Organic carbon isotope gradient and ocean stratification across the late Ediacaran-Early Cambrian Yangtze Platform显示文摘Organic carbon isotope(δ13Corg) data from two well-preserved sections across a shallow-to-deep water transect of the late Ediacaran-Early Cambrian Yangtze Platform in South China show significant temporal and spatial variations. In the shallow-water Jiulongwan-Jijiapo section, δ13Corg values of the late Ediacaran Dengying Formation range from -29‰ to -24‰. In the deep-water Longbizui section, δ13Corg values from time-equivalent strata of the Dengying Formation are mostly between –35‰ and -32‰. These new data, in combination with δ13Corg data reported from other sections in South China, reveal a 6‰–8‰ shallow-to-deep water δ13Corg gradient. High δ13Corg values(>-30‰) occur mostly in shallow-water carbonate rocks, whereas low δ13Corg values(<-32‰) dominate the deep-water black shale and chert. The large temporal and spatial δ13Corg variations imply limited buffering effect from a large dissolved organic carbon(DOC) reservoir that was inferred to have existed in Ediacaran-Early Cambrian oceans. Instead, δ13Corg variations between platform and basin sections are more likely caused by differential microbial biomass contribution to total organic matter. High δ13Corg values(>-30‰) documented from shallow-water carbonates are within the range of typical Phanerozoic δ13Corg data and may record the isotope signature of organic matter from primary(photosynthetic) production. In contrast, low δ13Corg values(<-32‰) from deep-water sections may have resulted from higher chemoautotrophic or methanotrophic biomass contribution to bulk organic matter in anoxic environments. The δ13Corg data provide indirect evidence for ocean stratification and episodic chemocline fluctuations in the Ediacaran-Early Cambrian Yangtze Platform. | WANG XinQiang SHI XiaoYing JIANG GanQing TANG DongJie | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,5: | 11
A Resource for Inactivation of MicroRNAs Using Short Tandem Target Mimic Technology in Model and Crop Plants显示文摘microRNAs (miRNAs)are endogenous small non-coding RNAs that bind to mRNAs and target them for cleavage and/or translational repression, leading to gene silencing. We previously developed short tandem target mimic (STTM)technology to deactivate endogenous miRNAs in Arabidopsis. Here,we created hundreds of STTMs that target both conserved and species-specific miRNAs in Arabidopsis, tomato, rice, and maize, providing a resource for the functional interrogation of miRNAs.We not only revealed the functions of several miRNAs in plant development, but also demonstrated that tissue-specific inactivation of a few miRNAs in rice leads to an increase in grain size without adversely affecting overall plant growth and development.RNA-seq and small RNAseq analyses of STTM156/157 and STTM165/166 transgenic plants revealed the roles of these miRNAs in plant hormone biosynthesis and activation, secondary metabolism, and ion-channel activity-associated electrophysiology, demonstrating that STTM technology is an effective approach for studying miRNA functions. To facilitate the study and application of STTM transgenic plants and to provide a useful platform for storing and sharing of information about miRNA-regulated gene networks,we have established an online Genome Browser (http://gffzzc750bc0108fa4044sckp5fnnoknok695f.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/designindex2.php) to display the transcriptomic and miRNAomic changes in STTMinduced miRNA knockdown plants. | Ting Peng Mengmeng Qiao Haiping Liu Sachin Teotia Zhanhui Zhang Yafan Zhao Bobo Wang Dongjie Zhao Lina Shi Cui Zhang Brandon Le Kestrel Rogers Chathura Gunasekara Haitang Duan Yiyou Gu Lei Tian Jinfu Nie Jian Qi Fanrong Meng Lan Huang Qinghui Chen Zhenlin Wang Jinshan Tang Xiaoqing Tang Ting Lan Xuemei Chen Hairong Wei Quanzhi Zhao Guiliang Tang | 2018 | Molecular Plant2018,11,11: | 7
