2Biomass-derived porous carbon highly efficient for removal of Pb(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ)显示文摘The utilization of abundant and renewable biomass to fabricate advanced functional materials is considered a promising route for environmental applications.Herein,Lignin-based porous carbon with layered graphene-like structure(LPC)is successfully synthesized and applied to efficiently remove Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ).The as-synthesized LPC materials are systematically characterized and these results show that LPC has a porous graphene-like structure,facilitating the diffusion and immobilization of heavy metal ions.The influence of different reaction parameters(solution pH,initial concentration of metal ions,contact time and adsorbent amount)on the adsorption performance is investigated in details.The results demonstrate that LPC can achieve superior adsorption capacities of 250.5 mg·g^-1 for Pb(Ⅱ)and 126.4 mg·g^-1 for Cd(Ⅱ),which are far superior to the previously reported adsorbents.Pseudo-second order kinetics model and Freundlich isotherm model describe the adsorption process well.Furthermore,the exhausted LPC can be regenerated easily and exhibits the removal efficiency of 96%and 92%for Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)after five continuous runs,respectively.This study shows a sustainable strategy for the design of porous carbon material from na?ve biomass and highlights the great potential in wastewater treatment.Anqi Wang Zhikeng Zheng Ruiqi Li Di Hu Yiran Lu Huixia Luo Kai Yan 2019Green Energy & Environment2019,4,4:10
3Characterization of a Putative New Semi-Dominant Reduced Height Gene, Rht_NM9, in Wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)显示文摘Plant height is an important agronomic trait in cereal crops, and can affect both plant architecture and grain yield. New dwarfing genes are required for improving the genetic diversity of wheat. In this study, a novel dwarf mutant, NM9, was created by treating seeds of the wheat variety NAU9918 with ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS). NM9 showed obvious phenotypic changes, which were distinct from those caused by other dwarfing genes, especially the reduced plant height, increased effective tiller number, and elongated spike and grain length. The reduced plant height in NM9 was attributable to a semi-dominant dwarfing gene Rht_NM9, which was flanked by two closely linked SNP markers, SNP34 and SNP41, covering an 8.86-Mb region on the chromosome arm 2AS. The results of gibberellic acid(GA) sensitivity evaluation, comparative genomics analysis and allelism test indicated that Rht_NM9 was neither allelic to Rht7 and Rht21 nor homoeoallelic to Rht8, so Rht_NM9 was proposed to be a new dwarfing locus on the homoeologous group 2 chromosomes of wheat. 5Severe human infection with a novel avian-origin influenza A(H7N4) virus显示文摘Human infections with influenza H7 subtypes, such as H7N9, have raised concerns worldwide. Here, we report a human infection with a novel influenza A(H7N4) virus. A 68 years-old woman with cardiovascular and cholecystic comorbidities developed rapidly progressed pneumonia with influenza-like-illness as initial symptom, recovered after 23 days-hospitalization including 8 days in ICU. Laboratory indicators for liver and blood coagulation dysfunction were observed. Oseltamivir phosphate, glucocorticoids and antibiotics were jointly implemented, with nasal catheterization of oxygen inhalation for this patient.We obtained the medical records and collected serial respiratory and blood specimens from her. We collected throat, cloacal and/or feces samples of poultry and wild birds from the patient's backyard, neighborhood, local live poultry markets(LPMs) and the nearest lake. All close contacts of the patient were followed up and sampled with throat swabs and sera. Influenza viruses and other respiratory pathogens were tested by real-time RT-PCR, viral culturing and/or sequencing for human respiratory and bird samples. Micro-neutralizing assay was performed for sera. A novel reassortant wild bird-origin H7N4 virus is identified from the patient and her backyard poultry(chickens and ducks) by sequencing, which is distinct from previously-reported avian H7N4 and H7N9 viruses. At least four folds increase of neutralizing antibodies to H7N4 was detected in her convalescent sera. 6Development of T. aestivum L.eH. californicum Alien Chromosome Lines and Assignment of Homoeologous Groups of Hordeum californicum Chromosomes显示文摘Hordeum californicum(2n=2x=14, HH) is resistant to several wheat diseases and tolerant to lower nitrogen. In this study, a molecular karyotype of H. californicum chromosomes in the Triticum aestivum L. cv. Chinese Spring(CS)eH. californicum amphidiploid(2n=6x=56, AABBDDHH) was established. By genomic in situ hybridization(GISH) and multicolor fluorescent in situ hybridization(FISH) using repetitive DNA clones(pTa71, pTa794 and pSc119.2) as probes, the H. californicum chromosomes could be differentiated from each other and from the wheat chromosomes unequivocally. Based on molecular karyotype and marker analyses, 12 wheatealien chromosome lines, including four disomic addition lines(DAH1, DAH3, DAH5 and DAH6), five telosomic addition lines(MtH7L,MtH1 S, MtH1 L, DtH6 S and DtH6L), one multiple addition line involving H. californicum chromosome H2, one disomic substitution line(DSH4) and one translocation line(TH7S/1BL), were identified from the progenies derived from the crosses of CSeH. californicum amphidiploid with common wheat varieties. A total of 482 EST(expressed sequence tag) or SSR(simple sequence repeat) markers specific for individual H. californicum chromosomes were identified, and 47, 50, 45, 49, 21, 51 and 40 markers were assigned to chromosomes H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6 and H7, respectively. According to the chromosome allocation of these markers, chromosomes H2,H3, H4, H5, and H7 of H. californicum have relationship with wheat homoeologous groups 5, 2, 6, 3, and 1, and hence could be designated as 5Hc, 2Hc, 6Hc, 3Hcand 1Hc, respectively. 