12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 2Ultrafast epitaxial growth of metre-sized single-crystal graphene on industrial Cu foil显示文摘A foundation of the modern technology that uses single-crystal silicon has been the growth of highquality single-crystal Si ingots with diameters up to 12 inches or larger. For many applications of graphene, large-area high-quality(ideally of single-crystal) material will be enabling. Since the first growth on copper foil a decade ago, inch-sized single-crystal graphene has been achieved. We present here the growth, in 20 min, of a graphene film of(5 ×50) cm^2 dimension with >99% ultra-highly oriented grains.This growth was achieved by:(1) synthesis of metre-sized single-crystal Cu(1 1 1) foil as substrate;(2)epitaxial growth of graphene islands on the Cu(1 1 1) surface;(3) seamless merging of such graphene islands into a graphene film with high single crystallinity and(4) the ultrafast growth of graphene film.These achievements were realized by a temperature-gradient-driven annealing technique to produce single-crystal Cu(1 1 1) from industrial polycrystalline Cu foil and the marvellous effects of a continuous oxygen supply from an adjacent oxide. The as-synthesized graphene film, with very few misoriented grains(if any), has a mobility up to ~23,000 cm^2 V^(-1)s^(-1)at 4 K and room temperature sheet resistance of ~230 Ω/□. 4Effect of barium sulfate modification on the SO2 tolerance of V2O5/TiO2 catalyst for NH3-SCR reaction显示文摘Sulfur poisoning of V_2O_5/BaSO_4–TiO_2(VBT),V_2O_5/WO_3–TiO_2(VWT) and V_2O_5/BaSO_4–WO_3–TiO_2(VBWT) catalysts was performed in wet air at 350℃ for 3 hr,and activities for the selective catalytic reduction of NO_x with NH_3 were evaluated for 200–500℃.The VBT catalyst showed higher NO_x conversions after sulfur poisoning than the other two catalysts.The introduction of barium sulfate contributed to strong acid sites for the as-received catalyst,and eliminated the redox cycle of active vanadium oxide to some extent,which resulted in a certain loss of activity.Readily decomposable sulfate species formed on VBT-S instead of inactive sulfates on VWT-S.These decomposable sulfates increased the number of strong acid sites significantly.Some sulfate species escaped during catalyst preparation and barium sulfate was reproduced during sulfur poisoning,which protects vanadia from sulfur oxide attachment to a great extent.Consequently,the VBT catalyst exhibited the best resistance to sulfur poisoning.Tengfei Xu Xiaodong Wu Xuesong Liu Li Cao Qiwei Lin Duan Weng 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,7:14
5Effects of viral infection and microbial diversity on patients with sepsis:A retrospective study based on metagenomic next-generation sequencing显示文摘BACKGROUND: The study aims to investigate the performance of a metagenomic next-generationsequencing (NGS)-based diagnostic technique for the identifi cation of potential bacterial and viral infectionsand eff ects of concomitant viral infection on the survival rate of intensive care unit (ICU) sepsis patients.METHODS: A total of 74 ICU patients with sepsis who were admitted to our institution from February1, 2018 to June 30, 2019 were enrolled. Separate blood samples were collected from patients for bloodcultures and metagenomic NGS when the patients’ body temperature was higher than 38 °C. Patients’demographic data, including gender, age, ICU duration, ICU scores, and laboratory results, were recorded.The correlations between pathogen types and sepsis severity and survival rate were evaluated.RESULTS: NGS produced higher positive results (105 of 118;88.98%) than blood cultures(18 of 118;15.25%) over the whole study period. Concomitant viral infection correlated closelywith sepsis severity and had the negative effect on the survival of patients with sepsis. However,correlation analysis indicated that the bacterial variety did not correlate with the severity of sepsis.CONCLUSIONS: Concurrent viral load correlates closely with the severity of sepsis and thesurvival rate of the ICU sepsis patients. 