2The Qitai radio telescope显示文摘This study presents a general outline of the Qitai radio telescope(QTT)project.Qitai,the site of the telescope,is a county of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China,located in the east Tianshan Mountains at an elevation of about 1800 m.The QTT is a fully steerable,Gregorian-type telescope with a standard parabolic main reflector of 110 m diameter.The QTT has adopted an umbrella support,homology-symmetric lightweight design.The main reflector is active so that the deformation caused by gravity can be corrected.The structural design aims to ultimately allow high-sensitivity observations from 150 MHz up to115 GHz.To satisfy the requirements for early scientific goals,the QTTwill be equipped with ultra-wideband receivers and large field-of-view multi-beam receivers.A multi-function signal-processing system based on RFSo C and GPU processor chips will be developed.These will enable the QTT to operate in pulsar,spectral line,continuum and Very Long Baseline Interferometer(VLBI)observing modes.Electromagnetic compatibility(EMC)and radio frequency interference(RFI)control techniques are adopted throughout the system design.The QTT will form a world-class observational platform for the detection of lowfrequency(nano Hertz)gravitational waves through pulsar timing array(PTA)techniques,pulsar surveys,the discovery of binary black-hole systems,and exploring dark matter and the origin of life in the universe.The QTT will also play an important role in improving the Chinese and international VLBI networks,allowing high-sensitivity and high-resolution observations of the nuclei of distant galaxies and gravitational lensing systems.Deep astrometric observations will also contribute to improving the accuracy of the celestial reference frame.Potentially,the QTT will be able to support future space activities such as planetary exploration in the solar system and to contribute to the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.Na Wang Qian Xu Jun Ma Zhiyong Liu Qi Liu Hailong Zhang Xin Pei Maozheng Chen Richard N.Manchester Kejia Lee Xingwu Zheng Hans J.Kärcher Wulin Zhao Hongwei Li Dongwei Li Martin Süss Matthias Reichert Zhongyi Zhu Congsi Wang Mingshuai Li Rui Li Ning Li Guljaina Kazezkhan Wenming Yan Gang Wu Lang Cui Ming Zhang Haitao Li 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,8:14
3Analysis of sedimentary-geomorphologic variation and the living environment of hominids at the Shuidonggou Paleolithic site显示文摘Shuidonggou is one of the most important Upper Paleolithic sites in North China. Due to the presence of rich human remains,animal fossils,abundant sporopollen and unique geological sequence,it is the type site for Late Pleistocene to Holocene human occupation and environmental change in the Ningxia-Inner Mongolia region. Many scholars suggest that the site should be named the 'Shuidong-gou Formation' of Late Pleistocene in North China. Dating results indicate that ancient human activities at the site took place 30―24 ka (Marine Isotope Stage MIS 3). The climate at that time was warmer and moister than present day,and adequate precipitation led to the formation of water pack depressions where broad-leaf trees and sparse forest vegetations,as well as herbivorous animals flourished,mak-ing the area suitable for early human hunting,gathering and survival. The Neolithic human occupation happened 9―5 ka at the site,while similar environmental conditions with MIS3 occurred. 4Paddy System with a Hybrid Rice Enhances Cyanobacteria Nostoc and Increases N2 Fixation显示文摘Biological nitrogen (N) fixation (BNF) plays a significant role in maintaining soil fertility in paddy field ecosystems. Rice variety influences BNF, but how different rice varieties regulate BNF and associated diazotroph communities has not been quantified. Airtight, field-based 15N2-labelling grow th chamber experiments were used to assess the BNF capac 辻 y of different rice varie ties. In addition, both the 16S rRNA and nifH genes were sequenced to assess the influence of different rice varieties on bacterial and diazotrophic communities in paddy soils. After subjecting a rice-soil system to 74 d of continuous airtight, field-based 15N2 labelling in pots in a growth chamber, the amounts of fixed N were 22.3 and 38.9 kg ha^-1 in inbred japonica (W23) and hybrid indica (IIY) rice cultivars plan ted in the rice-soil systems, respectively, and only 1%—2.5% of the fixed N was allocated to the rice plants and weeds. A greater abundance of diazotrophs was found in the surface soil (0-1 cm) under IIY than under W23. Sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene showed significantly greater abundances of the cyanobacterial genera Nostoc, Anabaena, and Cylindrospermum under IIY than under W23. Sequencing of the nifH gene also showed a significantly greater abundance of Nostoc under IIY than under W23. 