Contrasting trends of PM2.5 and surface-ozone concentrations in China from 2013 to 2017显示文摘Although much attention has been paid to investigating and controlling air pollution in China, the trends of air-pollutant concentrations on a national scale have remained unclear. Here,we quantitatively investigated the variation of air pollutants in China using long-term comprehensive data sets from 2013 to 2017,during which Chinese government made major efforts to reduce anthropogenic emission in polluted regions. Our results show a significant decreasing trend in the PM2.5 concentration in heavily polluted regions of eastern China, with an annual decrease of〜7%compared with measurements in 2013.The measured decreased concentrations of SO2>NO2 and CO(a proxy for anthropogenic volatile organic compounds)could explain a large fraction of the decreased PM2.5 concentrations in different regions. As a consequence;the heavily polluted days decreased significantly in corresponding regions.Concentrations of organic aerosol;nitrate;sulfate, ammonium and chloride measured in urban Beijing revealed a remarkable reduction from 2013 to 2017;connecting the decreases in aerosol precursors with corresponding chemical components closely.However;surface-ozone concentrations showed increasing trends in most urban stations from 2013 to 2017;which indicates stronger photochemical pollution. The boundary-layer height in capital c让ies of eastern China showed no significant trends over the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions from 2013 to 2017;which confirmed the reduction in anthropogenic emissions. Our results demonstrated that the Chinese government was successful in the reduction of particulate matter in urban areas from 2013 to 2017,although the ozone concentration has increased significantly;suggesting a more complex mechanism of improving Chinese air quality in the future. | Yonghong Wang Wenkang Gao Shuai Wang Tao Song Zhengyu Gong Dongsheng Ji Lili Wang Zirui Liu Guiqian Tang Yanfeng Huo Shili Tian Jiayun Li Mingge Li Yuan Yang Biwu Chu Tuukka Petaja Veli-Matti Kerminen Hong He Jiming Hao Markku Kulmala Yuesi Wang Yuanhang Zhang | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,8: | 51
Admission clinical characteristics and early clinical outcomes among acute ischemic stroke patients显示文摘The purpose of the present study was to investigate the association between admission clinical characteristics and outcomes at discharge among acute ischemic stroke patients in the Chinese population.A total of 2,673 patients with acute ischemic stroke were included in the present study. The clinical characteristics at admission and other study variables were collected for all patients. The study outcome was defined as neurological deficiency(National Institute of Health Stroke Scale score ≥ 10) at discharge or in-hospital death.Compared with the subjects without neurological deficiency at discharge or in-hospital death, the subjects with neurological deficiency at discharge or in-hospital death had a significantly higher prevalence of hyperglycemia or history of atrial fibrillation at admission.Age≥ 80 years, hyperglycemia, hypertension, and history of atrial fibrillation were significantly associated with neurological deficiency at discharge or in-hospital death after adjustment for other variables. It is concluded that old age(≥ 80 years),hyperglycemia, hypertension and history of atrial fibrillation are significantly associated with neurological deficiency at discharge or in-hospital death among patients with acute ischemic stroke. | Xin Gao Jintao Zhang Ying Peng Huanqing Fan Mei Chen Tan Xu Yonghong Zhang | 2012 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2012,26,3: | 13
Humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants elicited by inactivated and RBD-subunit vaccines显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 variants could induce immune escape by mutations on the receptor-binding domain(RBD)and N-terminal domain(NTD).Here we report the humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants, such as 501Y.V2(B.1.351),of the plasma and neutralizing antibodies(NAbs)elicited by CoronaVac(inactivated vaccine),ZF2001(RBD-subunit vaccine)and natural infection.Among 86 potent NAbs identified by high-throughput single-cell VDJ sequencing of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from vaccinees and convalescents, near half anti-RBD NAbs showed major neutralization reductions against the K417N/E484K/N501Y mutation combination, with E484K being the dominant cause.VH3-53/VH3-66 recurrent antibodies respond differently to RBD variants, and K417N compromises the majority of neutralizing activity through reduced polar contacts with complementarity determining regions. In contrast, the 242–244 deletion(242–244Δ)would abolish most neutralization activity of