1Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in soils of Beijing and Tianjin region: Vertical distribution, correlation with TOC and transport mechanism显示文摘The contents and distribution of 20 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and heterocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (HAHs) were investigated in 16 soil profiles of Beijing and Tianjin region. Transport of high molecular weight PAHs (HMWPAHs) and the correlation between total organic carbon (TOC) and their concentrations were also discussed. The results indicated that highly contaminated sites were located at urban or wastewater irrigation areas and pollutants mainly accumulated in topsoil (< 40 cm), with a sharp content decrease at the vertical boundary of 30-40 cm. Total PAHs/HAHs concentrations in soils from Tianjin were markedly greater than those from Beijing. Even the contents at bottoms of soil profiles in Tianjin were higher than those in topsoils of Beijing soil profile. HMWPAHs dominated the PAH profiles, exhibiting a uniform distribution of pyrogenic origin between topsoils and deep layers. Furthermore, the percentages of HMWPAHs remained relative constant with the depth of soil profiles, which were consistent with the distribution of particulate matter-associated PAHs in the local atmospheric environments. 3Numerical simulation of quasi-static compression on a complex rubber foam显示文摘A complex rubber foam under quasi-static compression is simulated using the finite element method(FEM). The present work sets up the phenomenological constitutive model for the silicon rubber. The computerized tomography(CT) technique is utilized to reconstruct the real complex foam geometries. The quasi-static uniaxial compression on the foam is simulated in ABAQUS. The present work obtains the stress response as the nominal strain nearly reaches 80% and the foam exhibits hyper-elastic behavior. 4N and P resorption as functions of the needle age class in two conifer trees显示文摘Aims Given the importance of resorption in nutrient conservations,nu-trient resorption should change with leaf age if resorption depends on nutrient content,and if nutrient content changes with leaf age.However,no study has addressed this issue.Methods Here,we measured N and P concentrations of needles of different ages in two woody evergreen conifer species-white spruce(Picea glauca Voss.)and balsam fir(Abies balsamea Mill.)-to determine the effects of needle aging on nutrient resorption.Important Findings For both species,N and P concentrations were higher in newer needles than in older needles.Nutrient resorption efficiency,i.e.percentage of nutrients resorbed during senescence,also declined significantly with needle age from 73 to 22%in these two evergreen conifer species.The difference in nutrient resorp-tion between old and young needles may be attributed to the size of N and P sink tissues,which is likely to decrease with needle age.These results suggest that needle age affects the extent of N and P resorption in these two evergreen conifer species.Zhiyou Yuan Xinrong Shi Feng Jiao Fengpeng Han 2018Journal of Plant Ecology2018,11,5:3
5Gene expression microarray analysis of the spinal trigeminal nucleus in a rat model of migraine with aura显示文摘Cortical spreading depression can trigger migraine with aura and activate the trigeminal vascular system. To examine gene expression profiles in the spinal trigeminal nucleus in rats following cor-tical spreading depression-induced migraine with aura, a rat model was established by injection of 1 M potassium chloride, which induced cortical spreading depression. DNA microarray analysis re-vealed that, compared with the control group, the cortical spreading depression group showed seven upregulated genes-myosin heavy chain 1/2, myosin light chain 1, myosin light chain (phos-phorylatable, fast skeletal muscle), actin alpha 1, homeobox B8, carbonic anhydrase 3 and an un-known gene. Two genes were downregulated-RGD1563441 and an unknown gene. 6Theoretical method for calculating porosity and permeability under self-regulating effect显示文摘In order to study the effect of stress-sensitivity and matrix shrinkage on coalbed methane production,equivalent matrix particle model is proposed considering the process of adsorption and desorption.Calculating mathematical models for calculating porosity and permeability which considered matrix shrinkage by combining diameter model and desorption were established.The calculations of porosity and permeability under self-regulating effect were obtained by combining traditional stress-sensitivity equations.The changes of porosity and permeability in different reservoirs were calculated and analyzed through a variety of basic parameters.The results show that high coal rank reservoir has the biggest range ability of porosity and permeability under the same pressure difference conditions,followed by the middle rank and the low rank.The research observed the positive relationship between stress-sensitivity and declining period of porosity and permeability in low rank coal reservoir,and the inverse relationship between matrix shrinkage and declining period of porosity and permeability.The stronger the matrix shrinkage is,the earlier declining period and rise period will occur.Lai Fengpeng Li Zhiping Wang Yining Yao Jingjie 2013International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2013,23,5:2

