| 1 | Novel Strategy for Synthesis of High Quality CdTe Nanocrystals in Aqueous Solution显示文摘A novel aqueous route for the synthesis of high-quality CdTe nanocrystals(NCs) is presented in this article. With both glutathione(GSH) and cysteine[n(GSH):n(cysteine)=1:3] as stabilizers, high-quality CdTe NCs with controllable photoluminescence(PL) wavelength from 500 to 630 nm can be prepared within 4 h. As-prepared CdTe NCs show higher photoluminescence quantum yields(PLQY) compared with CdTe NCs prepared via other aqueous methods. | 5 | Pediatric reference intervals in China(PRINCE):design and rationale for a large,multicenter collaborative cross-sectional study显示文摘There is a lack of accurate pediatric reference intervals(RIs) in China, with most commonly used RIs established without consideration of the effect of age and gender. The Pediatric Reference Intervals in China(PRINCE) project aims to establish and verify pediatric RIs for 31 common laboratory measurands.The project will be a large, multicenter cross-sectional study:14,490 healthy children and adolescents aged up to 19 years will be surveyed by 10 children's hospitals and one pediatric department of a university hospital. To evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of the study methods, 602 children were surveyed in the pilot phase of the PRINCE study in April 2017: it found that some measurands were distinctly age dependent and that there were differences between values for males and females. The results of the pilot study affirmed the necessity of the PRINCE project for Chinese pediatrics. The pilot also indicated potential difficulties in the full survey, e.g., difficulties in recruiting children aged under 3 years and insufficient collection of blood samples from infants. | 6 | Development and validation of a prediction model for microvascular invasion in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘BACKGROUND Microvascular invasion(MVI)is an important prognostic factor affecting early recurrence and overall survival in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)patients after hepatectomy and liver transplantation,but it can be determined only in surgical specimens.Accurate preoperative prediction of MVI is conducive to clinical decisions.AIM To develop and validate a preoperative prediction model for MVI in patients with HCC.METHODS Data from 454 patients with HCC who underwent hepatectomy at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University between May 2016 and October 2019 were retrospectively collected.Then,the patients were nonrandomly split into a training cohort and a validation cohort.Logistic regression analysis was used to identify variables significantly associated with MVI that were then included in the nomogram.We evaluated the discrimination and calibration ability of the nomogram by using R software.RESULTS MVI was confirmed in 209(46.0%)patients by a pathological examination.Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified four risk factors independently associated with MVI:Tumor size[odds ratio(OR)=1.195;95%confidence interval(CI):1.107–1.290;P<0.001],number of tumors(OR=4.441;95%CI:2.112–9.341;P<0.001),neutrophils(OR=1.714;95%CI:1.036–2.836;P=0.036),and serumα-fetoprotein(20–400 ng/mL,OR=1.955;95%CI:1.055–3.624;P=0.033;>400 ng/mL,OR=3.476;95%CI:1.950–6.195;P<0.001).The concordance index was 0.79(95%CI:0.74–0.84)and 0.81(95%CI:0.74–0.89)in the training and validation cohorts,respectively.The calibration curves showed good agreement between the predicted risk by the nomogram and real outcomes.CONCLUSION We have developed and validated a preoperative prediction model for MVI in patients with HCC.The model could aid physicians in clinical treatment decision making. | Lin Wang Yue-Xinzi Jin Ya-Zhou Ji Yuan Mu Shi-Chang Zhang Shi-Yang Pan | 2020 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,14: | 12 |

