| 1 | Progress in Global Gas Hydrate Development and Production as a New Energy Resource显示文摘Natural gas hydrates have been hailed as a new and promising unconventional alternative energy,especially as fossil fuels approach depletion,energy consumption soars,and fossil fuel prices rise,owing to their extensive distribution,abundance,and high fuel efficiency.Gas hydrate reservoirs are similar to a storage cupboard in the global carbon cycle,containing most of the world's methane and accounting for a third of Earth's mobile organic carbon.We investigated gas hydrate stability zone burial depths from the viewpoint of conditions associated with stable existence of gas hydrates,such as temperature,pressure,and heat flow,based on related data collected by the global drilling programs.Hydrate-related areas are estimated using various biological,geochemical and geophysical tools.Based on a series of previous investigations,we cover the history and status of gas hydrate exploration in the USA,Japan,South Korea,India,Germany,the polar areas,and China.Then,we review the current techniques for hydrate exploration in a global scale.Additionally,we briefly review existing techniques for recovering methane from gas hydrates,including thermal stimulation,depressurization,chemical injection,and CH4-CO2 exchange,as well as corresponding global field trials in Russia,Japan,United States,Canada and China.In particular,unlike diagenetic gas hydrates in coarse sandy sediments in Japan and gravel sediments in the United States and Canada,most gas hydrates in the northem South China Sea are non-diagenetic and exist in fine-grained sediments with a vein-like morphology.Therefore,especially in terms of the offshore production test in gas hydrate reservoirs in the Shenhu area in the north slope of the South China Sea,Chinese scientists have proposed two unprecedented techniques that have been verified during the field trials:solid fluidization and formation fluid extraction.Herein,we introduce the two production techniques,as well as the so-called'fbur-in-one'environmental monitoring system employed during the Shenhu production test.Methane is not currently commercially produced from gas hydrates anywhere in the world;therefore,the objective of field trials is to prove whether existing techniques could be applied as feasible and economic production methods for gas hydrates in deep-water sediments and permafrost zones.Before achieving commercial methane recovery from gas hydrates,it should be necessary to measure the geologic properties of gas hydrate reservoirs to optimize and improve existing production techniques.Herein,we propose horizontal wells,multilateral wells,and cluster wells improved by the vertical and in dividual wells applied during existing field trials.It is noteworthy that relatively pure gas hydrates occur in seafloor mounds,within near-surface sediments,and in gas migration conduits.Their extensive distribution,high saturation,and easy access mean that these types of gas hydrate may attract considerable attention from academia and industry in the future.Herein,we also review the occurrence and development of concentrated shallow hydrate accumulations and briefly introduce exploration and production techniques.In the closing section,we discuss future research needs,key issues,and major challenges related to gas hydrate exploration and production.We believe this review article provides insight on past,present,and future gas hydrate exploration and production to provide guidelines and stimulate new work into the field of gas hydrates. | LIU Liping SUN Zhilei ZHANG Lei WU Nengyou Yichao Qin JIANG Zuzhou GENG Wei CAO Hong ZHANG Xilin ZHAI Bin XU Cuiling SHEN Zhicong JIA Yonggang | 2019 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,3: | 13 |

