1Biogas production from microbial-alkali pretreated corn stover by solid-state anaerobic digestion显示文摘Corn stover pretreated by Ceriporiopsis subvermispora was used as substrate to enhance biogas production via solid state anaerobic digestion(SS-AD).Effects of temperature,inoculum volume and alkaline concentration on the biogas production profermance were investigated.The results showed that pretreatment of corn stover by C.subvermispora benefited the biogas production.The optimal conditions were temperature 35°C,inoculum 10:1(w/w)and adding 5.0%of alkali,under which the maximum productions were obtained for daily and cumulative biogas of 14.07 L/kg VS and 211.09 L/kg VS.During the SS-AD process,the total solids(TS)and volatile solid(VS)were significantly degraded.The volatile fatty acids(VFA)concentration increased to 106 mmol/L and alkalinity decreased by about 23%.The results collectively suggested that microbial-alkali pretreatment of corn stove combining mesophilic condition could be a promising way to produce biogas in SS-AD.Zhao Pengxiang Cui Fengjie Bu Lingxi Jiang Jianxin 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,5:4
2N-phosphoryl amino acid models for P–N bonds in prebiotic chemical evolution显示文摘Post-translational modification of proteins by N-phosphorylation of the basic amino acid residues plays important roles in biological processes. The high-energy P–N bond might have contributed to the evolution of prebiotic chemistry. N-phosphoryl amino acids(PAAs) can serve as interesting small molecular models for the study of P–N bonds in prebiotic chemical evolution. PAAs are capable of simultaneously producing several important biomolecules such as polypeptides and oligonucleotides under mild reaction conditions. In this review, we describe the chemistry of PAAs, discusse their likely prebiotic origins and their reactivity and how they relate to biological P–N bond species. 4Bulk growth and separation of single-walled carbon nanotubes from rhenium catalyst显示文摘Bulk synthesis of single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWNTs)using solid catalyst has been challenging,despite of recent breakthrough in the chirality-specific growth on the flat substrate surface.In this work,we propose a porous magnesia support rhenium catalyst for bulk synthesis of SWNTs.It is found that the well-dispersed catalyst with a high melting point and the optimal chemical vapor deposition reaction conditions account for the growth of SWNTs.Detailed characterizations reveal the produced SWNTs are dominant in(n,n−1)and(n,n−2)species.Furthermore,by using a multicolumn chromatography post-growth separation method,SWNTs with three defined diameter ranges were obtained.This work guides the design of porous oxide supported catalyst for bulk synthesis and diameter-dependent sorting of SWNTs,which will ultimately help harness the extraordinary properties of SWNTs.Chen Ma Yumin Liu Lili Zhang Liu Qian Yiming Zhao Ying Tian Qianru Wu Dong Li Nan Zhao Xueting Zhang Liantao Xin Huaping Liu Pengxiang Hou Chang Liu Maoshuai He Jin Zhang 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:2

7Spatial Variations of b-Values in the Coastal Area of Guangdong显示文摘We used earthquake catalogs recorded by Guangdong Seismological Network from 2008 to 2014 to resolve the spatial variations of b-values in the coastal area of Guangdong, particularly in three key research areas(Yangjiang, Heyuan, and offshore Nanao Island) with strong seismicity. Our results revealed that b-values exhibited significant spatial variations, and zones with low b-values could indicate the most likely seismogenic area of large earthquakes. We observed three clear low b-value patches in the offshore Nanao Island. We found a distinct high b-value peak at the depth of 11 km and two minimum peaks at about 14 and 7–8 km in the Yangjiang area. The overall b-values generally decrease with depth in the Heyuan area. The spatial variations of b-values reflect tectonic anomalies; that is, the ‘low-high-low' distribution of b-values in the offshore Nanao Island and the Yangjiang area may indicate the anomaly of the crustal structure with a weak layer. The b-values of reservoir-induced seismicity are obviously lower than that induced