anti-NTD NAbs by interrupting the conformation of NTD antigenic supersite, indicating a much less diversity of anti-NTD NAbs than anti-RBD NAbs.Plasma of convalescents and CoronaVac vaccinees displayed comparable neutralization reductions against pseudo-and authentic 501Y.V2 variants, mainly caused by E484K/N501Y and 242–244Δ,with the effects being additive.Importantly,RBD-subunit vaccinees exhibit markedly higher tolerance to 501Y.V2 than convalescents, since the elicited anti-RBD NAbs display a high diversity and are unaffected by NTD mutations. Moreover,an extended gap between the third and second doses of ZF2001 leads to better neutralizing activity and tolerance to 501Y.V2 than the standard three-dose administration.Together, these results suggest that the deployment of RBD-vaccines,through a third-dose boost, may be ideal for combating SARS-CoV-2 variants when necessary, especially for those carrying mutations that disrupt the NTD supersite. | Yunlong Cao Ayijiang Yisimayi Yali Bai Weijin Huang Xiaofeng Li Zhiying Zhang Tianjiao Yuan Ran An Jing Wang Tianhe Xiao Shuo Du Wenping Ma Liyang Song Yongzheng Li Xiang Li Weiliang Song Jiajing Wu Shuo Liu Xuemei Li Yonghong Zhang Bin Su Xianghua Guo Yangyang Wei Chuanping Gao Nana Zhang Yifei Zhang Yang Dou Xiaoyu Xu Rui Shi Bai Lu Ronghua Jin Yingmin Ma Chengfeng Qin Youchun Wang Yingmei Feng Junyu Xiao Xiaoliang Sunney Xie | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,7: | 12
Molecular basis underlying rice tiller angle:Current progress and future perspectives显示文摘Crop plant architecture is an important agronomic trait that contributes greatly to crop yield.Tiller angle is one of the most critical components that determine crop plant architecture, which in turn substantially af-fects grain yield mainly owing to its large influence on plant density.Gravity is a fundamental physical force that acts on all organisms on earth.Plant organs sense gravity to control their growth orientation, including tiller angle in rice(Oryza sativa). This review summarizes recent research advances made using rice tiller angle as a research model, providing insights into domestication of rice tiller angle, genetic regulation of rice tiller angle, and shoot gravitropism. Finally,we propose that current discoveries in rice can shed light on shoot gravitropism and improvement of plant tiller/branch angle in other species, thereby contributing to agricultural production in the future. | Wenguang Wang Hengbin Gao Yan Liang Jiayang Li Yonghong Wang | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,1: | 5
Effect of Yiqiyangyin recipe on heparanase and nephrin in rats with adriamycin-induced nephropathy显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To discuss the mechanism of Yiqiyangyin recipe in rats with adriamycin (ADR)-induced nephropathy. METHODS: We randomly divided 30 Sprague-Dawley rats into 5 groups: control, model, glucocorticoid, Chinese herb, and Chinese herb plus glucocorticoid groups. The 24-h urine volume was collected on days 7, 14, 21, and 28 after ADR injection, and all rats were killed on day 28. We measured the 24-h levels of urinary protein, serum cholesterol, and serum triglycerides, and renal function of all rats by using routine biochemical methods. Pathological changes in the rat kidneys were observed under light and electron microscopes. Heparanase (HPA) mRNA expression levels were measured using re-al-time fluorescence-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Urine levels of HPA in all groups were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The expression of nephrin was detected by immunohistochemical staining and quantitatively analyzed using Motic image analysis 3.2 software. RESULTS: The levels of urinary protein and serum triglycerides and cholesterol in rats with ADR-induced nephropathy increased on day 14. The serum albumin levels simultaneously decreased. All the changes reached the peak on day 28. Examination under the light microscope showed inflammatory cells and slight fibroplasia in the renal interstitium in the model group, but fewer inflammatory cells were observed in the intervention groups than those in the model group. Examination under the electron microscope showed extensive fusion of foot processes in ADR rats. HPA mRNA expression was higher in the model group than that in the control group. The HPA mRNA levels in the intervention groups, especially in the Chinese herb group, and Chinese herb plus glucocorticoid group were significantly lower than the level in the model group. The HPA expression levels correlated significantly with the proteinuria level. No significant difference was found in the HPA level in urine between the intervention groups and the model group, whereas the model group had a higher urinary HPA level than the control group. Nephrin mRNA expression