| 1 | Thermal Shock-Activated Spontaneous Growing of Nanosheets for Overall Water Splitting显示文摘Nanomaterials based on nickel foam(NF) have been widely applied in energy conversion and storage field.Traditional synthesis methods such as hydrothermal method which is dangerous and high cost limited the scalable developments.Herein,we report a fast,simple,and low-cost synthesis method of nanomaterials based on NF by Joule-heating and water soaking treatment.Thin carbon-coated CoS on NF(NF-C/CoS) was synthesized by Joule-heating for a few seconds with rapid cooling.And then,NF-C/CoS/NiOOH with core-shell heterostructure was fabricated by soaking treatment of NF-C/CoS in water on which NiOOH nanosheets grew spontaneously.The formation mechanism is proposed that the coordination complex precursor converts into C/CoS on NF driven by Joule-heating,and the nickel on the surface of NF is activated to form metastable nickel simultaneously.The metastable nickel reacting with water leads to the formation of NiOOH,and the induction of CoS makes NiOOH grow continuously.This synthesis technology provides a new route to manufacture NF-based nanostructures,and the as-fabricated NF-C/CoS/NiOOH exhibits great potential as electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction and hydrogen evolution reaction. | Han Wu Qi Lu Jinfeng Zhang Jiajun Wang Xiaopeng Han Naiqin Zhao Wenbin Hu Jiajun Li Yanan Chen Yida Deng | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,11: | 6 |
| 2 | Autotoxicity of Phthalate Esters in Tobacco Root Exudates:Effects on Seed Germination and Seedling Growth显示文摘Autotoxicity is one of the major factors that impede continuous cropping.It is defined as the toxic influence of chemicals released from one plant species on the germination and growth of individuals of the same species.Here, in order to exam the autotoxicity of tobacco root exudates, root exudates were collected from tobacco plants grown both in cultural solution and on natural soil.Using ultraperformance liquid chromatography coupled with triple-quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry, main autotoxic chemical substances in the root exudates were identified.The autotoxic effects of suspected autotoxins on seed germination(including germination rate,germination potential, germination index, and vigor index) and seedling growth were analyzed.Dibutyl phthalate(or diisobutyl phthalate), dioctyl phthalate, and diisooctyl phthalate were identified in tobacco root exudates.It was observed that high concentrations(greater than 0.5 mmol L^(-1)) of each identified phthalate ester caused significant(P < 0.05) inhibition of tobacco seed germination and seedling growth.It can be concluded that phthalate esters such as dibutyl phthalate, diisobutyl phthalate, and diisooctyl phthalate in tobacco root exudates may play an important role in tobacco autotoxicity. | DENG Jiajun ZHANG Yanling HU Jiwei JIAO Jiaguo HU Feng LI Huixin ZHANG Shixiang | 2017 | Pedosphere2017,27,6: | 5 |

| 7 | Chromobox homolog 4 overexpression inhibits TNF-α-induced matrix catabolism and senescence by suppressing activation of NF-κB signaling pathway in nucleus pulposus cells显示文摘Intervertebral disc degeneration(IDD)is featured as enhanced catabolism of extracellular matrix(ECM)in the nucleus pulposus(NP),in which tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)-related cell senescence is involved.Chromobox homolog protein 4(CBX4)exhibits anti-inflammatory effects and shows promising therapeutic potential.Thus,in the present study,we explore the role of CBX4 in IDD.Immunohistochemistry staining reveals that CBX4 expression is decreased in severe degenerative NP tissues compared to mild degenerative tissues,and real-time PCR and western blot analysis results show that CBX4 expression is downregulated under TNF-αstimulation in NP cells.siRNA and adenoviruses are used to knockdown or overexpress CBX4,respectively.The results demonstrate that CBX4 knockdown augments the catabolism of ECM in human NP cells,while CBX4 overexpression in rat NP cells restores the ECM degradation induced by TNF-α,as illustrated by immunofluorescence and western blot analysis.In addition,transcriptome sequencing results reveal the regulatory effect of CBX4 on the cell cycle,and further western blot analysis and senescence-associatedβ-galactosidase staining assay indicate that CBX4 overexpression alleviates cell senescence in the presence of TNF-α.Moreover,the phosphorylation of p65,which indicates the activation of NF-κB signaling,is measured by western blot analysis and immunofluorescence assay,and the results reveal that CBX4 overexpression reduces the TNF-α-induced increase in the p-p65/p65 ratio.In addition,the effect of CBX4 overexpression in NP cells is suppressed by NF-κB agonist.In summary,our results indicate that CBX4 overexpression can suppress TNF-α-induced matrix catabolism and cell senescence in the NP by inhibiting NF-κB activation.This study may provide new approaches for preventing and treating IDD. | Yangyang Zhang Shuangxing Li Junmin Hong Jiansen Yan Zhengqi Huang Jiajun Wu Zhihuai Deng Tianyu Qin Kang Xu Wei Ye | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,7: | 2 |

