| 1 | Timing of the Wudangshan, Yaolinghe volcanic sequences and mafic sills in South Qinling: U-Pb zircon geochronology and tectonic implication显示文摘The Wudangshan, Yaolinghe volcanic-sedimentary sequences and doleritic-gabbroic sills comprise the largest exposed Precambrian basement in South Qinling. Zircons separated from 5 volcanic-pyroclas- tic samples of the Wudangshan Group, 2 volcanic samples of the Yaolinghe Group and one sample for the mafic sills were used for U-Pb dating by laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma mass spec- trometry (LA-ICPMS). The results reveal that the Wudangshan volcanic sequence was formed at (755±3) Ma (a weighted mean from the 5 samples, MSWD=0.47), whereas the Yaolinghe volcanic suite and the mafic sill were crystallized at (685±5) (2 samples, MSWD=0.36) and (679±3) Ma (MSWD=1.6), respectively, which are equal to each other within analysis errors. These ages are markedly younger than those previously documented for the rocks. The newly obtained ages for the Wudangshan and Yaolinghe Groups are identical to those of the bottom Liantuo and slightly older than those of the Nantuo Forma- tions, respectively, lower strata of the Nanhua (middle to late Neoproterozoic) stratotype section in eastern Three Gorges, Yangtze craton. A range of inherited magmatic zircons was recognized with ages of 830 to 780 Ma, which are typical of Neoprotzrozoic magmatisms recorded along the margins and interior of the Yangtze craton. Thus, there is Neoproterozoic basement comprising 830―780 Ma igne- ous suites in South Qinling; the inherited zircons were detrital sediments derived from the northern margin of the Yangtze craton. | 2 | U-Pb dating of detrital zircons from the Wudangshan Group in the South Qinling and its geological significance显示文摘U-Pb dating was made by the LA-ICP-MS method for detrital zircons from the Wudangshan volcanic-sedimentary succession in the South Qinling. Samples comprise quartz sandstones of the Wudangshan Group collected from the base of the Yangping For-mation and an upper layer of the Shuangtai Formation overlain its volcanic sequence, and two river-sand collections from the drainage systems cutting across the two formations, respectively. The results show that the Yangping detrital zircons are domi-nated by 830–780 Ma grains with a minor population of ~1.0–0.84 Ga and sporadic grains of ~2.6, ~2.4 and 2.0 Ga, whereas the Shuangtai zircons yield an upper intercept age of 763±33 Ma, identical to the timing of the Wudangshan volcanism within error, with few concordant grains of 1.9 and 0.86 Ga. Age spectra for the two river-sand samples are similar to those of the Yangping and Shuangtai Formations, respectively. It thus suggests that the Wudangshan strata are less than 780 Ma, whereas their major detrital zircon populations of 1.0–0.85 Ga and 830–780 Ma are consistent with timing of the Hannan magmatic activities along the northwestern margin of the South China Block. This suggests a Hannan or adjacent area provenance for the Wudangshan strata. The Wudang area is characterized by rift-related igneous events at ~755 and ~680 Ma, respectively, pointing to a tectono-magmatic history different from the Hannan area. | 4 | Zircon U-Pb dating on the Mesozoic volcanic suite from the Qingshan Group stratotype section in eastern Shandong Province and its tectonic significance显示文摘A geochronological study of zircon U-Pb on the volcanic rocks from the stratotype section of the Qingshan Group within the Jiaozhou Basin, eastern Shandong Province, is presented. The zircons were analyzed using the method of in situ ablation of a 193 nm excimer laser system coupled with an up to date ICP-MS system. Among the three formations of the Qingshan Group, zircons recovered from the lowest part of the Houkuang Fm. were dated at 106±2 Ma (95% confidence, the same below), whereas those from the lower and upper parts of the Shiqianzhuang Fm. were given ages of 105±4 Ma and 98±1 Ma, respectively. A spatially decreasing trend for the Mesozoic magmatic timing from west to east in the province is observed through comparing the data of this study with those by previous works on the Qingshan volcanic lavas occurring at western Shandong and within the Yishu fault zone. The Qingshan volcanic rocks are constituent of the 'Shoshonite Province' in East China. Exposed at most provinces of central East China along the Tan-Lu fault and the Yangtze fault zones, these volcanic suites are characterized by shoshonite and high-K calcalkalic rocks