levels in the model group were higher than those in the control group. Nephrin mRNA expression levels were significantly lower in the intervention groups than that in the model group, especially the Chinese herb plus glucocorticoid group. Compared with the control group, themodel group showed increased nephrin expression in the kidney. Nephrin levels in the other groups, especially in the Chinese herb plus glucocorticoid group, were significantly lower than that in the model group. The nephrin levels in the kidney were negatively correlated with the proteinuria level. CONCLUSION: Yiqiyangyin recipe could attenuate foot process injury particularly in combination with a steroid reduce the development of proteinuria possibly by inhibition of HPA in the kidney, and regulate the expression of nephrin in rats with ADR-induced nephropathy. Our study showed that treatment with Yiqiyangyin recipe plus glucocorticoid was better than a singular intervention, and we explored the pharmacological mechanism of this combination by biochemical and molecular biological analysis to provide a basis for clinical application. | Wen Sun Yongrui He Jian Yu Yanyan Lin Yonghong Wang Xia Gao Ying Wang Zhonghua Zhao Xueguang Liu | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,3: | 4
On the Carboniferous Sequence Stratigraphy in the Tazhong Area, Xinjiang——A Model of the Sequence Stratigraphy Framework of Intracratonic Depressional Basins显示文摘The Carboniferous prototype sedimentary basin in the Tazhong (Central Tarimbasin) area is recognized as a compressive intracratonic depressional one. Three type Ⅰ sequenceboundaries and three type Ⅱ sequence boundaries can be identified in the CarboniferousSystem, which can accordingly be divided into five sedimentary sequences. These sequencespossess stratigraphic characters of the standard sequence and correspond to the depositionalstratigraphic unit of a third-order eustatic cycle. They can be regionally or globally correlatedwith each other. The framework of sequence stratigraphy of the intracratonict basin in thestudy area distinctly differs from that of the passive continental-margin basin in the lack ofdepositional systems of early-middle lowstand, poor development of the deeply incised valleyand condensed section of the maximum sea-flood, good development of type Ⅱ sequenceboundaries and coastal plain depositional systems coexisting with shelf-type fan deltas underwet climatic conditions, Which consequently led to the formation of a paralic lithofacies frame-work. | Guo Jianhua Zeng Yunfu Zhai Yonghong and Gao Zhenzhong Jianghan Petroleum Institute, Jingsha, Hubei Chengdu Institute of Technology, Chengdu, Sichuan Jianghan Petroleum Institute, Jingsha, Hubei Liu Xinzhu | 1997 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)1997,71,3: | 4
Enhancing rice grain production by manipulating the naturally evolved cis-regulatory element-containing inverted repeat sequence of OsREM20显示文摘Grain number per panicle(GNP)is an important agronomic trait that contributes to rice grain yield.Despite its importance in rice breeding, the molecular mechanism underlying GNP regulation remains largely unknown. In this study,we identified a previously unrecognized regulatory gene that controls GNP in rice,Oryza sativa REPRODUCTIVE MERISTEM 20(OsREM20),which encodes a B3 domain transcription factor.Through genetic analysis and transgenic validation we found that genetic variation in the CArG box-containing inverted repeat(IR)sequence of the OsREM20 promoter alters its expression level and contributes to GNP variation among rice varieties.Furthermore,we revealed that the IR sequence regulates OsREM20 expression by affecting the direct binding of OsMADS34 to the CArG box within the IR sequence.Interestingly, the divergent pOsREM20IR and pOsREM20ΔIR alleles were found to originate from different Oryza rufipogon accessions, and were independently inherited into the japonica and indica subspecies, respectively, during domestication.Importantly,we demonstrated that IR sequence variations in the OsREM20 promoter can be utilized for germplasm improvement through either genome editing or traditional breeding.Taken together, our study characterizes novel genetic variations responsible for GNP diversity in rice, reveals the underlying molecular mechanism in the regulation of agronomically important gene expression, and provides a promising strategy for improving rice production by manipulating the cis-regulatory element-containing IR sequence. | Xiaowei Wu Yan Liang Hengbin Gao Jiyao Wang Yan Zhao Lekai Hua Yundong Yuan Ahong Wang Xiaohui Zhang Jiafan Liu Jie Zhou Xiangbing Meng Dahan Zhang Shaoyang Lin Xuehui Huang Bin Han Jiayang Li Yonghong Wang | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,6: | 3