Early Jurassic basal sauropodomorpha dominated tracks from Guizhou, China: Morphology, ethology, and paleoenvironment显示文摘The newly discovered large(350 m^2) Yantan dinosaur tracksite, in the Lower Jurassic Ziliujing Formation of Guizhou Province, China, reveals at least 250 footprints of which ~97 can be resolved into trackways of sauropodomorphs. All the trackways are sub parallel likely indicating gregarious behavior. One theropod track(cf. Grallator) was recorded. The sauropodomorph tracks predominantly represent quadrupedal progression(Morphotype A), and footprint morphology is similar to the ichnospecies Liujianpusshunan, characterized by outward pes rotation. Three trackways indicate bipedal progression, and two of these(Morphotype B) indicate inward pes rotation, accompanied by elongate pes digit scratch marks. For the latter phenomenon three possible scenarios are discussed:(1) significant rotation changes accompanying changes in gait,(2) swimming behavior,(3) formation of undertracks.Sedimentological evidence indicates the tracks were made on a linguloid rippled, muddy, immature sandstone substrate characterized by significant differences in substrate consistency across the trackbearing surface. Microbially induced sedimentary structures(MISS) characterized by distinctive wrinkle marks indicate a stressed, probably semi-arid, paleoenvironment that was not conducive to habitation by invertebrate organisms. This is consistent with other evidence that Lower Jurassic sauropodomorph tracks are often associated with semi-arid paleoenvironments. | Lida Xing Martin G. | 4 | Environment controls on Mesoproterozoic thrombolite morphogenesis:A case study from the North China Platform显示文摘Thrombolites are widespread in the Mesoproterozoic Wumishan Formation in the North China Platform. This study shows that they mainly concentrated in subtidal carbonate facies with relatively low hydrodynamic conditions, rather than in intertidal zone as suggested previously. From the deep lower to the shallow upper subtidal facies, the thrombolites show evident changes in morphology from dominantly domal to tabular forms, likely suggestive of environmental controls on their morphogenesis and distribution. As the most important component in thrombolites, mesoclots typically consist of organic-rich micritic nuclei and organic-poor fibrous aragonite rims.Mesoclots may vary considerably in their morphology, but a type of specifically shaped mesoclots tends to concentrate predominantly in a particular group of thrombolites. The proportion of the fibrous aragonite rims in mesoclots decrease as the depositional environments become shallower, likely suggesting that the environmental changes also have controls on the internal fabrics of thrombolites.Putative filamentous bacterial colonies are well preserved in some aragonite fans in the matrix between mesoclots, invoking rapid precipitation and aragonite-supersaturated conditions in the ambient waters. It seems that a suboxic to anoxic environment, highly alkaline seawater and relatively low hydrodynamic conditions were among the important factors that facilitated the development and preservation of thrombolites in the Mesoproterozoic epeiric sea on the North China Platform. | Tang Dongjie Shi Xiaoying Jiang Ganqing Pei Yunpeng Zhang Wenhao | 2013 | Journal of Palaeogeography2013,2,3: | 5
Bevacizumab biosimilar LY01008 compared with bevacizumab(Avastin)as first-line treatment for Chinese patients with unresectable, metastatic,or recurrent non-squamous non-small-cell lung cancer:A multicenter,randomized,double-blinded,phase Ⅲ trial显示文摘Background:Previous studies have demonstrated the preclinical pharmacological and toxicological consistency, and clinical pharmacokinetic equivalence of bevacizumab biosimilar LY01008 with reference bevacizumab(Avastin). This randomized controlled trial aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of LY01008 with Avastin in first-line treatment of Chinese patients with advanced or recurrent non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods:StageⅢB-ⅣNSCLC patients with evaluable lesions, good physical status, and adequate organ functions from 67 centers across China were randomized in a ratio of 1:1 to receive LY01008 or Avastin 15 mg/kg intravenously in combination with paclitaxel/carboplatin(combined treatment)for 4-6 cycles, followed by maintenance monotherapy with LY01008 until disease progression, intolerable toxicity,or death. The primary endpoint was objective response rate(ORR)in accordance with Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors(RECIST)version 1.1 confirmed by independent radiological review committees(IRRC).Secondary endpoints included disease control rate(DCR),duration of response(DoR),progression-free survival(PFS),overall survival(OS),and safety. This study was registered in Clinical