| 8 | Inflammatory biomarkers and cerebral small vessel disease:a community-based cohort study显示文摘Background and purpose Although inflammation has been proposed to be a candidate risk factor for cerebral small vessel disease(CSVD),previous findings remain largely inconclusive and vary according to disease status and study designs.The present study aimed to investigate possible associations between inflammatory biomarkers and MRI markers of CSVD.Methods A group of 15 serum inflammatory biomarkers representing a variety of those putatively involved in the inflammatory cascade was grouped and assessed in a cross-sectional study involving 960 stroke-free subjects.The biomarker panel was grouped as follows:systemic inflammation(high-sensitivity C reactive protein(hsCRP),interleukin 6 and tumour necrosis factorα),endothelial-related inflammation(E-selectin,P-selectin,intercellular adhesion molecule 1,vascular cell adhesion molecule 1(VCAM-1),CD40 ligand,lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2,chitinase-3-like 1 protein and total homocysteine(tHCY))and media-related inflammation(matrix metalloproteinases 2,3 and 9,and osteopontin).The association(s)between different inflammatory groups and white matter hyperintensity(WMH),lacunes,cerebral microbleeds(CMBs),enlarged perivascular space(PVS)and the number of deep medullary veins(DMVs)were investigated.Results High levels of serum endothelial-related inflammatory biomarkers were associated with both increased WMH volume(R^(2)=0.435,p=0.015)and the presence of lacunes(R^(2)=0.254,p=0.027).Backward stepwise elimination of individual inflammatory biomarkers for endothelial-related biomarkers revealed that VCAM-1 was significant for WMH(β=0.063,p=0.005)and tHCY was significant for lacunes(β=0.069,p<0.001).There was no association between any group of inflammatory biomarkers and CMBs or PVS.Systemic inflammatory biomarkers were associated with fewer DMVs(R^(2)=0.032,p=0.006),and backward stepwise elimination of individual systemic-related inflammatory biomarkers revealed that hsCRP(β=−0.162,p=0.007)was significant.Conclusion WMH and lacunes were associated with endothelial-related inflammatory biomarkers,and fewer DMVs were associated with systemic inflammation,thus suggesting different underlying inflammatory processes and mechanisms. | Ding-Ding Zhang Yuan Cao Jing-Yu Mu Yi-Ming Liu Feng Gao Fei Han Fei-Fei Zhai Li-Xin Zhou Jun Ni Ming Yao Ming-Li Li Zheng-Yu Jin Shu-Yang Zhang Li-Ying Cui Yong Shen Yi-Cheng Zhu | 2022 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,4: | 11 |

| 13 | Newborn screening with targeted sequencing:a multicenter investigation and a pilot clinical study in China显示文摘Different newborn screening(NBS) programs have been practiced in many countries since the 1960 s. It is of considerable interest whether next-generation sequencing is applicable in NBS. We have developed a panel of 465 causative genes for 596 early-onset, relatively high incidence, and potentially actionable severe inherited diseases in our Newborn Screening with Targeted Sequencing(NESTS) program to screen 11,484 babies in 8 Women and Children’s hospitals nationwide in China retrospectively. The positive rate from preliminary screening of NESTS was 7.85%(902/11,484). With 45.89%(414/902) follow-up of preliminary positive cases, the overall clinically confirmative diagnosis rate of monogenic disorders was 12.07%(50/414), estimating an average of 0.95%(7.85% × 12.07%) clinical diagnosis rate, suggesting that monogenic disorders account for a considerable proportion of birth defects. The disease/gene spectrum varied in different regions of China. NESTS was implemented in a hospital by screening 3923 newborns to evaluate its clinical application. The turn-around time of a primary report, including the sequencing period of < 7 days, was within 11 days by our automatic interpretation pipeline. | 16 | New technique: Design and implementation of the highly-reliable, low-cost housekeeping system in the ZDPS-1A pico-satellite显示文摘The ZDPS-1A pico-satellite designed in Zhejiang University with a mass of 3.5 kg and a power consumption of less than 3.5 W is the smallest satellite in China up to now. The housekeeping system (HKS) is the core part of ZDPS-1A. The reliability of HKS has an important influence on the safety of the satellite. Traditional fault-tolerant methods do not apply to ZDPS-1A due to such pico-satellite characteristics as light weight, compactness in size, energy saving, and high integration. This paper deals with a highly-reliable, low-cost design for HKS using industrial devices. The reliable strategies of HKS include a dual modular redundancy scheme, CPU warm backup, a static triple modular redundancy scheme, and two-level watchdogs. Recursive experiments, special tests, and environmental tests show that this system meets the design target. This design has already been applied to ZDPS-1A, which was launched to execute in-orbit tasks on Sept. 22, 2010. | 17 | SF_6断路器的热开断性能的数值预测(英文)显示文摘The design technology for HV SF6 gas circuit breakers is very demanding.A numerical method for prediction of the thermal