2Neuroprotective Autophagic Flux Induced by Hyperbaric Oxygen Preconditioning is Mediated by Cystatin C显示文摘We have previously reported that Cystatin C(CysC) is a pivotal mediator in the neuroprotection induced by hyperbaric oxygen(HBO) preconditioning; however,the underlying mechanism and how CysC changes after stroke are not clear. In the present study, we demonstrated that CysC expression was elevated as early as 3 h after reperfusion, and this was further enhanced by HBO preconditioning. Concurrently, LC3-II and Beclin-1, two positive-markers for autophagy induction, exhibited increases similar to CysC, while knockdown of CysC blocked these elevations. As a marker of autophagy inhibition, p62 was downregulated by HBO preconditioning and this was blocked by CysC knockdown. Besides, the beneficial effects of preserving lysosomal membrane integrity and enhancing autolysosome formation induced by HBO preconditioning were abolished in CysC-/-rats.Furthermore, we demonstrated that exogenous CysC reduced the neurological deficits and infarct volume after brain ischemic injury, while 3-methyladenine partially reversed this neuroprotection. 4Biomarker Records of Phytoplankton Productivity and Community Structure Changes in the Central Yellow Sea Mud Area During the Mid-Late Holocene显示文摘The Yellow Sea(YS)environmental and ecological changes during the Holocene are driven by the interactions between the Yellow Sea Warm Current(YSWC),the East Asian Winter Monsoon(EAWM)and the Kuroshio Current(KC).We report marine biomarker records of brassicasterol,dinosterol and C37 alkenones in core ZY1 and core ZY2 from the South Yellow Sea(SYS)to reconstruct the spatial/temporal variations and possible mechanisms of phytoplankton primary productivity and community structure changes during the Mid-late Holocene.The contents of the corresponding biomarkers in the two cores are similar,and they also reveal broadly similar temporal trends.From 6 kyr to 3 kyr,the biomarker contents in the two cores were relatively low with small oscillations,followed by a distinct increase at about 3 kyr indicating productivity increases caused by a stronger EAWM.The alkenone/brassicasterol ratio(A/B)is used as a community structure proxy,which also showed higher values in both cores since 3 kyr,indicating increased haptophyte contribution to total productivity.It is proposed that the YS community structure has been mainly influenced by the YSWC,with stronger YSWC influences causing an increase in haptophyte contribution since 3 kyr.Some differences of the biomarker records between ZY2 and ZY1 suggest spatial variations in response to YSWC and KC forcing.When the KC was intensified during the periods of 6 4.2 kyr and 1.7 0 kyr,the YSWC extended eastward,exerting more influence on core ZY1.On the other hand,when the KC weakened during 4.2 1.7 kyr,the YSWC extended westward,exerting more influence on the ZY2.ZHAO Xiaochen TAO Shuqin ZHANG Rongping ZHANG Hailong YANG Zuosheng ZHAO Meixun 2013Journal of Ocean University of China2013,12,4:11
5Heterotic Group Classification of 63 Inbred Lines and Hybrid Purity Identification by Using SSR Markers in Winter Cabbage(Brassica Oleracea L. var. capitata)显示文摘Winter cabbage is an important crop cultivated through winter in the region near the Yangtze River, enabling the supply of fresh cabbage there at that time of year. However, a problem has emerged regarding the newly developed parents of winter cabbage, which is completely different from spring and autumn cabbage, namely, how to combine these parents to breed an elite hybrid. To classify the heterotic groups and improve the efficiency of parent selection in winter cabbage breeding, 20 polymorphic SSR markers were selected to screen 63 winter cabbage inbred lines. Seventeen pairs among the 20 SSR markers amplified polymorphic bands. These primers amplified two to six bands,with an average of 2.8 bands per primer, and a total of 47 polymorphic bands were generated in the 63 inbred lines. These lines included flatheaded morphotype and round-headed morphotype, thus they were separately classified into heterotic groups based on the SSR markers. The flat-headed morphotype contained 21 inbred lines and was classified into three heterotic groups, named Hanchun 4, Jiali, and Dongsheng, in accordance with the representative germplasm contained in each group. The round-headed morphotype contained 42 inbred lines and was classified into five heterotic groups, named Parte, Bejo1039, YK-143, SCA002, and Golden B90. Meanwhile, parent analysis of 20 developed elite combinations showed that their parents were all distributed in different heterotic groups, indicating that the group classification was reasonable,which can provide a basis for further parent selection in winter cabbage breeding. 