| 1 | Load Profiling and Its Application to Demand Response: A Review显示文摘The smart grid has been revolutionizing electrical generation and consumption through a two-way flow of power and information. As an important information source from the demand side, Advanced Metering Infrastructure(AMI) has gained increasing popularity all over the world. By making full use of the data gathered by AMI, stakeholders of the electrical industry can have a better understanding of electrical consumption behavior. This is a significant strategy to improve operation efficiency and enhance power grid reliability. To implement this strategy,researchers have explored many data mining techniques for load profiling. This paper performs a state-of-the-art,comprehensive review of these data mining techniques from the perspectives of different technical approaches including direct clustering, indirect clustering, clustering evaluation criteria, and customer segmentation. On this basis, the prospects for implementing load profiling to demand response applications, price-based and incentivebased, are further summarized. | 3 | Advances in optical engineering for future telescopes显示文摘Significant optical engineering advances at the University of Arizona are being made for design, fabrication, and construction of next generation astronomical telescopes. This summary review paper focuses on the technological advances in three key areas. First is the optical fabrication technique used for constructing next-generation telescope mirrors. Advances in ground-based telescope control and instrumentation comprise the second area of development. This includes active alignment of the laser truss-based Large Binocular Telescope(LBT) prime focus camera, the new MOBIUS modular cross-dispersion spectroscopy unit used at the prime focal plane of the LBT, and topological pupil segment optimization. Lastly, future space telescope concepts and enabling technologies are discussed. Among these, the Nautilus space observatory requires challenging alignment of segmented multi-order diffractive elements. The OASIS terahertz space telescope presents unique challenges for characterizing the inflatable primary mirror, and the Hyperion space telescope pushes the limits of high spectral resolution, far-UV spectroscopy. The Coronagraphic Debris and Exoplanet Exploring Pioneer(CDEEP) is a Small Satellite(Small Sat) mission concept for high-contrast imaging of circumstellar disks and exoplanets using vector vortex coronagraph. | 5 | Causes of immune dysfunction in hyperbilirubinemia model rats显示文摘Objective:To explore the causes of immune dysfunction in neonatal rats with hyperbilirubinemia.Methods:A total of 60 newborn SD rats were equally randomized into normal saline(NS) group,LPS control group,bilirubin control group,low-dose group and high-dose group.After anesthesia,0.1 mL NS was given to the NS and LPS control group and different doses of bilirubin for the other groups;1 h later,the NS and bilirubin control group received the intraperitoneal injection of 0.05 mL NS and 1mg/kg LPS for the other groups.After 5 or 24 hours of model establishment,spleens were collected for detecting the expression levels of MyD88 and p-TAK1 protein and the spleen cells apoptosis by immunohistochemmistry and TUNEL method.After 24 hours of model establishment,scrum inflammatory factors levels and T cell subsets distribution were determined by ELISA and flow cytometry.Results:In contrast to low-dose bilirubin,high-dose bilirubin could induce spleen cells apoptosis in coordination with LPS.After 5 hours of model establishment,compared with NS group.MyD88 expression level in low-dose group elevated while p-TAK1 level in high-dose group reduced(P<0.05).In high-dose group,inflammotory factors levels and CD8^+T cells percentage were all higher than LPS control and NS group(P<0.05),while CD4^+ T cells percentage was lower than NS group(P<0.05).Conclusions:High-concentration plasma bilirubin in coordination with LPS could inhibit NF- κB signal pathways activation and aggravate inflammatory reaction,thus caused immunosuppression with inflammation cascade,which resulted in the immune dysfunction. | Xiao-Min Sun Ping Kang Ke Tao | 2015 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2015,8,5: | 8 |

