2Effects of Cl- Ions on the Corrosion Behaviour of Low Alloy Steel in Deaerated Bicarbonate Solutions显示文摘The effect of Cl-ions on corrosion evolution of Ni Cu low alloy steel during immersion tests(up to 70days) in deaerated 0.05 mol/L bicarbonate solutions was investigated by in-situ electrochemical measurements combined with X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and electron probe microanalysis(EPMA) characterisations. The results showed that due to the acceleration of substrate dissolution in the presence of Cl-, corrosion of Ni Cu low alloy steel underwent only two stages, i.e., a quick oxidation process followed by a final metastable passive state, without the initial slow anodic dissolution as observed in the Cl--free bicarbonate solution. The main components of the formed rust layer in the Cl--free bicarbonate solution were α-Fe OOH and Fe)_3O_4 , while apart from α-Fe OOH, (Fe)_6(OH)_(12)(CO)_3 was found evident instead of (Fe)_3O_4 in the Cl--containing solution. 4A retrospective analysis of the safety and efficacy of apatinib in treating advanced metastatic colorectal cancer显示文摘Objective Colorectal cancer(CRC) is a heterogeneous disease in which both epigenetic alterations and gene mutations transform normal cells into cancer cells. Apart from a variety of standard treatments, there are few options available to improve a CRC patient's overall survival(OS) and quality of a life. The objective of the present retrospective study was to analyze the response and toxicity associated with apatinib in patients with metastatic CRC(m CRC).Method Data on the use of apatinib as salvage therapy were collected from patients diagnosed with m CRC, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG) performance status ≤ 3, from the Luhe Hospital. A total of 17 patients with stage IV unresectable m CRC, who received at least one cycle of apatinib, between October 2015 and February 2017, were involved in this study. Our primary endpoints were the overall response rate(ORR) and disease control rate(DCR), and the secondary objectives were progression-free survival(PFS), OS and safety.Result Seventeen patients with a median age of 62 years(34–83 years) were enrolled. Twelve patients were male, and the location of the primary tumor was in the colon and the rectum in 9 and 8 patients, respectively. Liver metastasis was observed in 9 patients and lung metastasis in 5. The ECOG performance status was 0 to 2 in 13 patients. The ORR at the first evaluation was 17.6 %(3/17). The DCR was 82.4%(14/17). The median PFS was 3.0 months(95% confidence interval(CI): 1.924–4.076 months) and the median OS was 5.4 months(95% CI: 3.383–7.417 months). Grade 1–2 adverse events included hypertension(52.9%), fatigue(64.7%), anorexia(29.4%), hoarseness(23.5%), proteinuria(23.5%), and development of rashes(17.6%). Grade 3 adverse events included thrombocytopenia(5.9%) and proteinuria(5.9%). There were no Grade 4 adverse events in our analysis.Conclusions Apatinib was found to be both safe and effective in the treatment of advanced m CRC, and its associated toxicities were acceptable and manageable. 5Novel biallelic TRNT1 mutations lead to atypical SIFD and multiple immune defects显示文摘Mutations in the gene encoding transfer RNA(tRNA)nucleotidyltransferase,CCAadding 1(TRNT1),an enzyme essential for the synthesis of the 30-terminal CCA sequence in tRNA molecules,are associated with a rare syndrome of congenital sideroblastic anemia,B cell immunodeficiency,periodic fevers,and developmental delay(SIFD).Clinical manifestations and immunological phenotypes were assessed in a Chinese patient with novel compound heterozygous mutations in TRNT1.The patient required multiple hospitalizations starting at the age of 2 years for recurrent fevers without an infective cause.During the febrile episode,the patient was found to have microcytic hypochromic anemia,B cell lymphopenia,and hypogammaglobulinemia.Targeted gene sequencing identified novel compound heterozygous mutations in the TRNT1 gene(c.525delT,p.Leu176X;c.938T>C,p.Leu313Ser).Immunophenotyping revealed increased CD8^+T cells,CD4^+ terminally differentiated effector memory helper T lymphocytes(CD4 TEMRA),and CD4^+ effector memory lymphocytes(CD4 EM).Analysis of CD4^+T subsets identified decreased T follicular helper cells(Tfh)with a biased phenotype to Th2-like cells.The patient also showed a lower percentage of switched memory B(smB)cells.Additionally,defects in the cytotoxicity of the patient’s NK andγτT cells were shown by CD107alpha expression.In conclusion,TRNT1 mutations may lead to multiple immune abnormality especially humoral and cytotoxicity defects,which indicate that SIFD is not only suffered‘Predominantly antibody deficiencies’in IUIS classification system,and further studies are needed to understand the pathogenesis of immunodeficiency in these patients.Lu Yang Xiuhong Xue Ting Zeng Xuemei Chen Qin Zhao Xuemei Tang Jun Yang Yunfei An Xiaodong Zhao 2020Genes & Diseases2020,7,1:3

