1Biomass-derived porous carbon highly efficient for removal of Pb(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ)显示文摘The utilization of abundant and renewable biomass to fabricate advanced functional materials is considered a promising route for environmental applications.Herein,Lignin-based porous carbon with layered graphene-like structure(LPC)is successfully synthesized and applied to efficiently remove Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ).The as-synthesized LPC materials are systematically characterized and these results show that LPC has a porous graphene-like structure,facilitating the diffusion and immobilization of heavy metal ions.The influence of different reaction parameters(solution pH,initial concentration of metal ions,contact time and adsorbent amount)on the adsorption performance is investigated in details.The results demonstrate that LPC can achieve superior adsorption capacities of 250.5 mg·g^-1 for Pb(Ⅱ)and 126.4 mg·g^-1 for Cd(Ⅱ),which are far superior to the previously reported adsorbents.Pseudo-second order kinetics model and Freundlich isotherm model describe the adsorption process well.Furthermore,the exhausted LPC can be regenerated easily and exhibits the removal efficiency of 96%and 92%for Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)after five continuous runs,respectively.This study shows a sustainable strategy for the design of porous carbon material from na?ve biomass and highlights the great potential in wastewater treatment.Anqi Wang Zhikeng Zheng Ruiqi Li Di Hu Yiran Lu Huixia Luo Kai Yan 2019Green Energy & Environment2019,4,4:10
2Percent free prostate-specific antigen for prostate cancer diagnosis in Chinese men with a PSA of 4.0-10.0 ng/mL:Results from the Chinese Prostate Cancer Consortium显示文摘Objective:To test the diagnostic performance of percent free prostate-specific antigen(%fPSA)in predicting any prostate cancer(PCa)and high-grade prostate cancer(HGPCa)in a retrospective multi-center biopsy cohort with a PSA level of 4.0e10.0 ng/mL in China.Methods:Consecutive patients with a PSA of 4.0-10.0 ng/mL who underwent transrectal ultrasound-guided biopsy were enrolled at 16 Chinese medical centers from January 1st,2010 to December 31st,2013.Total and free serum PSA determinations were performed using three types of electro-chemiluminescence immunoassays recalibrated to the World Health Organization(WHO)standard.The diagnostic accuracy of PSA,%fPSA,and %fPSA in combination with PSA(%fPSA t PSA)was determined using the area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve(AUC).Results:A total of 2310 consecutive men with PSA levels between 4.0 and 10.0 ng/mL were included,and the detection rate of PCa was 25.1%.The AUC of%fPSA and %fPSA t PSA in predicting any PCa was superior to PSA alone in men aged≥60 years(0.623 vs.0.534,p<0.0001)but not in men aged 40e59 years(0.517 vs.0.518,p=0.939).Similar result was yield in predicting HGPCa.Conclusion:In a clinical setting of Chinese men with 4.0e10.0 ng/mL PSA undergoing initial prostate biopsy,adding %fPSA to PSA can moderately improve the diagnostic accuracy for any PCa and HGPCa compared with PSA alone in patients≥60 but not in patients aged 40-59 years.Rui Chen Liping Xie Xiaobing Cai Yiran Huang Liqun Zhou Lulin Ma Xu Gao Chuanliang Xu Shancheng Ren Pengfei Shao Danfeng Xu Kexin Xu Zhangqun Ye Chunxiao Liu Dingwei Ye Li Lu Qiang Fu Jianquan Hou Jianlin Yuan Dalin He Tie Zhou Fubo Wang Biming He Yinghao Sun 2015Asian Journal of Urology2015,2,2:8
3Three-dimensional discharge simulation of inductively coupled plasma (ICP) etching reactor显示文摘More and more importance has been attached to inductively coupled plasma (ICP) in semiconductor manufacture. For a deep understanding of the plasma discharge process in the etching reactor, this study made a three-dimensional simulation on the Ar plasma discharge process with the commercial software CFD-ACE, which is according to the real experiment conditions and data supplied by North Microelec-tronic Corporation. The error of the simulation results is in the range of ±20% with credibility. The numerical results show that the three-dimentional spatial distribu-tion of electron density is reduced from the chamber center to the wall. 5Characteristics of plankton Hg bioaccumulations based on a global data set and the implications for aquatic systems with aggravating nutrient imbalance显示文摘The bioaccumulation of mercury(Hg)in aquatic ecosystem poses a potential health risk to human being and aquatic organism.Bioaccumulations by plankton represent a crucial process of Hg transfer from water to aquatic food chain.However,the current understanding of major factors affecting Hg accumulation by plankton is inadequate.In this study,a data set of 89 aquatic ecosystems worldwide,including inland water,nearshore water and open sea,was established.Key factors influencing plankton Hg bioaccumulation(i.e.,plankton species,cell