| 7 | Magnetic resonance evaluation of transplanted mesenchymal stem cells after myocardial infarction in swine显示文摘Objectives To trace and evaluate intracoronary transplanted mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) labeled with superparamagnetic iron oxide(SPIO) by using magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) in a swine model of myocardial infarction (MI).Methods MSCs were transfected with a lentiviral vector carrying the gene encoding green fluorescent protein (GFP) and labeled in vitro with SPIO.Two weeks after MI, swine were randomized to intracoronary transplantation of dual -labeled MSCs(n = 10),MSCs-GFP(n = 10) and saline(n = 5).MRI examination was performed with a 1.5T clinical scanner at 24 hours,3 weeks and 8 weeks after cells transplantation. Signal intensity(SI) changes,cardiac function and MI size were measured using MRI.Correlation between MR findings and histomorphologic findings was also investigated. Results The labeling efficiency at a combination of 25μg Fe/ml SPIO and 0.8 pi/ml Lipofectamine 2000 reached 100%.SPIO labeling did not affect GFP fluorescence and dual-labeling did not affect cell proliferation(P>0.05). Multipotentiality was not affected especially for cardiomyocyte-like cells differentiation.Cardiac cell marker of a-MHC and actinin were positively expressed by immunofluorescence staining after induction.SI on T2 * WI decreased substantial- ly in the interventricular septum 24 hours after injection of MSCs.The intensity of hypo-intense signals appeared to increase throughout the later time points.Changes in SI at 24 hours,3 weeks and 8 weeks were 52.98%±10.74%,21.53%±5.40%and 6.23%±2.01%,respectively(P<0.01).DE-MRI demonstrated both dual-labeled MSCSs and MSCs-GFP could dramatically reduce the size of MI and improve cardiac function. Histological data revealed that prussian blue stain-positive cells were found mainly in the border zone which also showed green fluorescence but negative for macrophage marker(CD68).Gross pathologic examination revealed that engrafted MSCs dramatically reduce the extent of necrotic myocardium and promote the regeneration of new,contractile myocardium along the subendocardial surface of the MI. | 11 | Effects of supply air temperature and inlet location on particle dispersion in displacement ventilation rooms显示文摘The effects of supply temperature and vertical location of inlet air on particle dispersion in a displacement ventilated (DV) room were numerically modeled with validation by experimental data from the literature. The results indicate that the temperature and vertical location of inlet supply air did not greatly affect the air distribution in the upper parts of a DV room, but could signiflcantly influence the airflow pattern in the lower parts of the room, thus affecting the indoor air quality with contaminant sources located at the lower level, such as particles from working activities in an offlce. The numerical results also show that the inlet location would slightly influence the relative ventilation efflciency for the same air supply volume, but particle concentration in the breathing zone would be slightly lower with a low horizontal wall slot than a rectangular diffuser. Comparison of the results for two different supply temperatures in a DV room shows that, although lower supply temperature means less incoming air volume, since the indoor flow is mainly driven by buoyancy, lower supply temperature air could more efflciently remove passive sources (such as particles released from work activities in an offlce). However, in the breathing zone it gives higher concentration as compared to higher supply air temperature. | 12 | EFFECTS OF ENTERAL AND PARENTERAL NUTRITION ON GASTROENTERIC HORMONES AND GASTRIC MOTILITY AFTER SUBTOTAL GASTRECTOMY显示文摘Objective To investigate the effects of enteral nutrition(EN)and parenteral nutrition(PN)on gastric motility and gastroenteric hormones after subtotal gastrectomy.Methods Forty-one patients underwent gastrectomy were randomly divided into EN group(n=20)and PN group(n=21).From the first postoperative day to the seventh day,patients received either EN(EN group)or PN(PN group)with isocaloric(84.9 kJ·kg-1·d-1)and isonitrogenous(0.11 g·kg-1·d-1)intake.Serum gastrin(GAS),plasma motilin(MTL),and plasma cholecystokinin(CCK)were measured on preoperative day,the first and seventh postoperative day.Electrogastrography(EGG)was measured on preoperative day and the seventh postoperative day.Results Compared with preoperation,blood GAS,MTL,and CCK levels of 41 patients decreased significantly on the first day after