2Comparing the Diagnostic Criteria for Gestational Diabetes Mellitus of World Health Organization 2013 with 1999 in Chinese Population显示文摘INTRODUCTION Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) was earlier defined as 'hyperglycemia first recognized during pregnancy' and has more recently been described by American Diabetes Association (ADA) (2012) as diabetes diagnosed during pregnancy that is not clearly overt diabetes.[1] The hyperglycemia and adverse pregnancy outcomes study (HAPO) demonstrated that the risk of adverse maternal,fetal,and neonatal outcomes continuously increase as a function of maternal glycemia at 24-28 weeks,even within ranges previously considered normal for pregnancy.[2] After reviewing the results of the HAPO study,many international diabetes study groups,including the International Association of Diabetes and Pregnancy Study Groups and ADA have adopted the 75 g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) at 24-28 weeks as a screening and diagnostic test and defined new cut-off values for GDM diagnosis.The Ministry of Health of China published the criteria for GDM,that is the same as the ADA criteria on July 1,2011.World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended the 75 g OGTT with different cut-offvalues as a diagnostic test since 1999,changed its recommendation on 2013.In Hongkong and Yunnan province in China,most hospital adopted the WHO 1999 criteria,nevertheless,there is no evidence of multicenter and large sample to show that the GDM population within the same ethnic group diagnosed by the new WHO criteria matches those diagnosed by the old one and consistency between the two criteria has not been reported.Thus,we conducted this study to analyze the two criteria in Chinese pregnant women.Weiwei Zhu Huixia Yang Yumei Wei Zilian Wang Xuelan Li Hairong Wu Nan Li Meihua Zhang Xinghui Liu Hua Zhang Yunhui Wang Jianmin Niu Yujie Gan Liruo Zhong Yunfeng Wang Anil Kapur 2015Chinese Medical Journal2015,,1:42

4Two soybean bHLH factors regulate response to iron deficiency显示文摘Iron is an indispensable micronutrient for plant growth and development. Limited bioavailability of Fe in the soil leads to iron deficiency chlorosis in plants and yield loss. In this study, two soybean basic helix-loophelix transcription factors, Gmb HLH57 and Gmb HLH300,were identified in response to Fe-deficiency. Both transcription factors are expressed in roots and nodules,and are induced by Fe deficiency; these patterns were confirmed in transgenic hairy roots expressing constructs of the endogenous promoters fused to a GUS reporter gene. Bimolecular fluorescence complementation, yeast two-hybrid and coimmunoprecipitation(co-IP) assays indicated a physical interaction between Gmb HLH57 and Gmb HLH300. 5Biomass-derived porous carbon highly efficient for removal of Pb(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ)显示文摘The utilization of abundant and renewable biomass to fabricate advanced functional materials is considered a promising route for environmental applications.Herein,Lignin-based porous carbon with layered graphene-like structure(LPC)is successfully synthesized and applied to efficiently remove Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ).The as-synthesized LPC materials are systematically characterized and these results show that LPC has a porous graphene-like structure,facilitating the diffusion and immobilization of heavy metal ions.The influence of different reaction parameters(solution pH,initial concentration of metal ions,contact time and adsorbent amount)on the adsorption performance is investigated in details.The results demonstrate that LPC can achieve superior adsorption capacities of 250.5 mg·g^-1 for Pb(Ⅱ)and 126.4 mg·g^-1 for Cd(Ⅱ),which are far superior to the previously reported adsorbents.Pseudo-second order kinetics model and Freundlich isotherm model describe the adsorption process well.Furthermore,the exhausted LPC can be regenerated easily and exhibits the removal efficiency of 96%and 92%for Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)after five continuous runs,respectively.This study shows a sustainable strategy for the design of porous carbon material from na?ve biomass and highlights the great potential in wastewater treatment.Anqi Wang Zhikeng Zheng Ruiqi Li Di Hu Yiran Lu Huixia Luo Kai Yan 2019Green Energy & Environment2019,4,4:10