sizes and biomasses)were discussed.The results indicated that total Hg(THg)and methylmercury(MeHg)concentrations in plankton in inland waters were significantly higher than those in nearshore waters and open seas.Bioaccumulation factors for the logarithm of THg and MeHg of phytoplankton were 2.4–6.0 and 2.6–6.7 L/kg,respectively,in all aquatic ecosystems.They could be further biomagnified by a factor of 2.1–15.1 and 5.3–28.2 from phytoplankton to zooplankton.Higher MeHg concentrations were observed with the increases of cell size for both phyto-and zooplankton.A contrasting trend was observed between the plankton biomasses and BAF_(MeHg),with a positive relationship for zooplankton and a negative relationship for phytoplankton.Plankton physiologic traits impose constraints on the rates of nutrients and contaminants obtaining process from water.Nowadays,many aquatic ecosystems are facing rapid shifts in nutrient compositions.We suggested that these potential influences on the growth and composition of plankton should be incorporated in future aquatic Hg modeling and ecological risk assessments.Zhike Li Jie Chi Zhenyu Wu Yiyan Zhang Yiran Liu Lanlan Huang Yiren Lu Minhaz Uddin Wei Zhang Xuejun Wang Yan Lin Yindong Tong 2022Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,3:1

7Nitrogen-doped pyrogenic carbonaceous matter facilitates azo dye decolorization by sulfide: The important role of graphitic nitrogen显示文摘Pyrogenic carbonaceous matter(PCM) catalyzes azo dye decolorization by sulfide, but the nitrogen doping catalytic mechanisms are poorly understood. In this study, we found that stagnate time of azo dye methyl orange(MO) decolorization was reduced to 0.54-18.28 min in the presence of various nitrogen-doped graphenes(NGs), remarkably lower compared to graphene itself. Particularly, graphitic nitrogen played a critical role in NGs-catalyzed MO decolorization by sulfide. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and in-situ surface Raman analysis demonstrated that doping nitrogen, especially graphite one facilitated reactive intermediate polysulfides formation. This is attributed to the improved electron conductivity through graphitic nitrogen doping, and the enhanced interactions between sulfide and carbon atoms bonded to graphitic nitrogen. 8Numerical investigation of flow over a two-dimensional square cylinder with a synthetic jet generated by a bi-frequency signal显示文摘The flow around a square cylinder with a synthetic jet positioned at the rear surface is numerically investigated with the unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(URANS)method.Instead of the typical sinusoidal wave,a bi-frequency signal is adopted to generate the synthetic jet.The bi-frequency signal consists of a basic sinusoidal wave and a high-frequency wave.Cases with various amplitudes of the high-frequency component are simulated.It is found that synthetic jets actuated by bi-frequency signals can realize better drag reduction with lower energy consumption when appropriate parameter sets are applied.A new quantity,i.e.,the actuation efficiency Ae,is used to evaluate the controlling efficiency.The actuation efficiency Ae reaches its maximum of 0.2668 when the amplitude of the superposed high-frequency signal is 7.5%of the basic signal.The vortex structures and frequency characteristics are subsequently analyzed to investigate the mechanism of the optimization of the bi-frequency signal.When the synthetic jet is actuated by a single-frequency signal with a characteristic velocity of 0.112 m/s,the wake is asymmetrical.The alternative deflection of vortex pairs and the peak at half of the excitation frequency in the power spectral density(PSD)function are detected.In the bi-frequency cases with the same characteristic velocity,the wake gradually turns to be symmetrical with the increase in the amplitude of the high-frequency component.Meanwhile,the deflection of the vortex pairs and the peak at half of the excitation frequency gradually disappear as well.Yiran LU Yuan QU Jiangsheng WANG Jinjun WANG 2022Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2022,43,10:1

11Epidemiological survey and genetic characterization of type 3 vaccine-derived poliovirus isolated from a patient with four doses of inactivated polio vaccine in Henan Province,China显示文摘Background:Vaccine-derived poliovirus(VDPV)is a potential threat to polio eradication because they can reintroduce into the general population and cause paralytic polio outbreaks,a phenomenon that has recently emerged as a prominent public health concern at the end of global polio eradication.This study aimed to describe the epidemiology and genetic characteristics of the frst VDPV identifed from a patient with acute faccid paralysis(AFP),with four doses of inactivated polio vaccine immunization in Henan Province,China in 2017.Methods:The patient was diagnosed with type 3 VDPV.Subsequently,a series of epidemiological