1Exploring atmospheric free-radical chemistry in China:the self-cleansing capacity and the formation of secondary air pollution显示文摘Since 1971,it has been known that the atmospheric free radicals play a pivotal role in maintaining the oxidizing power of the troposphere.The existence of the oxidizing power is an important feature of the troposphere to remove primary air pollutants emitted from human beings as well as those from the biosphere.Nevertheless,serious secondary air-pollution incidents can take place due to fast oxidation of the primary pollutants.Elucidating the atmospheric free-radical chemistry is a demanding task in the field of atmospheric chemistry worldwide,which includes two kinds of work:first,the setup of reliable radical detection systems;second,integrated field studies that enable closure studies on the sources and sinks of targeted radicals such as OH and NO3.In this review,we try to review the Chinese efforts to explore the atmospheric free-radical chemistry in such chemical complex environments and the possible link of this fast gas-phase oxidation with the fast formation of secondary air pollution in the city-cluster areas in China.Keding Lu Song Guo Zhaofeng Tan Haichao Wang Dongjie Shang Yuhan Liu Xin Li Zhijun Wu Min Hu Yuanhang Zhang 2019National Science Review2019,6,3:26

4Effects of miR-101-3p on goat granulosa cells in vitro and ovarian development in vivo via STC1显示文摘Background:MiRNAs act as pivotal post-transcriptional gene mediators in the regulation of diverse biological processes,including proliferation,development and apoptosis.Our previous study has showed that miR-101-3p is differentially expressed in dairy goat ovaries compared single with multiple litters.The objective of this research was to explore the potential function and molecular mechanism of miR-101-3p via its target STC1 in goat ovarian growth and development.Results:cDNA libraries were constructed using goat granulosa cells transfected with miR-101-3p mimics and negative control by RNA-sequencing.In total,142 differentially expressed unigenes(DEGs)were detected between two libraries,including 78 down-regulated and 64 up-regulated genes.GO and KEGG enrichment analysis showed the potential impacts of DEGs on ovarian development.STC1 was singled out from DEGs for further research owing to it regulates reproductive-related processes.In vitro,bioinformatics analysis and 3′-UTR assays confirmed that STC1 was a target of miR-101-3p.ELISA was performed to detect the estrogen(E2)and progesterone(P4)levels.CCK8,EdU and flow cytometry assays were performed to detect the proliferation and apoptosis of granulosa cells.Results showed that miR-101-3p regulated STAR,CYP19A1,CYP11A1 and 3β-HSD steroid hormone synthesis-associated genes by STC1 depletion,thus promoted E2 and P4 secretions.MiR-101-3p also affected the key protein PI3K,PTEN,AKT and mTOR in PI3K-AKT pathway by STC1,thereby suppressing proliferation and promoting apoptosis of granulosa cells.In vivo,the distribution and expression levels of miR-101-3p in mouse ovaries were determined through fluorescence in situ hybridisation(FISH).Immunohistochemistry results showed that STC1 expression was suppressed in mouse ovaries in miR-101-3p-agonist and siRNA-STC1 groups.Small and stunted ovarian fragments,decreased numbers of follicles at diverse stages were observed using Hematoxylin-eosin(HE)staining,thereby showing unusual ovarian development after miR-101-3p overexpression or STC1 depletion.Inhibition of miR-101-3p manifested opposite results.Conclusions:Taken together,our results demonstrated a regulatory mechanism of miR-101-3p via STC1 in goat granulosa cells,and offered the first in vivo example of miR-101-3p and STC1 functions required for ovarian development.Xiaopeng An Haidong Ma Yuhan Liu Fu Li Yuxuan Song Guang Li Yueyu Bai Binyun Cao 2021Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2021,12,2:2

6Graphitic carbon nitride-based photocatalysts in the applications of environmental catalysis显示文摘Semiconductor photocatalytic technology has shown great prospects in converting solar energy into chemical energy to mitigate energy crisis and solve environmental pollution problems.The key issue is the development of high-efficiency photocatalysts.Various strategies in the state-of-the-art advancements,such as heterostructure construction,heteroatom doping,metal/single atom loading,and defect engineering,have been presented for the graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3N4)-based nanocomposite catalysts to design their surface chemical environments and internal electronic structures to make them more suitable for different photocatalytic applications.In this review,nanoarchitecture design,synthesis methods,photochemical properties,potential photocatalytic applications,and related reaction mechanisms of the modified high-efficiency carbon nitride-based photocatalysts were briefly summarized.The superior photocatalytic performance was identified to be associated with the enhanced visible-light response,fast photoinduced electron-hole separation,efficient charge migration,and increased unsaturated active sites.Moreover,the further advance of the visible-light harvesting and solar-to-energy conversions are proposed.Hongxia Lin JinmoWu Fan Zhou Xiaolong Zhao Pengfei Lu Guanghui Sun Yuhan Song Yayun Li Xiaoyong Liu Hongxing Dai 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,2:2

