1Stability analysis of alkaline nitrobenzene-containing wastewater by a catalyzed Fe-Cu treatment process显示文摘Iron and copper bimetallic system(catalyzed Fe-Cu process)is a promising technology for alkaline nitrobenzene-containing wastewater treatment.However,little is currently known about the changes of treatment efficiency with time going.This research investigated the long-term performance of the catalyzed Fe-Cu process to reduce nitrobenzene(NB)in alkaline wastewater.In addition,the changes of the metal surfaces morphologies and matters before and after the reaction were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)in conjunction with energy-dispersion spectroscopy(EDS)and X-ray diffraction spectros-copy(XRD).The results showed that the surface properties of copper almost remained unchanged after weeks of operation,which spelled its strong chemical stability and resistance to poisoning.Moreover,the results indicated that there were two reasons for the treatment efficiency decreasing with time.One was the gradual iron element consumption due to corro-sion.The other was iron reactivity weakened due to the precipitates accumulation on the surfaces that were mainly Fe_(3)O_(4) and FeCO.FAN Jinhong XU Wenying GAO Tingyao MA Luming 2007Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2007,1,4:3
2Model Test of Deformation Evolution and Multi Factor Prediction of Anchorage Slope Stability under Rainfall Condition显示文摘The stability of the anchorage slope on the Baiyang Yangtze River Highway Bridge in Yichang,China,was investigated under different rainfall conditions using model test,numerical simulation,and factor analysis.The results of the study are as follows:(1)with the increase of rainfall intensity,the change of earth pressure can be divided into three stages.However,when the rainfall intensity was larger than a certain value,the change of earth pressure of cut slope became two stages;with the increase of rainfall intensity,pore water pressure increased with the increase of rainfall time,while at a certain stage after the rainfall,the pore water pressure in the cut slope did not decrease immediately,but increased for a period of time.(2)When the rainfall stopped,the stability coefficient of the anchorage slope continued to decrease,then slowly increased,and finally tended to be gentle.Meanwhile,when the rainstorm reached a certain intensity,the main factor that restricted the rainfall infiltration rate became the geotechnical permeability coefficient of the cut slope,which was no longer the rainfall intensity.(3)Factor analysis shows that the rainfall intensity and rainfall duration were the most important factors for anchorage slope stability,while earth pressure,pore water pressure and slope displacement were much less significant.Tingyao Wu Jianhong Jia Nan Jiang Chuanbo Zhou Xuedong Luo Yuqing Xia 2020Journal of Earth Science2020,31,6:3

8Interaction between M-CSF and IL-10 on productions ofIL-12 and IL-18 and expressions of CD14, CD23, and CD64 by human monocytes显示文摘AIM: To Study the interaction of macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) and interleukin-10 (IL-10) in productions of IL-12 and IL-18 and expressions of CD 14, CD23, and CD64 by human monocytes. METHODS: Purified adherent human monocytes were cultured with M-CSF or IL-10 alone, or with M-CSF+IL-10 and 2-3d later, the culture supernatants and cells were separated and collected. IL-12P40 and IL-18 levels in the supernatants were determined by ELISA and the percentages of CD 14, CD23, and CD64 positive cells were examined by flow cytometry. RESULTS: (1) IL-10 decreased M-CSF-induced IL-18 levels, while M-CSF further reduced IL-12P40 level in the culture supernatants of IL-10-treated monocytes; (2) IL-l0 alone had no effect on the percentage of CD14-positive cells, but further increased the percentage of CD14-positive cells induced by M-CSF; M-CSF alone had no effect on the percentage of CD64-positive cells, but further increased the percentage of CD64-positive cells induced by IL-10, (3) IL-10 decreased the percentage of CD23-positive cells induced by M-CSF. 14Growth regulation of luminescent gold nanoparticles directed from amphiphilic block copolymers:highly-controlled nanoassemblies toward tailored in-vivo transport显示文摘The understanding of amphiphilic block copolymers(ABC)in encapsulation and transport of inorganic nanomedicines is highly desired.Still,it remains limited due to the challenges in the fabrication of nanoassemblies(NAs)with highly-controlled shape and loading of nanoparticles.Herein,through