7Prognostic role of neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio in operable esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To determine the prognostic significance of preoperative serum neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio(NLR) in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).METHODS: Data from 371 eligible patients with ESCC who had undergone surgery with curative intent at our institution between October 2000 and May 2007 were retrospectively recruited for analysis. The cutoff value of NLR was 3.0 as determined by the receiver operating characteristic curve, which discriminated between survival and death; the area under the curve was 0.709, and the sensitivity and specificity were 66.1% and 69.1%, respectively, at the cutoff point. The correlation between the NLR and clinicopathological characteristics was analyzed using a χ2 test. The prognostic influence of the NLR and other clinicopathological factors on cancer-specific survival(CSS) and recurrence-free survival(RFS) was studied using the Kaplan-Meier method. To evaluate the independent prognostic value of NLR, multivariate Cox regression models were applied.RESULTS:The median age of the patients was 57.0years,and 276/371(74.4%)patients were male.The NLR was≤3.0 in 80.1%(297/371)of the patients,and the remaining 19.9%(74/371)had an NLR>3.0.Median postoperative follow-up was 66.0 mo[interquartile range(IQR):49.0-76.0 mo],with a follow-up rate of 94%.Follow-up was not significantly different between patients with an NLR≤and>3.0(63.13±1.64 vs 61.52±3.66,P=0.711).However,higher preoperative serum NLR was associated with significantly increased risks of higher pathological tumor status(P=0.007).A significant,independent association between high preoperative serum NLR and poor clinical outcome was identified in a multivariate analysis for CSS(HR=1.591;P=0.007)and RFS(HR=1.525;P=0.013).Moreover,when patients were stratified by pathological tumor-node-metastasis(TNM)staging,the adverse effects of preoperative serum NLR on CSS(HR=2.294;P=0.008)and RFS(HR=2.273;P=0.008)were greatest in those patients with stageⅢA disease.CONCLUSION:Preoperative serum NLR is a useful prognostic marker to complement TNM staging for operable ESCC patients,particularly in patients with stageⅢA disease.Hao Duan Xu Zhang Fei-Xiang Wang Mu-Yan Cai Guo-Wei Ma Hong Yang Jian-Hua Fu Zi-Hui Tan Yu-Qi Meng Xia-Yu Fu Qi-Long Ma Peng Lin 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,18:13

12Pitting corrosion of 2Cr13 stainless steel in deep-sea environment显示文摘Pitting corrosion of 2Cr13 stainless steel was investigated by deep-sea exposure test at various depths of 500 m,800 m and 1200 m in the South China Sea for 4 months.With the aid of electrochemical measurements in simulated deep-sea environments and grey relational analysis,the influence of deepsea environments on passive film and the mechanism of pitting corrosion were discussed.The results indicated that with the increase of sea depth,pitting depth of 2Cr13 stainless steel increased,which can be attributed to the change of chemical composition and the degradation of pitting resistance of passive film.Film growth was greatly retarded in the condition of low seawater temperature and low dissolved oxygen content of deep sea,resulting in an unstable and vulnerable film.Pitting depth was most influenced by hydrostatic pressure,which can increase the adsorption and penetration of Cl-ion,and promote the proliferation of point defects in passive film,leading to rapid deconstruction of protective oxides of the film.Pitting sensitivity of 2Cr13 stainless steel increased eventually with the combination of accelerated dissolution and suppressed self-healing of passive film in deep sea.Xinhua Wang Lin Fan Kangkang Ding Likun Xu Weimin Guo Jian Hou Tigang Duan 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,5:6