7Dynamic Tensile Property of Zr-based Metallic Glass/Porous W Phase Composite显示文摘The dynamic tensile deformation and fracture behavior of the Zr-based metallic glass/porous W phase composite were investigated at room temperature by means of the Split Hopkinson Tension Bar (SHTB).It was found that the composite exhibited no appreciable macroscopic plastic deformation prior to catastrophic fracture and the fracture surface was perpendicular to the axial direction.Substantive micro cracks were observed along the interface between W grains or the interface between the metallic glass phase and the W phase.Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations revealed that vein-like patterns,dimple-like patterns and substantive ridge-like structures were the typical fracture morphologies on the fracture surface for the metallic glass phase and the morphology of the W phase is a mixture of intergranular and transgranular fracture.Based on those results referred above,the dynamic tensile deformation and fracture mechanism of the Zr-based metallic glass/porous W phase composite were discussed in detail.Yunfei Xue Lu Wang Huanwu Cheng Fuchi Wang Haifeng Zhang Aiming Wang 2010Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,10:2

9The effect of pore size and porosity of Ti6Al4V scaffolds on MC3T3-E1 cells and tissue in rabbits显示文摘Electron beam melting(EBM) allows the fabrication of specific porous titanium implants, whereas their in vitro and in vivo biological performance should be further investigated. In this study, we examined the porous Ti6 Al4 V scaffolds(low, 334.1 μm pore size with 55.4% porosity;middle, 383.2 μm pore size with 65.2% porosity;and high, 401.6 μm pore size with 78.1%porosity) fabricated through EBM. The structural characterization and mechanical properties of porous Ti6 Al4 V scaffolds were measured through micro-computed tomography(micro-CT), scanning electron microscopy, and a material testing system.MC3 T3-E1 cells were used to assess the proliferation and differentiation of the cells on different scaffolds at day 7 and day 14 based on the expression levels of genes, including alkaline phosphatase, bone morphogenetic protein-2, osteopontin and runtrelated transcription factor-2. Rabbits with distal femoral defects were utilized to evaluate bone ingrowth in the porous titanium.All of the samples were subjected to micro-CT and histological analysis after 12 weeks. Results showed that compressive Young’s modulus of 0.3–1.1 GPa was similar to the trabecular bone. The three types of porous Ti6 Al4 V scaffolds were inclined to promote cell proliferation, whereas cell differentiation and bone ingrowth into the porous scaffolds were biased to the porous titanium with relatively large pores and porosity(middle and high). 11Interface Reversible Electric Field Regulated by Amphoteric Charged Protein-Based Coating Toward High-Rate and Robust Zn Anode显示文摘Metallic interface engineering is a promising strategy to stabilize Zn anode via promoting Zn^(2+) uniform deposition.However,strong interactions between the coating and Zn^(2+) and sluggish transport of Zn^(2+) lead to high anodic polarization.Here,we present a bio-inspired silk fibroin(SF)coating with amphoteric charges to construct an interface reversible electric field,which manipulates the transfer kinetics of Zn^(2+) and reduces anodic polarization.The alternating positively and negatively charged surface as a build-in driving force can expedite and homogenize Zn^(2+) flux via the inter-play between the charged coating and adsorbed ions,endowing the Zn-SF anode with low polarization voltage and stable plating/stripping.Experimental analyses with theo-retical calculations suggest that SF can facilitate the desolvation of[Zn(H_(2)O)_(6)]^(2+) and provide nucleation sites for uniform deposition.Consequently,the Zn-SF anode delivers a high-rate performance with low voltage polarization(83 mV at 20 mA cm^(−2)) and excellent stability(1500 h at 1 mA cm^(−2);500 h at 10 mA cm^(−2)),realizing exceptional cumulative capacity of 2.5 Ah cm^(−2).The full cell coupled with Zn_(x)V_(2)O_(5)·nH_(2)O(ZnVO)cathode achieves specific energy of~270.5/150.6 Wh kg^(−1)(at 0.5/10 A g^(−1))with-99.8% Coulombic efficiency and retains~80.3%(at 5.0 A g^(−1))after 3000 cycles.Meihua Zhu Qing Ran Houhou Huang Yunfei Xie Mengxiao Zhong Geyu Lu Fu-Quan Bai Xing-You Lang Xiaoteng Jia Danming Chao 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,12:2

