Clinical and experimental study on regional administration of phosphorus32 glassmicrospheres in treating hepatic carcinoma显示文摘AIM To study the therapeutical effectiveness, dosage range and toxic adverse effects of domestic phosphorus 32 glass microsphere and evaluate its clinical significance. METHODS Ⅰ. Fifty two BALB/*!c tumor bearing male nude mice were allocated into treatment group( n =38) and control group( n =14). In the former group different doses of 32 P GMS were injected into the tumor mass, while in the latter 31 P GMS or no treatment was given. The experimental animals were sacrificed in batches, and then the tumors and their nearby tissues were examined by light and electron microscopy. Ⅱ. Through selective catheterization of hepatic artery, 32 P GMS was infused to 5 healthy domestic pigs in a dosage equivalent to the therapeutic dose for human being, and 31 P GMS was infused to another 5 healthy domestic pigs. Two pigs infused with contrast medium served as whole course blank controls. One pig from each group was surrendered to euthanasia at week 1, 4, 8 and 16 respectively. The ultrastructural histopath ological changes in liver tissues taken from different sites were evaluated semiquan titatively. Ⅲ. One hundred and twenty seven times of 32 P GMS intrahepatic artery interventional therapies were performed on 93 patients with hepatic carcinoma, including 79 cases of primary hepatic carcinoma and 14 cases of secondary hepatic carcinoma. 32 P GMS ( n =30), and group B, 32 P GMS and half dose of trans hepatic artery embolization (TAE) ( n =49) , and 18 patients with HCC by TAE only as control group C. Fourteen patients with secondary hepatic carcinoma were treated in the same way as group B or C. RESULTS Ⅰ. Comparing with the control group, the treatment group of tumor bearing nude mice attained the tumor inhibition rates of 59 7%-93 7% ( F =579 62, P <0 01) at 14*!d . At an absorbed dose of 7320Gy, the tumor cells were completely destroyed. When the absorbed doses ranged from 1830Gy to 3660Gy, most of the tumor cells showed the evidences of injury or necrosis, but there appeared some well differentiated tumor cells and enhanced effect of the autoimmunocytes. At an absorbed dose of 366Gy or less, some tumor cells still remained active proliferative ability. The definite anticancer effect appeared as early as 3d after intratumoral injection of 32 P GMS. Ⅱ. The cumulative amount of 32 P GMS in the target tissue after trans hepatic artery instillation attained more than 90% of the total dose administrated. Semiquantitative analysis of ultrastructral morphology in the experimental group showed no statistical difference between the nuclear abnormality (N abn ) and mitochondrial variability (M var ) at week 1 or 2, but revealed prominent difference (χ 2=6 70-9 68, P <0 01 , χ 2=65 09-115 09, P <0 001 ) as compared with those in the other groups. In the experimental group the N abn in tissues showed no significant difference between week 8 and week 16. No apparent changes were found in the stomach, spleen, kidney and lung tissues of the experimental pigs. Ⅲ. The therapeutical results of HCC patients in group A were closely approximated to those of group C, no hematological toxic side effects were noted, and the systemic reaction was mild. In some patients 2*!mos - 3*!mos after treatment some secondary foci appeared around the periphery of the primary lesion. In general better effectiveness was obtained in patients with small lesion. After analyzing by RIDIT method, the therapeutic result in group B was significantly better than that in group C, and secondary foci around the original lesion were rarely seen at 3*!mos after treatment. In group C the collateral circulation was reestablished along the periphery of primary foci and the secondary foci appeared more frequently, and required to undergo several courses of treatment. In group B, 4 cases of HCC were treated surgically as their mass decreased in size after 32 P GMS treatment.LIU Lu, JIANG Zao, TENG Gao Jun, SONG Ji Zhi, ZHANG Dong Sheng, GUO Qing Ming, FANG Wen, HE Shi Cheng and GUO Jin He 1999World Journal of Gastroenterology1999,5,6:21
