3Linking microbial carbon pump capacity and efficacy to soil organic carbon storage and stability under heavy metal pollution显示文摘Heavy metal pollution can lead to a great loss of soil organic carbon(SOC).However,the microbial mechanisms that link heavy metal pollution to SOC remain poorly understood.Here,we investigated five apple-orchard soils at different distances from a Pb-Zn smelter.After assessing the heavy metal pollution level based on Grade Ⅱ of the national soil environmental quality standard(China),we found SOC stocks and microbial carbon pump(MCP)capacity(i.e.,microbial residue carbon)under medium and heavy pollution levels were significantly lower than those under safe,cordon and light pollution levels.The structural equation model showed causality in the SOC variations linked to pollution level through MCP capacity,which could contribute 77.8% of the variance in SOC storage.This verified MCP capacity can serve as a key parameter for evaluation of SOC storage under heavy metal pollution.Soil MCP efficacy,i.e.,the proportion of microbial residue carbon to SOC,also decreased under medium and heavy pollution.This suggested that,with a heavier pollution level,there was a higher rate of reduction of microbial residue carbon in soil than the rate of reduction of SOC.As MCP efficacy can be a useful assessment of SOC stability,the significantly positive relationship between MCP efficacy and clay content in correlation analysis implied that lower MCP efficacy was correlated with SOC stability under the heavier pollution level.Our study provides valuable insights to identify the mechanisms of microbially mediated C transformation processes that are influenced by heavy metal pollution in agroecosystems.Xiao Liu Xia Xu Tian Ma Shiwei Zhou Xiaoli Bi Hongbo He Xudong Zhang Weihuan Li 2023Soil Ecology Letters2023,5,2:1

6Understanding the dynamical-microphysical-electrical processes associated with severe thunderstorms over the Beijing metropolitan region显示文摘The Dynamical-microphysical-electrical Processes in Severe Thunderstorms and Lightning Hazards(STORM973)project conducted coordinated comprehensive field observations of thunderstorms in the Beijing metropolitan region(BMR)during the warm season from 2014 to 2018.The aim of the project was to understand how dynamical,microphysical and electrical processes interact in severe thunderstorms in the BMR,and how to assimilate lightning data in numerical weather prediction models to improve severe thunderstorm forecasts.The platforms used in the field campaign included the Beijing Lightning Network(BLNET,consisting of 16 stations),2 X-band dual linear polarimetric Doppler radars,and 4 laser raindrop spectrometers.The collaboration also made use of the China Meteorological Administration’s mesoscale meteorological observation network in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.Although diverse thunderstorm types were documented,it was found that squall lines and multicell storms were the two major categories of severe thunderstorms with frequent lightning activity and extreme rainfall or unexpected local short-duration heavy rainfall resulting in inundations in the central urban area,influenced by the terrain and environmental conditions.The flash density maximums were found in eastern Changping District,central and eastern Shunyi District,and the central urban area of Beijing,suggesting that the urban heat island effect has a crucial role in the intensification of thunderstorms over Beijing.In addition,the flash rate associated with super thunderstorms can reach hundreds of flashes per minute in the central city regions.The super(5%of the total),strong(35%),and weak(60%)thunderstorms contributed about 37%,56%,and 7%to the total flashes in the BMR,respectively.Owing to the close connection between lightning activity and the thermodynamic and microphysical characteristics of the thunderstorms,the lightning flash rate can be used as an indicator of severe weather events,such as hail and short-duration heavy rainfall.Lightning data can also be assimilated into numerical weather prediction models to help improve the forecasting of severe convection and precipitation at the cloud-resolved scale,through adjusting or correcting the thermodynamic and microphysical parameters of the model.Xiushu QIE Shanfeng YUAN Zhixiong CHEN Dongfeng WANG Dongxia LIU Mengyu SUN Zhuling SUN Abhay SRIVASTAVA Hongbo ZHANG Jingyu LU Hui XIAO Yongheng BI Liang FENG Ye TIAN Yan XU Rubin JIANG Mingyuan LIU Xian XIAO Shu DUAN Debin SU Chengyun SUN Wenjing XU Yijun ZHANG Gaopeng LU Da-Lin ZHANG Yan YIN Ye YU 2021Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,1:1