6Retrospective Study of Castleman's Disease:A Report of Fourteen Cases and Review of the Literature显示文摘OBJECTIVE To enhance the understanding of Castleman’s disease (CD), and to improve its diagnosis and management. METHODS Clinical features and related information on diagnosis and treatment of 14 cases of CD were retrospectively analyzed and the literature reviewed. RESULTS Based on the clinical classification, localized CD was found in 8 of the 14 cases. Both the results of lymph node biopsy and histopathology indicated they were a hyaline-vascular type. The multicentric type CD was detected in 6 cases, among which 4 were plasma cell type and 2 mixed type based on histopathologic examination. There were a variety of clinical situa-tions in the 14 cases, with a lack of specificity. They were previously misdiag-nosed as other diseases, and final diagnosis depended on a histopathologic examination. The 8 patients with localized CD underwent excision, without recurrence up to now. The 6 patients with multicentric-type CD were treated with glucocorticoids or combined chemotherapy, and all achieved remission. CONCLUSIONS CD has complicated clinical manifestations and is difficult to diagnose. Lymph node biopsy is important for early diagnosis. 7Risk of gestational diabetes recurrence and the development of type 2 diabetes among women with a history of gestational diabetes and risk factors: a study among 18 clinical centers in China显示文摘Background:Gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)brings health issues for both mothers and offspring,and GDM prevention is as important as GDM management.It was shown that a history of GDM was significantly associated with a higher maternal risk for GDM recurrence.The incidence of GDM recurrence was unclear because of the incidence of second-child was low before 2016 in China.We aim to investigate the prevalence of GDM recurrence and its associated high-risk factors which may be useful for the prediction of GDM recurrence in China.Methods:A retrospective study was conducted which enrolled participants who underwent regular prenatal examination and delivered twice in the same hospital of 18 research centers.All participants were enrolled from January 2018 to October 2018,where they delivered the second baby during this period.A total of 6204 women were enrolled in this study,and 1002 women with a history of GDM were analyzed further.All participants enrolled in the study had an oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT)result at 24 to 28 weeks and were diagnosed as GDM in the first pregnancy according to the OGTT value(when any one of the following values is met or exceeded to the 75-g OGTT:0 h[fasting],≥5.10 mmol/L;1 h,≥10.00 mmol/L;and 2 h,≥8.50 mmol/L).The prevalence of GDM recurrence and development of type 2 diabetes mellitus were calculated,and its related risk factors were analyzed.Results:In 6204 participants,there are 1002 women(1002/6204,16.15%)with a history of GDM and 5202 women(5202/6204,83.85%)without a history of GDM.There are significant differences in age(32.43±4.03 years vs.33.00±3.34 years vs.32.19±3.37 years,P<0.001),pregnancy interval(4.06±1.44 years vs.3.52±1.43 years vs.3.38±1.35 years,P=0.004),prepregnancy body mass index(BMI)(27.40±4.62 kg/m^(2)vs.23.50±3.52 kg/m^(2)vs.22.55±3.47 kg/m^(2),P<0.001),history of delivered macrosomia(22.7%vs.11.0%vs.6.2%,P<0.001)among the development of diabetes mellitus(DM),recurrence of GDM,and normal women.Moreover,it seems so important in the degree of abnormal glucose metabolism in the first pregnancy to the recurrence of GDM and the development of DM.There are significant differences in OGTT levels of the first pregnancy such as area under the curve of OGTT value(18.31±1.90 mmol/L vs.16.27±1.93 mmol/L vs.15.55±1.92 mmol/L,P<0.001),OGTT fasting value(5.43±0.48 mmol/L vs.5.16±0.49 mmol/L vs.5.02±0.47 mmol/L,P<0.001),OGTT 1-hour value(10.93±1.34 mmol/L vs.9.69±1.53 mmol/L vs.9.15±1.58 mmol/L,P<0.001),OGTT 2-hour value(9.30±1.66 mmol/L vs.8.01±1.32 mmol/L vs.7.79±1.38 mmol/L,P<0.001),incidence of impaired fasting glucose(IFG)(fasting plasma glucose≥5.6 mmol/L)(31.3%vs.14.6%vs.8.8%,P<0.001),and incidence of two or more abnormal OGTT values(68.8%vs.39.7%vs.23.9%,P<0.001)among the three groups.Using multivariate analysis,the factors,such as age(1.07[1.02-1.12],P=0.006),prepregnancy BMI(1.07[1.02,1.12],P=0.003),and area under the curve of OGTT in the first pregnancy(1.14[1.02,1.26],P=0.02),have an effect on maternal GDM