interruption capability of SF6 gas circuit breakers is established based on the two-dimensional magneto-hydrodynamic(MHD) model and a commercial CFD(computational fluid dynamics) software,FLUENT.Nozzle ablation effect is considered by introducing an independent mass conservation equation for the ablated material to the overall conservation equations of mass,momentum,and energy.The ohmic heating and the radiation of the electric arc are considered in the model by adding relevant source terms.To predict the thermal interruption capability,the arc conductance 200 ns before current zero is used as an indicator.The CFD model is applied for the high current arcing phase,and Mayr arc model is used near the current zero period.The arc conductance at 200 ns before current zero(G200) for various arcing periods are computed by the present method.It shows that there exist a limit of the G200.For those whose arcing periods are within the arcing window,the related G200 are below the limit,therefore result a successful current interruption,and vice versa.The validation of the developed computer simulation tool is therefore verified.The numerical prediction by the simulation tool is verified by the direct interrupting test of 550 kV gas circuit breaker(GCB).The developed computer simulation tool was applied in the design of a 550 kV GCB.Significant benefits have been achieved in terms of both the cost saving and shorten of the development cycle. | MU Jingwei GUO Jin DENG Xiang'e | 2013 | 高电压技术2013,39,4: | 6 |

| 19 | High levels of circulating GM-CSF^(+) CD4^(+) T cells are predictive of poor outcomes in sepsis patients: a prospective cohort study显示文摘Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(GM-CSF),produced by CD4^(+)T cells,has recently been implicated in the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases,such as multiple sclerosis and juvenile arthritis.However,the role of GM-CSF-producing CD4^(+)T cells in sepsis remains unknown.This study reports peripheral changes in GM-CSF-producing CD4^(+)T cells in septic patients and the possible underlying mechanism by which GM-CSF influences the outcome of sepsis.Forty-three septic patients,20 SIRS patients,and 20 healthy controls were enrolled in this study and followed for 28 days to assess mortality.We measured the peripheral frequency of GM-CSF^(+)CD4^(+)T cells and recorded their associated relationship with disease progression.Our data demonstrated that peripheral GM-CSF-producing CD4^(+)T cells were significantly higher in septic patients than in both SIRS patients and healthy controls.These cells exhibit a memory phenotype and impaired IFN-γ-secreting capacity in sepsis patients.Using a receiver operating curve analysis with 8.01%as a cut-off point,the percentage of GM-CSF^(+)CD4^(+)T cells could predict the outcome of septic patients.Combined with the increase in GM-CSF-producing CD4^(+)T cells,inflammatory cytokines IL-1βand IL-6 were also upregulated.Using an in vitro neutrophil model,we found that GM-CSF inhibited C3aR expression,while inducing IL-8 production.Furthermore,this effect was transferrable in plasma from sepsis patients and was attenuated by inhibition of GM-CSF using an anti-GM-CSF antibody.These results indicate that GM-CSF-producing CD4^(+)T cells may serve as a marker of sepsis severity.Thus,targeting GM-CSF overproduction may benefit sepsis patients. | Huihuang Huang Siyu Wang Tianjun Jiang Rong Fan Zheng Zhang Jinsong Mu Ke Li Yonggang Wang Lei Jin Fang Lin Jie Xia Lijian Sun Biao Xu Chengcheng Ji Jing Chen Juan Chang Bo Tu Bing Song Chao Zhang Fu-Sheng Wang Ruonan Xu | 2019 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,6: | 6 |

Unlike common pico-satellites, they are designed to be 'larger but stronger' with more powerful platforms and unique payloads so as to bear a better promise for real applications. Through their space flight mission, the functionality and performance of the two flight models are tested on orbit and validated to be mostly normal and in consistency with design and ground tests with only several inconforming occasions. Moreover, they have worked properly on orbit for one year so far, well exceeding their life expectancy of three months. Therefore, the space flight mission has reached all its goals, and verified that the design concept and the engineering process of the picosatellites are sufficient in allowing them the desired functionality and performance in, and the adaption to the launch procedure and the low-Earth orbit space environment.