6AN INTEGRATED COUPLING ELEMENT FOR VEHICLE-RAIL-BRIDGE INTERACTION SYSTEM WITH A NON-UNIFORM CONTINUOUS BRIDGE显示文摘An integrated coupling element considering wheel-rail interface for analyzing the dynamic responses of vehicle-rail-bridge interaction system with a non-uniform continuous bridge is presented. The governing equations of the interaction system are established first, and the solution procedure and assembly method of the coupling element are demonstrated. Finally, the accuracy, efficiency and function of the integrated coupling element are tested using two numerical examples. 8Mechanism of low thermal conductivity of xonotlite-silica aerogel nanoporous super insulation material显示文摘In an effort to incorporate the low thermal conductivity of the silica aerogel and the superior structure strength of the xonotlite,a composite material of these two was produced. It was synthesized under vacuum condition and dried by supercritical drying technique. The thermal conductivity of the new material,which is at 298K with the gas pressure ranging from 1.01×105 to 1×10-2Pa,was measured using the transient hot-strip method. The mechanism of the low thermal conductivity was studied. The re-sults indicate that the low thermal conductivity mainly results from the significant decrease of gaseous thermal conductivity of the new material due to the restriction of the motion of gas molecules in its fine structures. 9Utilization of Ogura CMS germplasm with the clubroot resistance gene by fertility restoration and cytoplasm replacement in Brassica oleracea L显示文摘Clubroot disease,a major plant root disease caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae,has become one of the most destructive diseases among cultivated cruciferous vegetables.However,clubroot-resistant Brassica oleracea materials are rare.A few clubroot-resistant cabbage varieties are available on the market,but all are Ogura cytoplasmic male sterile(CMS)types.Therefore,in this study,to reutilize the clubroot-resistant Ogura CMS germplasm of cabbage,a new fertility-restored Ogura CMS material,16Q2-11,was used as a bridge to transfer the clubroot resistance(CR)gene from the Ogura CMS cytoplasm to the normal cytoplasm by a two-step method(a fertility restoration and cytoplasm replacement method).In the first cross for fertility restoration of Ogura CMS clubroot-resistant cabbage(FRCRC),16Q2-11 was used as a restorer to cross with Ogura CMS materials containing the CR gene CRb2.Eleven Rfo-positive progenies were generated,of which four contained CRb2:F8-514,F8-620,F8-732 and F8-839.After inoculation with race 4 of P.brassicae,these four CRb2-positive individuals showed resistance.Furthermore,F8-514 and F8-839 were then used as male parents in the second cross of FRCRC to cross with cabbage inbred lines,resulting in the successful introgression of the CRb2 gene into the inbred lines.All offspring produced from this step of cross,which had a normal cytoplasm,showed a high resistance to race 4 of P.brassicae and could be utilized for the breeding of clubrootresistant cabbage varieties in the future.This is the first time that the Ogura CMS restorer has been used to restore the fertility of Ogura CMS clubroot-resistant cabbages,which could improve germplasm diversity in cabbage and provide a reference method for using CMS germplasm in Brassica crops.Wenjing Ren Zhiyuan Li Fengqing Han Bin Zhang Xing Li Zhiyuan Fang Limei Yang Mu Zhuang Honghao Lv Yumei Liu Yong Wang Hailong Yu Yangyong Zhang 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:7