9Effect of radial heat conduction on effective thermal conductivity of carbon nanotube bundles显示文摘The effect of the radial heat conduction on the effective thermal conductivity of carbon nanotube(CNT) bundles is studied by the nonequilibrium molecular dynamics(NEMD) method. The hexagonal CNT bundle consists of seven(10, 10) single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs). The radial heat conduction is induced by creating the vacancy defects in some segments of the constituent CNTs. Combined with the temperature differences and the inter-tube thermal resistances at the different segments,the radial heat flow in the CNT bundle is calculated. The maximum percentage of the radial heat flow is less than 7% with the presence of four defective CNTs, while the resultant decrement of the effective thermal conductivity of the bundle is about 18%.The present results indicate that the radial heat flow can significantly diminish the axial heat conduction in the CNT bundles,which probably explains the smaller effective thermal conductivity in the CNT assemblies compared to that of the individual CNTs.WANG JianLi SONG YaMei ZHANG YuFeng HU YuHan YIN Hang GU YunFeng XIA Re CHEN YunFei 2018Science China(Technological Sciences)2018,61,12:1
10Development of a Widely Applicable and Simple Prognostic Score for Patients with Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure显示文摘Background and Aims:Acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)tends to progress rapidly with high short-term mortality.We aimed to create a widely applicable,simple prognostic(WASP)score for ACLF patients.Methods:A retrospective cohort of ACLF cases recruited from three centers in China were divided into training and validation sets to develop the new score.A prospective longitudinal cohort was recruited for further validation.Results:A total of 541 cases were included in the training set,and seven independent ACLF prognostic factors were screened to construct a new quantitative WASP-ACLF table.In the validation set of 671 cases,WASP-ACLF showed better predictive ability for 28-day and 90-day mortality than the currently used prognostic scores at baseline,day 3,week 1,and week 2.The predictive efficacy and clinical validity of the model improved over time.Patients were assigned to low-,intermediate-,and high-risk groups by their WASP-ACLF scores.Compared with the other two groups,intermediate-risk patients had a more uncertain prognosis,with a 90-day mortality of 44.4–50.6%.Sequential assessments at weeks 1 and 2 found the 90-day mortality of intermediate-risk groups was<20%forpatients with a≥2 point decrease in WASP-ACLF and was up to 56%for patients with a≥2 points increase.Similar results were observed in prospective data.Conclusions:The new ACLF prognostic score was simple,widely applicable,and had good predictive efficacy.Continuous assessments and trend of change in WASP-ACLF need to be considered,especially for intermediate-risk patients.Zhenjun Yu Yu Zhang Yuhan Li Feng Zhou Manman Xu Shaoli You Yu Chen Bing Zhu Ming Kong Fangjiao Song Shaojie Xin Zhongping Duan Tao Han China Network for Severe Liver Diseases 2022Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,5:1
11The tumor suppressor CYLD controls epithelial morphogenesis and homeostasis by regulating mitotic spindle behavior and adherens junction assembly显示文摘Epithelial morphogenesis and homeostasis are essential for animal development and tissue regeneration,and epithelial disorganization is associated with developmental disorders and tumorigenesis.However,the molecular mechanisms that contribute to the morphogenesis and homeostasis of the epithelium remain elusive.Herein,we report a novel role for the cylindromatosis(CYLD)tumor suppressor in these events.Our results show that CYLD depletion disrupts epithelial organization in both Drosophila egg chambers and mouse skin and intestinal epithelia.Microscopic analysis of proliferating cells in mouse epithelial tissues and cultured organoids reveals that loss of CYLD synergizes with tumor-promoting agents to cause the misorientation of the mitotic spindle.Mechanistic studies show that CYLD accu?mulates at the cell cortex in epithelial tissues and cultured cells,where it promotes the formation of epithelial adherens junctions through the modulation of microtubule dynamics.These data suggest that CYLD controls epithelial morphogenesis and homeostasis by modulating the assembly of adherens junctions and ensuring proper orientation of the mitotic spindle.Our findings thus provide novel insight into the role of CYLD in development,tissue homeostasis,and tumorigenesis.Wei Xie Yunfan Yang Siqi Gao Ting Song Yuhan Wu Dengwen Li Min Liu Jun Zhou 2017Journal of Genetics and Genomics2017,44,7:1