Large-scale Multi-modal Pre-trained Models: A Comprehensive Survey显示文摘With the urgent demand for generalized deep models, many pre-trained big models are proposed, such as bidirectional encoder representations(BERT),vision transformer(ViT),generative pre-trained transformers(GPT),etc.Inspired by the success of these models in single domains(like computer vision and natural language processing),the multi-modal pre-trained big models have also drawn more and more attention in recent years. In this work,we give a comprehensive survey of these models and hope this paper could provide new insights and helps fresh researchers to track the most cutting-edge works.Specifically,we firstly introduce the background of multi-modal pre-training by reviewing the conventional deep learning,pre-training works in natural language process, computer vision, and speech. Then,we introduce the task definition, key challenges, and advantages of multi-modal pre-training models(MM-PTMs),and discuss the MM-PTMs with a focus on data, objectives, network architectures, and knowledge enhanced pre-training.After that,we introduce the downstream tasks used for the validation of large-scale MM-PTMs,including generative, classification, and regression tasks. We also give visualization and analysis of the model parameters and results on representative downstream tasks. Finally,we point out possible research directions for this topic that may benefit future works. In addition,we maintain a continuously updated paper list for large-scale pre-trained multi-modal big models:http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asp9ubv0xqqp0o60uk.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/wangxiao5791509/MultiModal_BigModels_Survey. | Xiao Wang Guangyao Chen Guangwu Qian Pengcheng Gao Xiao-Yong Wei Yaowei Wang Yonghong Tian Wen Gao | 2023 | Machine Intelligence Research2023,20,4: | 3

Identification and characterization of Mini1, a gene regulating rice shoot development显示文摘The aerial parts of higher plants are generated from the shoot apical meristem(SAM). In this study, we isolated a small rice(Oryza sativa L.) mutant that showed premature termination of shoot development and was named mini rice 1(mini1). The mutant was first isolated from a japonica cultivar Zhonghua11(ZH11) subjected to ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS)treatment. With bulked segregant analysis(BSA) and map-based cloning method, Mini1 gene was finally fine-mapped to an interval of 48.6 kb on chromosome 9. Sequence analyses revealed a single base substitution from G to A was found in the region, which resulted in an amino acid change from Gly to Asp.The candidate gene Os09g0363900 was predicted to encode a putative adhesion of calyx edges protein ACE(putative HOTHEAD precursor) and genetic complementation experiment confirmed the identity of Mini1. Os09g0363900 contains glucose-methanol-choline(GMC) oxidoreductase and NAD(P)-binding Rossmann-like domain, and exhibits high similarity to Arabidopsis HOTHEAD(HTH). Expression analysis indicated Mini1 was highly expressed in young shoots but lowly in roots and the expression level of most genes involved in auxin biosynthesis and signal transduction were reduced in mutant. We conclude that Mini1 plays an important role in maintaining SAM activity and promoting shoot development in rice. | Yunxia Fang Jiang Hu Jie Xu Haiping Yu Zhenyuan Shi Guosheng Xiong Li Zhu Dali Zeng Guangheng Zhang Zhenyu Gao Guojun Dong Meixian Yan Longbiao Guo Yonghong Wang Qian Qian | 2015 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2015,57,2: | 3
Effects of Yishendaluo decoction on blood-brain barrier integrity in mice with experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis显示文摘This study investigated the effects of Yishendaluo decoction on the loss of blood-brain barrier integrity in mice exhibiting experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis. To this end,we used real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR to measure the levels of mRNAs specific to the T cell markers CD4 and CD8,and the monocyte marker CD11b.In addition,we used Evans blue dye extravasation in the spinal cord and brain tissues to assess blood-brain barrier permeability. The results indicated that an increase in blood-brain barrier permeability was associated with an increase in CD4,CD8 and CD11b mRNA expression in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis mice.Yishendaluo decoction administration significantly reversed inflammatory cell accumulation in cerebral tissues of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis mice. | Yanqing Wu Ying Gao Lingqun Zhu Yonghong Gao Dongmei Zhang Lixia Lou Yanfang Yan | 2011 | Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,15: | 2
