1Design and indoor simulated experiment of pneumatic rice seed metering device显示文摘In order to meet the agronomy demand for hybrid rice direct seeding,a novel precise pneumatic rice seed metering device was designed with groups of sucking holes plate,by which 3-4 seeds could be synchronously sucked and synchronously dropped into the paddy field.The plate was divided into five sections:seed sucking,seed clearing,seed carrying,seed dropping,and blank sections.The seeds were sucked in sucking section by the vacuum,carried and rotated to the dropping section with the plate,blown away in dropping section by the positive pressure air,and thrown into the dropping tube.The influences of the hole diameter,vacuum degree,and clear-up equipment on precision of metering device were discussed.Experiments were conducted to investigate the seeding precision and simulate the field emergence rates on the indoor seeding test-bed.The subjects were pregnant Indic hybrid Peizataifeng under two kinds of moisture content(23.43%and 26.07%).Other experiment conditions included the vacuum degree of 2.60 kPa,the rotation speed of seed sucking plate of 30 r/min,three sucking holes with a diameter of 1.6 mm,and the seed layer thickness of 25 mm.The seeding results showed that,in condition of no more than two seeds per hill,the emergence probabilities under the two moisture contents were 11.82%and 11.95%,respectively,and in condition of 3-4 seeds per hill,the results were 64.81%and 65.84%,respectively.With 2-5 seeds per hill,the results were 92.08%and 92.60%,respectively.If the emergence probability was 80%,under the two moisture contents,the no seed per hill probabilities were 1.33%and 0.80%respectively;the probabilities with 3-4 seeds per hill were 56.13%and 56.40%respectively;the probabilities with 5 or more seeds per hill were 10.67%and 10.13%respectively;the probabilities with 2-5 seeds per hill were 87.60%and 88.13%respectively.The results showed the simulated experiment was an efficient and economic method to assess the capability of pneumatic rice seed drilling metering device,and the precise pneumatic rice seed drilling metering device had a good prospect in practical application.Zhang Guozhong Zang Ying Luo Xiwen Wang Zaiman Zhang Qiang Zhang Shasha 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,4:19
2Phytosterol content and the campesterol:sitosterol ratio influence cotton fiber development: role of phytosterols in cell elongation显示文摘Phytosterols play an important role in plant growth and development,including cell division,cell elongation,embryogenesis,cellulose biosynthesis,and cell wall formation.Cotton fiber,which undergoes synchronous cell elongation and a large amount of cellulose synthesis,is an ideal model for the study of plant cell elongation and cell wall biogenesis.The role of phytosterols in fiber growth was investigated by treating the fibers with tridemorph,a sterol biosynthetic inhibitor.The inhibition of phytosterol biosynthesis resulted in an apparent suppression of fiber elongation in vitro or in planta.The determination of phytosterol quantity indicated that sitosterol and campesterol were the major phytosterols in cotton fibers;moreover,higher concentrations of these phytosterols were observed during the period of rapid elongation of fibers.Furthermore,the decrease and increase in campesterol:sitosterol ratio was associated with the increase and decease in speed of elongation,respectively,during the elongation stage.The increase in the ratio was associated with the transition from cell elongation to secondary cell wall synthesis.In addition,a number of phytosterol biosynthetic genes were down-regulated in the short fibers of ligon lintless-1mutant,compared to its near-isogenic wild-type TM-1.These results demonstrated that phytosterols play a crucial role in cotton fiber development,and particularly in fiber elongation.Shasha Deng Ting Wei Kunling Tan Mingyu Hu Fang Li Yunlan Zhai Shue Ye Yuehua Xiao Lei Hou Yan Pei Ming Luo 2016Science China(Life Sciences)2016,59,2:5

4Association between thyroid hormone levels and frailty in the community-dwelling oldest-old: a cross-sectional study显示文摘Background:Changes in thyroid hormone levels are commonly recognized characters among the elderly,which were reported to potentially influence incident frailty.Therefore,we examined the cross-sectional associations of thyroid hormones(THs)with frailty as well as the five components characterizing frailty(fatigue,resistance,ambulation,number ofillnesses,and loss of weight)among the oldest-old.Methods:Four hundred and eighty-seven community-dwelling oldest-old from a local community in Haidian District,Beijing,participated in our recruitment campaign between April 2019 and May 2020.The primary outcomes were a definitive diagnosis of frailty according to the