From concept to reality-A review to the primary test stand and its preliminary application in high energy density physics显示文摘Pulsed power technology, whereas the electrical energy stored in a relative long period is released in much shorter timescale,is an efficient method to create high energy density physics(HEDP)conditions in laboratory.Around the beginning of this century,China Academy of Engineering Physics(CAEP)began to build some experimental facilities for HEDP investigations, among which the Primary Test Stand(PTS),a multi-module pulsed power facility with a nominal current of 10 MA and a current rising time~90 ns,is an important achievement on the roadmap of the electro-magnetically driven inertial confinement fusion(ICF)researches.PTS is the first pulsed power facility beyond 10 TW in China. Therefore, all the technologies have to be demonstrated, and all the engineering issues have to be overcome. In this article, the research outline, key technologies and the preliminary HEDP experiments are reviewed.Prospects on HEDP research on PTS and pulsed power development for the next step are also discussed.Jianjun Deng Weiping Xie Shuping Feng Meng Wang Hongtao Li Shengyi Song Minghe Xia Ji Ce An He Qing Tian Yuanchao Gu Yongchao Guan Bin Wei Xianbin Huang Xiaodong Ren Jiakun Dan Jing Li Shaotong Zhou Hongchun Cai Siqun Zhang Kunlun Wang Qiang Xu Yujuan Wang Zhaohui Zhang Guilin Wang Shuai Guo Yi He Yiwei Zhou Zhanji Zhang Libing Yang Wenkang Zou 2016Matter and Radiation at Extremes2016,1,1:19

Impacts of PLL on the DFIG-based WTG’s Electromechanical Response Under Transient Conditions:Analysis and Modeling显示文摘Increased penetration of wind energy in the electric grid has necessitated studying the impact of wind integration on the transient stability of the power system, with urgency to develop appropriate electromechanical models of the wind turbine generator(WTG).The representation and control of the WTG’s electric signals are typically in a rotational dq coordinate system whose reference angle is provided by a phase-lockedloop(PLL).The PLL is commonly considered as a measurement device and is often absent in existing WTG electromechanical models. This paper studies the impact of PLL on the DFIG-based WTG electromechanical response by theoretical and simulation analyses. The dynamics of the PLL are found to greatly influence the WTG electromechanical response, suggesting that PLL should be regarded as an indispensable control loop rather than a measurement device, and its impact should be modeled when establishing the WTG electromechanical model.Dongliang Zhang Yajing Wang Jiabing Hu Shicong Ma Qing He Qiang Guo 2016CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2016,2,2:10

Efficacy and safety of Shenyankangfu Tablet,a Chinese patent medicine, for primary glomerulonephritis:A multicenter randomized controlled trial显示文摘Background:Shenyankangfu Tablet(SYKFT)is a Chinese patent medicine that has been used widely to decrease proteinuria and the progression of chronic kidney disease. Objective:This trial compared the efficacy and safety of SYKFT,for the control of proteinuria in primary glomerulonephritis patients, against the standard drug, losartan potassium.Design, setting, participants and intervention:This was a multicenter,double-blind,randomized,controlled clinical trial.Primary glomerulonephritis patients, aged 18-70 years, with blood pressure≤140/90 mmHg,estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)>45 mL/min per 1.73 ㎡,and 24-hour proteinuria level of 0.5-3.0 g,were recruited in 41 hospitals across 19 provinces in China and were randomly divided into five groups:SYKFT,losartan potassium 50 mg or 100 mg,SYKFT plus losartan potassium 50 mg or 100 mg.Main outcome measu res:The primary outcome was change in the 24-hour proteinuria level, after 48 weeks of treatment. Results:A total of 735 participants were enrolled. The percent decline of urine protein quantification in the SYKFT group after 48 weeks was 8.78%±2.56%(P=0.006)more than that in the losartan 50 mg group, which was 0.51%±2.54%(P=1.000)less than that in the losartan 100 mg group.Compared with the losartan potassium 50 mg group, the SYKFT plus losartan