in lithology and thought to be correlated with the partial melting of continental mantle in genesis. It is also shown that the Qingshan potassic volcanic suite from eastern Shandong basins is distinctly younger than those from other ar-eas of the shoshonite province. By contrary, ages of the Mesozoic to Cenozoic alkaline basalts, sourced by asthenospheric mantle, from both northern Huaiyan basin and northern Dabie belt along the Tan-Lu fault zone and from the Ningwu, Lishui and Luzong basins along the Yangtze fault zone are observably older than those occurring within eastern Shandong. | 10 | Zircon SHRIMP U-Pb geochronology,geochemistry and petrogenesis of the upper Eocene Shuangmaidi peraluminous granite in Baoshan Block,Western Yunnan Terrain,southwestern China显示文摘The Baoshan Block is tectonically located in the middle segment of the Sibumasu plate.Granitic magmatism within the Baoshan Block has been considered weakly active due mainly to very limited exposures during the Himalaya orogenic episode.The geochronological study on the buried Shuangmaidi granite has confirmed the existence of the Cenozoic granitoids in the Baoshan Block.The present study indicates that:(1) It is medium-to coarse-grained two mica phyric granite,characterized by high SiO 2 (73.55%-77.16%) and low CaO (0.34%-1.38%) contents,with a total alkalis (K 2 O+Na 2 O) of 5.22%-8.03%,K 2 O/Na 2 O ratios of 0.24-1.79,and total rare earth elements (ΣREE) of the granite between 85 and 125 ppb.All samples are enriched in light REE and exhibit medium negative Eu anomalies;and they show pronounced negative anomalies in Ba,Sr,Ti,and Nb but significant positive anomalies in K,Rb,U,Th,and Pb on mantle-normalized trace element patterns,indicating typi-cally peraluminous to strongly peraluminous S-type granite.(2) The zircon SHRIMP U-Pb ages of the granite are 36.27±0.48 Ma for the samples from ZK7-1 and 35.78±0.49 Ma for those from ZK0-1,respectively.The similar zircon ages from these two drill cores may suggest that the granite samples come from the same buried pluton.(3) 206 Pb/204 Pb values of the granite vary from 20.115 to 25.359,207 Pb/204 Pb from 15.776 to 16.160,and 208 Pb/204 Pb from 39.236 to 41.285,showing the characteristics of radio-active lead anomaly of the upper crust.The (87 Sr/86 Sr) i values calculated on the average age of the two-mica orthoclase granite (36 Ma) range from 0.72524 to 0.77503 and ε Nd (t) values vary from 10.9 to 11.7.These data,along with the depleted-mantle Nd modal ages of 1.73-1.80 Ga,imply that the granites might have formed from partial melting of the Precambrian crystal basements.(4) On the Hf-Rb-Ta diagram,almost all the samples fall within the field of post-collision tectonic setting.The CaO/Na 2 O and Al 2 O 3/TiO 2 ratios suggest that the granitic magma may have formed from partial melting of clay-rich crustal materials with a pos-sible melting temperature of about 900°C and a possible crystallization temperature of 775-795°C.(5) During the post-collision of the Himalaya orogen,with the southeastward extrusion of the Indochina continent resulting from the continuous northward indentation of the India continent into the Asia,the Gaoligong Fault,as the western boundary of the Indochina continent,moved in the dextral strike-slip on a large scale to trigger partial melting of the thickened crust,and the peraluminous granitic magma from which the Shuangmaidi two-mica orthoclase granite derived was formed. | HUANG JingNing CHEN YongQing ZHAI XiaoMing LU YingXiang XIE YongFu CHENG ZhiZhong | 2011 | Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,7: | 7 |

Results showed that the β phase grains were refined significantly by cold rolling followed by solution treatment for a short time.Compared to unidirectional cold rolling, the short time solution treatment after two-step cross rolling could significantly reduce the non-uniformity of the microstructure of the alloy sheets. After aging treatment at 550 ℃,the anisotropy of the mechanical properties still existed in the unidirectional rolled sheets, and the tensile strength was highest along the rolling direction. | 14 | Characteristics of the Main Journal Bearings of an Engine Based on Non-linear Dynamics显示文摘Many simple nonlinear main journal bearing models have been studied theoretically,but the connection to existing engineering system has not been equally investigated.The consideration of the characteristics of engine main journal bearings may provide a prediction of the bearing load and lubrication.Due