To construct a STED microscope, it is challenging to realize temporal synchronization between the excitation pulses and the depletion pulses. In this study, we present a simple and low-cost method to achieve pulse synchronization by using a condensed fluorescent dye as a depletion indicator. By using this method, almost all the confocal microscopes can be upgraded to a STED system without losing its original functions. | 15 | Selective electrocatalytic reduction of CO_(2) to formate via carbon-shell-encapsulated In_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles/graphene nanohybrids显示文摘Constructing nanohybrids with a synergistic effect using multi-components and specific micro/nanostructures can significantly enhance their electrocatalytic activity.In this work,we fabricated an In_(2)O_(3)■NC@GO nanohybrid,in which In_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles(NPs)were encapsulated by an N-doped carbon(NC)shell and supported on graphene.The multi-components in In_(2)O_(3)■NC@GO synergistically optimize the structural and electronic properties of the material.The particle size and dispersion of In_(2)O_(3)NPs were optimized owing to the separation effect of the amorphous NC shell and graphene support.This separation effect exposes more number of active sites for the electrochemical reaction.Abundant oxygen vacancies exist in In_(2)O_(3),leading to a stronger ability for the adsorption and activation of CO.The NC shell inhibits the direct contact between the electrolyte and In_(2)O_(3),which significantly suppresses competitive Hevolution.The charge transfer during the electrocatalysis process is also effectively enhanced due to the carbon components.The synergistic effect of multi-components in the In_(2)O_(3)■NC@GO sample results in a significantly improved COreduction reaction performance with a high HCOOFaradic efficiency(FE)of 91.2%and a current density of 40.38 m A cmat–0.8 V obtained using a flow cell.The present work demonstrates that rationally designing nanohybrids with multifunctional components is an effective strategy for optimizing the structural and electrocatalytic properties of materials for energy conversion. | Yidu Wang Jingnan Ding Jun Zhao Jiajun Wang Xiaopeng Han Yida Deng Wenbin Hu | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,26: | 1 |

| 18 | Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 19 | Bidirectional rectifier with gate voltage control based on Bi_(2)O_(2)Se/WSe_(2)heterojunction显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)WSe_(2)has received increasing attention due to its unique optical properties and bipolar behavior.Several WSe_(2)-based heterojunctions exhibit bidirectional rectification characteristics,but most devices have a lower rectification ratio.In this work,the Bi_(2)O_(2)Se/WSe_(2)heterojunction prepared by us has a typeⅡband alignment,which can vastly suppress the channel current through the interface barrier so that the Bi_(2)O_(2)Se/WSe_(2)heterojunction device has a large rectification ratio of about 10^(5).Meanwhile,under different gate voltage modulation,the current on/off ratio of the device changes by nearly five orders of magnitude,and the maximum current on/off ratio is expected to be achieved 106.The photocurrent measurement reveals the behavior of recombination and space charge confinement,further verifying the bidirectional rectification behavior of heterojunctions,and it also exhibits excellent performance in light response.In the future,Bi_(2)O_(2)Se/WSe_(2)heterojunction field-effect transistors have great potential to reduce the volume of integrated circuits as a bidirectional controlled switching device. | Ruonan Li Fangchao Lu Jiajun Deng Xingqiu Fu Wenjie Wang He Tian | 2024 | Journal of Semiconductors2024,45,1: | 0 |
| 20 | The cytotoxicity of oxidized multi-walled carbon nanotubes on macrophages显示文摘Carbon nanotubes(CNTs) have been developed for medical and biotechnological applications in the past decades. Their widespread applications make it important to understand their potential hazards to human and the environment. In this study, the possible toxicological effects of the oxidized multi-walled carbon nanotubes(O-MWCNTs) were assessed on RAW 264.7 macrophages in vitro. Several toxicological endpoints, such as cell viability, the release of LDH and IL-8, GSH/GSSG ratio, intracellular calcium concentration and ultrastructural changes in cell morphology, were carried out. The results showed that O-MWCNTs had very limited effects on oxidative stress, cellular toxicity and apoptosis. Transmission electron microscope clearly demonstrates RAW 264.7 macrophages engulfed plenty of O-MWCNTs, and some of them resided in the cytoplasm, while the morphology was not altered by O-MWCNTs. As the control, the pristine MWCNTs(p-MWCNTs) show higher cytotoxicity than O-MWCNTs, damaging cell viability and inducing cell apoptosis.
