1Character and fabrication of Al/Al_2O_3/Al tunnel junctions for qubit application显示文摘The superconductive Josephson junction is the key device for superconducting quantum computation. We have fabricated Al/Al2O3/Al tunnel junctions using a double angle evaporation method based on a suspended shadow mask. The Al2O3 junction barrier has been formed by introducing pure oxygen into the chamber during the fabrication process. We have adjusted exposure conditions by changing either the oxygen pressure or the oxidizing time during the formation of tunnel barriers to control the critical current density Jc and the junction specific resistance Rc. 2Progress of Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA)显示文摘Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA) will take the advantage of the ultra-low background of CJPL lab and high current accelerator based on an ECR source and a highly sensitive detector to directly study for the first time a number of crucial reactions occurring at their relevant stellar energies during the evolution of hydrostatic stars. In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. 4Epithelial-mesenchymal transition effect of fine particulate matter from the Yangtze River Delta region in China on human bronchial epithelial cells显示文摘Epidemiological studies have demonstrated that fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5)) exposure causes airway inflammation, which may lead to lung cancer. The activation of epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EMT) is assumed to be a crucial step in lung tumor metastasis and development. We assessed the EMT effect of low concentrations(0, 0.1, 1.0, and 5.0 μg/m L)of PM_(2.5) organic extract on a human bronchial epithelial cell line(BEAS-2 B). PM_(2.5) samples were collected from three cities(Shanghai, Ningbo, and Nanjing) in the Yangtze River Delta(YRD) region in autumn 2014. BEAS-2 B cells were exposed to the PM_(2.5) extract to assess cell viability, invasion ability as well as the relative m RNA and protein expressions of EMT markers. Our findings revealed that BEAS-2 B cells changed from the epithelial to mesenchymal phenotype after exposure. In all groups, PM_(2.5) exposure dose-dependently decreased the expression of E-cadherin and increased the expression of Vimentin. The key transcription factors, including ZEB1 and Slug, were significantly up-regulated upon exposure. These results indicated that the PM_(2.5) organic extract induced different degrees of EMT progression in BEAS-2 B cells. The cell invasion ability increased in a concentration-dependent manner after 48 hr of treatment with the extract. 5Environmental risk assessment of selected organic chemicals based on TOC test and QSAR estimation models显示文摘Environmental risks of organic chemicals have been greatly determined by their persistence,bioaccumulation, and toxicity(PBT) and physicochemical properties. Major regulations in different countries and regions identify chemicals according to their bioconcentration factor(BCF) and octanol–water partition coefficient(Kow), which frequently displays a substantial correlation with the sediment sorption coefficient(Koc). Half-life or degradability is crucial for the persistence evaluation of chemicals. Quantitative structure activity relationship(QSAR) estimation models are indispensable for predicting environmental fate and health effects in the absence of field-or laboratory-based data. In this study, 39 chemicals of high concern were chosen for half-life testing based on total organic carbon(TOC) degradation,and two widely accepted and highly used QSAR estimation models(i.e., EPI Suite and PBT Profiler) were adopted for environmental risk evaluation. The experimental results and estimated data, as well as the two model-based results were compared, based on the water solubility, Kow, Koc, BCF and half-life. Environmental risk assessment of the selected compounds was achieved by combining experimental data and estimation models. It was concluded that both EPI Suite and PBT Profiler were fairly accurate in measuring the physicochemical properties and degradation half-lives for water, soil, and sediment.However, the half-lives between the experimental and the estimated results were still not absolutely consistent. 7Synthesis and Electrochemical Properties of FeSbO_4 Nanorods显示文摘Well-crystallized FeSbO 4 nanorods with rutile-like structure are synthesized through a solid-state reaction and used as cathode material of Li-ion battery for the first time.The obtained nanorods can react with 11 Li-ions per FeSbO 4 unit with a specific discharge capacity of 1 100 1 mAh g between 0.1 and 2.0 V.Three discharge plateaus can be observed during the fully discharging process,but the reversible reaction with 1 Li occurs between 1.5 V and 4.5 V vs.Li + /Li,and the reversible capacity is only 50-80 1 mAh g.FeSbO 4 nanorods have a stable cyclic performance between 1.5 V and 4.5 V and it can be used as cathode material for rechargeable Li-ion battery.ZHANG Qinggang HU Xiaohong ZHAN Dan ZHU Guozhu PENG Tianyou 2013Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2013,18,3:0