Trials.gov(NCT03533127).Results:Between December 15^(th),2017,and May 15^(th),2019,a total of 649 patients were randomized to the LY01008(n=324)or Avastin(n=325)group.As of September 25th,2019 for primary endpoint analysis,589 patients received ORR evaluation, with a median number of combined treatment cycles of 5(range 1-6)andmedian duration of treatment of 3.0(range 0.0-5.1)months.ORRof responseevaluable patients in the LY01008 and Avastin groups were 48.5% and 53.0%,respectively.The stratified ORR ratio was 0.91(90%CI 0.80-1.04,within the prespecified equivalence margin of 0.75-1.33).Up to May 15^(th),2020,with a median follow-up of 13.6(range 0.8-28.4)months,no notable differences in DCR,median DoR,median PFS,median OS,and 1-year OS rate were observed between the LY01008 and Avastin groups. There were no clinically meaningful differences in safety and immunogenicity across treatment groups.Conclusions:LY01008 demonstrated similarity to Avastin in terms of efficacy and safety in Chinese patients with advanced or recurrent non-squamous NSCLC.LY01008 combined with paclitaxel/carboplatin is expected to become a new treatment option for unresectable,metastatic,LY01008 and Avastin groups. There were no clinically meaningful differences in safety and immunogenicity across treatment groups.Conclusions:LY01008 demonstrated similarity to Avastin in terms of efficacy and safety in Chinese patients with advanced or recurrent non-squamous NSCLC.LY01008 combined with paclitaxel/carboplatin is expected to become a new treatment option for unresectable, metastatic,or recurrent non-squamous NSCLC patients in the first-line setting. | Yuankai Shi Kaijian Lei Yuming Jia Bingqiang Ni Zhiyong He Minghong Bi Xicheng Wang Jianhua Shi Ming Zhou Qian Sun Guolei Wang Dongji Chen Yongqian Shu Lianke Liu Zhongliang Guo Yong Liu Junquan Yang Ke Wang Ke Xiao LinWu Tienan Yi Debin Sun Mafei Kang Tianjiang Ma Yimin Mao Jinsheng Shi Tiegang Tang Yan Wang Puyuan Xing Dongqing Lv Wangjun Liao Zhiguo Luo Bin Wang Xiaohong Wu Xiaoli Zhu Shuhua Han Qisen Guo Rongyu Liu Zhiwei Lu Jianyong Zhang Jian Fang Changlu Hu Yinghua Ji Guolong Liu Hong Lu Dedong Wu Junhong Zhang Shuyang Zhu Zheng Liu Wensheng Qiu Feng Ye Yan Yu Yanqiu Zhao Qinhong Zheng Jun Chen Zhanyu Pan Yiping Zhang Wenjuan Lian Bo Jiang Bo Qiu Guojun Zhang Hua Zhang Yanju Chen Yuan Chen Hongbing Duan Manxiang Li Shengming Liu Lijun Ma Hongming Pan Xia Yuan Xueli Yuan Yulong Zheng Emei Gao Li Zhao Shumin Wang Can Wu | 2021 | Cancer Communications2021,41,9: | 5
Deformation analysis of transversely isotropic coal-rock mass with porous and cracks显示文摘Coal-rock as a typical sedimentary rock has obvious stratification, namely it has transversely isotropic feature.Meanwhile, deformation leads to coal-rock mass having the characteristics of different porous and crack structures as well as local anisotropy.Equivalent axial and circumferential strain' formulas of the pure coal-rock mass specimen with a single crack were derived through the establishment of equivalent mechanical model of standard cylindrical coal-rock specimen, and have been widely used to a variety of media combined different structures containing multiple cracks. The complete stress strain curve of a real coal-rock specimen was obtained by the CTC test.Additionally, according to the comparison with the theoretical value, the theoretical mechanical model could well explain the deformation characteristics of coal-rock mass and verify its validity.Further, following features were analyzed:strain normalized coefficient and elastic modulus(Poisson's ratio) in vertical and parallel direction to the stratification, stratification angle, porosity, pore radius, normal and tangential stiffness of crack, and the relationship of different crack width with different tangential stiffness of crack.Through the analysis above,it substantiate this claim that the theoretical model with better reliability reflects the transversely isotropic nature of the coal-rock and the local anisotropy caused by the porous and cracks. | Xue Dongjie Zhou Hongwei Kong Lin Tang Xianli Zhao Tian Yi Haiyang Zhao Yufeng | 2012 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,6: | 3