The package's component integrality is comparative with the other advanced models physics. A three-level structure of connecting GRAPES physics and dynamic frame has been constructed. The friendly interface is designed for users to plug in their own physics packages. Phenomenon of grid-point storm rainfall in numerical prediction is analyzed with the numerical tests. The scheme of air vertical velocity calculation is improved. Optimizing tests of physics schemes are performed with the correlative parameters adjusting. The results show that the false grid-point storm rainfall is removed by precipitation scheme improving. | 5 | Extractive distillation: Advances in conceptual design, solvent selection,and separation strategies显示文摘Extractive distillation(ED) is one of the most promising approaches for the separation of the azeotropic or closeboiling mixtures in the chemical industry. The purpose of this paper is to provide a broad overview of the recent development of key aspects in the ED process involving conceptual design, solvent selection, and separation strategies. To obtain the minimum entrainer feed flow rate and reflux ratio for the ED process, the conceptual design of azeotropic mixture separation based on a topological analysis via thermodynamic feasibility insights involving residue curve maps, univolatility lines, and unidistribution curves is presented. The method is applicable to arbitrary multicomponent mixtures and allows direct screening of design alternatives. The determination of a suitable solvent is one of the key steps to ensure an effective and economical ED process. Candidate entrainers can be obtained from heuristics or literature studies while computer aided molecular design(CAMD) has superiority in efficiency and reliability. To achieve optimized extractive distillation systems, a brief review of evaluation method for both entrainer design and selection through CAMD is presented. Extractive distillation can be operated either in continuous extractive distillation(CED) or batch extractive distillation(BED), and both modes have been well-studied depending on the advantages in flexibility and low capital costs. To improve the energy efficiency, several configurations and technological alternatives can be used for both CED and BED depending on strategies and main azeotropic feeds. | 6 | Speciation and thermal transformation of sulfur forms in high-sulfur coal and its utilization in coal-blending coking process:A review显示文摘The utilization of high-sulfur coal is becoming more urgent due to the excessive utilization of low-sulfur,high-quality coal resources,and sulfur removal from high-sulfur coal is the most important issue.This paper reviews the speciation,forms and distribution of sulfur in coal,the sulfur removal from raw coal,the thermal transformation of sulfur during coal pyrolysis,and the sulfur regulation during coal-blending coking of high organic-sulfur coals.It was suggested that the proper characterization of sulfur in coal cannot be obtained only by either chemical method or instrumental characterization,which raises the need of a combination of current or newly adopted characterization methods.Different from the removal of inorganic sulfur from coal,the organic sulfur can only be partly removed by chemical technologies;and the coal structure and property,particularly high-sulfur coking coals which have caking ability,may be altered and affected by the pretreatment processes.Based on the interactions among the sulfur radicals,sulfur-containing and hydrogen-containing fragments during coal pyrolysis and the reactions with minerals or nascent char,regulating the sulfur transformation behavior in the process of thermal conversion is the most effective way to utilize high organic-sulfur coals in the coke-making industry.An in-situ regulation approach of sulfur transformation during coal-blending coking has been suggested.That is,the high volatile coals with an appropriate releasing temperature range of CH4 overlapping well with that of H2 S from high organic-sulfur coals is blended with high organic-sulfur coals,and the C–S/C–C bonds in some sulfur forms are catalytically broken and immediately hydrogenated by the hydrogencontaining radicals generated from high volatile coals.Wherein,the effect of mass transfer on sulfur regulation during the coking process should be considered for the larger-scale coking tests through optimizing the ratios of different coals in the coal blend. | Yanfeng Shen Yongfeng Hu Meijun Wang Weiren Bao Liping Chang Kechang Xie | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,7: | 5 |