14Input-to-State Stabilization of Nonlinear Impulsive Delayed Systems: An Observer-Based Control Approach显示文摘This paper addresses the problems of input-to-state stabilization and integral input-to-state stabilization for a class of nonlinear impulsive delayed systems subject to exogenous dis-turbances.Since the information of plant’s states,time delays,and exogenous disturbances is often hard to be obtained,the key design challenge,which we resolve,is the construction of a state observer-based controller.For this purpose,we firstly propose a corresponding observer which is independent of time delays and exogenous disturbances to reconstruct(or estimate)the plant’s states.And then based on the observations,we establish an observer-based control design for the plant to achieve the input-to-state stability(ISS)and integral-ISS(iISS)properties.With the help of the comparison principle and average impulse interval approach,some sufficient conditions are presented,and moreover,two different linear matrix inequalities(LMIs)based criteria are proposed to design the gain matrices.Finally,two numerical examples and their simulations are given to show the effectiveness of our theoretical results.Yuhan Wang Xiaodi Li Shiji Song 2022IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2022,9,7:1

16Tidal Effects on the Bottom Thermal Front of North Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass near Zhangzi Island in Summer 2009显示文摘Three seabed-mounted TD/CTD chains and two upward-looking acoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCPs) in the southwest of Zhangzi Island are used and a simultaneous cruise observation in the northern North Yellow Sea (NYS) is conducted to study temperature variation in the bottom thermal front zone of the NYS Cold Water Mass (NYSCWM) during the summer of 2009. In the flood-ebb tidal cycles, the bottom temperature decreases (increases) during flood (ebb) tides, which are dominated by the tidal-current induced horizontal advection. The ebb tide-induced temperature increase is larger than the flood tide-induced tempera- ture decrease due to seasonal warming. In the spring-neap tidal cycles, the temperature and the vertical temperature structure show notable fortnightly variation from 16 July to 25 August. The bottom temperature increases from neap to spring tides and decreases from spring to neap. The Richardson number demonstrates strengthened vertical mixing during spring tides but enhanced stratifica- tion during neap tides. 17Antioxidant and anti-HepG2 cell activities of a novel bioactive peptide from cowhide collagen in vitro显示文摘In the present study,the antioxidant and anti-human liver cancer(HepG2)cells effects of bioactive peptides from cowhide collagen(BPCC)were evaluated.BPCC exhibited significant scavenging effect on l,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH)radicals((60.09±3.51)%),2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)(ABTS)radicals((77.40±3.10)%)and hydroxyl radicals((56.00±2.30)%)as well as strong reducing power(0.320士0.025).Meanwhile,BPCC effectively protected biomacromolecules including proteins,lipids and DNA from oxidative damage induced by Cu^(2+)H_(2)O_(2)and 2,2'-azobis(2-methylpropionamidine)dihydrochloride(AAPH).Moreover,BPCC significantly inhibited cell viability of HepG2 cells in a dose-dependent manner with an estimated IC_(50)of 7.61 mg/mL.The results of 4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole(DAPI)and acridine:orange/ethidium bromide(AO/EB)staining demonstrated the apoptotic morphological changes and cell mediated death in BPCC treated HepG2 cells.In addition,BPCC induced decrease of mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP)in HepG2 cells.Therefore,the present finding proved that BPCC encompasses significant antioxidant activity and anticancer property on HepG2 cells and can be used as alternative food antioxidants for cancer prevention benefits.Zhike Xie Yuhan Zhai Yuqing Zhang Ming He Xuguang Wang Shaoxuan Yu Haifang Xiao Yuanda Song 2024Journal of Future Foods2024,4,3:0