13Thermal Residual Stresses in W Fibers/Zr-based Metallic Glass Composites by High-energy Synchrotron X-ray Diffraction显示文摘Thermal residual stresses in W fibers/Zr-based metallic glass composites were measured by in situ high energy synchrotron X-ray diffraction(HEXRD). The W fibers for the composites were 300,500,and 700 m m in diameter,respectively. Coaxial cylinder model(CCM) and finite element model(FEM) were employed to simulate the distribution of thermal residual stress,respectively. HEXRD results showed that the selected diameters of W fiber had little influence on the value of thermal residual stresses in the present composites. Thermal residual stresses simulated by CCM and FEM were in good agreement with HEXRD measured results. 16Bioactive glass promotes the barrier functional behaviors of keratinocytes and improves the Re-epithelialization in wound healing in diabetic rats显示文摘Upon skin injury,re-epithelialization must be triggered promptly to restore the integrity and barrier function of the epidermis.However,this process is often delayed or interrupted in chronic wounds like diabetic foot ulcers.Considering that BG particles can activate multiple genes in various cells,herein,we hypothesized that bioactive glass(BG)might be able to modulate the barrier functional behaviors of keratinocytes.By measuring the transepithelial electrical resistance(TEER)and the paracellular tracer flux,we found the 58S-BG extracts substantially enhanced the barrier function of keratinocyte monolayers.The BG extracts might exert such effects by promoting the keratinocyte differentiation and the formation of tight junctions,as evidenced by the increased expression of critical differentiation markers(K10 and involucrin)and TJ protein claudin-1,as well as the altered subcellular location of four major TJ proteins(claudin-1,occludin,JAM-A,and ZO-1).Besides,the cell scratch assay showed that BG extracts induced the collective migration of keratinocytes,though they did not accelerate the migration rate compared to the control.The in vivo study using a diabetic rat wound model demonstrated that the BG extracts accelerated the process of re-epithelialization,stimulated keratinocyte differentiation,and promoted the formation of tight junctions in the newly regenerated epidermis.Our findings revealed the crucial effects of BGs on keratinocytes and highlighted its potential application for chronic wound healing by restoring the barrier function of the wounded skin effectively.Fengling Tang Junliang Li Weihan Xie Yunfei Mo Lu Ouyang Fujian Zhao Xiaoling Fu Xiaofeng Chen 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:1
17How to Increase Farmers' Income in the Poor Mountainous Areas ?显示文摘Using the gray system theory and gray relational analysis method,the relationship between added value of hybrid corn,hogs,Juglans sigillata,Pisum Sativum L.,safflower and that of farmers' net income in Bailongjing Village,Wafang Township,Longyang District,Baoshan City,Yunnan Province was analyzed,and the ways to increase farmers' per capita net income were studied. The results showed that economic income of farmers by structure adjustment of agriculture is Juglans sigillata > Pisum Sativum L. > safflower > hogs > hybrid corn. 18Application of Grey Correlation Degree Analysis in Broad Bean Strain Screening显示文摘[Objectives] The aim was to clarify the target and approach to purifying and selecting Baoshan Touxinlv broad bean. [Methods] In 2012,5 homozygous strains were selected successfully as the material,and completely randomized block arrangement was adopted with 3 repeated trials to analyze the effects of plant height,effective length of podding branches,branch number per plant,pod number per plant,grain number per pod and 100-grain weight on the yield of each plant in the system. [Results] The results showed that the effects of the various factors on the yield of Baoshan broad beans were in the order of grain number per pod > effective length of podding branches > 100-grain weight > pod number per plant > branch number per plant > plant height. 20Corrosion Evolution of Low Alloy Steel in Deaerated Bicarbonate Solutions显示文摘Corrosion evolution during immersion tests(up to 43 days) of Ni Cu steel in deaerated 0.1 mol/L bicarbonate solutions was investigated by electrochemical measurements, scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). Results show that Ni Cu steel transformed from the anodic dissolution in the early stage of immersion to a metastable passive state in the final stage as the open-circuit potential value shifted positively, which was aroused by the precipitation of corrosion products. This process was mainly promoted by the trace amount of oxygen. Simultaneously, dominant cathodic reaction transformed from the hydrogen evolution in early stage to reduction processes of corrosion products in later stages.