| 7 | The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. | 8 | The efficacy and safety of nimodipine in acute ischemic stroke patients with mild cognitive impairment: a double-blind, randomized,placebo-controlled trial显示文摘Nimodipine might be effective in subcortical vascular dementia(VaD). Its benefit in preventing further cognitive decline in patients with acute ischemic stroke(AIS) and vascular mild cognitive impairment(VaMCI) remains to be established. In this multicenter, double-blind trial, we randomly assigned 654 eligible patients to nimodipine 30 mg three times a day or placebo. The primary outcome was any cognitive decline defined by the changes on the Mini-Mental State Examination(DMMSE à3) or vascular AD assessment scale cognitive subscale(DADAS-cog ! 4) at 6 months. Secondary outcomes included any distribution shift of DADAS-cog, DMMSE or cognitive improvement defined by DADAS-cog à2, or DMMSE ! 0. The primary outcome in the nimodipine group and placebo group were similar for DMMSE à3(4.18% and 7.22%, respectively, P = 0.15) and DADAS-cog ! 4(8.36% and 8.93% respectively,P = 0.88). The distribution shift of DADAS-cog and DMMSE differed significantly between the two groups(P = 0.03 and P = 0.05 respectively). Cognitive improvement occurred in 55.4% in the nimodipine group and 43.6% in the placebo group measured by DADAS-cog à2(Odds Ratio, 1.54; 95% confidence interval[CI] 1.10–2.14, P < 0.01) or 84.0% and 74.6% respectively by DMMSE ! 0(Odds Ratio, 1.79; 95% CI 1.18–2.70, P < 0.01). Nimodipine was associated with better cognitive function in the memory domain. The adverse events rate was similar in two groups. This study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov,NCT01220622. | 10 | Current understanding of osteoarthritis pathogenesis and relevant new approaches显示文摘Osteoarthritis(OA)is the most common degenerative joint disease that causes painful swelling and permanent damage to the joints in the body.The molecular mechanisms of OA are currently unknown.OA is a heterogeneous disease that affects the entire joint,and multiple tissues are altered during OA development.To better understand the pathological mechanisms of OA,new approaches,methods,and techniques need to be used to understand OA pathogenesis.In this review,we first focus on the epigenetic regulation of OA,with a particular focus on DNA methylation,histone modification,and microRNA regulation,followed by a summary of several key mediators in OA-associated pain.We then introduce several innovative techniques that have been and will continue to be used in the fields of OA and OA-associated pain,such as CRISPR,scRNA sequencing,and lineage tracing.Next,we discuss the timely updates concerning cell death regulation in OA pathology,including pyroptosis,ferroptosis,and autophagy,as well as their individual roles in OA and potential molecular targets in treating OA.Finally,our review highlights new directions on the role of the synovial lymphatic system in OA.An improved understanding of OA pathogenesis will aid in the development of more specific and effective therapeutic interventions for OA. | Liping Tong Huan Yu Xingyun Huang Jie Shen Guozhi Xiao Lin Chen Huaiyu Wang Lianping Xing Di Chen | 2022 | Bone Research2022,10,4: | 4 |
| 11 | The combination of chidamide with the CHOEP regimen in previously untreated patients with peripheral T-cell lymphoma: a prospective, multicenter, single arm, phase 1b/2 study显示文摘Objective:To assess the efficacy and safety of the novel histone deacetylase inhibitor,chidamide,in combination with cyclophosphamide,doxorubicin,vincristine,etoposide,and prednisone(Chi-CHOEP)for untreated peripheral T-cell lymphoma(PTCL).Methods:A prospective,multicenter,single arm,phase 1 b/2 study was conducted.A total of 128 patients with untreated PTCL(18–70 years of age)were enrolled between March 2016 and November 2019,and treated with up to 6 cycles with the Chi-CHOEP regimen.In the phase 1 b study,3 dose levels of chidamide were evaluated and the primary endpoint was determination of the maximumtolerated dose and recommended phase 2 dose(RP2 D).The primary endpoint of the phase 2 study was 2-year progression-free survival(PFS).Results:Fifteen patients were enrolled in the phase 1 b study and the RP2 D for chidamide was determined to be 20 mg,twice a week.A total of 113 patients were treated at the RP2 D in the phase 2 study,and the overall response rate was 60.2%,with a complete response rate of 40.7%.At a median follow-up of 36 months,the median PFS was 10.7 months,with 1-,2-,and 3-year PFS rates of 49.9%,38.0%,and 32.8%,respectively.The Chi-CHOEP regimen was well-tolerated,with grade 3/4 neutropenia occurring in approximately two-thirds of the patients.No unexpected adverse events(AEs)were reported and the observed AEs were manageable.Conclusions:This large cohort phase 1 b/2 study showed that Chi-CHOEP was well-tolerated with modest efficacy in previously untreated PTCL patients. | Wei Zhang Liping Su Lihong Liu Yuhuan Gao Quanshun Wang Hang Su Yuhuan Song Huilai Zhang Jing Shen Hongmei Jing Shuye Wang Xinan Cen Hui Liu Aichun Liu Zengjun Li Jianmin Luo Jianxia He Jingwen Wang O.A.O’Connor Daobin Zhou | 2021 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,3: | 4 |