14DJ-1 is involved in the multidrug resistance of SGC7901 gastric cancer cells through PTEN/PI3K/Akt/Nrf2 pathway显示文摘Gastric cancer is a common malignancy worldwide.The occurrence of multidrug resistance(MDR)is the major obstacle for effective gastric cancer chemotherapy.In this study,the in-depth molec-ular mechanism of the DJ-1-induced MDR in SGC7901 gastric cancer cells was investigated.The results showed that DJ-1 expression level was higher in MDR variant SGC7901NCR cells than that in its parental SGC7901 cells.Moreover,DJ-1 overexpression conferred the MDR phenotype to SGC7901 cells,while DJ-1 knockdown in SGC7901NCR cells induced re-sensitization to adriamycin,vincristine,cisplatin,and 5-fluorouracil.These results suggested that DJ-1 mediated the develop-ment of MDR in SGC7901 gastric cancer cells.Importantly,further data revealed that the activation of PI3k/Akt and Nrf2 signaling pathway were required for the DJ-1-induced MDR phenotype in SGC7901 gastric cancer cells.Meanwhile,we found that Pl3k/Akt pathway was activated probably through DJ-1 directly binding to and negatively regulating PTEN,consequently resulting in Nrf2 phosphorylation and activation,and thereby inducing Nrf2-dependent P-glycoprotein(P-gp)and Bcl-2 expressions in the DJ-1-mediated MDR of SGC7901 gastric cancer cells.Overall,these results revealed that activating PTEN/PI3K/Akt/Nrf2 pathway and subsequently upregulating P-gp and Bcl-2 expression could be a critical mechanism by which DJ-1 mediates the development of MDR in SGC7901 gastric cancer cells.The new findings may be helpful for understanding the mechanisms of MDR in gastric cancer cells,prompting its further investigation as a molecular target to overcome MDR.Lejia Qiu Zhaoxia Ma Xiaoran Li Yizhang Deng Guangling Duan Le Zhao Xingwang Xu Lin Xiao Haoyue Liu Zhengming Zhu Heping Chen 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,11:5
15CO_2 methanation over TiO_2–Al_2O_3 binary oxides supported Ru catalysts显示文摘TiO_2 modified Al_2O_3 binary oxide was prepared by a wet-impregnation method and used as the support for ruthenium catalyst. The catalytic performance of Ru/TiO_2–Al_2O_3catalyst in CO_2 methanation reaction was investigated. Compared with Ru/Al_2O_3 catalyst, the Ru/TiO_2–Al_2O_3catalytic system exhibited a much higher activity in CO_2 methanation reaction. The reaction rate over Ru/TiO_2–Al_2O_3 was 0.59 mol CO_2·(g Ru)1·h-1, 3.1 times higher than that on Ru/Al_2O_3[0.19 mol CO_2·(gRu)-1·h-1]. The effect of TiO_2 content and TiO_2–Al_2O_3calcination temperature on catalytic performance was addressed. The corresponding structures of each catalyst were characterized by means of H_2-TPR, XRD, and TEM. Results indicated that the averaged particle size of the Ru on TiO_2–Al_2O_3support is 2.8 nm, smaller than that on Al_2O_3 support of 4.3 nm. 16Group VB transition metal dichalcogenides for oxygen reduction reaction and strain-enhanced activity governed by p-orbital electrons of chalcogen显示文摘Developi ng alter native oxyge n reducti on reactio n (ORR) catalysts to replace precious Pt-based metals with abundant materials is the key challe nge of commercial application of fuel cells. Owing to their various compositi ons and tun able electronic properties, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have the great potential to realize high-efficiency catalysts for ORR. Here, various 3R-phase dichalcogenides of group VB and VIB transition metals (MX2, M = Nb, Ta, Mo, W;X = S, Se, Te) are investigated for ORR catalysts by using density functional theory calculations. The computed over-potentials of group VB TMDs are much less than those of group VIB TMDs. For group VB TMDs, a volcano-type plot of ORR catalytic activity is established on the adsorption energies of *OH, and NbS2 and TaTe2 exhibit best ORR activity with an oveepotential of 0.54 V. To achieve even better activity, strain engineering is performed to tune ORR catalytic activity, and the minimum over-potential of 0.43 V can be realized. 