17Changes in diversity,composition and assembly processes of soil microbial communities during Robinia pseudoacacia L.restoration on the Loess Plateau,China显示文摘Robinia pseudoacacia L.(RP)restoration has increased vegetation cover in semi-arid regions on the Loess Plateau of China,but ecological problems have also occurred due to RP restoration,such as reduced soil moisture.Further,it is still uncertain how microbial diversity,composition and assembly processes change with RP restoration in semi-arid regions.Therefore,amplicon sequencing of small subunit ribosomal ribonucleic acid(16S rRNA)and internal transcribed spacer(ITS)genes was performed to study soil bacterial and fungal diversity,composition and assembly processes at four study sites with different stand ages of RP plantations(Y10,RP plantation with stand ages less than 10 a;Y15,RP plantation with stand ages approximately 15 a;Y25,RP plantation with stand ages approximately 25 a;and Y40,RP plantation with stand ages approximately 40 a)along a 40-a chronosequence on the Loess Plateau.The diversity of soil bacteria and fungi increased significantly during the restoration period from 10 to 15 a(P<0.05).However,compared with Y15,bacterial diversity was lower at Y25 and Y40,and fungal diversity remained stable during the restoration period between 25 and 40 a.The relative abundances of Proteobacteria and Ascomycota increased during the restoration period from 10 to 15 a.Conversely,after 15 a of restoration,they both decreased,whereas the relative abundances of Actinomycetes,Acidobacteria and Basidiomycota gradually increased.The variations in soil bacterial communities were mainly related to changes in soil total nitrogen,nitrate nitrogen and moisture contents,while soil fungal communities were mainly shaped by soil organic carbon and nitrate nitrogen contents.Bacterial communities were structured by the heterogeneous selection and stochastic process,while fungal communities were structured primarily by the stochastic process.The RP restoration induced an increase in the relative importance of heterogeneous selection on bacterial communities.Overall,this study reveals the changes in microbial diversity,community composition and assembly processes with RP restoration on the Loess Plateau and provides a new perspective on the effects of vegetation restoration on soil microbial communities in semi-arid regions.WANG Kun WANG Xiaoxia FEI Hongyan WAN Chuanyu HAN Fengpeng 2022Journal of Arid Land2022,14,5:0
18ECOLOGICAL OBSERVATIONS ON COLOURED LAYER OF COASTAL FAST ICE IN GREAT WALL BAY, KING GEORGE ISLAND, ANTARCTICA显示文摘Marine biological and environmenlal investigations were carried out on the coastatl waters off Great Wall Station (62°13′s, 58°58′W) on King George Island, Antarctica, from November 17, 1988, to March 3, 1989. Coastal fast ice covered inner part of Great Wall Bay until mid-December 1988, which allowed us to take ice core sampling and observations from mid-November to early December 1988. During this period, ice thickness ranged from 90 to 70cm with baout 20cm of snow cover. About 5cm brown layer occured in the middle part of fast ice core collected on November 20, 1988 at site 2, and two brown layers occured in the interior of ice core collected on November 17,20 and 26, 1988 at site 5. 19Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND 202-aminoethoxydiphenyl borate or lanthanum potentiates transient receptor potential-like channels in rat CA1 hippocampal neurons显示文摘Expression of transient receptor potential (TRP) channels is widespread with transcripts distributed throughout the brain.All TRP channel subunits are activated following phospholipase C activation and form cation-selective ion channels.Previous studies examining the existence of TRP channels in hippocampal CA1 pyramidal neurons were based on cultured neurons.Therefore,their relevance for living tissue remains unclear.In the present study,patch-clamp recordings were conducted from CA1 pyramidal neurons in hippocampal slices from 7-day-old rats.Whole-cell currents were obtained from CA1 hippocampal neurons with potentiation effects of 2-aminoethoxydiphenyl borate and lanthanum,revealing that recorded experimental currents were characteristic TRP-like channel currents.Identification of rat hippocampal mRNA transcripts of TRPC4,TRPC5,TRPV1,TRPV2,and TRPV3 channels further verified the expression of characteristic TRP-like channels on rat CA1 hippocampal neurons.Fengpeng Sun Tian-ming Gao 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,18:0