7FLT3 tyrosine kinase inhibitors synergize with BCL-2 inhibition to eliminate FLT3/ITD acute leukemia cells through BIM activation显示文摘Tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs)targeting FLT3 have shown activity but when used alone have achieved limited success in clinical trials,suggesting the need for combination with other drugs.We investigated the combination of FLT3 TKIs(Gilteritinib or Sorafenib),with Venetodax,a BCL-2 selective inhibitor(BCL-2i),on FLT3/ITD leukemia cells.The combination of a FLT3 TKI and a BCL-2i synergistically reduced cell proliferation and enhanced apoptosis/cell death in FLT3/ITD cell lines and primary AML samples.Venetoclax also re-sensitized FLT3 TKI-resistant cells to Gilteritinib or Sorafenib treatment,mediated through MAPK pathway inhibition.Gilteritinib treatment alone dissociated BIM from MCL-1 but increased the binding of BIM to BCL-2.Venetoclax treatment enhanced the binding of BIM to MCL-1 but dissociated BIM from BCL-2.Treatment with the drugs together resulted in dissociation of BIM from both BCL-2 and MCL-1,with an increased binding of BIM to the cell death mediator BAX,leading to increased apoptosis.These findings suggest that Venetoclax mitigates the unintended pro-survival effects of FLT3 TKI mainly through the dissociation of BIM and BCL-2 and also decreased BIM expression.This study provides evidence that the addition of BCL-2i enhances the effect of FLT3 TKI therapy in FLT3/ITD AML treatment.Ruiqi Zhu Li Li Bao Nguyen Jaesung Seo Min Wu Tessa Seale Mark Levis Amy Duffield Yu Hu Donald Small 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,6:2
8Minimum Structural Similarity Distortion for Reversible Data Hiding显示文摘Until now, most Reversible data hiding(RDH) techniques have been evaluated by Peak signal-tonoise ratio(PSNR), which based on Mean squared error(MSE). Unfortunately, MSE turns out to be an extremely poor measure when the purpose is to predict perceived signal fidelity or quality. The Structural similarity(SSIM)index has gained widespread popularity as an alternative motivating principle for the design of image quality measures. How to utilize the characterize of SSIM to design RDH algorithm is very critical. We propose an optimal RDH algorithm under structural similarity constraint. We deduce the metric of the structural similarity constraint,and further we prove it does not hold Non-crossing-edges(NCE) property. We construct the rate-distortion function of optimal structural similarity constraint, which is equivalent to minimize the average distortion for a given embedding rate, and then we can obtain the optimal transition probability matrix under the structural similarity constraint. 9Load Transferring Mechanism on Transition Section of Composite Bucket Foundation for Offshore Wind Turbines显示文摘The composite bucket foundation(CBF) is a new kind of foundation which has been applied in the offshore wind industry. A reasonable connection pattern between the tower and the CBF top cover is crucial for load transmissions from the superstructure. Therefore, it is essential to choose an optimum structure type for the transition section. The line type and the arc transition section models were established by ABAQUS, and the internal forces of cross section were extracted along the height direction. Specifically, the force transfer mechanism for different types of the transition sections was investigated comparatively with monotonic as well as composite loadings. 10Trimetallic synergistic optimization of 0D NiCoFe-P QDs anchoring on 2D porous carbon for efficient electrocatalysis and high-energy supercapacitor显示文摘Developing multi-functional and low-cost noble-metal-free catalysts such as transition metal phosphides(TMPs)to replace noble-metal is of practical significance for energy conversion and storage.However,the low-durability and the agglomeration phenomenon during the electrochemical process limit their practical applications.Herein,using metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)as the precursor and a combined strategy of gradient temperature calcination and thermal phosphorization,a 0D/2D heterostructure of NiCoFe-P quantum dots(QDs)anchored on porous carbon was successfully developed as highly efficient electrode materials for overall water splitting and supercapacitors.Owing to this distinctive 0D/2D heterostructure and the synergistic effect of multi-metallic TMPs,the NiCoFe-P/C exhibits excellent electrocatalytic activity and durability of HER(87 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2))and OER(257 mV at 100 mA cm^(-2))in the KOH electrolyte.When NiCoFe-P/C is used as the two electrodes of electrolyzed water,only 1.55 V can drive the current density to 10 m A cm^(-2).At the same time,our NiCoFe-P/C possessed extraordinary property for charge storage.In particular,an ultra-high energy density of 100.8 Wh kg^(-1) was achieved at a power density of 900.0 W kg^(-1) for our assembled hybrid supercapacitor device NiCoFe-P/C(2:1)//activated carbon(AC).This work may open a potential way for the design of 0D/2D hybrid multifunctional nanomaterials based on TMPs QDs.Ruiqi Liu Xue-Rong Shi Yi Wen Xiaoxuan Shao Chen Su Jing Hu Shusheng Xu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,11:1

