1Special Section:SARS-CoV-2 Preliminary evidence from a multicenter prospective observational study of the safety and efficacy of chloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19显示文摘Effective therapies are urgently needed for the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.Chloroquine has been proved to have antiviral effect against coronavirus in vitro.In this study,we aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of chloroquine with different doses in COVID-19.In this multicenter prospective observational study,we enrolled patients older than 18 years old with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection excluding critical cases from 12 hospitals in Guangdong and Hubei Provinces.Eligible patients received chloroquinephosphate s00 mg,orally,once(half dose)or twice(full dose)daily.Patients treated with non-chloroquine therapy were included as historical controls.The primary endpoint is the time to undetectable viral RNA.Secondary outcomes include the proportion of patients with undetectable viral RNA by day 10 and 14,hospitalization time,duration of fever,and adverse events.A total of 197 patients completed chloroquine treatment,and 176patients were included as historical controls.The median time to achieve an undetectable viral RNA was shorter in chloroquine than in non-chloroquine(absolute difference in medians-6.0 days;95%CI-6.0 to—4.0).The duration of fever is shorter in chloroquine(geometric mean ratio 0.6;95%CIO.5 to 0.8).No serious adverse events were observed in the chloroquine group.Patients treated with half dose experienced lower rate of adverse events than with full dose.Although randomized trials are needed for further evaluation,this study provides evidence for safety and efficacy of chloroquine in COVID-19 and suggests that chloroquine can be a cost-effective therapy for combating the COVID-19 pandemic.Mingxing Huang Man Li Fei Xiao Pengfei Pang Jiabi Liang Tiantian Tang Shaoxuan Liu Binghui Chen Jingxian Shu Yingying You Yang Li Meiwen Tang Jianhui Zhou Guanmin Jiang Jingfen Xiang Wenxin Hong Songmei He Zhaoqin Wang Jianhua Feng Changqing Lin Yinong Ye Zhilong Wu Yaocai Li Bei Zhong Ruilin Sun Zhongsi Hong Jing Liu Huili Chen Xiaohua Wang Zhonghe Li Duanqing Pei Lin Tian Jinyu Xia Shanping Jiang Nanshan Zhong Hong Shan 2020National Science Review2020,7,9:20
2Prevalence, risk factors, and survival associated with pulmonary hypertension and heart failure among patients with underlying coronary artery disease: a national prospective, multicenter registry study in China显示文摘Background: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the commonest cause of heart failure (HF), whereas pulmonary hypertension (PH) has not been established or reported in this patient population. Therefore, we assessed the prevalence, risk factors, and survival in CAD-associated HF (CAD-HF) complicated with PH.Methods: Symptomatic CAD-HF patients were continuously enrolled in this prospective, multicenter registry study. Echocardiography, coronary arteriography, left and right heart catheterization (RHC), and other baseline clinical data were recorded. Patients were followed up and their survival was recorded.Results: One hundred and eighty-two CAD-HF patients were enrolled, including 142 with HF with a preserved ejection fraction (heart failure with preserved ejection fraction [HFpEF];left ventricular ejection fraction [LVEF] ≥50%) and 40 with a reduced ejection fraction (heart failure with reduced ejection fraction [HFrEF];LVEF < 50%). PH was diagnosed with RHC in 77.5% of patients. Patients with PH showed worse hemodynamic parameters and higher mortality. HFrEF-PH patients had worse survival than HFpEF-PH patients. CAD-HF patients with an enlarged left ventricular end-diastolic diameter and reduced hemoglobin were at higher risk of PH. Nitrate treatment reduced the risk of PH. Elevated creatinine and mean pulmonary arterial pressure (mPAP), diastolic pressure gradient (DPG) ≥7 mmHg, and previous myocardial infarction (MI) entailed a higher risk of mortality in CAD-HF patients with PH.Conclusions: PH is common in CAD-HF and worsens the hemodynamics and survival in these patients. Left ventricle enlargement and anemia increase the risk of PH in CAD-HF. Patients may benefit from nitrate medications. 