10Work-family conflict and job burn-out among Chinese doctors:the mediating role of coping styles显示文摘Background Burn-out among doctors threatens their own health, and that of their patients. To identify risk factors of the doctor burn-out is vital to improving their health and increasing the quality of healthcare services.This study aims to explore the relationship between workfamily conflict(WFC) and burn-out among Chinese doctors and the mediating role of coping styles in this relationship.Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted in China, with a questionnaire packet which consisted of the Chinese Maslach Burnout Inventory(CMBI), WFC Scale and the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ). A total of 2530 doctors participated in the survey. Correlation analysis was performed to explore the relationship between CMBI, WFC and SCSQ scores. A linear regression model was set to determine the mediating role of coping styles on the relationship between WFC and burn-out.Results Doctors who had higher scores on work interfering with family conflict, reported more emotional exhaustion(r=0.514, P<0.001) and had a sense of accomplishment(r=-0.149, P<0.001). Simultaneously,family interfering with work(FIW) was positively associated with all dimensions of burn-out(r=0.213,0.504,0.088,respectively, P<0.001). Coping styles had partial, complete and even mediating effects on the relationship between WFC and burn-out among Chinese doctors.Conclusions WFC was correlated with burn-out, and coping style was a mediator in this relationship among Chinese doctors. Taking r in Henon equation as a bi- furcation parameter, the D4-Σd(D4-Σ1, D4-Σ2) symmetry-breaking bifurcation points on the branch of the D4 symmetric positive solutions are found via the extended systems. 13Biomarker evidence for changes in terrestrial organic matter input into the Yellow Sea mud area during the Holocene显示文摘We present lipid biomarker records of two cores(ZY1 and ZY3) from the central South Yellow Sea mud area to investigate the changes in sources and transport processes of the sedimentary organic matter(OM) throughout the Holocene. Based on the analysis of marine biomarker content(SPB(Phytoplankton Biomarker, total content of brassicasterol, dinosterol and C_(37)-alkenones) and crenarchaeol), and terrestrial biomarkers(Sn-alkanols and br GDGTs) as well as TMBR′ and BIT index values, the marine organic matter(MOM) and terrestrial organic matter(TOM) deposition history was reconstructed. Changes in TOM and MOM were related to variations in land vegetation density and marine productivity, as well as transport processes dominated by the oceanic circulation system. The marine biomarker contents from the South Yellow Sea have generally increased throughout the Holocene, indicating that the increased MOM contents were mainly controlled by the strengthening of the circulation system. The terrestrial biomarkers, on the other hand, were more variable, indicating more complex influence of TOM burial in the Yellow Sea. During the Early Holocene(7200–6000 cal yr BP), the moderate TOM input revealed by the terrestrial proxy records may result from abundant land source supply by strong river transport despite the lack of transport via circulation system. The Mid-Holocene(6000–3000 cal yr BP) was characterized by decreased terrestrial biomarker contents. The balance between the decrease in land source supply and increase of transportation by the current system of the TOM resulted in the lower but stable contents of TOM. 14Studies on Lung Cancer Angiogenesis-Application of Interventional Therapy (A Report of 56 Cases)显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate the significance of angiogenesis of lung cancer, in order to provide a scientific basis for interventional therapy. METHODS Double-phase enhancementscanning spiral CT and DSA were performed in 56 pathologically confi rmed lung cancer cases, in order to evaluate angiogenesis of the tumors. The patients included 36 males and 20 females, with ages ranging from 33 to 76 years (average of 53). Assessments and indexes for SCT and DSA examinations were as follows: a) Peak value (PV) of the cancerous focus was the difference between the maximum CT value after enhancement and the CT value of a plain scan; b) The abnormally distorted and expanded new vessels of the cancerous focus which could be macroscopically discriminated; c) DSA staining of the focus of cancer was sparse, grid-like and dense. Chemotherapy and embolotherapy via the bronchial artery (interventional therapy) were conducted. Radiotherapy was added for some of the solid tumors with a diameter exceeding 4 cm. RESULTS a) There were 25 cases with a central-type lesion, among which 4 were small cell lung cancers (SCLC) and 21 