3Investigation into the Formation, Structure, and Evolution of an EF4 Tornado in East China Using a High-Resolution Numerical Simulation显示文摘Devastating tornadoes in China have received growing attention in recent years, but little is known about their formation, structure, and evolution on the tornadic scale. Most of these tornadoes develop within the East Asian monsoon regime, in an environment quite different from tornadoes in the U.S. In this study, we used an idealized, highresolution(25-m grid spacing) numerical simulation to investigate the deadly EF4(Enhanced Fujita scale category 4)tornado that occurred on 23 June 2016 and claimed 99 lives in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. A tornadic supercell developed in the simulation that had striking similarities to radar observations. The violent tornado in Funing County was reproduced, exceeding EF4(74 ms–1), consistent with the on-site damage survey. It was accompanied by a funnel cloud that extended to the surface, and exhibited a double-helix vorticity structure. The signal of tornado genesis was found first at the cloud base in the pressure perturbation field, and then developed both upward and downward in terms of maximum vertical velocity overlapping with the intense vertical vorticity centers. The tornado's demise was found to accompany strong downdrafts overlapping with the intense vorticity centers. One of the interesting findings of this work is that a violent surface vortex was able to be generated and maintained, even though the simulation employed a free-slip lower boundary condition. 4On the Kinematic Characteristics and Dynamic Process of Boundary faults of the Nansha Ultra-crust Layer-Block显示文摘The Nansha ultra-crust layer-block is confined by ultra-crustal boundary faults of distinctive features, bordering the Kangtai-Shuangzi-Xiongnan extensional faulted zone on the north, the Baxian-Baram-Yoca-Cuyo nappe faulted zone on the south, the Wan’an-Natuna strike-slip tensional faulted zone on the west and the Mondoro-Panay strike-slip compressive faulted zone on the east. These faults take the top of the Nansha asthenosphere as their common detachmental surface. 5MiR156 regulates anthocyanin biosynthesis through SPL targets and other microRNAs in poplar显示文摘Anthocyanins biosynthesized from the flavonoid pathway are types of pigments that are involved in the protection of poplar from biotic and abiotic stresses.Previous researchers studying anthocyanin-related transcription factors and structural genes in poplar have made significant discoveries.However,little is known about the regulatory role of microRNAs in anthocyanin biosynthesis in poplar.Here,we overexpressed miR156 in poplar to study the comprehensive effects of the miR156-SPL module on the biosynthesis of anthocyanins.Small RNA sequencing analysis revealed 228 microRNAs differentially expressed in transgenic poplar plants with dramatically increased miR156 levels.Furthermore,integrated microRNAomic and transcriptomic analysis suggested that two microRNAs,miR160h,and miR858,have the potential to affect anthocyanin accumulation in poplar by regulating auxin response factors and MYB transcription factors,respectively.Additionally,the accumulation of miR160h and miR858 displayed a positive correlation with miR156 levels,suggesting a possible interaction between the miR156-SPL module and these microRNAs in poplar.Last,metabolomics analysis revealed that the levels of anthocyanins,flavones,and flavonols were substantially elevated in transgenic poplar plants overexpressing miR156 compared with the wild type,whereas the total lignin content was reduced in the transgenic plants.Taken together,our results indicate that miR156 can fine tune the anthocyanin biosynthetic pathway via multiple factors,including microRNAs,transcription factors,and the levels of structural genes,in poplar.This provides additional clues for understanding the complex regulatory network of anthocyanin biosynthesis in woody plants.Yamei Wang Wenwen Liu Xinwei Wang Ruijuan Yang Zhenying Wu HanWang LeiWang Zhubing Hu Siyi Guo Hailing Zhang Jinxing Lin Chunxiang Fu 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:9