FRAIL scale(Fatigue,Resistance,Ambulation,Illnesses,Loss of weight)and a positive score for each frailty subdomain.Demographic information(age,sex,marital status,and educational status),comorbidities,and details on the participants lifestyles were recorded.Serum THs including free triodothyronin(fT3),triiodothyronine(T3),free thyroxine(fT4),and thyroxine(T4)and thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)levels were also measured at the beginning of our study.Logistic regressions were conducted to screen for potential risk factors for frailty and its subdomains.Results:Among the total 487 subjects at enrollment,60(12.23%)of them were diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism and 110(22.59%)of the total population scored positive for frailty.Logistic regression analyses adjusted for all potential confounders,showed that frailty was significantly associated with the serum TSH concentration(odds ratio[OR]:1.06),fT3 concentration(OR:0.54),and subclinical hypothyroidism score(OR:2.18).The association between fT4 and frailty was absent in our observational study.The fT3/fT4 ratio characterizing peripheral hormone conversion was also tested to be correlated with frailty.Conclusion:Subclinical hypothyroidism,higher TSH level,lower fT3 level,and decreased fT3/fT4 ratio were all associated with frailty assessed by the FRAIL scale among the community-dwelling oldest-old,suggesting a relevant role of thyroid function in aging.Future longitudinal studies are warranted to determine the casual relationship between thyroid dysfunction and frailty in the oldest-old.Bo Guan Jiakun Luo Xin Huang Fan Tian Shasha Sun Yufei Ma Yan Yu Ruihan Liu Jian Cao Li Fan 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,16:2
5Systemic Vasculitis:An Important and Underestimated Cause of Malignant Hypertension显示文摘Objectives:Malignant hypertension(MHT)is defi ned as severe hypertension accompanied by ischemic failure of one or more organs.The aims of this study were to evaluate the current clinical and etiologic profi les of MHT.Methods:As a retrospective study,we selected all patients admitted to our center from January 2013 to December 2016.Seventy patients with MHT were included.Results:The average age of the patients was 40 years,and more than half of the patients were male(78.57%).There were 24 patients with essential hypertension,accounting for 34.29%of the patients,and 46 with secondary hypertension,accounting for 65.71%of the patients.For secondary MHT,systemic vasculitis(25.57%)was the most common cause,followed by severe obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(15.71%),primary renal parenchymal hypertension(11.43%),primary aldosteronism(7.14%),and Cushing syndrome(1.43%)and nutcracker phenomenon(1.43%).Twenty patients with systemic vasculitis were characterized by severe hypertension accompanied by damage to two or more target organs of differing severity.The levels of white blood cells,hypersensitive C-reactive protein,serum creatinine,and 24-hour urinary protein were above their normal range.Conclusion:Systemic vasculitis may be one of the main causes of MHT,and has been underestimated in the past.In future clinical work,clinicians need to pay more attention to patients with systemic vasculitis.Qing Zhu Shasha Liu Mulalibieke Heizhati Xiaoguang Yao Menghui Wang Qin Luo Lei Wang Delian Zhang Guijuan Chang Nanfang Li 2019Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications2019,,B07:2
6Approaching ohmic contact to two-dimensional semiconductors显示文摘Two-dimensional semiconductors have attracted immense research interests owing to their intriguing properties and promising applications in electronic and optoelectronic devices.However,the performance of these devices is drastically hindered by the large Schottky barrier at the electric contact interface,which is hardly tunable due to the Fermi level pinning effect.In this review,we will analyze the root causes of the contact problems for the two-dimensional semiconductor devices and summarize the strategies on the basis of different contact geometries,aiming to lift out the Fermi level pinning effect and achieve the ohmic contact.Moreover,the remarkable improvement of the device performance thanks to these optimized contacts will be emphasized.At the end,the merits and limitations of these strategies will be discussed as well,which potentially gives a guideline for handling the electric contact issues in two-dimensional semiconductors devices.Kailang Liu Peng Luo Wei Han Sanjun Yang Shasha Zhou Huiqiao Li Tianyou Zhai 2019Science Bulletin2019,64,19:2