subtotal gastrectomy(P<0.001),but returned to the preoperative levels one week later.EGG after gastrectomy showed that gastric basal electrical rhythm was significantly restrained(P<0.001).On the seventh day after subtotal gastrectomy,plasma MTL and CCK levels in EN group were higher than those in PN group(P<0.05).There was no difference in GAS level between two groups.EGG in EN group was better than that in PN group postoperatively.Conclusions The levels of gastroenteritic hormones and the gastric motility decrease significantly after subtotal gastrectomy.In contrast with PN,EN can accelerate the recovery of MTL,CCK,and gastric motility after subtotal gastrectomy. | Wei-ming Kang Jian-chun Yu Qun Zhang Mei-yun Ke Jia-ming Qian | 2008 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2008,23,2: | 4 |

Owing to their various compositi ons and tun able electronic properties, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have the great potential to realize high-efficiency catalysts for ORR. Here, various 3R-phase dichalcogenides of group VB and VIB transition metals (MX2, M = Nb, Ta, Mo, W;X = S, Se, Te) are investigated for ORR catalysts by using density functional theory calculations. The computed over-potentials of group VB TMDs are much less than those of group VIB TMDs. For group VB TMDs, a volcano-type plot of ORR catalytic activity is established on the adsorption energies of *OH, and NbS2 and TaTe2 exhibit best ORR activity with an oveepotential of 0.54 V. To achieve even better activity, strain engineering is performed to tune ORR catalytic activity, and the minimum over-potential of 0.43 V can be realized. | 17 | Comprehensive identification and analyses of the Hsf gene family in the whole-genome of three Apiaceae species显示文摘Apiaceae is a major family from Apiales and includes many important vegetable and medicinal crops.Heat shock transcription factors(Hsf)play important roles in heat tolerance during plant development.Here,we conducted systematic analyses of the Hsf gene family in three Apiaceae species,including 17 Apium graveolens(celery),32 Coriandrum sativum(coriander),and 14 Daucus carota(carrot).A total of 73 Hsf genes were identified in three representative species,including Arabidopsis thaliana,Vitis vinifera,and Lactuca sativa.Whole-genome duplication played important roles in the Hsf gene family’s expansion within Apiaceae.Interestingly,we found that coriander had more Hsf genes than celery and carrot due to greater expansion and fewer losses.Twenty-seven branches of the phylogenetic tree underwent considerable positive selection in these Apiaceae species.We also explored the expression patterns of Hsf genes in three plant organs.Collectively,this study will serve as a rich gene resource for exploring the molecular mechanisms of heat tolerance.Additionally,this is the first study to report on the Hsf gene family in Apiaceae;thus,our research will provide guidance for future comparative and functional genomic studies on the Hsf gene family and others in Apiaceae. | Qiaoying Pei Tong Yu TongWu Qihang Yang Ke Gong Rong Zhou Chunlin Cui Ying Yu Wei Zhao Xi Kang Rui Cao Xiaoming Song | 2021 | Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,5: | 3 |
| 18 | Efficient computation method for two-dimensional nonlinear waves显示文摘The theory and simulation of fully-nonlinear waves in a truncated two-dimensional wave tank in time domain are presented. A piston-type wave-maker is used to generate gravity waves into the tank field in finite water depth. A damping zone is added in front of the wave-maker which makes it become one kind of absorbing wave-maker and ensures the prescribed Neumann condition. The efficiency of numerical tank is further enhanced by installation of a sponge layer beach (SLB) in front of downtank to absorb longer weak waves that leak through the entire wave train front. Assume potential flow, the space- periodic irrotational surface waves can be represented by mixed Euler-lagrange particles Solving the integral equation at each time step for new normal velocities, the instantaneous free surface is integrated following time history by use of fourth-order Runge- Kutta method. The double node technique is used to deal with geometric discontinuity at the wave- body intersections. Several precise smoothing methods have been introduced to treat surface point with high curvature. No saw-tooth like instability is observed during the total simulation.