to the strong non-linear features in bearing lubrication procedure,it is difficult to predict those characteristics.A non-linear dynamic model is described for analyzing the characteristics of engine main journal bearings.Components such as crankshaft,main journals and con rods are found by applying the finite element method.Non-linear spring/dampers are introduced to imitate the constraint and supporting functions provided by the main bearing and oil film.The engine gas pressure is imposed as excitation on the model via the engine piston,con rod,etc.The bearing reaction force is calculated over one engine cycle,and meanwhile,the oil film thickness and pressure distribution are obtained based on Reynolds differential equation.It can be found that the maximum bearing reaction force always occurs when the maximum cylinder pressure arises in the cylinder adjacent to that bearing.The simulated minimum oil film thickness,which is 3 μm,demonstrates the reliability of the main journal bearings.This non-linear dynamic analysis may save computing efforts of engine main bearing design and also is of good precision and close connection to actual engine main journal bearing conditions. | NI Guangjian ZHANG Junhong CHENG Xiaoming | 2009 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2009,22,5: | 6 |
| 15 | Realization of an Optimal Dynamic Geodetic Reference Frame in China:Methodology and Applications显示文摘China Geodetic Coordinate System 2000(CGCS2000)has been used for several years as a formal published reference frame.The coordinates of all global navigation satellite system(GNSS)stations in China need to be corrected to align with the CGCS2000 frame.Different strategies can be adopted for the realization of an optimal reference frame.However,different strategies lead to different results,with differences as great as several decimeters when GNSS station coordinates are transformed into CGCS2000-defined coordinates.The two common methods for the coordinate correction of a GNSS station are quasi-stable adjustment under CGCS2000 and plate movement correction,and the differences between their results can be greater than 10 cm.In this study,a statistic method called'supervised clustering'is applied to the selection of GNSS reference stations;a new scheme named'partition spacing'for the grouping of all processed GNSS stations is proposed;and the plate movement correction method is used to correct the coordinates of all GNSS stations from the GNSS epoch to the CGCS2000 epoch.The results from the new partitioning method were found to be significantly better than those from the conventional station-blocking approach.When coordinates from the stations without grouping were used as the standard,the accuracy of all the three-dimensional coordinate components from the new partitioning method was better than 2 mm.The root mean squares(RMSs)of the velocities in the x,y,and z directions resulting from the supervised clustering method were 0.19,0.45,and 0.32 mm∙a1,respectively,which were much smaller than the values of 0.92,0.72,and 0.97 mm∙a1 that resulted from the conventional approach.In addition,singular spectrum analysis(SSA)was used to model and predict the position nonlinear movements.The modeling accuracies of SSA were better than 3,2,and 5 mm in the east(E),north(N),and up(U)directions,respectively;and its prediction accuracies were better than 5 mm and 1 cm for the horizontal and vertical domains,respectively. | Pengfei Cheng Yingyan Cheng Xiaoming Wang Suqin Wu Yantian Xu | 2020 | Engineering2020,6,8: | 5 |
| 16 | Update China geodetic coordinate frame considering plate motion显示文摘China Geodetic Coordinate System 2000(CGCS2000),as the formal national coordinate reference frame,has been used for 20 years.The coordinates of all Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)stations in China need referring to this system.To this end,the first step is to align the coordinates of all stations,usually included in a regional GNSS network,with a given International Terrestrial Reference Frame(ITRF),then these coordinates are corrected to the CGCS2000 in consideration of plate movement.For a better alignment result,regional control stations are needed and their coordinates were estimated from the combination of constraint-free normal equation systems provided by several International GNSS Service(IGS)analysis centers.The effect in using these refined coordinates,which deter-mine a regional coordinate datum,on the alignment result should be evaluated by the coordinate