approaches was implemented,including a retrospective search of AFP cases,rate of vaccination assessment,study of contacts,and supplementary immunization activities.Fecal samples were collected,viral isolation was performed,and the viral isolates were characterized using full-length genomic sequencing and bioinformatic analysis.Results:Phylogenetic analysis showed that the viral isolates from the patient were diferent from other reported genetic clusters of type 3 VDPV worldwide.They were identifed as a Sabin 3/Sabin 1 recombinant VDPV with a crossover site in the P2 region.Nucleotide substitutions,including U→C(472)and C→U(2493),have been identifed,both of which are frequently observed as reversion mutations in neurovirulent type 3 poliovirus.A unique aspect of this case is that the patient had been vaccinated with four doses of inactive polio vaccine,and the serum neutralizing antibody for Sabin types 1 and 3 were 1∶16 and 1∶512,respectively.Thus,the patient was speculated to have been infected with type 3 VDPV,and the virus continued to replicate and be excreted for at least 41 d.Conclusions:The existence of this kind of virus in human population is a serious risk and poses a severe challenge in maintaining a polio-free status in China.To the best of our knowledge,this is the frst report of VDPV identifed in the Henan province of China.Our results highlight the importance of maintaining a high-level vaccination rate and highly sensitive AFP case surveillance system in intercepting VDPV transmission.Mingyu Zhang Jianhui Yang Yiran Bai Hui Zhu Changshuang Wang Lu Zhang Jin Xu Mingxia Lu Xiaoxiao Zhang Zhanpei Xiao Yating Ma Yan Wang Xiaolei Li Dongyan Wang Shuangli Zhu Dongmei Yan Wenbo Xu Yong Zhang Yanyang Zhang 2022Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,6:0
12The effect of discharge conditions of ICP etching reactor on plasma parameters显示文摘This study investigated the inductively coupledplasma etching reactor and RF coils developed by NorthMicroelectronic Corporation. Full three dimensional simulationswere made at different discharge conditions. Thesimulations examined and compared the distribution andnon-uniformity of several plasma parameters at a fixed positionupon the wafer at different pressures and coil currents.These parameters included electron density, electron temperatureand power deposition. The results demonstrate that theelectron density, power deposition and uniformity increasewith either higher pressure or stronger coil currents, while theelectron temperature decreases at this condition. Coil numberincrease can reduce the non-uniformity of parametersin the spatial distribution. 15Therapeutic potential of an anti-HER2 single chain antibody-DM1 conjugates for the treatment of HER2-positive cancer显示文摘Antibody–drug conjugates(ADCs)take the advantage of monoclonal antibodies to selectively deliver highly potent cytotoxic drugs to tumor cells,which have become a powerful measure for cancer treatment in recent years.To develop a more effective therapy for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-positive cancer,we explored a novel ADCs composed of anti-HER2 scFv–HSA fusion antibodies conjugates with a potent cytotoxic drug DM1.The resulting ADCs,T-SA1–DM1 and T-SA2–DM1(drug-to-antibody ratio in the range of 3.2–3.5)displayed efficient inhibition in the growth of HER2-positive tumor cell lines and the half-maximal inhibitory concentration on SKBR-3 and SKOV3 cells were both at the nanomolar levels in vitro.In HER2-positive human ovarian cancer xenograft models,T-SA1–DM1 and T-SA2–DM1 also showed remarkable antitumor activity.Importantly,three out of six mice exhibited complete remission without regrowth in the high-dose group of T-SA1–DM1.On the basis of the analysis of luminescence imaging,anti-HER2 scFv–HSA fusion antibodies,especially T-SA1,showed strong and rapid tumor tissue penetrability and distribution compared with trastuzumab.Collectively,the novel type of ADCs is effective and selective targeting to HER2-positive cancer,and may be a promising antitumor drug candidate for further studies.Hang Zhang Yuxi Wang Yangping Wu Xiaohua Jiang Yiran Tao Yuqin Yao Yujia Peng Xiangzheng Chen Yuyin Fu Lin Yu Ruixue Wang Qinhuai Lai Weirong Lai Wenting Li Yuhuan Kang Shuli Yi Ying Lu Lantu Gou Min Wu Jinliang Yang 2017Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2017,2,1:0