by tectonism. This finding indicates that the reservoir area is generally at high stress state under the condition of high pore pressure. We inferred that large earthquakes might be prone to occur at 10–12 km depth in the offshore Nanao Island, at 12–15 km depth in the Yangjiang area, and at the lower part of the seismic activity zone in the Heyuan area. 16Stress compensation based on interfacial nanostructures for stable perovskite solar cells显示文摘The long-term stability issue of halide perovskite solar cells hinders their commercialization.The residual stress-strain affects device stability,which is derived from the mismatched thermophysical and mechanical properties between adjacent layers.In this work,we introduced the Rb_(2)CO_(3)layer at the interface of SnO_(2)/perovskite with the hierarchy morphology of snowflake-like microislands and dendritic nanostructures.With a suitable thermal expansion coefficient,the Rb_(2)CO_(3)layer benefits the interfacial stress relaxation and results in a compressive stress-strain in the perovskite layer.Moreover,reduced nonradiative recombination losses and optimized band alignment were achieved.An enhancement of open-circuit voltage from 1.087 to 1.153 V in the resultant device was witnessed,which led to power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 22.7%(active area of 0.08313 cm^(2))and 20.6%(1 cm2).Moreover,these devices retained 95%of its initial PCE under the maximum power point tracking(MPPT)after 2700 h.It suggests inorganic materials with high thermal expansion coefficients and specific nanostructures are promising candidates to optimize interfacial mechanics,which improves the operational stability of perovskite cells.Cheng Zhu Xi Wang Hangxuan Li Chenyue Wang Ziyan Gao Pengxiang Zhang Xiuxiu Niu Nengxu Li Zipeng Xu Zhenhuang Su Yihua Chen Huachao Zai Haipeng Xie Yizhou Zhao Ning Yang Guilin Liu Xueyun Wang Huanping Zhou Jiawang Hong Xingyu Gao Yang Bai Qi Chen 2023Interdisciplinary Materials2023,2,2:0

20Study on the mechanism of cholic acid derivatives in traditional Chinese medicine based on the regulation of gene expression显示文摘Objective:To investigate the pharmacological action and mechanism of cholic acid derivatives in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)based on the regulation of gene expression.Methods:Genome-wide gene expression profiles of Michigan Cancer Foundation-7(MCF-7)cells treated with or without 4 cholic acid derivatives were detected by gene chip technology.Similarities in upregulated and downregulated genes were analyzed using the Connectivity Map(CMap)database.The affinity between cholic acid derivatives and the potential target was confirmed by molecular docking.The cholic acid derivative-regulated pathway enrichment analysis was performed by the STRING database,and the potential pathway was confirmed by in vitro experiments on MD Anderson-Metastatic Breast-231(MDA-MB-231)cells.Results:Compared with the reference genome in the CMap database,the gene expression profiles of cholic acid derivatives were similar to those of antipsychotic,anticancer,anti-inflammatory,and antiinfective drugs.Among them,4 derivatives were associated with antianxiety drugs,and molecular docking results showed that these compounds may act by binding to the ligand-binding site of gammaaminobutyric acid(GABA)receptors.Moreover,the cytoskeletal pathway is one of the pathways enriched in the derivatives.Of them,ursodeoxycholic acid showed significant inhibitory activity on the cytoskeleton formation of MDA-MB-231 cells.Conclusion:The gene expression detection method,combined with CMap and pathway enrichment analysis,could be used to study the mechanism of the active ingredients of TCM.In addition,our research showed that cholic acid derivatives have a potential affinity for membrane receptors,where they can exert anxiolytic activity by modulating opioid receptor,GABA receptor,and dopamine receptor.Moreover,ursodeoxycholic and chenodeoxycholic acid inhibit cytoskeleton formation,probably by acting on membrane proteins to activate the corresponding cytoskeletal pathways.Yongchun Huang Jie Zhang Pengxiang Zhao Yufeng Ma Qiangqiang Jia Shoude Zhang 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2023,10,1:0