recurrence;the factors,such as age(1.28[1.01-1.61],P=0.04),pre-pregnancy BMI(1.26[1.04,1.53],P=0.02),and area under the curve of OGTT in the first pregnancy(1.65[1.04,2.62],P=0.03),have an effect on maternal DM developed further.Conclusions:The history of GDM was significantly associated with a higher maternal risk for GDM recurrence during follow-up after the first pregnancy.The associated risk factors for GDM recurrence or development of DM include age,high pre-pregnancy BMI,history of delivered macrosomia,the OGTT level in the first pregnancy,such as the high area under the curve of OGTT,IFG,and two or more abnormal OGTT values.To prevent GDM recurrence,women with a history of GDM should do the preconception counseling before preparing next pregnancy.Yumei Wei Juan Juan Rina Su Geng Song Xu Chen Ruiqin Shan Ying Li Shihong Cui Shangrong Fan Ling Feng Zishan You Haixia Meng Yan Cai Cuilin Zhang Huixia Yang 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,6:7
8High-Temperature Metamorphism, Anataxis and Tectonic Evolution of a Mafic Granulite from the Eastern Himalayan Orogen显示文摘The Himalayan Orogen, resulting from the Tertiary collision of Indian and Asian continents, is a natural laboratory for studying metamorphism, partial melting and granite formation of collisional orogens. However, metamorphic and anatectic conditions and timescales of meta-mafic rocks in the Greater Himalayan Sequences(GHS) in the east-central Himalaya remain controversial. In this paper, we conduct a study of petrology and geochronology of mafic granulite from the Eastern Himalayan Syntaxis(EHS). The mafic granulite with abundant leucosome bands occurs as layers within felsic granulites and is well deformed. The granulite consists of garnet, plagioclase, amphibole and quartz with minor clinopyroxene, orthopyroxene, biotite, rutile, titanite and ilmenite. The garnet has growth compositional zoning and contains abundant mineral inclusions in its core. Peak metamorphic mineral assemblage of the granulite is garnet, amphibole, plagioclase, quartz, clinopyroxene and rutile, recording a high-pressure(HP) and high-temperature(HT) peak-metamorphism under conditions of 14–15.5 kbar and 780–790℃ in the presence of melt. The reconstructed clockwise P-T path is characterized by an early heating and burial prograde metamorphism, and late isothermal and cooling decompression retrogression. The granulite witnessed a long lasting HT metamorphism, partial melting and melt crystallization process which began at ca. 39 Ma and lasted to ca. 11 Ma. The present study shows that various high-grade rocks of the GHS in the EHS core experienced similar metamorphic conditions and P-T-t paths, indicating that they occurred as a coherent slab during the subduction and exhumation of Indian lithosphere. 9Estimation of Regional Evapotranspiration in Alpine Area and Its Response to Land Use Change:A Case Study in Three-River Headwaters Region of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,China显示文摘Three-River Headwaters(TRH) region involved in this paper refers to the source region of the Changjiang(Yangtze) River,the Huanghe(Yellow) River and the Lancang River in China.Taking the TRH region of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau as a case,the annual evapotranspiration(ET) model developed by Zhang et al.(2001) was applied to evaluate mean annual ET in the alpine area,and the response of annual ET to land use change was analyzed.The plant-available water coefficient(w) of Zhang's model was revised by using vegetation-temperature condition index(VTCI) before annual ET was calculated in alpine area.The future land use scenario,an input of ET model,was spatially simulated by using the conversion of land use and its effects at small regional extent(CLUE-S) to study the response of ET to land use change.Results show that the relative errors between the simulated ET and that calculated by using water balance equation were 3.81% and the index of agreement was 0.69.This indicates that Zhang's ET model based on revised plant-available water coefficient is a scientific and practical tool to estimate the annual ET in the alpine area.The annual ET in 2000 in the study area was 221.2 mm,11.6 mm more than that in 1980.Average annual ET decreased from southeast to northwest,but the change of annual ET between 1980 and 2000 increased from southeast to northwest.As a vast and sparsely populated area,the population in the TRH region was extremely unbalanced and land use change was concentrated in very small regions.Thus,land use change had little effect on total annual ET in the study area but a great impact on its spatial distribution,and the effect of land use change on ET decreased with increasing precipitation.ET was most sensitive to the interconversion between forest and unused land,and was least sensitive to the interconversion between cropland and low-covered grassland.LI Huixia LIU Guohua FU Bojie 2012Chinese Geographical Science2012,22,4:6