corrections of the regional control stations to the regional coordinate datum,i.e.smaller corrections mean better alignments of the two associated frames.The test results show that the refined coordinates are more accurate than the ones calculated from the station’s velocity,and are well aligned with the ITRF2005.Moreover,for obtaining the coordinates of GNSS stations in an updated CGCS2000 frame,a gridded linear velocity field based on the estimated velocities at 1025 CGCS2000 stations was generated for China's Mainland using the optimal interpolation method,the inverse distance weighting,which is selected from five interpolation methods.The overall precisions of the constructed velocity field at all stations in the East(E)and,North(N)directions are 0.78 mm/a and 0.95 mm/a,respectively.For evaluating the accuracy of the updated CGCS2000 frame,monthly solutions for the coordinates of some CGCS2000 CORS stations in the ITRF2014 during the period from 2000.0 to 2018 were obtained and the Root Mean Square(RMS)of the differences between the coordinates corrected to the CGCS2000 and the known coordinates at these stations are about 2-3 cm. | Pengfei Cheng Yingyan Cheng Xiaoming Wang Yantian Xu | 2021 | Satellite Navigation2021,2,1: | 4 |
| 17 | High-throughput microfabrication of axially tunable helices显示文摘Helical structures exhibit novel optical and mechanical properties and are commonly used in different fields such as metamaterials and microfluidics. A few methods exist for fabricating helical microstructures, but none of them has the throughput or flexibility required for patterning a large surface area with tunable pitch. In this paper, we report a method for fabricating helical structures with adjustable forms over large areas based on multiphoton polymerization(MPP) using single-exposure, three dimensionally structured, self-accelerating, axially tunable light fields. The light fields are generated as a superposition of high-order Bessel modes and have a closed-form expression relating the design of the phase mask to the rotation rate of the beam. The method is used to fabricate helices with different pitches and handedness in the material SU-8. | 18 | Ectopic expression of VRT-A2 underlies the origin of Triticum polonicum and Triticum petropavlovskyi with long outer glumes and grains显示文摘Polish wheat (Triticum polonicum) is a unique tetraploid wheat species characterized by an elongated outer glume. The genetic control of the long-glume trait by a single semi-dominant locus, P1 (from Polish wheat), was established more than 100 years ago, but the underlying causal gene and molecular nature remain elusive. Here, we report the isolation of VRT-A2, encoding an SVP-clade MADS-box transcription factor, as the P1 candidate gene. Genetic evidence suggests that in T. polonicum, a naturally occurring sequence rearrangement in the intron-1 region of VRT-A2 leads to ectopic expression of VRT-A2 in floral organs where the long-glume phenotype appears. Interestingly, we found that the intron-1 region is a key ON/OFF molecular switch for VRT-A2 expression, not only because it recruits transcriptional repressors, but also because it confers intron-mediated transcriptional enhancement. Genotypic analyses using wheat accessions indicated that the P1 locus is likely derived from a single natural mutation in tetraploid wheat, which was subsequently inherited by hexaploid T. petropavlovskyi. | 19 | Synthesis and biological evaluation of 8-substituted and deglucuronidated scutellarin and baicalin analogues as antioxidant responsive element activators显示文摘Flavonoids are important bioactive dietary compounds, which are proved to be antioxidant responsive element (ARE) activators to defend against electrophilic toxicants and oxidative stress. The activators induce ARE gene transcription through Nrf2 factor, a major transcriptional stimulator of cytoprotective genes, relieved from a Keap1 complex. In this report, based on the structures of two flavonoids, scutellarin and baicalin, which are extracted from two common Chinese plants Dengzhanhua (Erigeron breviscapus (vant) Hand-Mazz) and Huangqin (Scutellaria baicalensis Georigi), respectively, we synthesized several 8-substituted and deglucuronidated analogues and identified the ARE activation effects of these flavonoids. We found that the Baicalin, deglucurnonidated Baicalin and diaza cyclopenta derivative were more active. Their dose-dependent upregulation activities of ARE and NQO1 and induction effects of Nrf2 were testified.