6Bacillus cereus AR156 primes induced systemic resistance by suppressing miR825/825 and activating defense-related genes in Arabidopsis显示文摘Small RNAs play an important role in plant immune responses. However, their regulatory function in induced systemic resistance(ISR) is nascent. Bacillus cereus AR156 is a plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium that induces ISR in Arabidopsis against bacterial infection. Here,by comparing small RNA profiles of Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato(Pst) DC3000-infected Arabidopsis with and without AR156 pretreatment, we identified a group of Arabidopsis micro RNAs(mi RNAs) that are differentially regulated by AR156 pretreatment. mi R825 and mi R825 are two mi RNA generated from a single mi RNA gene.Northern blot analysis indicated that they were significantly downregulated in Pst DC3000-infected plants pretreated with AR156, in contrast to the plants without AR156 pretreatment. mi R825 targets two ubiquitin-protein ligases,while mi R825 targets toll-interleukin-like receptor(TIR)-nucleotide binding site(NBS) and leucine-rich repeat(LRR)type resistance(R) genes. The expression of these target genes negatively correlated with the expression of mi R825 and mi R825. Moreover, transgenic plants showing reduced expression of mi R825 and mi R825 displayed enhanced resistance to Pst DC3000 infection, whereas transgenic plants overexpressing mi R825 and mi R825 were more susceptible. 7Atomically thin defect-rich Ni-Se-S hybrid nanosheets as hydrogen evolution reaction electrocatalysts显示文摘Facile design of economic-effective hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalysts with non-noble materials are promising for the production of renewable chemical fuels.Two-dimensional(2D)ultrathin transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)materials with large specific surface area and abundant catalytic active sites can significantly enhance their catalytic activities.Herein,we design and synthesize an atomically thin Ni-Se-S based hybrid nanosheet(NiSe1.2S0.8)via a simple solvothermal method,the thickness of NiSe1.2S0.8 nanosheets is only about 1.1 nm.Benefiting from the ultrathin nanostructure and rich defects,the optimal NiSe1.2S0.8 exhibits good electrocatalytic activity with the overpotential of 144 mV at−10 mA·cm−2,a small Tafel slope of 59 mV·dec−1,and outstanding catalytic stability in acid electrolyte for HER.The theoretical results show that hybrid electrocatalyst by S incorporation possesses the optimal adsorption free energy of hydrogen(ΔGH*).This study provides a simple method to synthesize a highperformance multicomponent electrocatalysts with the ultrathin nanostructures and abundant defects.Jianpeng Sun Xiangting Hu Zhaodi Huang Tianxiang Huang Xiaokang Wang Hailing Guo Fangna Dai Daofeng Sun 2020Nano Research2020,13,8:5
8Highly active Pd containing EMT zeolite catalyst for indirect oxidative carbonylation of methanol to dimethyl carbonate显示文摘Palladium containing EMT zeolite catalyst(Pd/EMT) was prepared and used for the indirect oxidative carbonylation of methanol to dimethyl carbonate(DMC).The EMT zeolite was employed as a new catalyst support and compared with the conventional Pd containing FAU zeolite catalyst(Pd/FAU).The Pd/EMT in contrast to the Pd/FAU catalyst exhibited high intrinsic activity with the turnover frequency of 0.25 s^(-1) vs.0.11 s^(-1).The Pd/EMT catalyst showed high CO conversion of 82% and DMC selectivity of 79%,that maintained for at least 130 h,while the activity of the Pd/FAU catalyst rapidly deteriorated within 12 h.The enhanced interactions between Pd and EMT zeolite inhibited the sintering of palladium clusters and maintained the Pd2+ active sites in the Pd/EMT catalyst.The stabilization of the mono-dispersed Pd clusters within the EMT zeolite is paramount to the excellent performance of the catalyst for the indirect oxidative carbonylation of methanol to DMC.Chunzheng Wang Weisong Xu Zhengxing Qin Hailing Guo Xinmei Liu Svetlana Mintova 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,1:3