17Synthesis of Mg-Al-carbonate layered double hydroxide by an atom-economic reaction显示文摘A clean method for preparing layered double hydroxides (LDHs) has been developed, featured by using the hydroxides of two different metals as starting materials by atom-economic reactions. The reactions were carried out under hydrothermal conditions in either a high pressure autoclave or a microwave digester. The compositions, structural parameters and thermal behavior of the resulting LDHs are very similar to those of materials produced by using the separate nucleation and aging steps (SNAS) method. The major advantage of the new method is that no by-product is produced, so that filtration and washing processes are unnecessary. 18Plasma αl-antitrypsin: A Neglected Predictor of Angiographic Severity in Patients with Stable Angina Pectoris显示文摘Background: As an acute phase protein, ct I-antitrypsin (AAT) has been extensively studied in acute coronary syndrome, but it is unclear whether a relationship exists between AAT and stable angina pectoris (SAP). The purpose of the present study was to investigate the association between AAT plasma levels and SAP. Methods: Overall, 103 SAP patients diagnosed by coronary angiography and clinical manifestations and 118 control subjects matched for age and gender were enrolled in this case-control study. Plasma levels of AAT, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP), lipid profiles and other clinical parameters were assayed for all participants. The severity of coronary lesions was evaluated based on the Gensini score (GS) assessed by coronary angiography. Results: Positively correlated with the GS (r = 0.564, P 〈 0.001), the plasma AAT level in the SAP group was significantly higher than that in the control group (142.08 ± 19.61 mg/dl vs. 125.50 ± 19.67 mg/dl, P 〈 0.001). The plasma AAT level was an independent predictor tbr both SAP (odds ratio [OR] = 1.037, 95% confidence interval [C/]: 1.020-1.054, P 〈 0.001) and a high GS (OR = 1.087, 95% CI: 1.051-1.124, P 〈 0.001) in a multivariate logistic regression model. In the receiver operating characteristic curve analysis, plasma AAT level was found to have a larger area under the curve (AUC) for predicting a high GS (AUC = 0.858, 95% CI: 0.788-0.929, P 〈 0.001 ) than that of hsCRP (AUC = 0.665, 95% CI: 0.557-0.773, P = 0.006; Z = 2.9363, P 〈 0.001), with an optimal cut-off value of 137.85 mg/dl (sensitivity: 94.3%, specificity: 68.2%). 20High-throughput screening identifies established drugs as SARS-CoV-2 PLpro inhibitors显示文摘A new coronavirus(SARS-CoV-2)has been identified as the etiologic agent for the COVID-19 outbreak.Currently,effective treatment options remain very limited for this disease;therefore,there is an urgent need to identify new anti-COVID-19 agents.In this study,we screened over 6,000 compounds that included approved drugs,drug candidates in clinical trials,and pharmacologically active compounds to identify leads that target the SARS-CoV-2 papain-like protease(PLpro).Together with main protease(Mpro),PLpro is responsible for processing the viral replicase polyprotein into functional units.There-fore,it is an attractive target for antiviral drug develop-ment.Here we discovered four compounds,YM155,cryptotanshinone,tanshinone I and GRL0617 that inhibit SARS-CoV-2 PLpro with IC50 values ranging from 1.39 to 5.63 pmol/L.These compounds also exhibit strong antiviral activities in cell-based assays.YM155,an anti-cancer drug candidate in clinical trials,has the most potent antiviral activity with an EC50 value of 170 nmol/L.In addition,we have determined the crystal structures of this enzyme and its complex with YM155,revealing a unique binding mode.YM155 simultaneously targets three'hot'spots on PLpro,including the substrate-binding pocket,the interferon stimulating gene product 15(ISG15)binding site and zinc finger motif.Our results demonstrate the efficacy of this screening and repur-posing strategy,which has led to the discovery of new drug leads with clinical potential for COVID-19 treatments.Yao Zhao Xiaoyu Du Yinkai Duan Xiaoyan Pan Yifang Sun Tian You Lin Han Zhenming Jin Weijuan Shang Jing Yu Hangtian Guo Qianying Liu Yan Wu Chao Peng Jun Wang Chenghao Zhu Xiuna Yang Kailin Yang Ying Lei Luke W.Guddat Wenqing Xu Gengfu Xiao Lei Sun Leike Zhang Zihe Rao Haitao Yang 2021Protein & Cell2021,12,11:4