18Enhanced confinement synthesis of atomically dispersed Fe-N-C catalyst from resin polymer for oxygen reduction显示文摘Due to larger atom utilization,unique electronic properties and unsaturated coordination,atomically dispersed non-precious metal catalysts with outstanding performances have received great attention in electrocatalysis.Considering the challenge of serious aggregation,rational synthesis of an atomic catalyst with good dispersion of atoms is paramount to the development of these catalysts.Herein,we report an enhanced confinement strategy to synthesize a catalyst comprised of atomically dispersed Fe supported on porous nitrogen-doped graphitic carbon from the novel and more cross-linkable Melamine-Glyoxal Resin.Densified isolated grid trapping,excessive melamine restricting,and nitrogen anchoring are strongly combined to ensure the final atomic-level dispersion of metal atoms.Experimental studies revealed enhanced kinetics of the obtained catalyst towards oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).This catalytic activity originates from the highly active surface with atomically dispersed iron sites as well as the multi-level three-dimensional structure with fast mass and electron transfer.The enhanced confinement strategy endows the resin-derived atomic catalyst with a great prospect to develop for commercialization in future.Ailing Song Hao Tian Wang Yang Wu Yang Yuhan Xie Hao Liu Guoxiu Wang Guangjie Shao 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2:0
19A platform for integrated spectrometers based on solution-processable semiconductors显示文摘Acquiring real-time spectral information in point-of-care diagnosis,internet-of-thing,and other lab-on-chip applications require spectrometers with hetero-integration capability and miniaturized feature.Compared to conventional semiconductors integrated by heteroepitaxy,solution-processable semiconductors provide a much-flexible integration platform due to their solution-processability,and,therefore,more suitable for the multi-material integrated system.However,solution-processable semiconductors are usually incompatible with the micro-fabrication processes.This work proposes a facile and universal platform to fabricate integrated spectrometers with semiconductor substitutability by unprecedently involving the conjugated mode of the bound states in the continuum(conjugated-BIC)photonics.Specifically,exploiting the conjugated-BIC photonics,which remains unexplored in conventional lasing studies,renders the broadband photodiodes with ultra-narrowband detection ability,detection wavelength tunability,and on-chip integration ability while ensuring the device performance.Spectrometers based on these ultra-narrowband photodiode arrays exhibit high spectral resolution and wide/tunable spectral bandwidth.The fabrication processes are compatible with solution-processable semiconductors photodiodes like perovskites and quantum dots,which can be potentially extended to conventional semiconductors.Signals from the spectrometers directly constitute the incident spectra without being computation-intensive,latency-sensitive,and error-intolerant.As an example,the integrated spectrometers based on perovskite photodiodes are capable of realizing narrowband/broadband light reconstruction and in-situ hyperspectral imaging.Yanhao Li Xiong Jiang Yimu Chen Yuhan Wang Yunkai Wu De Yu Kaiyang Wang Sai Bai Shumin Xiao Qinghai Song 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,9:0
20Metformin:A promising clinical therapeutical approach for BPH treatment via inhibiting dysregulated steroid hormones-induced prostatic epithelial cells proliferation显示文摘The occurrence of benign prostate hyperplasia(BPH)was related to disrupted sex steroid hormones,and metformin(Met)had a clinical response to sex steroid hormone-related gynaecological disease.However,whether Met exerts an antiproliferative effect on BPH via sex steroid hormones remains unclear.Here,our clinical study showed that along with prostatic epithelial cell(PEC)proliferation,sex steroid hormones were dysregulated in the serum and prostate of BPH patients.As the major contributor to dysregulated sex steroid hormones,elevated dihydrotestosterone(DHT)had a significant positive relationship with the clinical characteristics of BPH patients.Activation of adenosine 5'-monophosphate(AMP)-activated protein kinase(AMPK)by Met restored dysregulated sex steroid hormone homeostasis and exerted antiproliferative effects against DHT-induced proliferation by inhibiting the formation of androgen receptor(AR)-mediated Yes-associated protein(YAP1)-TEA domain transcription factor(TEAD4)heterodimers.Met’s anti-proliferative effects were blocked by AMPK inhibitor or YAP1 overexpression in DHT-cultured BPH-1 cells.Our findings indicated that Met would be a promising clinical therapeutic approach for BPH by inhibiting dysregulated steroid hormone-induced PEC proliferation.Tingting Yanga Jiayu Yuana Yuting Penga Jiale Pang Zhen Qiu Shangxiu Chen Yuhan Huang Zhenzhou Jiang Yilin Fan Junjie Liu Tao Wang Xueyan Zhou Sitong Qian Jinfang Song Yi Xu Qian Lu Xiaoxing Yin 2024Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2024,14,1:0