10Seasonal changes in the water-use strategies of three herbaceous species in a native desert steppe of Ningxia,China显示文摘Frequent periods of drought conditions are known to limit plant performance,primary production,and ecosystem stability in arid and semi-arid desert steppe environments.Plants often avoid competition by shifting their water use seasonally,which affects the water-use patterns of dominant species as well as the composition and structure of plant communities.However,the water-use strategies of dominant herbaceous species,which grow under natural field conditions in the desert steppe region of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,China,are poorly known.Here,we explored the possible sources of water uptake and water-use efficiency(WUE)of three dominant herbaceous plant species(Stipa breviflora,Agropyron mongolicum,and Glycyrrhiza uralensis)in a native desert steppe in the semi-arid area of Ningxia through an analysis of multiple parameters,including(1)the stable isotopic oxygen and hydrogen(δ18O andδ2H)compositions of precipitation,soil water,and stem water,(2)the carbon isotope(13C)composition of leaves,and(3)the soil water contents,based on field sampling across varying water conditions from June to September,2017.Frequent small precipitation events replenished shallow soil water,whereas large events only percolated down to the deep soil layers.Changes in soil water availability affected the water-use patterns of plants.Generally,during light precipitation periods,the deep root system of G.uralensis accessed deeper(>80 cm)soil water,whereas S.breviflora and A.mongolicum,which only have shallow roots,primarily absorbed water from the shallow and middle soil layers.As precipitation increased,all three plant species primarily obtained water from the shallow soil layers.Variation in soil water uptake between the dry and wet seasons enabled plants to make better use of existing satoil water.In addition,theδ13C values of G.uralensis and S.breviflora were higher than those of A.mongolicum.Theδ13C values of the three plant species were significantly negatively correlated with soil water content.Therefore,G.uralensis and S.breviflora maintained a higher WUE through their conservative and water-saving strategies across the entire growing season.In contrast,A.mongolicum,with a relatively low WUE in the wet season but a high WUE in the dry season,exhibited a more flexible water-use strategy.The different water-use strategies of these dominant plant species demonstrated the mechanisms by which plant communities can respond to drought.HU Haiying ZHU Lin LI Huixia XU Dongmei XIE Yingzhong 2021Journal of Arid Land2021,13,2:4

12The causes and processes responsible for rocky desertification in karst areas of southern China显示文摘The karst region of southern China is a fragile ecological zone with widespread rocky desertification. This paper describes the rocky desertification occurring in this region in terms of both natural and anthropogenic factors. During geological time periods, the region's changing environment governed the natural rocky desertification processes, whereas during historical and modern times, anthropogenic processes have been superimposed on these natural processes. Human activities have accelerated and exacerbated rocky desertification. The period from the beginning to the middle of the Qing dynasty was an important transitional period in which human activities began to exert a particularly strong influence on rocky desertification. Since then, the effect of anthropogenic factors has increasingly exceeded the effect of natural factors. The rocky desertification process in southern China's karst region combines surface ecological processes (including vegetation degradation and loss, soil erosion, surface water loss, and bedrock solution) with a reduction of the land's biological productivity, leading to degradation that produces rocky desert. 