Evaluating the mechanical properties of anisotropic shale containing bedding and natural fractures with discrete element modeling显示文摘Natural fracture data from one of the Carboniferous shale masses in the eastern Qaidam Basin were used to establish a stochastic model of a discrete fracture network and to perform discrete element simulation research on the size efect and mechanical parameters of shale.Analytical solutions of fctitious joints in transversely isotropic media were derived, which made it possible for the proposed numerical model to simulate the bedding and natural fractures in shale masses. The results indicate that there are two main factors infuencing the representative elementary volume(REV)size of a shale mass. The frst and most decisive factor is the presence of natural fractures in the block itself. The second is the anisotropy ratio:the greater the anisotropy is,the larger the REV.The bedding angle has little infuence on the REV size, whereas it has a certain infuence on the mechanical parameters of the rock mass. When the bedding angle approaches the average orientation of the natural fractures, the mechanical parameters of the shale blocks decrease greatly. The REV representing the mechanical properties of the Carboniferous shale masses in the eastern Qaidam Basin were comprehensively identifed by considering the infuence of bedding and natural fractures. When the numerical model size is larger than the REV,the fractured rock mass discontinuities can be transformed into equivalent continuities, which provides a method for simulating shale with natural fractures and bedding to analyze the stability of a borehole wall in shale. | Yingjie Li Lihong Song Yuanjun Tang Jianping Zuo Dongjie Xue | 2022 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2022,9,2: | 1

High-resolution global mature and young oil palm plantation subclass maps for 2020显示文摘Accurate high-resolution maps of oil palm plantations underpin effective management of environmental and socio-economic impacts at global, regional, and national levels. However, young industrial and highly irregular small-holder plantations are mostly unmapped and not included in official FAO statistics. This issue is addressed here by discriminating global oil palm plantation in 2020 into four subclasses:Industrial Mature Oil Palm(IMOP);Industrial Young Oil Palm(IYOP);Smallholder Mature Oil Palm(SMOP);and Smallholder Young Oil Palm(SYOP).Data, resolved to 4.77 m,from Planet&NICFI,Sentinel-1/2,were combined with other layers using the image-oriented classification and regression tree(CART)algorithm which performed best in classification tests. Results show that SMOP dominates distributional extent, but it was also the most accurately mapped subclass typically found at 500–1000 m altitude.IMOP had the most extensive altitude range of 500–1300 m,while IYOP and SYOP were found at similar altitudes of 500–800 m and 500–900 m respectively.Recent developments in South East Asia show oil palm plantations expanding into new areas with a slope of 24 degrees. Results provide data to support Sustainable Development Goal by assisting future oil palm-related development planning and monitoring in the world’s major oil palm-growing countries. | You Xu Dongjie Fu Hao Yu Fenzhen Su Vincent Lyne Rong Fan Bin He Tingting Pan Jiasheng Tang | 2023 | International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1: | 0
Significant effects of transport on nanoparticles during new particle formation events in the atmosphere of Beijing显示文摘The mechanisms of new particle formation(NPF)events that occurred under high aerosol loadings(“polluted”NPF)in the atmosphere have been unclear, which has inhibited the precision of particlepollution control. To deepen the understanding of how the“polluted”NPF events occur,a one-monthcomprehensive measurement was conducted in the atmosphere of Beijing during the summer of2016.The“clean”NPF events(frequency=22%)(condensation sink,CS<0.015 s^(-1))were found to becaused by local nucleation and growth. The“polluted”NPF events(frequency=28%)(CS>0.015 s^(-1))were influenced by both local nucleation-growth and regional transport, and the contributions from thetwo factors to 6e25 nm particle number concentration were 60%and 40%,respectively.This studyemphasized the importance of the transport for nanoparticles in relatively polluted atmospheres, and forthat the regional joint particle pollution control would be an essential policy. | Dongjie Shang Min Hu Lizi Tang Xin Fang Ying Liu Yusheng Wu Zhuofei Du Xuhui Cai Zhijun Wu Shengrong Lou Mattias Hallquist Song Guo Yuanhang Zhang | 2023 | Particuology2023,,9: | 0