potassium 50 mg group had a 13.39%±2.49%(P<0.001)greater reduction in urine protein level.Compared with the losartan potassium 100 mg group, the SYKFT plus losartan potassium 100 mg group had a 9.77%±2.52%(P=0.001)greater reduction in urine protein. With a superiority threshold of 15%,neither was statistically significant.eGFR,serum creatinine and serum albumin from the baseline did not change statistically significant. The average change in TCM syndrome score between the patients who took SYKFT(-3.00[-6.00,-2.00])and who did not take SYKFT(-2.00[-5.00,0])was statistically significant(P=0.003).No obvious adverse reactions were observed in any group. Conclusion:SYKFT decreased the proteinuria and improved the TCM syndrome scores of primary glomerulonephritis patients, with no change in the rate of decrease in the eGFR.SYKFT plus losartan potassium therapy decreased proteinuria more than losartan potassium therapy alone.Trial registration number:NCT02063100 on ClinicalTrials.gov.Jie Wu Shu-wei Duan Hong-tao Yang Yue-yi Deng Wei Li Ya-ni He Zhao-hui Ni Yong-li Zhan Shan Lin Zhi-yong Guo Jun Zhu Jing-ai Fang Xu-sheng Liu Li-hua Wang Rong Wang Nian-song Wang Xiao-hong Cheng Li-qun He Ping Luo Shi-ren Sun Ji-feng Sun Ai-ping Yin Geng-ru Jiang Hong-yu Chen Wen-hu Liu Hong-li Lin Meng Liang Lu Ma Ming Chen Li-qun Song Jian Chen Qing Zhu Chang-ying Xing Yun Li Ji-ning Gao Rong-shan Li Ying Li Hao Zhang Ying Lu Qiao-ling Zhou Jun-zhou Fu Qiang He Guang-yan Cai Xiang-mei Chen 2021Journal of Integrative Medicine2021,19,2:8
Efficacy of a Chinese herbal formula on hepatitis B e antigenpositive chronic hepatitis B patients显示文摘BACKGROUND No guideline recommends antiviral therapy for hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)-positive chronic hepatitis B patients with persistently normal alanine aminotransferase levels and a high hepatitis B virus(HBV)DNA viral load.AIM To evaluate the feasibility and safety of a Chinese herbal formula as a therapeutic option for chronic HBV infection.METHODS In total,395 patients(30–65 years old)with confirmed HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B infection and persistently normal alanine aminotransferase were randomized to receive either Chinese herbal formula or placebo for 96 wk.Endpoints to evaluate therapeutic efficacy included:(1)HBV DNA levels decreased to less than 4 log10 IU/mL at weeks 48 and 96;and(2)HBeAg clearance and seroconversion rates at weeks 48 and 96.RESULTS HBV DNA levels≤4 log10 IU/mL were 10.05%at week 48 and 18.59%at week 96 in the treatment group. The HBeAg clearance and conversion rates were 8.54%and 8.04%at week 48 and 16.08%and 14.57%at week 96,respectively.However,HBV DNA levels≤4 log10 IU/mL were 2.55%and 2.55%at weeks 48 and 96,respectively,and the HBeAg clearance rates were 3.06%and 5.61%at weeks 48 and 96,respectively,in the control group. The quantitative hepatitis B surface antigen and HBeAg levels at baseline and changes during the treatment period as well as the alanine aminotransferase elevation at weeks 12 and 24 were strong predictors of HBeAg clearance.CONCLUSION High rates of HBV DNA reduction,HBeAg clearance and seroconversion could be achieved with Chinese herbal formula treatments, and the treatments were relatively safe for HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B-infected patients with persistently normal alanine aminotransferase. The ability of the compound to modulate host immune function probably contributed to this effect.Yu-Feng Xing Chun-Shan Wei Tian-Ran Zhou Dan-Ping Huang Wei-Chao Zhong Bin Chen Hua Jin Xiao-Yu Hu Zhi-Yun Yang Qing He Kai-Ping Jiang Jun-Min Jiang Zhen-Bin Hu Xin Deng Fan Yang Feng-Yi Li Gang Zhao Li-Chun Wang Yu-Qiang Mi Zuo-Jiong Gong Peng Guo Jian-Hua Wu Wei-Qun Shi Hong-Zhi Yang Da-Qiao Zhou Guang-Dong Tong 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,30:7
Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Lung Cancer Patients显示文摘The prevalence of malnutrition is high among oncology patients in China. Although the Patient- Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is widely recognized as an important nutritional assessment tool, it has not been validated for Chinese cancer patients. The purpose of this study was to conduct an analysis of nutrition screening and assessment data to validate the Chinese version of the PG-SGA in Chinese patients with lung cancer. This was an observational, cross-sectional study of 2,000 consecutive adult patients with lung cancer treated at several tertiary hospitals in China. Anthropometric and patient descriptive data were collected. The PG-SGA generated a score for the nutritional risk and a global rating for the nutritional status. The internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity were evaluated, and a known-groups comparison and principal component analyses were conducted to evaluate the reliability and validity of the PG-SGA. The known-groups comparison demonstrated the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate lung cancer patients of different nutritional and body mass index (BMI) groups. A confirmatory factor analysis supported the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. In terms of the internal and external consistency, the PG-SGA demonstrated intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC) up to 0.987. Alternative form validity was also demonstrated between Box 4 of the PG-SGA and the Karnofsky Performance Status score, with excellent external consistency (r = 0.972, P < 0.001). The construct validity was supported, and selected questionnaire dimensions were evident in the principal component analysis. Significant Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were demonstrated. The Chinese version of the PG-SGA demonstrated significant reliability and sufficient exploratory properties to support its validity. It seems to be a valid tool that can be used to access the nutritional status of Chinese lung cancer patients. The validity of the PG-SGA in Chinese cancer patients warrants further investigation in other cancer types.Zhen Ming Fu Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Wei Li Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Chang Wang Han Ping Shi The Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers (INSCOC) Group 2016Journal of Nutritional Oncology2016,1,1:7
The FGOALS climate system model as a modeling tool for supporting climate sciences:An overview显示文摘Climate system models are useful tools for understanding the interactions among the components of the climate system and predicting/projecting future climate change. The development of climate models has been a central focus of the State Key Laboratory of Numerical Modeling for Atmospheric Sciences and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics, Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences(LASG/IAP) since the establishment of the laboratory in 1985. In China, many pioneering component models and fully coupled models of the climate system have been developed by LASG/IAP. The fully coupled climate system developed in the recent decade is named FGOALS(Flexible Global Ocean-Atmosphere-Land System Model). In this paper, an application-oriented review of the LASG/IAP FGOALS model is presented. The improved model performances are demonstrated in the context of cloud-radiation processes, Asian monsoon, ENSO phenomena, Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation(AMOC) and sea ice. The FGOALS model has contributed to both CMIP5(Coupled Model Intercomparison Project-phase 5) and IPCC(Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) AR5(the Fifth Assessment Report). The release of FGOALS data has supported the publication of nearly 500 papers around the world. The results of FGOALS are cited ~106 times in the IPCC WG1(Working Group 1) AR5. In addition to the traditional long-term simulations and projections, near-term decadal climate prediction is a new set of CMIP experiment, progress of LAGS/IAP in the development of nearterm decadal prediction system is reviewed. The FGOALS model has supported many Chinese national-level research projects and contributed to the national climate change assessment report. The crucial role of FGOALS as a modeling tool for supporting climate sciences is highlighted by demonstrating the model's performances in the simulation of the evolution of Earth's climate from the past to the future.TianJun Zhou Bin Wang YongQiang Yu YiMin Liu WeiPeng Zheng LiJuan Li Bo Wu PengFei Lin Zhun Guo WenMin Man Qing Bao AnMin Duan HaiLong Liu XiaoLong Chen Bian He JianDong Li LiWei Zou XiaoCong Wang LiXia Zhang Yong Sun WenXia Zhang 2018Earth and Planetary Physics2018,2,4:6
