks were formed during subaquatic eruptions.These subaqueous volcanic rocks are further characterized by the interbedded black mudstone and tuffite,the presence of double-layer perlite enclosing aphyric or sparsely phyric rhyolite,the presence of a bentonite layer,and the coefficient of oxidation(Fe2O3/FeO).The types of rocks are volcanic breccia,lava breccias,perlite,rhyolite,tuff and sedimentary tuff.The subaquatic eruptions are distributed mainly in Wangjiatun,Shengping,Xuxi,Xuzhong,and Xudong.The XS-1 area is the most typical.The organic abundance of overburden mud rocks within the volcanic rocks of the Yingcheng Formation indicates that these rocks represent high-quality source rocks.The analysis also shows that continental subaquatic volcanic eruptions provide a rich supply of minerals and energies for the lake basin and increase the organic matter content in the water.Moreover,the water differentiation provides a good reducing environment for the conservation of organic matter,and is beneficial for the formation of high-quality source rocks.Finally,we propose a hypothesis to describe the mode of subaquatic eruptions and the formation of high-quality source rocks. | SHAN XuanLong LI JiYan CHEN ShuMin RAN QingChang CHEN GuiBiao LIU Chao | 2013 | Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,11: | 6 |
| 7 | Synthesis of Mg-based composite material with in-situ formed LaH_3 and its hydrogen storage characteristics显示文摘In this work,a Mg-based composite material with in-situ formed LaH3, Mg_2 NiH_4-LiBH_4 + 20 wt% LaH3,was prepared by ball milling LiBH_4 and hydrogenated LaMg_2 Ni and Mg_2 Ni powder mixture, followed by heat treatment at 573 K. The onset dehydrogenation temperature of the composite is reduced by 50 K compared with that of Mg_2 NiH_4-LiBH_4. The LaH3-doped composite shows faster kinetics,absorbing1.43 wt% hydrogen within 100 s at 423 K,which is 6.5 times faster than Mg_2 NiH_4-LiBH4. Moreover,the composite releases 1.24 wt% hydrogen within 500 s at 573 K,0.69 wt% higher than Mg_2 NiH_4-LiBH_4. The activation energy of the composite is reduced by 8.2 and 80 kJ/mol compared with that of Mg_2 NiH_4-LiBH_4 and commercial MgH_2, respectively. | 11 | Phase structure and hydrogen storage properties of LaMg_(3.70)Ni_(1.18) alloy显示文摘The phase structure and hydrogen storage properties of LaMg 3.70 Ni 1.18 alloy were investigated. The LaMg 3.70 Ni 1.18 alloy consists of main LaMg 2 Ni phase, minor La 2 Mg 17 and LaMg 3 phases. The alloy can be activated in the first hydriding/dehydriding process, and initial LaMg 2 Ni, La 2 Mg 17 , and LaMg 3 phases transfer to LaH 2.34 , Mg, and Mg 2 Ni phases after activation. The reversible hydrogen storage capacity of the LaMg 3.70 Ni 1.18 alloy is 2.47 wt.% at 558 K, which is higher than that of the LaMg 2 Ni alloy. The pressure-composition-temperature (PCT) curves display two hydriding plateaus, corresponding to the formation of MgH 2 and Mg 2 NiH 4 . However, only one dehydriding plateau is observed, owing to the synergetic effect of hydrogen desorption between MgH 2 and Mg 2 NiH 4 . The uptake time for hydrogen content to reach 99% of saturated state is less than 250 s, and 90% hydrogen can be released in 1200 s in the experimental conditions, showing fast kinetics in hydriding and dehydriding. The activation energies of the LaMg 3.70 Ni 1.18 alloy are -51.5 ± 1.1 kJ/mol and -57.0 ± 0.6 kJ/mol for hydriding and dehydriding, respectively. | 12 | Superior electrochemical performance of La-Mg-Ni-based alloys with novel A_(2)B_(7)-A_(7)B_(23) biphase superlattice structure显示文摘Nickel metal hydride(Ni-MH) rechargeable batteries hold an important position in the new-energy vehicle market owing to their key technology advantages. Their negative electrode materials—hydrogen storage alloys(HSAs) are always on the spotlight and are the key to compete with the burgeoning Li-ion batteries. Here, for the first time we report a series of biphase supperlattice HSAs with a(La,Mg)_(2)Ni_7 matrix phase and a novel(La,Mg)_(7)Ni_(23) secondary phase. The biphase alloys show discharge capacities of402–413 m Ahg^(-1) compared with 376–397 mAhg^(-1) of the other multi-or single-phase alloys. These values are among the highest for superlattice HSAs. In addition, the alloy with 15.4 wt.