7Inhibitory effect of oridonin on proliferation of RPMI8226 cells and the possible underlying mechanism显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of oridonin on proliferation and apoptosis of myeloma RPMI8226cells and to investigate the potential underlying mechanisms.METHODS:RPMI8226 cells were treated with various concentrations of oridonin.Cell proliferation was analyzed using the thiazolyl blue tetrazolium bromide method.Ultramicrostructure was observed by transmission electron microscopy.Annexin-V/PI staining and flow cytometry was performed to determine cell apoptosis.Expression of apoptosis-related proteins was evaluated by western blot analysis.RESULTS:Oridonin suppressed the proliferation of RPMI8226 cells and induced apoptosis in a timeand dose-dependent manner.Transmission electron microscopy confirmed apoptotic morphologyupon treatment with 20μmol/L oridonin and western blot revealed decreased expressions of the apoptosis suppressors survivin,Bcl-2 and pro-caspase-3 proteins,and the increased expression of the apoptosis inducer Bax.CONCLUSION:Our results show that oridonin exhibits an inhibitory effect on the proliferation of RPMI8226 cells and induces apoptosis.This is associated with altering the balance between Bcl-2 and Bax protein expressions and decreased survivin and pro-caspase-3 expressions.Hao Yaning Zhao Fei Luo Yuanyuan Zhang Mei Li Shasha 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,2:1
8A new species of the genus Tylototriton (Amphibia: Urodela: Salamandridae) from the Eastern Dalou Mountains in Guizhou, China显示文摘A new newt species,Tylototriton daloushanensis Zhou,Xiao&Luo,sp.nov.,is described from Guizhou,China,based on phylogenetic and morphological analyses.Phylogenetic analyses based on mitochondrial 16S and ND2 genes show that the new species is an independent lineage closely related to T.maolanensis,T.broadoridgus,T.dabienicus,T.anhuiensis,and T.wenxianensis.Morphologically,the new species is distinguished from its congeners by a combination of the following morphological characters:(1)large body size(SVL 64.7–83.6 mm in male and 70.5–100.3 mm in female);(2)head longer than wide,prominent bony ridges present;(3)snout rounded in dorsal view;(4)tail length less than snoutvent length in both males and females;(5)dark black body coloration,except for bright orange cranial region,palms and soles,vent region,and ventral ridge of tail;(6)relative length of toes Ⅲ>Ⅳ>Ⅱ>Ⅰ>Ⅴ;(7)fingertips reaching to between the eyes and nostrils when the forelimbs are stretched forward;(8)distal tip of the limbs greatly overlapping when the fore and hind limbs are pressed along the trunk;(9)presence of gular fold;(10)vertebral ridge slightly segmented,slightly flattened rib nodules,indistinct interspaces between rib nodules;and(11)lacking orange color markings on posterior parotoids and rib nodules.The found of the new species suggests that the species diversity of the genus Tylototriton may be underestimated.Tao Luo Shasha Yan Ning Xiao Wei Li Huaiqing Deng Jiang Zhou 2022Zoological Systematics2022,47,1:1

17Long-term fertilization and residue return affect soil stoichiometry characteristics and labile soil organic matter fractions显示文摘Ecological stoichiometry provides the possibility for linking microbial dynamics with soil carbon(C),nitrogen(N),and phosphorus(P)metabolisms in response to agricultural nutrient management.To determine the roles of fertilization and residue return with respect to ecological stoichiometry,we collected soil samples from a 30-year field experiment on residue return(maize straw)at rates of 0,2.5,and 5.0 Mg ha^-1 in combination with 8 fertilization treatments:no fertilizer(F0),N fertilizer,P fertilizer,potassium(K)fertilizer,N and P(NP)fertilizers,N and K(NK)fertilizers,P and K(PK)fertilizers,and N,P,and K(NPK)fertilizers.We measured soil organic C(SOC),total N and P,microbial biomass C,N,and P,water-soluble organic C and N,KMnO4-oxidizabIe C(KMnO4-C),and carbon management index(CMI).Compared with the control(F0 treatment without residue return),fertilization and residue return significantly increased the KMn〇4-C content and CMI.Furthermore,compared with the control,residue return significantly increased the SOC content.Moreover,the NPK treatment with residue return at 5.0 Mg ha^-1 significantly enhanced the C:N,C:P,and N:P ratios in the soil,whereas it significantly decreased the C:N and C:P ratios in soil microbial biomass.Therefore,NPK fertilizer application combined with residue return at 5.0 Mg ha^-1 could enhance the SOC content through the stoichiometric plasticity of microorganisms.Residue return and fertilization increased the soil C pools by directly modifying the microbial stoichiometry of the biomass that was C limited.Shasha LUO Qiang GAO Shaojie WANG Lei TIAN Qi ZHOU Xiujun LI Chunjie TIAN 2020Pedosphere2020,30,5:1
18IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF TGFβ_1 GENE PROTEIN IN SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA OF ESOPHAGUS显示文摘The expression of TGFβ 1 protein in normal esophageal mucosa (EM), esophageal epithelia dysplasia (EED) and squamous cell carcinoma of esophagus (SCCE) were examined immunohistochemically. In order to discover how TGFβ 1 would express in EM, EED and SCCE, wether the rate of TGFβ 1 positive expression might show any correlation with established histologic grade and the presence of lymph node metastasis in SCCE. The results indicate that there isn’t expression in normal cells of EM; The rates of TGFβ 1 positive expression are 62 8% in cells of EED and 77 1% in cells of SCCE, which has statisticaly significant difference compared with EM group. The positive rate of TGFβ 1 increases successively in the order to EM→well EED→moderately EED→poorly EED→SCCE. It suggests that early examination of expression of TGFβ 1 could help predict the occurrence of esophageal cancer. 19Central swallowing in normal adults using functional magnetic resonance imaging显示文摘BACKGROUND:While brain-imaging studies in healthy adults have indicated that multiple cortical regions are involved in swallowing,these functional imaging techniques have not been extensively applied to the complete understand neurophysiology of swallowing in China.A full understanding of normal swallowing neurophysiology is important for improving functional outcomes for dysphagia due to neurologic disorders or damage with increasing age.Thus the interpretations of the functional contributions of various brain areas in swallowing should be scientifically researched. OBJECTIVE:To identify the activation and characteristic of swallowing center in healthy adults using functional magnetic resonance imaging. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:An uncontrolled neuroimaging study was performed at the Outpatient Clinic,Department of Radiology,West China Hospital of Sichuan University between March and November 2008. PARTICIPANTS:Ten healthy right-handed volunteers,aged over 20 years with a mean age of(34.2±8.1) years,a range of 25-45 years and including five males and five females participated.A medical history was obtained from all potential subjects and all subjects were free of systemic diseases and neurological disorders. METHODS:The healthy volunteers were examined with event-related functional magnetic resonance imaging of blood oxygenation level-dependent while laryngeal swallow-related movements were recorded.Subjects were scanned during voluntary saliva swallowing and water bolus swallowing activation tasks.Data was processed using the General Linear Model.A voxel by voxel group comparison was performed using random effect analysis.Any cluster with a corrected P<0.05 for spatial extent was considered significant. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:The cerebral cortical activation maps of voluntary swallowing of saliva and swallowing of water bolus in healthy adults were observed. RESULTS:A multifocal cortical representation of swallowing was in the precentral gyrus,postcentral gyrus,insula,anterior cingulate gyrus,thalamus,basal ganglia and cerebellum,in a bilateral and asymmetrical manner,predominantly on the left hemisphere in the volunteers(P<0.05). 20Efficient light-driven reductive amination of furfural to furfurylamine over ruthenium-cluster catalyst显示文摘Selective reductive amination of carbonyl compounds with high activity is very essential for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry,but scarcely successful paradigm was reported via efficient photocatalytic reactions.Herein,the ultrasmall Ru nanoclusters(~0.9 nm)were successfully fabricated over P25 support with positive charged Ru^(δ+)species at the interface.A new route was developed to achieve the furfural(FAL)to furfurylamine(FAM)by coupling the light-driven reductive amination and hydrogen transfer of ethanol over this type catalyst.Strikingly,the photocatalytic activity and selectivity are strongly dependent on the particle size and electronic structure of Ruthenium.The Ru^(δ+)species at the interface promote the formation of active imine intermediates;moreover,the Ru nanoclusters facilitate the separation efficiency of electrons and holes as well as accelerate the further hydrogenation of imine intermediates to product primary amines.In contrast Ru particles in larger nanometer size facilitate the formation of the furfuryl alcohol and excessive hydrogenation products.In addition,the coupling byproducts can be effectively inhibited via the construction of sub-nanocluster.This study offers a new path to produce the primary amines from biomass-derived carbonyl compounds over hybrid semiconductor/metal-clusters photocatalyst via light-driven tandem catalytic process.Zhen Xue Shasha Wu Yujing Fu Lan Luo Min Li Zhenhua Li Mingfei Shao Lirong Zheng Ming Xu Haohong Duan 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,1:0