10Risk Factors and Pregnancy Outcome in Women with a History of Cesarean Section Complicated by Placenta Accreta显示文摘Objective:To explore the risk factors and pregnancy outcomes in women with a history of cesarean section complicated by placenta accreta(PA).Methods:This case-control study included clinical data from singleton mothers with a history of cesarean section in 11 public tertiary hospitals in seven provinces of China between January 2017 and December 2017.According to the intraoperative findings after delivery,the study population was divided into PA and non-PA groups.We compared the pregnancy outcomes between the two groups,used multivariate logistic regression to analyze the risk factors for placental accreta.Results:For this study we included 11,074 pregnant women with a history of cesarean section;and of these,869 cases were in the PA group and 10,205 cases were in the non-PA group.Compared with the non-PA group,the probability of postpartum hemorrhage(236/10,205,2.31%vs.283/869,32.57%),severe postpartum hemorrhage(89/10,205,0.87%vs.186/869,21.75%),diffuse intravascular coagulation(3/10,205,0.03%vs.4/869,0.46%),puerperal infection(33/10,205,0.32%vs.12/869,1.38%),intraoperative bladder injury(1/10,205,0.01%vs.16/869,1.84%),hysterectomy(130/10,205,1.27%vs.59/869,6.79%),and blood transfusion(328/10,205,3.21%vs.231/869,26.58%)was significantly increased in the PA group(P<0.05).At the same time,the neonatal birth weight 3250.00(2950.00–3520.00)g vs.2920.00(2530.00–3250.00)g),the probability of neonatal comorbidities(245/10,205,2.40%vs.61/869,7.02%),and the rate of neonatal intensive care unit admission(817/10,205,8.01%vs.210/869,24.17%)also increased significantly(P<0.05).Weight(odds ratio)(OR)=1.03,95%confidence interval(CI):1.01–1.05)),parity(OR=1.18,95%CI:1.03–1.34),number of miscarriages(OR=1.31,95%CI:1.17–1.47),number of previous cesarean sections(OR=2.57,95%CI:2.02–3.26),history of premature rupture of membrane(OR=1.61,95%CI:1.32–1.96),previous cesarean-section transverse incisions(OR=1.38,95%CI:1.12–1.69),history of placenta previa(OR=2.44,95%CI:1.50–3.96),and the combination of prenatal hemorrhage(OR=9.95,95%CI:8.42–11.75)and placenta previa(OR=91.74,95%CI:74.11–113.56)were all independent risk factors for PA.Conclusion:There was an increased risk of adverse outcomes in pregnancies complicated by PA in women with a history of cesarean section,and this required close clinical attention.Weight before pregnancy,parity,number of miscarriages,number of previous cesarean sections,history of premature rupture of membranes,past transverse incisions in cesarean sections,a history of placenta previa,prenatal hemorrhage,and placenta previa were independent risk factors for pregnancies complicated with PA in women with a history of cesarean section.These independent risk factors showed a high value in predicting the risk for placentab accreta in pregnancies of women with a history of cesarean section.Yingyu Liang Lizi Zhang Shilei Bi Jingsi Chen Shanshan Zeng Lijun Huang Yulian Li Minshan Huang Hu Tan Jinping Jia Suiwen Wen Zhijian Wang Yinli Cao Shaoshuai Wang Xiaoyan Xu Ling Feng Xianlan Zhao Yangyu Zhao Qiying Zhu Hongbo Qi Lanzhen Zhang Hongtian Li Lili Du Dunjin Chen 2022Maternal-Fetal Medicine2022,4,3:1

15WGI-Net:A weighted group integration network for RGB-D salient object detection显示文摘Salient object detection is used as a preprocess in many computer vision tasks(such as salient object segmentation,video salient object detection,etc.).When performing salient object detection,depth information can provide clues to the location of target objects,so effective fusion of RGB and depth feature information is important.In this paper,we propose a new feature information aggregation approach,weighted group integration(WGI),to effectively integrate RGB and depth feature information.We use a dual-branch structure to slice the input RGB image and depth map separately and then merge the results separately by concatenation.As grouped features may lose global information about the target object,we also make use of the idea of residual learning,taking the features captured by the original fusion method as supplementary information to ensure both accuracy and completeness of the fused information.Experiments on five datasets show that our model performs better than typical existing approaches for four evaluation metrics.Yanliang Ge Cong Zhang Kang Wang Ziqi Liu Hongbo Bi 2021Computational Visual Media2021,7,1:0