| 12 | Downregulation of KCTD12 contributes to melanoma stemness by modulating CD271显示文摘Objective: Cancer metastasis remains the primary cause of cancer-related death worldwide.In a previous study, we found that levels of BTB/POZ domain-containing protein KCTD12 are lower in metastatic melanoma cells than in parental melanoma cells.The purpose of this study was to identify the roles of KCTD12 in cancer metastasis.Methods: The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA) datasets were used to evaluate the relationship between KCTD12 and skin cutaneous melanoma(SKCM) prognosis.The effects of endogenous KCTD12 on biological behaviors were examined using the MTT assay.The impacts of KCTD12 on melanoma stemness were explored using spheroid formation assay.KCTD12 knockout A375 cells were generated to confirm the inhibitory effect of KCTD12 on CD271, and a mouse metastatic model was used to determine the impact of KCTD12 on melanoma metastasis in vivo.Results: KCTD12 levels were lower in lung metastatic cells than in paired parental melanoma cells, and low KCTD12 expression indicated a poor prognosis in SKCM.Cancer metastasis-related capacities were higher in lung metastatic cells than in parental melanoma cells.Moreover, KCTD12 knockdown enhanced tumor growth and metastasis both in vitro and in vivo.Mechanistically, the interaction between KCTD12 and CD271 might be responsible for the stemness transformation after KCTD12 knockdown.Conclusions: This study identifies for the first time the role of the interaction between KCTD12 and CD271 in inducing melanoma cell stemness transformation.Moreover, KCTD12 repression enhances melanoma cell growth, adhesion, migration and invasion. | Weiyu Shen Yumei Li Bifei Li Liping Zheng Xiaodong Xie Jingqing Le Yusheng Lu Tao Li Fan Chen Lee Jia | 2019 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,3: | 4 |

| 14 | Hypoxia-induced GBE1 expression promotes tumor progression through metabolic reprogramming in lung adenocarcinoma显示文摘Hypoxia mediates a metabolic switch from oxidative phosphorylation to glycolysis and increases glycogen synthesis.We previously found that glycogen branching enzyme(GBE1)is downstream of the hypoxia-inducible factor-1(HIF1)signaling pathway in lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD)cells;however,the molecular mechanism underlying HIF1 regulation of GBE1 expression remains unknown.Herein,the effect of GBE1 on tumor progression via changes in metabolic signaling under hypoxia in vitro and in vivo was evaluated,and GBE1-related genes from human specimens and data sets were analyzed.Hypoxia induced GBE1 upregulation in LUAD cells.GBE1-knockdown A549 cells showed impaired cell proliferation,clone formation,cell migration and invasion,angiogenesis,tumor growth,and metastasis.GBE1 mediated the metabolic reprogramming of LUAD cells.The expression of gluconeogenesis pathway molecules,especially fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase(FBP1),was markedly higher in shGBE1 A549 cells than it was in the control cells.FBP1 inhibited the tumor progression of LUAD.GBE1-mediated FBP1 suppression via promoter methylation enhanced HIF1αlevels through NF-κB signaling.GBE1 may be a negative prognostic biomarker for LUAD patients.Altogether,hypoxia-induced HIF1αmediated GBE1 upregulation,suppressing FBP1 expression by promoter methylation via NF-κB signaling in LUAD cells.FBP1 blockade upregulated HIF1α,triggered the switch to anaerobic glycolysis,and enhanced glucose uptake.Therefore,targeting HIF1α/GBE1/NF-κB/FBP1 signaling may be a potential therapeutic strategy for LUAD. | Lifeng Li Li Yang Zhirui Fan Wenhua Xue Zhibo Shen Yongliang Yuan Xiangdong Sun Dan Wang Jingyao Lian Liping Wang Jie Zhao Yi Zhang | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 3 |
| 15 | First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.).