%(La,Mg)_(7)Ni_(23) phase exhibits good high rate dischargeability due to the proper compromise between the amount of crystal boundaries and equilibrium plateau voltage. The cycling stability of the biphase alloys is lower than that of the single-phase alloy but is till higher than the multiphase alloy. | 13 | Rabdosia serra alleviates dextran sulfate sodium salt-induced colitis in mice through anti-inflammation,regulating Th17/Treg balance,maintaining intestinal barrier integrity,and modulating gut microbiota显示文摘Rabdosia serra(R.serra),an important component of Chinese herbal tea,has traditionally been used to treat hepatitis,jaundice,cholecystitis,and colitis.However,the chemical composition of R.serra and its effect against colitis remain unclear.In this study,the chemical composition of the water extract of R.serra was analyzed using ultra performance liquid chromatography coupled with a hybrid linear ion trap quadrupole-orbitrap mass spectrometer(UPLC-LTQ-Orbitrap-MS).A total of 46 compounds,comprising ent-kaurane diterpenoids,flavonoids,phenolic acids,and steroids,were identified in the water extract of R.serra,and the extract could significantly alleviate dextran sulfate sodium salt-induced colitis by improving colon length,upregulating anti-inflammatory factors,downregulating proinflammatory factors,and restoring the balance of T helper 17/T regulatory cells.R.serra also preserved intestinal barrier function by increasing the level of tight junction proteins(zonula occludens 1 and occludin)in mouse colonic tissue.In addition,R.serra modulated the gut microbiota composition by increasing bacterial richness and diversity,increasing the abundance of beneficial bacteria(Muribaculaceae,Bacteroides,Lactobacillus,and Prevotellaceae_UCG-001),and decreasing the abundance of pathogenic bacteria(Turicibacter,Eubacterium_fissicatena_group,and Eubacterium_xylanophilum_group).Gut microbiota depletion by antibiotics further confirmed that R.serra alleviated colitis in a microbiota-dependent manner.Overall,our findings provide chemical and biological evidence for the potential application of R.serra in the management of colitis. | Hongyi Li Yi Wang Shumin Shao Hui Yu Deqin Wang Chuyuan Li Qin Yuan Wen Liu Jiliang Cao Xiaojuan Wang Haibiao Guo Xu Wu Shengpeng Wang | 2022 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2022,12,6: | 4 |
| 14 | Fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5)/PM_(1.0)) in Beijing,China: Variations and chemical compositions as well as sources显示文摘Particulate matter(i.e.,PM_(1.0) and PM_(2.5)),considered as the key atmospheric pollutants,exerts negative effects on visibility,global climate,and human health by associated chemical compositions.However,our understanding of PM and its chemical compositions in Beijing under the current atmospheric environment is still not complete after witnessing marked alleviation during 2013–2017.Continuous measurements can be crucial for further air quality improvement by better characterizing PM pollution and chemical compositions in Beijing.Here,we conducted simultaneous measurements on PM in Beijing during 2018–2019.Results indicate that annualmean PM_(1.0) and PM_(2.5) concentrations were 35.49±18.61μg/m^(3) and 66.58±60.17μg/m^(3),showing a positive response to emission controls.The contribution of sulfate,nitrate,and ammonium(SNA)played an enhanced role with elevated PM loading and acted as the main contributors to pollution episodes.Discrepancies observed among chemical species between PM_(1.0) and PM_(2.5) in spring suggest that sand particles trend to accumulate in the range of 1–2.5μm.Pollution episodes occurred accompanied with southerly clusters and high formation of SNA by heterogeneous reactions in summer and winter,respectively.Results from positive matrix factorization(PMF)combined with potential source contribution function(PSCF)models showed that potential areas were seasonal dependent,secondary and vehicular sources became much more important compared with previous studies in Beijing.Our study presented a continuous investigation on PM and sources origins in Beijing,which provides a better understanding for further emission control as well as a reference for other cities in developing countries. | Lining Luo Xiaoxuan Bai Shuhan Liu Bobo Wu Wei Liu Yunqian Lv Zhihui Guo Shumin Lin Shuang Zhao Yan Hao Jiming Hao Kai Zhang Aihua Zheng Hezhong Tian | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,11: | 3 |