non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLC). The cases with a peripheral location accounted for 31 of the total, with a maximum diameter of 1.5 to 13.5 cm and a median of 4.2 cm, including 5 small cell lung cancers and 26 NSCLC cases. b) The reinforced PVs of the cancerous foci were as follows: The PV ranged from 45 to 70 Hu in 34 cases, 25 to 45 Hu in 19, and 10 to 25 Hu in 3. Sparse DSA staining occurred in 3 cases, there was uneven grid-like staining in 22 and dense staining in 31; c) The interventional therapy via the bronchial artery was con-ducted twice in 5 cases with the SCLC, and three times in 4 SCLC cases. For 3 of the latter cases, a dose of 5,000 to 7,000 cGy radiation therapy was added during the interventional treatment. Complete remissions (CR) were seen in 88.9% of the cases (8/9) and partial remission (PR) in 11.1% (1/9). Interventional therapy was conducted twice in 8 cases with NSCLC and three times in 30 with NSCLC and four times in 9 cases. Among the total cases, 13 received radiotherapy during interventional therapy, with a radiation dose of 5,000-7,000 cGy; The CR rate was 78.7% (37/47), PR was 14.9% (7/47) and the rate of non-remission was 6.4% (3/47). CONCLUSION Using imaging technology, analysis of angiogenesis of lung cancers was employed to accurately detect and quantify angiogenesis. This analysis was combined for interventional therapy, using embolizing agents and large doses of the anti-tumor drugs and angiogenesis inhibitors. 15Freeform OST-HMD system with large exit pupil diameter and vision correction capability显示文摘Compactness and light weight,large exit pupil diameter and distance,small distortion for virtual image,and see-through light paths are pivotal factors to achieve a better,wearable experience of optical see-through headmounted displays(OST-HMDs).In addition,light efficiency of the virtual image light path is an important factor for heat dissipation in HMD devices.This paper presents a new type of OST-HMD optical system that includes three wedge-shaped freeform prisms and two symmetric lenses.Based on a 0.71 in.microdisplay,an OST-HMD prototype with a diagonal field of view(FOV)of 45.3°,an F-number(F/#)of 1.8,an exit pupil size of 12 mm×8 mm,and an eye relief of 18 mm is demonstrated.The maximum value of distortion of the final system is 0.6%and 0.4%for virtual image and see-through light path,respectively.The overall dimension of the optical system per eye is no larger than 30 mm(width)×40 mm(height)×14 mm(thickness),and the weight of the optical module including lenses,holder,and microdisplay is 12.8 g.The light efficiency of the virtual image light path is up to 50%higher than those of other OST-HMD optical solutions.DEWEN CHENG JIAXI DUAN HAILONG CHEN HE WANG DANYANG LI QIWEI WANG QICHAO HOU TONG YANG WEIHONG HOU DONGHUA WANG XIAOYU CHI BIN JIANG YONGTIAN WANG 2022Photonics Research2022,10,1:5
16Lateral Hypothalamic Area Glutamatergic Neurons and Their Projections to the Lateral Habenula Modulate the Anesthetic Potency of Isoflurane in Mice显示文摘The lateral hypothalamic area(LHA)plays a pivotal role in regulating consciousness transition,in which orexinergic neurons,GABAergic neurons,and melanin-concentrating hormone neurons are involved.Glutamatergic neurons have a large population in the LHA,but their anesthesia-related effect has not been explored.Here,we found that genetic ablation of LHA glutamatergic neurons shortened the induction time and prolonged the recovery time of isoflurane anesthesia in mice.In contrast,chemogenetic activation of LHA glutamatergic neurons increased the time to anesthesia and decreased the time to recovery.Optogenetic activation of LHA glutamatergic neurons during the maintenance of anesthesia reduced the burst suppression pattern of the electroencephalogram(EEG)and shifted EEG features to an arousal pattern.Photostimulation of LHA glutamatergic projections to the lateral habenula(LHb)also facilitated the emergence from anesthesia and the transition of anesthesia depth to a lighter level.Collectively,LHA glutamatergic neurons and their projections to the LHb regulate anesthetic potency and EEG features.Shiyi Zhao Rui Li Huiming Li Sa Wang Xinxin Zhang Dan Wang Juan Guo Huihui Li Ao Li Tingting Tong Haixing Zhong Qianzi Yang Hailong Dong 2021Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,7:5