growth regulation of luminescent gold nanoparticles(Au NPs)by different reductants with ABC pluronic F127 as a template,a straightforward strategy is reported for in-situ fabrication of three wellcontrolled gold NAs(Au NAs)that display tunable shapes from spherical to elongated nanostructures and controllable surface chemistry and loading of Au NPs with distinct emissions but identical individual Au NP size.The three Au NAs exhibit tailored invivo transport behaviours:those with spherical shape and more hydrophilic surface show longer blood retention with higher tumor-targeting efficiency(~25.3%injection dose/g)and excellent long-term near-infrared tumor imaging even after 96 h postinjection.These findings provide a useful guidance in designing specific nanostructures for future nanomedicine transport.Liting Nong Tingyao Zhou Huarui Chen Bing Tang Jinbin Liu 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,1:0

16Safety assessment for buried drainage box culvert under influence of underground connected aisle blasting:A case study显示文摘Blasting engineering in complex urban environments is considered to influence the safety and stability of the overlying drainage box culvert structure owing to vibration.Therefore,field blasting and vibration tests were performed on the blasting engineering of the Wuhan Metro Line 8 connected aisle,and the LS-DYNA software was used to analyze the dynamic response characteristics of an underground drainage box culvert during the blasting test.The vibration response evolution law of the buried drainage box culvert under blasting vibration was investigated,and a safe surface control standard for the blast vibration of a drainage box culvert is proposed.The results reveal that the maximum tensile stress of the box culvert structure was 0.33 MPa.The peak particle velocity(PPV)and peak tensile stress(PTS)of the drainage box culvert decreased as the water level in the box culvert increased.Based on the relationship between the tensile stress of the box culvert,PPV of the box culvert,and PPV of the surface,it is proposed that the surface control velocity of the buried drainage box culvert is 1.36 cm/s.Wenchang SUN Nan JIANG Chuanbo ZHOU Jinshan SUN Tingyao WU 2023Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2023,17,2:0
17Acupotomy ameliorates subchondral bone absorption and mechanical properties in rabbits with knee osteoarthritis by regulating bone morphogenetic protein 2-Smad1 pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of acupotomy on the subchondral bone absorption and mechanical properties in rabbits with knee osteoarthritis(KOA).METHODS:The rabbits were divided into blank control,model,acupotomy and electroacupuncture(EA)groups,with 12 rabbits in each.Modified Videman's method was used to prepare KOA model.The acupotomy and EA group were given indicated intervention for 3 weeks.The behavior of rabbits in each group was recorded.Subsequently,cartilage–subchondral bone units were obtained and morphological changes were observed by optical microscope and micro computed tomography.Compression test was used to detect the mechanical properties of subchondral bone,Western blot and real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)were applied to detect the expression of bone morphogenetic protein 2-Smad1(BMP2-Smad1)pathway in subchondral bone.RESULTS:Compared with the control group,rabbits in the KOA group showed lameness,knee pain,and cartilage degradation;the subchondral bone showed active resorption,the mechanical properties decreased significantly and the BMP2-Smad1 pathway downregulated significantly.Both acupotomy and EA intervention could increase the thickness of trabecular bone(Tb.Th),the bone volume fraction(BV/TV)and the thickness of subchondral bone plate,reduce the separation of trabecular bone(Tb.Sp),improve the maximum load and elastic modulus of subchondral bone,and effectively delay cartilage degeneration in KOA rabbits.This process may be achieved through upregulation the related proteins of BMP2-Smad1 pathway.The maximum load and elastic modulus of subchondral bone in the acupotomy group were slightly better than those in the EA group.CONCLUSIONS:Acupotomy could effectively protect cartilage by inhibiting abnormal bone resorption and improving mechanical properties of subchondral bone thorough the related proteins of BMP2-Smad1 pathway in KOA rabbits.Chen Xilin GUO Yan LU Juan QIN Luxue HU Tingyao ZENG Xin WANG Xinyue ZHANG Anran ZHUANG Yuxin ZHONG Honggang GUO Changqing 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,4:0