8Alignment technology of heavy ion medicalmachine显示文摘Background Heavy ion medical machine(HIMM)is built by the Institute of Modern Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences,with a high-energy beam transport line with a height of 18 m,and its complex space mounting structure increases the difficulty of installation and alignment.Purpose The aim of this paper is to provide methods to install all accelerator components efficiently and to ensure that the alignment accuracies of all installed components are within the designed values.Methods We accomplished the fiducialization and pre-alignment of complex modules by combining the laser tracker and the alignment telescope.By analyzing various elements that affect the accuracy of alignment,a method of alignment for high-energy beam transport line was proposed based on high-precision three-dimensional control network.Results All components have been installed and aligned in a short time,alignment position accuracy of magnets is less than 0.1 mm,and the treatment components alignment accuracy is no more than 0.4 mm.Conclusions On the basis of error analysis,all alignment results are better than the required precisions,and all of these guaranteed the successful operation of HIMM.Wenjun Chen Yaqing Yang Guozhu Cai Zhiguo Cui Xiaorong Zhu Shaoming Wang 2019Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2019,3,2:0
96-2 Recent Progress of the SSC-Linac显示文摘SSC-Linac[1] as the injector for the Separated Sector Cyclotron (SSC), is being constructed at national labo-ratory Heavy Ion Research Facility at Lanzhou (HIRFL). The injection and extraction energy are 3.7 keV/u and1.025 MeV/u, respectively. Fig. 1 shows the front end section of the SSC-Linac. The high charges state continuswave (CW) 4-rod RFQ has been designed and fabricated for some years. From the end of 2013, the commissioningof the RFQ was performed and the beam test was carried out in April 2014. 12Controllably tailoring external surface sites of nanosheet HZSM-5 for maximizing light olefins in catalytic cracking of n-decane显示文摘A series of triphenylethoxysilane(TPEOS)-modified nanosheet HZSM-5 catalysts(ZN-x,x=4%,8%and16%,mass)were synthesized by chemical liquid deposition to selectively change external acidity distributions.TPEOS modification was found to passivate some external Br?nsted and Lewis acid sites by37.8%,in which Br?nsted acid sites(BAS)were found more easily sacrificed by breaking the surface Al AO bond of bridging hydroxyl groups and forming Si AOASi bonds.The selectivity of ZN-8 catalyst for light olefins(ethylene,propylene and butene)in n-decane catalytic cracking is up to 26%(450℃,WHSV=10.95 h^(-1)),which is ca.78%higher than that of parent one.The better performance was attributed to the appropriate external acid density in ZN-8,which inhibits bimolecular hydrogen transfer reaction of light olefins on the adjacent acid sites,resulting in more olefins,few coke precursors and thus an excellent catalytic stability.Tiantian Zhu Hairui Liang Bofeng Zhang Yajie Tian Guozhu Liu 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,10:0
13Effect of polygonatum polysaccharide on the hypoxia-induced apoptosis and necrosis in in vitro cultured cerebral cortical neurons from neonatal rats显示文摘BACKGROUND: Cardiocerebrovascular diseases induced cerebral circulation insufficiency and senile vascular dementia can result in ischemic/hypoxic apoptosis of central neurons, which we should pay more attention to and prevent and treat as early as possible. Traditional Chinese medicine possesses the unique advantage in this field. Polygonatum, a Chinese herb for invigorating qi, may play a role against the hypoxic apoptosis of brain neurons. OBJECTIVE: To observe the protective effect of polygonatum polysaccharide on hypoxia-induced apoptosis and necrosis in cerebral cortical neurons cultured in vitro. DESIGN: A comparative experiment. SETTING: Laboratory of Cell Biology, Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Jiangxi Provincial Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. MATERIALS: The experiment was carried out in the Laboratory of Cell Biology, Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Jiangxi Provincial Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2003 to April 2005. Totally 218 Wistar rats (male or female) of clean degree within 24 hours after birth were purchased from the animal center of Jiangxi Medical