9Mycorrhizas Affect Polyphyllin Accumulation of Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis through Promoting PpSE Expression显示文摘Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis is a traditional Chinese medicinal plant,in which polyphyllin as the main medicinal component is an important secondary metabolite with bioactivity.Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)have multiple positive effects on plants,while it is not clear whether AMF increase the content of medicinal components in medicinal plants.In this study,a total of nine AMF treatments were laid to analyze the mycorrhizal effect on polyphyllin accumulation and PpHMGR and PpSE expression of P.polyphylla var.yunnanensis.AMF increased the content of polyphyllin in the cultivated variety with low relation to the increase of inoculation intensity.Polyphyllin I,II,and VII were identified and partly improved by AMF inoculation,dependent on AMF treatments and culture environments.Similarly,the PpHMGR and PpSE expression was induced by mycorrhization,dependent on AMF species,whilst the induction was more obvious in PpSE than in PpHMGR after mycorrhization.It concluded that the symbiotic relationship between P.polyphylla var.yunnanensis and AMF increased polyphyllin content level in the plant,which was associated with the up-regulation of PpSE transcripts.Hailing Li Lingfeng Xu Zhuowei Li Shunxin Zhao Dongqin Guo Lu Rui Nong Zhou 2021Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2021,90,5:2

Complex 1 is a 2-dimensional(2 D) 3,4-connected network with 3,4 L13 topology, complex 2 features a 3-dimensional(3D) 3,4-connected tfa topology with a 2-fold interpenetrating structure and complex 3 has a 3D 4-connected dia topology with a 4-fold interpenetrating structure. Interestingly, 2 exhibits permanent pores and selective adsorption of CO_2 over CH_4. 13A high-quality chromosome-scale assembly of the centipedegrass[Eremochloa ophiuroides(Munro)Hack.]genome provides in sights into chromosomal structural evolution and prostrate growth habit显示文摘Centipedegrass[Eremochloa ophiuroides(Munro)Hack.],a member of the Panicoideae subfamily,is one of the most important warm-season turfgrasses originating from China.This grass has an extremely developed prostrate growth habit and has been widely used in transitional and warm climatic regions.To better understand the genetic basis of important biological characteristics,such as prostrate growth and seed yield,in warm-season turfgrasses,we present a high-quality reference genome for centipedegrass and use PacBio,BioNano,and Hi-C technologies to anchor the 867.43 Mb genome assembly into nine pseudochromosomes,with a scaffold N50 of 86.05 Mb and 36,572 annotated genes.Centipedegrass was most closely related to sorghum and diverged from their common ancestor~16.8 Mya.We detected a novel chromosome reshuf fling event in centipedegrass,namely,the nest chromosome fusion event in which fusion of chromosomes 8 and 10 of sorghum into chromosome 3 of centipedegrass likely occurred after the divergence of centipedegrass from sorghum.The typical prostrate growth trait in centipedegrass may be linked to the expansion of candidate PROSTRATE GROWTH 1(PROG1)genes on chromosome 2.Two orthologous genes of OsPROGl,EoPROGl,and EoPROG2,were con firmed to increase the stem number and decrease the stem angle in Arabidopsis.Collectively,our assembled reference genome of centipedegrass offers new knowledge and resources to dissect the genome evolution of Panicoideae and accelerate genome-assisted breeding and improvement of plant architecture in turf plants.Jingjing Wang Hailing Zi Rui Wang Jianxiu Liu Haoran Wang Rongrong Chen Ling Li Hailin Guo Jingbo Chen Jianjian Li Junqin Zong 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:1

20Efficient Processing of Skyline Group Queries over a Data Stream显示文摘In this paper, we study the skyline group problem over a data stream. An object can dominate another object if it is not worse than the other object on all attributes and is better than the other object on at least one attribute. If an object cannot be dominated by any other object, it is a skyline object. The skyline group problem involves finding k-item groups that cannot be dominated by any other k-item group. Existing algorithms designed to find skyline groups can only process static data. However, data changes as a stream with time in many applications,and algorithms should be designed to support skyline group queries on dynamic data. In this paper, we propose new algorithms to find skyline groups over a data stream. We use data structures, namely a hash table, dominance graph, and matrix, to store dominance information and update results incrementally. We conduct experiments on synthetic datasets to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithms.