15Unveiling the time-temperature dependence of metastability of supercooled liquid using nano-calorimetry显示文摘There is a lack of understanding of both the conversion of an unstable glass into a metastable supercooled liquid(MSL) upon heating and the metastability of MSLs. In this study, we investigated the time-and temperature-dependent metastability of an MSL using an advanced nano-calorimetric technique. The chosen Au-based metallic glass(Au MG) allowed adequate probing of its MSL in a temperature range between 10 and 70 K above the standard glass transition temperature. We found that the survival time of the MSL state is a quadratic function of temperature. Beyond this duration threshold, the sample undergoes fast crystallization even if it is below the crystallization temperature that is measured using differential scanning calorimetry.Employing transmission electron microscopy, we observed the formation of clusters with a partially ordered lattice structure during relaxation in the Au MG sample fabricated using a nano-calorimeter. The atomic ordering within the clusters was enhanced by increasing time and temperature in the MSL region. Once the as-produced glass entered the MSL stage upon heating followed by a quenching stage at a given rate, the mechanical properties of the quenched glass remained the same regardless of its holding temperature and duration within the MSL region. 18Valley dynamics of different excitonic states in monolayer WSe_(2)grown by molecular beam epitaxy显示文摘Monolayer transition-metal dichalcogenides possess rich excitonic physics and unique valley-contrasting optical selection rule,and offer a great platform for long spin/valley lifetime engineering and the associated spin/valleytronics exploration.Using two-color time-resolved Kerr rotation and time-resolved reflectivity spectroscopy,we investigate the spin/valley dynamics of different excitonic states in monolayer WSe_(2)grown by molecular beam epitaxy.With fine tuning of the photon energy of both pump and probe beams,the valley relaxation process for the neutral excitons and trions is found to be remarkably different-their characteristic spin/valley lifetimes vary from picoseconds to nanoseconds,respectively.The observed long trion spin lifetime of>2.0 ns is discussed to be associated with the dark trion states,which is evidenced by the photon-energy dependent valley polarization relaxation.Our results also reveal that valley depolarization for these different excitonic states is intimately connected with the strong Coulomb interaction when the optical excitation energy is above the exciton resonance.Shengmin Hu Jialiang Ye Ruiqi Liu Xinhui Zhang 2022Journal of Semiconductors2022,43,8:0
19Dual-Driven Hemostats Featured with Puncturing Erythrocytes for Severe Bleeding in Complex Wounds显示文摘Achieving rapid hemostasis in complex and deep wounds with secluded hemorrhagic sites is still a challenge because of the difficulty in delivering hemostats to these sites.In this study,a Janus particle,SEC-Fe@CaT with dual-driven forces,bubble-driving,and magnetic field–(MF–)mediated driving,was prepared via in situ loading of Fe_(3)O_(4) on a sunflower sporopollenin exine capsule(SEC),and followed by growth of flower-shaped CaCO3 clusters.The bubble-driving forces enabled SEC-Fe@CaT to self-diffuse in the blood to eliminate agglomeration,and the MF-mediated driving force facilitated the SEC-Fe@CaT countercurrent against blood to access deep bleeding sites in the wounds.During the movement in blood flow,the meteor hammer-like SEC from SEC-Fe@CaT can puncture red blood cells(RBCs)to release procoagulants,thus promoting activation of platelet and rapid hemostasis.Animal tests suggested that SEC-Fe@CaT stopped bleeding in as short as 30 and 45 s in femoral artery and liver hemorrhage models,respectively.In contrast,the similar commercial product Celox™required approximately 70 s to stop the bleeding in both bleeding modes.This study demonstrates a new hemostat platform for rapid hemostasis in deep and complex wounds.It was the first attempt integrating geometric structure of sunflower pollen with dual-driven movement in hemostasis.Haoyu Qiu Guangqian Lan Weiwei Ding Xinyu Wang Wenyi Wang Dahua Shou Fei Lu Enling Hu Kun Yu Songmin Shang Ruiqi Xie 2022Research2022,,4:0
20High-performance violet phosphorus photodetectors with van der Waals-assisted contacts显示文摘Black phosphorus(BP) as a narrow-bandgap two-dimensional semiconductor material has been extensively studied. And the allotrope violet phosphorus(VP) exhibits wide bandgap properties extending the application in the visible light band. However,due to the Schottky barrier of metal/semiconductor contacts(M/S), further device application of VP is limited. Here, VP-based photodetectors with van der Waals-assisted contact were demonstrated, achieving quasi-Ohmic M/S contacts. The output characteristics in dark conditions show ultralow current at the pA level. And the device exhibits a high current on-off ratio of 10~5and a fast response speed of 8.4 ms. Furthermore, we constructed the first allotropic photodetector based on BP and VP heterojunction. The device maintains ultralow dark current(~ pA) while exhibiting faster carrier transport, with 945 μs response time and polarization detection capability.