College (certification number was 021-97-03). METHODS: ① Preparation of cerebral cortical neurons of rats: The cerebral cortical tissues were isolated from the Wistar rats within 24 hours after birth, and prepared to single cell suspension, and the cerebral cortical neurons of neonatal rats were in vitro cultured in serum free medium with Neurobasal plus B27 Supplement. ② Observation on the non-toxic dosage of polygonatum polysaccharide on neurons: After the neurons were cultured for 4 days, polygonatum polysaccharide of different dosages (1-20 g/L) was added for continuous culture for 48 hours, the toxicity and non-toxic dosage of polygonatum polysaccharide on neurons were observed and detected with trypan blue staining. ③ Grouping: After hypoxia/reoxygenation, the cultured neurons were divided into normal control group, positive apoptotic group and polygonatum polysaccharide group. In the normal control group, the neurons were cultured at 37 ℃ in CO2 with the volume fraction of 0.05 under saturated humidity for 6 days. In the apoptotic positive group, the neurons were cultured with hypoxia for 12 hours after 4-day culture, and followed by reoxygenation for 48 hours. In the polygonatum polysaccharide group, polygonatum polysaccharide with the terminal concentration of 0.5, 1 and 1.5 g/L was added to some neurons at 10 hours before the hypoxia culture, and then the neurons were cultured with hypoxia for 12 hours, followed by reoxygenation for 48 hours; polygonatum polysaccharide with the terminal concentration of 0.5, 1 and 1.5 g/L was added to the other neurons at 12 hours after hypoxia followed by reoxygenation for 48 hours. ④ The Hoechst33342 fluorescence staining, Annexin V/PI flow cytometer, appearance of DNA agarose gel electrophoresis gradient strap and immunohistochemical staining were used to observe the expressions of Bcl-2, Bax and Caspase-3 apoptotic and anti-apoptotic proteins and the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax, and observe the effect of polygonatum polysaccharide against the hypoxic apoptosis of cerebral cortical neurons of neonatal rats. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Toxicity and non-toxic dosage of polygonatum polysaccharide on neurons; ② Apoptotic rate of neurons detected with Hoechst33342 fluorescence staining; ③ Early apoptotic rate and necrotic rate of neurons detected with Annexin V/PI flow cytometer; ④ DNA agarose gel electrophoresis ladder-like strap appeared or not; ⑤ Expressions of Bcl-2, Bax and Caspase-3 apoptotic and anti-apoptotic proteins and the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax. RESULTS: ① Polygonatum polysaccharide within 6 g/L had no cytotoxicity on the normal cultured cerebral cortical neurons (P > 0.05). ② The apoptotic rates of neurons detected with Hoechst33342 fluorescence staining had significant differences between the polygonatum polysaccharide groups and positive apoptosis group added to neurons at 10 hours before the hypoxia culture [(13.00±4.52)%,(12.72±2.15)%,(11.80±1.18)%,(38.03±1.05)%, P < 0.01], and had no significant differences between the polygonatum polysaccharide groups and positive apoptosis group added to neurons at 12 hours after the hypoxia culture (36.77±1.45)%, (36.60±1.61)%, (36.37±2.02)%, (38.03±1.05)%, P > 0.05].③ Annexin V/PI flow cytometer detected that the anti-necrotic effect was enhanced with the increased concentration of polygonatum polysaccharide within 0.5-1.5 g/L (P < 0.01). Polygonatum polysaccharide of 0.5-1.5 g/L added before hypoxia could significantly decrease the apoptotic rate of neurons induced by hypoxia/reoxygenation (P < 0.01). ④ No DNA agarose gel electrophoresis ladder-like strap appeared in the groups with polygonatum polysaccharide of 0.5-1.5 g/L added at 10 hours before hypoxia; ⑤ After Polygonatum polysaccharide of 0.5-1.5 g/L was added before hypoxia, the expression of Bcl-2 protein of hypoxic neurons was increased (P < 0.01), and those of Bax protein and Caspase-3 protein were reduced (P < 0.01), and the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax was increased (P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: Polygonatum polysaccharide within 6 g/L has no cytotoxicity on the normal cultured cerebral cortical neurons. Polygonatum polysaccharide of 0.5-1.5 g/L added before hypoxia plays a role agains necrosis of neurons induced by hypoxia. Polygonatum polysaccharide of 0.5-1.5 g/L can significantly reduce the apoptosis of neurons induced by hypoxia through up-regulating the expression of Bcl-2 protein, down-regulating the expressions of Bax protein and Caspase-3 protein, and increasing the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax.Guozhu Hu Jin Zhang Ning Tang Zhu Wen Rongqing Nie 2006Neural Regeneration Research2006,1,1:0