13Collaborative assembly-mediated siRNA delivery for relieving inflammation-induced insulin resistance显示文摘Obesity plays a primary causative role in insulin resistance and hyperglycemia that contributes to type 2 diabetes.Excess lipid storage in the liver renders activation of the resident macrophages and chronic secretion of inflammatory mediators,therefore causing or aggravating insulin resistance.Herein,we develop collaborative assemblies using a“one-pot”synthesis method for macrophage-specific delivery of small interfering RNAs(siRNAs)that target the inflammatory proteins.Ternary nanocomplex(NC)composed of the siRNA molecule,a synthetic thiol-bearing methacrylated hyaluronic acid(sm-HA)and protamine forms through an electrostatic-driven physical assembly,which is chemically crosslinked to acquire the collaboratively assembled nanocapsule(cNC)concurrently.The obtained cNC displays significantly higher stability than NC.Functional moieties as flexible assembly units can be easily equipped on cNC for long circulation,active targeting,or controlled siRNA release.cNC-F decorated with folic acid,a macrophage-targeting ligand promotes the siRNA accumulation in the activated macrophages in the liver of the obese mouse model.cNC-F loaded with siRNA targeting inflammatory indicators efficiently control the macrophage inflammatory response by reducing the expression of the inflammatory proteins(>40%reduction)and ameliorating the insulin resistance symptoms of the obese mice.Shiyang Shen Li Zhang Mengru Li Zhizi Feng Huixia Li Xiao Xu Shiqi Lin Ping Li Can Zhang Xiaojun Xu Ran Mo 2020Nano Research2020,13,11:2
14Hepatitis C virus-induced prion protein expression facilitates hepatitis C virus replication显示文摘Hepatitis C virus(HCV) infects approximately 180 million people worldwide. Significant progress has been made since the establishment of in vitro HCV infection models in cells. However, the replication of HCV is complex and not completely understood. Here, we found that the expression of host prion protein(Pr P) was induced in an HCV replication cell model. We then showed that increased Pr P expression facilitated HCV genomic replication. Finally, we demonstrated that the KKRPK motif on the N-terminus of Pr P bound nucleic acids and facilitated HCV genomic replication. 15A preliminary report on adjuvant analgesic efficacy of HANS in opioid tolerant patients with cancer pain显示文摘Objective: To observe the adjuvant analgesic efficacy of Han's Acupoint Nerve Stimulator(HANS) in opioid tolerant patients with cancer pain. Methods: A prospective non-controlled study was conducted. Opioid tolerant patients with cancer pain were enrolled and treated with both routinely analgesics and adjuvant HANS(2/100 Hz for 30 min/d, 5 d on and 2 d off for two weeks). Cancer pain, quality of life(QOL), anxiety and depression were assessed before enrollment and on d 8 and d 15 with the BPI-C, EORTC QLQ-C30, and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)/self-rating depression scale(SDS), respectively; the therapeutic frequency of breakthrough pain(BP) and daily opioid dose were also recorded. Results: Totally 47 patients meeting the inclusion criteria participated in this study; 43 patients completed the two-week treatment and assessment. The mean scores of patient's 'worst' and 'least' pain intensity assessed with BPI-C decreased significantly on d 8 and d 15; the therapeutic frequency of BP also significantly decreased; but the average daily dose of opioids did not change significantly. For the nine symptoms in EORTC QLQ-C30 assessment, the mean scores of pain, fatigue, constipation and insomnia were significantly lower on d 8 and d 15 compared with baseline; the mean scores of the overall health status, nausea/vomiting and the incidence rates of both anxiety and depression also decreased significantly on d 15.Conclusions: To opioid tolerant patients with cancer pain, adjuvant treatment with HANS could improve pain release and patients' QOL by decreasing the severity of pain, fatigue, constipation, insomnia and other concomitant symptoms; it could also decrease the incidence rates of anxiety and depression.Xiaomei Li Jianhua Zhu Pingping Li Guangqing Zhu Xiaoming Wu Huoming Chen Huixia Zhao Wei Wang Ying Zhang Wenhua Xiao Duanqi Liu 2014Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2014,26,2:2