3Analysis on Autofrettage of Cylinders显示文摘Autofrettage is an effective technique to improve load-bearing capacity and safety for pressure vessels.For autofrettaged cylinder,the depth of plastic zone,or overstrain is a key factor which affects load-bearing capacity and safety.The previous research on overstrain was not done in terms of the point of view of raising load-bearing capacity as far as possible and simultaneously avoiding compressive yield for cylinders experiencing autofrettage handling,and there were no analytic solutions of autofrettage in the above view point presented,the 3rd and 4th strength theories were not applied synthetically in the research to compare the results from these two theories.In this paper,with the aid of the analytic method,based on summing up the authors' previous research,results from autofrettage of a cylinder based on the 3rd and 4th strength theories are studied and compared,and the laws contained in the results are looked into.Then,the essential cause and reason for the obtained laws are analyzed and the inherent and meaning relations between various parameters in autofrettage theory are revealed.It is shown that the maximum radius ratio for equivalent residual stress at inside surface never exceeds the yield strength even for a cylinder experiencing wholly yielded autofrettage,or the critical radius ratio is kc=2.218 457 489 916 7…,irrespective of the 3rd or 4th strength theories.The equation relating the depth of plastic zone with the thickness of a cylinder is identical for the 3rd and 4th strength theories.In form,the optimum load-bearing capacity of an autofrettaged cylinder is two times the initial yield pressure of the unautofrettaged cylinder irrespective of the 3rd or 4th strength theory.The revealed inherent relations between various parameters and varying laws of the parameters as well as the forms of the relations under the 3rd and 4th strength theories not only have theoretical meanings but also have prospects in engineering application.ZHU Ruilin ZHU Guolin TANG Feng 2012Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,3:2
4A real-time inversion attack on the GMR-2 cipher used in the satellite phones显示文摘The GMR-2 cipher is a type of stream cipher currently being used in some inmarsat satellite phones. It has been proven that such a cipher can be cracked using only one single-frame(15 bytes) known keystream but with moderate executing time. In this paper, we present a new thorough security analysis of the GMR-2 cipher. We first study the inverse properties of the cipher's components to reveal a bad one-way character of the cipher. By then introducing a new concept called 'valid key chain' according to the cipher's key schedule, we propose an unprecedented real-time inversion attack using a single-frame keystream. This attack comprises three phases:(1) table generation;(2) dynamic table look-up, filtration and combination;and(3) verification. Our analysis shows that, using the proposed attack, the size of the exhaustive search space for the 64-bit encryption key can be reduced to approximately 2^(13) when a single-frame keystream is available. Compared with previous known attacks, this inversion attack is much more efficient. 6A joint call for actions to advance taxonomy in China显示文摘Taxonomy plays an important role in understanding the origin, evolution, and ecological functionality of biodiversity. There are large number of unknown species yet to be described by taxonomists, which together with their ecosystem services cannot be effectively protected prior to description. Despite this, taxonomy has been increasingly underrated insufficient funds and permanent positions to retain young talents. Further, the impact factordriven evaluation systems in China exacerbate this downward trend, so alternative evaluation metrics are urgently necessary. When the current generation of outstanding taxonomists retires,there will be too few remaining taxonomists left to train the next generation. 7Comparison of the meat quality and fatty acid profile of muscles in finishing Xiangcun Black pigs fed varied dietary energy levels显示文摘To study the effects of dietary energy level on the meat quality of different muscles in finishing pigs,400Xiangcun Black pigs(BW=79.55±4.77 kg)were randomly assigned to 5 treatments with varied calculated digestive energy(DE)at 3,050,3,100,3,150,3,200 and 3,250 kcal/kg,respectively.Each treatment had 8replicates with 10 pigs per replicate.Meat quality,amino acid and fatty acid composition were tested in this study.No differences in average daily gain,average daily feed intake or feed-to-gain ratio(P>0.05)were observed among dietary treatments.Glycogen concentrations of longissimus dorsi(LD)muscle in DE3150was higher than those in other groups(P<0.05).The crude fat concentration of biceps femoris(BF)muscle in DE3250 tended to be higher than that in DE3150 and DE3100 groups(P<0.05).Pigs