Evaluation of Preamble Based Channel Estimation for MIMO-FBMC Systems显示文摘Filter-bank multicarrier(FBMC) with offset quadrature amplitude modulation(OQAM) is a candidate waveform for future wireless communications due to its advantages over orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) systems. However, because of orthogonality in real field and the presence of imaginary intrinsic interference, channel estimation in FBMC is not as straightforward as OFDM systems especially in multiple antenna scenarios. In this paper, we propose a channel estimation method which employs intrinsic interference cancellation at the transmitter side. The simulation results show that this method has less pilot overhead, less peak to average power ratio(PAPR), better bit error rate(BER), and better mean square error(MSE) performance compared to the well-known intrinsic approximation methods(IAM). | Sohail Taheri Mir Ghoraishi XIAO Pei CAO Aijun GAO Yonghong | 2016 | ZTE Communications2016,14,4: | 2

Diversity of cultivable endophytic bacteria associated with halophytes in Xinjiang of China and their plant beneficial traits显示文摘Endophytic bacteria from halophytes have a wide range of application prospects in various fields, such as plant growth-promoting,biocontrol activity and stress resistance. The current study aimed to identify cultivable endophytic bacteria associated with halophytes grown in the salt-affected soil in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,China and to evaluate their plant beneficial traits and enzyme-producing activity.Endophytic bacteria were isolated from Reaumuria soongorica(PalL Maxim.),Artemisia carvifolia(Buch.-Ham.ex Roxb.Hort.Beng.),Peganum harmala L.and Suaeda dendroides(C.A.Mey.Moq.)by using the cultural-dependent method. Then we classified these bacteria based on the difference between their sequences of 16S rRNA(16S ribosomal RNA)gene. Results showed that the isolated bacteria from R.soongorica belonged to the genera Brucella,Bacillus and Variovorax. The bacteria from A.carvifolia belonged to the genera Micromonospora and Brucella. The bacteria from P.harmala belonged to the genera Paramesorhizobium,Bacillus and Peribacillus. The bacteria from S.dendroides belonged to the genus Bacillus.Notably, the genus Bacillus was detected in the three above plants, indicating that Bacillus is a common taxon of endophytic bacteria in halophytes. And,our results found that about 37.50%of the tested strains showed strong protease-producing activity,6.25%of the tested strains showed strong cellulase-producing activity and 12.50%of the tested strains showed moderate lipase-producing activity.Besides, all isolated strains were positive for IAA(3-Indoleacetic acid)production,31.25%of isolated strains exhibited a moderate phosphate solubilization activity and 50.00%of isolated strains exhibited a weak siderophore production activity. Our findings suggest that halophytes are valuable resources for identifying microbes with the ability to increase host plant growth and health in salt-affected soils. | LI Li GAO Lei LIU Yonghong FANG Baozhu HUANG Yin Osama A A MOHAMAD Dilfuza EGAMBERDIEVA LI Wenjun MA Jinbiao | 2021 | Journal of Arid Land2021,13,8: | 1
Theory-driven designed TiO_(2)@MoO_(2)heterojunction:Balanced crystallinity and nanostructure toward desirable kinetics and highrate sodium-ion storage显示文摘Sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)are promising candidates for large-scale energy storage due to their cost effectiveness and the unlimited availability of sodium. However, there remains a need for the rational design of better anodic materials than are currently available,as these materials are critical for the sodium-ion storage process. In this work, theoretical calculations were performed to design a conceptually novel TiO_(2)@MoO_(2)heterojunction(TMH)anode that was expected to exhibit better electrochemical performance than current anodes. The TMH anode was fabricated via a facile and cost-effective method, and the results of in-depth sodium-ion-storage performance and reaction kinetics analyses indicate that it exhibited an excellent rate capability and enhanced pseudocapacitive response, due to its high crystallinity. This electrochemical performance was superior to that of previously reported anodic materials, confirming the accuracy of the theoretical calculations.Destruction of TMH’s nanostructure at high temperatures resulted in a decrease in its electrochemical performance, indicating the key role played by the nanostructure in TMH’s ability to store sodium ions. This study demonstrates that integration of theoretical predictions with experimental investigations offers insights into how materials’crystallinity and nanostructure affect their pseudocapacitive sodiumion storage capabilities, which will help to guide the rational design of effective anodic materials for SIBs. | Junyi Yin Pengqi Hai Yuan Gao Zihan Gan Chao Wu Yonghong Cheng Xin Xu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 1