17Chromatographic fingerprinting and quantitative analysis for the quality evaluation of Xinkeshu tablet显示文摘A simple, sensitive and accurate method based on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with diode array detector (DAD) was developed and validated for systematic quality evaluation of one type of traditional Chinese medicine preparations named Xinkeshu (XKS) tablet. In this study, the chromatographic fingerprints of XKS tablet were developed first, 23 peaks were selected as the common peaks to evaluate the similarities among different batches of XKS samples, which were manufactured in a long time span of three years. Additionally, simultaneous quantification of six markers in XKS tablet, including Danshensu, Protocatechuic aldehyde, Puerarin, Daidzin, Salvianolic acid B and Daidzein, was performed. The validation results showed that the developed method was specific, accurate, precise and robust. The preliminary explanation on why a close similarity between fingerprints did not exactly mean similar contents of chemical components in samples was given. The contribution of each chromatographic peak to similarity was also evaluated. 18Upwelling and anthropogenic forcing on phytoplankton productivity and community structure changes in the Zhejiang coastal area over the last 100 years显示文摘Phytoplankton productivity and community structure in marginal seas have been altered significantly during the past three decades, but it is still a challenge to distinguish the forcing mechanisms between climate change and anthropogenic activities. High time-resolution biomarker records of two 210Pb-dated sediment cores(#34: 28.5°N, 122.272°E; CJ12-1269: 28.861 9°N, 122.515 3°E) from the Min-Zhe coastal mud area were compared to reveal changes of phytoplankton productivity and community structure over the past 100 years. Phytoplankton productivity started to increase gradually from the 1970 s and increased rapidly after the late 1990 s at Site #34; and it started to increase gradually from the middle 1960 s and increased rapidly after the late 1980 s at Site CJ12-1269. Productivity of Core CJ12-1269 was higher than that of Core #34. Phytoplankton community structure variations displayed opposite patterns in the two cores. The decreasing D/B(dinosterol/brassicasterol) ratio of Core #34 since the 1960 s revealed increased diatom contribution to total productivity. In contrast, the increasing D/B ratio of Core CJ12-1269 since the 1950 s indicated increased dinoflagellate contribution to total productivity. Both the productivity increase and the increased dinoflagellate contribution in Core CJ12-1269 since the 1950–1960s were mainly caused by anthropogenic activities, as the location was closer to the Changjiang River Estuary with higher nutrient concentration and decreasing Si/N ratios. 19Ca^(2+) and OH^- release of ceramsites containing anorthite and gehlenite prepared from waste lime mud显示文摘Lime mud is a kind of solid waste in the papermaking industry,which has been a source of serious environmental pollution.Ceramsites containing anorthite and gehlenite were prepared from lime mud and fly ash through the solid state reaction method at 1050°C.The objective of this study was to explore the efficiency of Ca^(2+) and OH-release and assess the phosphorus and copper ion removal performance of the ceramsites via batch experiments,X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The results show that Ca^(2+) and OH-were released from the ceramsites due to the dissolution of anorthite,gehlenite and available lime.It is also concluded that gehlenite had stronger capacity for Ca^(2+) and OH-release compared with anorthite.The Ca^(2+) release could be fit well by the Avrami kinetic model.Increases of porosity,dosage and temperature were associated with increases in the concentrations of Ca^(2+) and OH-released.Under different conditions,the ceramsites could maintain aqueous solutions in alkaline conditions(p H = 9.3–10.9) and the release of Ca^(2+) was not affected.The removal rates of phosphorus and copper ions were as high as 96.88% and 96.81%,respectively.The final p H values of both phosphorus and copper ions solutions changed slightly.The reuse of lime mud in the form of ceramsites is an effective strategy.Juan Qin Chuanmeng Yang Chong Cui Jiantao Huang Ahmad Hussain Hailong Ma 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,9:5
