| 1 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 2 | Toll-like receptor 7 deficiency suppresses type 1 diabetes development by modulating B-cell differentiation and function显示文摘Innate immunity mediated by Toll-like receptors(TLRs),which can recognize pathogen molecular patterns,plays a critical role in type 1 diabetes development.TLR7 is a pattern recognition receptor that senses single-stranded RNAs from viruses and host tissue cells;however,its role in type 1 diabetes development remains unclear.In our study,we discovered that Tlr7-deficient(Tlr7^(−/−))nonobese diabetic(NOD)mice,a model of human type 1 diabetes,exhibited a significantly delayed onset and reduced incidence of type 1 diabetes compared with Tlr7-sufficient(Tlr7^(+/+))NOD mice.Mechanistic investigations showed that Tlr7 deficiency significantly altered B-cell differentiation and immunoglobulin production.Moreover,Tlr7^(−/−)NOD B cells were found to suppress diabetogenic CD4^(+)T-cell responses and protect immunodeficient NOD mice from developing diabetes induced by diabetogenic T cells.In addition,we found that Tlr7 deficiency suppressed the antigen-presenting functions of B cells and inhibited cytotoxic CD8^(+)T-cell activation by downregulating the expression of both nonclassical and classical MHC class I(MHC-I)molecules on B cells.Our data suggest that TLR7 contributes to type 1 diabetes development by regulating B-cell functions and subsequent interactions with T cells.Therefore,therapeutically targeting TLR7 may prove beneficial for disease protection. | Juan Huang Jian Peng James Alexander Pearson Georgios Efthimiou Youjia Hu Ningwen Tai Yanpeng Xing Luyao Zhang Jianlei Gu Jianping Jiang Hongyu Zhao Zhiguang Zhou F.Susan Wong Li Wen | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,2: | 3 |

| 8 | Genome-wide signatures of the geographic expansion and breeding of soybean显示文摘Soybean is a leguminous crop that provides oil and protein. Exploring the genomic signatures of soybean evolution is crucial for breeding varieties with improved adaptability to environmental extremes. We analyzed the genome sequences of 2,214 soybeans and proposed a soybean evolutionary route, i.e., the expansion of annual wild soybean(Glycine soja Sieb. & Zucc.) from southern China and its domestication in central China, followed by the expansion and local breeding selection of its landraces(G. max(L.) Merr.). We observed that the genetic introgression in soybean landraces was mostly derived from sympatric rather than allopatric wild populations during the geographic expansion. Soybean expansion and breeding were accompanied by the positive selection of flowering time genes, including GmSPA3c. The results showed that the critical micelle concentration (cmc) and the surface tension at cmc (γ_(cmc)) were both increased with the increase of number of hydroxyl groups (x) in the two series. The perfluorooctanesulfonate had smaller cmc but higherγ_(cmc) than perfluorooctanoate with the same counterion. The minimum molecular area of surface adsorption (A_(min)) of C_8F_(17)SO_3^-N^+H(C_2H_4OH)_x(C_2H_5)_(3-x) were 0.64, 0.57, 0.63 and 0.72 nm^2 while the A_(min) values of C_7F_(15)COO^-N^+H(C_2H_4OH)_x(C_2H_5)_(3-x) were 0.61, 0.62, 0.61 and 0.71 nm_2 when x=0, 1, 2 and 3,respectively.