17Lrrc34 Is Highly Expressed in SSCs and Is Necessary for SSC Expansi on In Vitro显示文摘Objective To discover critical genes contributing to the sternness and maintenance of spermatogonial stem cells(SSCs)and provide new insights into the function of the leucine-rich repeat(LRR)family member Lrrc34(leudne-rich repeat-containing 34)in SSCs from mice.Methods Bioinformatic methods,including differentially expressed gene(DEG),gene ontology(GO)enrichment and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway analyses,were used to uncover latent pluripotency-related genes.Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)and immunofluorescence analyses were utilized to verify the mRNA and protein expression levels,respectively.RNA interference of Lrrc34 using siRNA was performed to detect its transient impact on SSCs.Results Eight DEGs between ID4-EGFP+(G)and ID4-EGFP+/TSPAN8Hig11(TH),eight DEGs between G and ID4-EGFP+/TSPAN8Uw(TL)and eleven DEGs between TH and TL were discovered,and eleven proteinprotein interaction(PPI)modules were found to be significant in the PPI network of DEGs.One of the DEGs,Lrrc34,was selected as a potential pluripotency?related gene due to its differential expression among ID4-EGFP+spermatogonia subsets and its interaction with fibroblast growth factor 2 in the fifth module.Immunofluorescence experiments exhibited specific expression of Lrrc34 in a subpopulation of undifferentiated spermatogonia marked by LIN28A,and RT-PCR experiments confirmed the high expression of Lrrc34 in SSCs from P7 and adult mice.The transient knockdown of Lrrc34 in SSCs resulted in reduced colony sizes and significant changes in the transcriptome and apoptotic pathways.Conclusion Lrrc34 is highly expressed in mouse SSCs and is required for SSC proliferation in vitro through effects on transcriptome and signaling transduction pathways.Jinhuan Ou Yiran Li Zhipeng Wang Cheng Jin Kai Li Yan Lu Dingfeng Zou Pengyu Li Mengzhen Li Shiying Miao Linfang Wang Wei Song 2020Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2020,35,1:0
18Creating a semi-opened micro-cavity ovary through sacrificial microspheres as an in vitro model for discovering the potential effect of ovarian toxic agents显示文摘The bio-engineered ovary is an essential technology for treating female infertility.Especially the development of relevant in vitro models could be a critical step in a drug study.Herein,we develop a semi-opened culturing system(SOCS)strategy that maintains a 3D structure of follicles during the culture.Based on the SOCS,we further developed micro-cavity ovary(MCO)with mouse follicles by the microsphere-templated technique,where sacrificial gelatin microspheres were mixed with photo-crosslinkable gelatin methacryloyl(GelMA)to engineer a micro-cavity niche for follicle growth.The semi-opened MCO could support the follicle growing to the antral stage,secreting hormones,and ovulating cumulus-oocyte complex out of the MCO without extra manipulation.The MCO-ovulated oocyte exhibits a highly similar transcriptome to the in vivo counterpart(correlation of 0.97)and can be fertilized.Moreover,we found that a high ROS level could affect the cumulus expansion,which may result in anovulation disorder.The damage could be rescued by melatonin,but the end of cumulus expansion was 3h earlier than anticipation,validating that MCO has the potential for investigating ovarian toxic agents in vitro.We provide a novel approach for building an in vitro ovarian model to recapitulate ovarian functions and test chemical toxicity,suggesting it has the potential for clinical research in the future.Min Ye Yiran Shan Bingchuan Lu Hao Luo Binhan Li Yanmei Zhang Zixuan Wang Yuzhi Guo Liliang Ouyang Jin Gu Zhuo Xiong Ting Zhang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,8:0
19Synthesis and Performance of an Associative Anti-shear Drag Reducer Based on Hydrogen Bond Association of Dodecyl Methacrylate显示文摘Using K2S2O8-Na2SO3 as the redox initiation system,a hydrogen-bond-association-based dodecyl methacrylate system associative anti-shear drag reducer was synthesised by standard emulsion polymerisation.The reaction process was simple and gentle as well as safe and stable.Molecular design was carried out using molecular dynamics simulation methods.The results of infrared spectroscopy,thermogravimetric analysis,differential scanning calorimetry,gel chromatography,and laser light scattering showed that the reaction polymerisation was relatively complete,the product was uniform,the molecular weight distribution was controllable,and the synthesised polymer had good flexibility.The donor lauryl methacrylate-styrene-methacrylic acid(LMA-St-MAA)and acceptor lauryl methacrylate-styrene-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate(LMA-St-DMA)polymers had an associative intermolecular interaction force,which increased the molecular cluster size of the associative system complex.The complex had good shear resistance,and the test results of the tube pump shear test showed that the synthesised associative oil-soluble polymer drag reduction system exhibited better drag reduction rate performance than poly-α-olefins over repeated cycles.The research results provide a reference plan for minimising the number of station-to-station inputs,thereby ensuring the stability of oil pipelines and reducing transportation costs.Lu Yong Li Chenhao Li Hao Chen Yue Xu Dan Wang Yiran Meng Yeqiao Zhang Xiaolai 2023China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2023,25,1:0