in DE3250 and DE3200 had higher fiber density and smaller cross-sectional area of BF muscle than those in DE3150(P<0.05).Pigs in DE3150 had the highest Cu concentration in LD muscle compared with those in DE3200,DE3250(P<0.05).The C16:1 proportion of LD muscle was lower(P<0.01)and C20:1 was higher(P<0.05)in DE3050 than that in the other dietary treatments.The C18:3n6 and C20:3n6 proportions of BF muscle in DE3150 were higher than those in DE 3050,DE3200 and DE3250(P<0.05).For LD muscle,m RNA expressions of type I and IIa MyHC in group DE3150 were higher than other treatments(P<0.01).The LD muscle in DE3150 expressed higher PPARd than in other groups(P<0.01).Pigs in DE3100 expressed higher FOX1 than in DE3200 and DE3250(P<0.05).Sterol-regulatory element binding proteins(SREBPa)mRNA expression decreased linearly when dietary energy level increased in BF muscle(P<0.01).In conclusion,a200 kcal/kg decrease in digestible energy for 4 consecutive weeks did not affect growth performance of Xiangcun Black pigs.Furthermore,LD and BF muscle respond differently to dietary energy level,and meat quality was improved by the medium energy level during the finishing phase.Can Yang Wenlong Wang Xiaowu Tang Ruilin Huang Fengna Li Wenxuan Su Yulong Yin Chaoyue Wen Jian Liu 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,4:1

11Copper diffusion related phase change and voltage decay in CuS cathode显示文摘Copper sulfide(CuS)is a promising cathode for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)due to its impeccable theoretical energy density(~1015 Wh·kg^(−1) and 4743 Wh·L^(−1)).However,it suffers from voltage decay leaded energy density loss and low energy efficiency,which hinders its application.In this work,with combined ex-situ/in-situ X-ray diffraction(XRD)and electrochemical analysis,we explore detailed degradation mechanisms.For the voltage decay,it is attributed to a spontaneous reaction between CuS cathode and copper current collector(Cu CC).This reaction leads to energy density loss and active materials degradation(CuS→Cu_(1.81)S).As for energy efficiency,CuS undergoes a series of phase transformations.The main phase transition processes are CuS→α-LiCuS→Li_(2−x)Cu_(x)S+Cu→Li_(2)S+Cu for discharge;Li_(2)S+Cu→Li_(2−x)Cu_(x)S→β-LiCuS→CuS for charge.Here,α-LiCuS,β-LiCuS,and Li_(2−x)CuxS are newly identified phases.These phase changes are driven by topotactic-reaction-related copper diffusion and rearrangement.This work demonstrates the significance of transition-metal diffusion in the intermediates formation and phase change in conversion-type materials.Jian Zou Zhenrui Wu Ruilin Tang Zhenzhen Ren Xiaobin Niu Liping Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,6:0

13Pusher:an augmented fuzzer based on the connection between input and comparison operand显示文摘Coverage based fuzzing is a widespread vulnerability detection technique,and it has exposed many bugs in many real-world programs.However,its attention is to eliminate the testing on the repeated paths,yet it still employs random mutation to generate inputs,which is blind to penetrate complex comparisons in the program.As a result,the testing coverage is limited.Despite some solution proposals are presented,this problem is still partially solved.This paper argues that random mutation is mainly limited by two challenges,the sizable search space and the lack of a useful feedback to direct the search.Then we present an augmented fuzzing technique by addressing these two challenges.First of all,we point out a black relationship between input contents and comparison operands,which is dubbed connection.Second,we present a novel method to collect the comparison operands during execution,which is leveraged to infer the connections.Based on the connections,the fuzzer can learn about which input byte affects on which comparison instruction to establish a smaller search space.Third,the connection provides a useful feedback to direct the search.We resort to a modern metaheuristic algorithm to satisfy this searching requirement.We developed a prototype Pusher and evaluated its performance on several benchmarks and four real-world programs.The experimental results demonstrate that Pusher works better than some other state-of-the-art fuzzers on bug detection,and can achieve a higher testing coverage.Moreover,we take a detailed statistic about the execution overhead in Pusher,and the results indicate that the execution overhead introduced by our approach is within an acceptable scope.Bin Zhang Jiaxi Ye Ruilin Li Chao Feng Yunfei Su Chaojing Tang 2022Frontiers of Computer Science2022,16,4:0