Influence of mechanical alloying time on the properties of Fe_3Al intermetallics prepared by spark plasma sintering显示文摘The Fe3Al-based intermetallics were prepared by mechanical alloying and spark plasma sintering (SPS), and the influence of milling time on the properties of materials was investigated. The phase identification was investigated by X-ray, and the surface morphology and fractography were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The mechanical properties such as bending strength, strain, and microhardness were tested. The results show that Fe reacts with Al completely to form Fe3Al during short SPS processing time. The relative densities of the sintered samples were nearly 100/. The mechanical properties of the sintered samples can be improved along with the milling time. The representative values are the bend strength of 1327 MPa and the microhardness of 434.Chengchang Jia Qing He Jie Meng Lina Guo 2007Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2007,14,4:6
Pericytes augment glioblastoma cell resistance to temozolomide through CCL5-CCR5 paracrine signaling显示文摘Glioblastoma(GBM)is a prevalent and highly lethal form of glioma, with rapid tumor progression and frequent recurrence.Excessive outgrowth of pericytes in GBM governs the ecology of the perivascular niche, but their function in mediating chemoresistance has not been fully explored.Herein,we uncovered that pericytes potentiate DNA damage repair(DDR)in GBM cells residing in the perivascular niche, which induces temozolomide(TMZ)chemoresistance. We found that increased pericyte proportion correlates with accelerated tumor recurrence and worse prognosis.Genetic depletion of pericytes in GBM xenografts enhances TMZ-induced cytotoxicity and prolongs survival of tumor-bearing mice.Mechanistically,C-C motif chemokine ligand 5(CCL5)secreted by pericytes activates C-C motif chemokine receptor 5(CCR5)on GBM cells to enable DNA-dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit(DNA-PKcs)-mediated DDR upon TMZ treatment.Disrupting CCL5-CCR5 paracrine signaling through the brain-penetrable CCR5 antagonist maraviroc(MVC)potently inhibits pericyte-promoted DDR and effectively improves the chemotherapeutic efficacy of TMZ.GBM patient-derived xenografts with high CCL5 expression benefit from combined treatment with TMZ and MVC.Our study reveals the role of pericytes as an extrinsic stimulator potentiating DDR signaling in GBM cells and suggests that targeting CCL5-CCR5 signaling could be an effective therapeutic strategy to improve chemotherapeutic efficacy against GBM.Xiao-Ning Zhang Kai-Di Yang Cong Chen Zhi-Cheng He Qiang-Hu Wang Hua Feng Sheng-Qing Lv Yan Wang Min Mao Qing Liu Yao-Yao Tan Wen-Ying Wang Tian-Ran Li Lin-Rong Che Zhong-Yi Qin Ling-Xiang Wu Min Luo Chun-Hua Luo Yu-Qi Liu Wen Yin Chao Wang Hai-Tao Guo Qing-Rui Li Bin Wang Wei Chen Shuang Wang Yu Shi Xiu-Wu Bian Yi-Fang Ping 2021Cell Research2021,31,10:5
Diffusion Bonding of Ti_3Al Base Alloy显示文摘: The effects of diffusion bonding temperature and holding time on the joint strength of Ti3Al base alloy has been investigated in this paper. The shear strength of Ti-14Al-21Nb-3Mo-V alloy diffusion bonding joint under pressure of 12 MPa at 990℃ for 70 min was obtained to 797.6 MPa which approaches the base material strength. In addition, a short-time diffosion bonding process was studied in order to decrease the bonding cost. With the deformation of the specimens of 2.5% and the bonding temperature of 990℃ for 15 min, the bonding strength could reach 801 MPa.Yi GUO Jinman ZHU Zhijing HE Pifen LIAN and Qing WU (Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang 110015, China)(To whom correspondence should be addressed)Hong ZHANG (Weihai University, Weihai 260000, China) 1996Journal of Materials Science & Technology1996,12,6:5