18Incidence and Clinical Risk Factors for Preeclampsia and Its Subtypes:A Population-Based Study in Beijing,China显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to evaluate the incidence and associated clinical risk factors for preeclampsia(PE)and its subtypes in a large multicentre retrospective study of Beijing,China.Methods:This study was conducted as a secondary analysis from the Gestational diabetes mellitus Prevalence Survey(GPS),a multicentre retrospective cohort study,which included 15 hospitals in Beijing,China.This analysis included 15,003 pregnant women who delivered in Beijing from June 20th to November 30th,2013.The incidence of PE was calculated.Risk factors for PE,including maternal age,pre-gestational body mass index(BMI),parity,chronic hypertension,pre-existing diabetes,and gestational diabetes mellitus,were assessed.PE was defined as early-or late-onset PE based on clinical manifestations during the week of delivery,and mild or severe PE based on the severity of the disease.Logistic regression analysis was used to quantify the association with the risk factors,and data were displayed as odds risks(OR)and 95%confidence interval(CI).Results:The overall incidence of PE was 2.65%(397/15,003).The prevalence of early-onset and late-onset PE was 0.36%(54/15,003)and 2.29%(343/15,003),respectively.The prevalence of mild and severe PE was 0.91%(137/15,003)and 1.73%(260/15,003),respectively.Risk factors including high BMI considered overweight(adjusted odds risk(aOR):1.48;95%CI:1.06-2.05;P=0.02)and obesity(aOR:2.15;95%CI:1.50-3.08;P<0.001),nulliparity(aOR:1.73;95%CI:1.32-2.25;P<0.001),multiple gestation(aOR:4.58;95%CI:2.86-7.32;P<0.001),and chronic hypertension(aOR:34.95;95%CI:26.60-45.93;P<0.001),were associated with increased risk for PE.Only chronic hypertension(aOR:13.75;95%CI:4.78-39.58;P<0.001)was a significant risk factors for early-onset PE,whereas high BMI considered both overweight(aOR:1.54;95%CI:1.09-2.18;P=0.01)and obesity(aOR:2.23;95%CI:1.53-3.27;P<0.001),nulliparity(aOR:2.00;95%CI:1.49-2.68;P<0.001),multiple gestation(aOR:4.11;95%CI:2.40-7.05;P<0.001),and chronic hypertension(aOR:35.57;95%CI:26.66-47.47;P<0.001)were more relevant risk factors for late-onset PE.Risk factors including obesity(aOR:2.20;95%CI:1.28-3.76;P<0.01 and aOR:1.80;95%CI:1.16-2.80;P=0.01),nulliparity(aOR:2.28;95%CI:1.44-3.60;P<0.001 and aOR:1.48;95%CI:1.09-2.02;P=0.01),multiple gestation(aOR:5.50;95%CI:2.87-10.67;P<0.001 and aOR:3.51;95%CI:1.93-6.41;P<0.001),and chronic hypertension(aOR:33.98;95%CI:22.20-52.01;P<0.001 and aOR:35.03;95%CI:25.40-48.31;P<0.001)were associated with mild and severe PE.Moreover,we found that women with an increasing number of these risk factors had a higher risk of developing PE than pregnant women without any identified risk factors.Conclusion:The incidence of PE in this study is consistent with previous reported studies.Our findings indicate chronic hypertension and multiple gestation are the most important risk factors for PE in Chinese pregnant women.The risk for developing PE is associated with both the type and abundance of risk factors.These factors are valuable when monitoring patients at risk for PE,as this can help ensure an earlier diagnosis and prediction in women who are more likely to develop PE.Li Lin Jing Huai Rina Su Chen Wang Boya Li Huixia Yang 2021Maternal-Fetal Medicine2021,3,2:1

20Weakened interlayer coupling in two-dimensional MoSe2 flakes with screw dislocations显示文摘The screw dislocations are intriguing defects that are often observed in natural and artificial materials. The dislocation spirals break the reflection and inversion symmetries of the lattices and modify the interlayer coupling in layer-structured materials, inducing additional complexity in layer stacking and thus novel properties in materials. Here, we report on the interlayer coupling of two-dimensional (2D) MoSe2 flakes with screw dislocations by atomic force microscopy (AFM), Raman spectra and photoluminescence (PL) spectra. By controlling the supersaturation conditions, 2D MoSe2 flakes with screw dislocations are grown on amorphous SiO2 substrates by chemical vapor deposition (CVD). AFM measurements reveal that the interlayer spacing in such 2D MoSe2 flakes with screw dislocation is slightly widened with respect to the normal AA- or AB-stacked ones due to the presence of the screw dislocations. Raman and PL spectra show that the interlayer coupling is weaker and thus the band gap is wider than that in the normal AA- or AB-stacked ones.