| 16 | Brain-wide Mapping of Mono-synaptic Afferents to Different Cell Types in the Laterodorsal Tegmentum显示文摘The laterodorsal tegmentum(LDT) is a brain structure involved in distinct behaviors including arousal,reward, and innate fear. How environmental stimuli and top-down control from high-order sensory and limbic cortical areas converge and coordinate in this region to modulate diverse behavioral outputs remains unclear.Using a modified rabies virus, we applied monosynaptic retrograde tracing to the whole brain to examine the LDT cell type specific upstream nuclei. The LDT received very strong midbrain and hindbrain afferents and moderate cortical and hypothalamic innervation but weak connections to the thalamus. The main projection neurons from cortical areas were restricted to the limbic lobe, including the ventral orbital cortex(VO), prelimbic, and cingulate cortices. Although different cell populations received qualitatively similar inputs, primarily via afferents from the periaqueductal gray area, superior colliculus, and the LDT itself, parvalbumin-positive(PV?) GABAergic cells received preferential projections from local LDT neurons.With regard to the different subtypes of GABAergic cells, aconsiderable number of nuclei, including those of the ventral tegmental area, central amygdaloid nucleus, and VO, made significantly greater inputs to somatostatinpositive cells than to PV?cells. | 18 | Effect of integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine on Gout显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the curative effect of integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine on gout,and to investigate the therapy timing and exact treatment options of integrated medicine.METHODS:Totally 860 patients were enrolled,including 460 patients with intermittent gout,200 patients with active Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome(TCM syndrome score≥6)and200 patients with stable TCM syndrome(score<6).They were randomly divided into intervention and control groups.The control group was treated according to Western Medicine guidelines.The intervention group was treated with integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine.The efficacy of TCM syndrome,joint pain score,joint swelling score,ESR,C-reactive protein,serum uric acid,liver and kidney function,and the duration of remission of TCM syndrome were compared between the two groups before and after treatments.RESULTS:For the patients with stable TCM syndrome,there was no significant difference in the effective rate and inefficiency between the intervention group and the control group.For the active type,the effective rate of the intervention group is better than the control group significantly.For the stable type,there was no significant difference between the intervention group and the control group in improving the scores of joint pain and swelling,reducing the level of ESR,C-reactive protein,serum uric acid and improving liver and kidney function.For the active type,the differences between the two groups were significant.The stable stage of gout in the intervention group was longer than the control group.CONCLUSION:For the gout patients with stable TCM syndrome in the acute stage of gout,we can use TCM treatment or Western Medicine alternatively;for the patients with active TCM syndrome,the scheme of combination of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine can be applied,with the better curative effect than any medicine alone. | LIU Wei WU Yuanhao XUE Bin JIN Yue ZHANG Shumin LI Peihao XIE Qing WANG Aihua GAO Jingyue CAI Yue ZHANG Bo LIU Xiaoya WANG Yi DUAN Ran | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,5: | 3 |

It is divided into three types by eruptive locations and occurrences of eruptive rocks, including the pattern of eruption along fault and occurrence (PEAFO), the pattern of eruption on footwall of a fault and occurrence (PEOFO) and the pattern of eruption on hangingwall of fault and occurrence (PEOHO) in Xujiaweizi fault depression of Songliao basin, Northeast of China. Those basin filling patterns of volcanic eruptive rocks are of specific geometric characteristics controlling or affecting sedimentation, geometry of sedimentary body and sequence architecture during a sequence evolution.