An all-round AI-Chemist with a scientific mind显示文摘The realization of automated chemical experiments by robots unveiled the prelude to an artificial intelligence(AI)laboratory.Several AI-based systems or robots with specific chemical skills have been demonstrated, but conducting all-round scientific research remains challenging. Here,we present an all-round AI-Chemist equipped with scientific data intelligence that is capable of performing basic tasks generally required in chemical research.Based on a service platform, the AI-Chemist is able to automatically read the literatures from a cloud database and propose experimental plans accordingly. It can control a mobile robot in-house or online to automatically execute the complete experimental process on 14 workstations, including synthesis, characterization and performance tests. The experimental data can be simultaneously analysed by the computational brain of the AI-Chemist through machine learning and Bayesian optimization, allowing a new hypothesis for the next iteration to be proposed. The competence of the AI-Chemist has been scrutinized by three different chemical tasks. In the future, the more advanced all-round AI-Chemists equipped with scientific data intelligence may cause changes to the landscape of the chemical laboratory.Qing Zhu Fei Zhang Yan Huang Hengyu Xiao LuYuan Zhao XuChun Zhang Tao Song XinSheng Tang Xiang Li Guo He BaoChen Chong JunYi Zhou YiHan Zhang Baicheng Zhang JiaQi Cao Man Luo Song Wang GuiLin Ye WanJun Zhang Xin Chen Shuang Cong Donglai Zhou Huirong Li Jialei Li Gang Zou WeiWei Shang Jun Jiang Yi Luo 2022National Science Review2022,9,10:5
Validity of the Chinese Version of the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) in Gastric Cancer Patients显示文摘Purpose Malnutrition is severe among gastric cancer patients in China. While the Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA) is a widely used nutritional assessment tool, the validation for Chinese patients with gastric cancer has not been performed yet. The aim of this research is to validate the Chinese version of the PGSGA in Chinese gastric cancer patients by conducting analyses of nutrition screening and assessment data. Methods Two thousand consecutive adult patients with gastric cancer were included in this observational, cross-sectional study in several tertiary hospitals in China. A survey was made among those patients, which included several questionnaires and some anthropometric parameters. We calculated the parameters to validate the use of PG-SGA categorizing the nutritional status of gastric cancer patients. Then we performed statistical analysis to evaluate the internal consistency, external consistency, and construct validity. Results This study verified the ability of the PG-SGA to differentiate gastric cancer patients into different nutritional groups. The confirmatory factor analysis verified the original four-factor structure of the PG-SGA. The internal and external consistency was measured by a concordance analysis which showed an intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) of 0.987. The correlations of the Box 4 score with the Karnofsky performance status score demonstrated alternative form validity with good external consistency (Pearson, r = 0.643, P < 0.001). All three anthropometric dimensions of the PG-SGA were supported by principal component analysis. Spearman correlations (P < 0.001) were significant in the majority of tests. Conclusion The Chinese version of the PG-SGA is a valid tool to access the patients’ nutritional status for Chinese gastric patients.Zhen Ming Fu Hong Xia Xu Chun Hua Song Wei Li Zeng Qing Guo Yuan Lin Ying Ying Shi Wen Hu Yi Ba Su Yi Li Zeng Ning Li Kun Hua Wang Jing Wu Ying He Jia Jun Yang Cong Hua Xie Xin Xia Song Gong Yan Chen Wen Jun Ma Su Xia Luo Zi Hua Chen Ming Hua Cong Hu Ma Chun Ling Zhou Wei Wang Qi Luo Yong Mei Shi Yu Mei Qi Hai Ping Jiang Wen Xian Guan Jun Qiang Chen Jia Xin Chen Yu Fang Lan Zhou Yong Dong Feng Rong Shao Tan Tao Li Jun Wen Ou Qing Chuan Zhao Jian Xiong Wu Chang Wang Han Ping Shi The Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Common Cancers (INSCOC) Group 2018Journal of Nutritional Oncology2018,3,4:5