5Oxygen vacancies enriched nickel cobalt based nanoflower cathodes: Mechanism and application of the enhanced energy storage显示文摘The rational design of oxygen vacancies and electronic microstructures of electrode materials for energy storage devices still remains a challenge. Herein, we synthesize nickel cobalt-based oxides nanoflower arrays assembled with nanowires grown on Ni foam via the hydrothermal process followed annealing process in air and argon atmospheres respectively. It is found that the annealing atmosphere has a vital influence on the oxygen vacancies and electronic microstructures of resulting NiCo_(2)O_(4) (NCO-Air) and CoNiO_(2) (NCO-Ar) products, which NCO-Ar has more oxygen vacancies and larger specific surface area of 163.48 m^(2)/g. The density functional theory calculation reveals that more oxygen vacancies can provide more electrons to adsorb –OH free anions resulting in superior electrochemical energy storage performance. Therefore, the assembled asymmetric supercapacitor of NCO-Ar//active carbon delivers an excellent energy density of 112.52 Wh/kg at a power density of 558.73 W/kg and the fabricated NCO-Ar//Zn battery presents the specific capacity of 180.20 mAh/g and energy density of 308.14 Wh/kg. 10Association of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and wound healing in patients with diabetic foot ulcers显示文摘To the Editor:Diabetic foot ulcers(DFUs)are an important cause of morbidity in patients with diabetes mellitus(DM).The prevalence of foot ulcers in patients with diabetes is 4%to 10%,with the lifetime incidence estimated to be between 19%and 34%.[1]DFUs have become a considerable burden on patients and the healthcare service system.However,the mechanism is not fully understood,and DFUs are still difficult to heal.High-density lipoproteins(HDL)are circulating particles composed of phospholipids,cholesterol,and proteins.HDL attracted lots of attention mainly because of its protective effect against the development of atherosclerosis.However,it has been shown that decreased HDL levels are correlated with an increased risk of DM and its complications.The association of HDL with DFUs has also received much attention.Lower levels of HDL cholesterol were associated with increased risk for foot ulceration in patients with diabetes(odds ratio 0.427,95%confidence interval[CI]0.228-0.799,P=0.008).[2]HDL cholesterol levels were also revealed to be an independent risk factor of lower-extremity amputation and wound-related death in patients with DFUs(hazard ratio[HR]0.30,95%CI 0.14-0.63,P=0.002).Therefore,there might be a potential correlation between HDL and wound healing.Lihong Chen Wanxia Ma Dawei Chen Chun Wang Yun Gao Xingwu Ran 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,1:1

13Roadmap of amorphous metal-organic framework for electrochemical energy conversion and storage显示文摘Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs),a well-known coordination network involving potential voids,have attracted attention for energy conversion and storage.As far as is known,MOFs are not only believed to be crystalline.Emerging amorphous MOFs(aMOFs)are starting as supplementary to crystalline MOF(cMOF)in various electrochemical energy fields owing to intrinsic superiorities over crystalline states,greater ease of processing,and distinct physical and chemical properties.aMOFs retain the basic skeletons and connectivity of building units but without any long-range order.Such structural features over long range possess the isotropy without grain boundaries,resulting in fast ions flux and uniform distribution.Simultaneously,distinct shortrange characteristics provide diverse pore confined environment and abundant active sites,and thus accelerate mass transport and charge transfer during electrochemical reactions.Deep understandings and controllable design of aMOF may broaden the opportunities for both scientific researches beyond crystalline materials and practical applications.To date,comprehensive reviews about aMOFs in the fields of energy conversion and storage remain woefully underrepresented.Herein,we summarize the roadmap of aMOF from the development,structural design,opportunity,application,bottleneck,and perspective.In-depth structure-activity relationships with aMOF chemistry are highlighted in the typical electrochemical energy conversion like water oxidation and energy storage,including supercapacitor and battery.The combination of disordered nature at long range and short range,alongside the dynamic structural changes,is promising to reinforce cognition of aMOF domains with MOF versatility,shedding light on the design for efficient electrochemical energy applications via amorphization.Hang Wang Qi Yang Nan Zheng Xingwu Zhai Tao Xu Zhixin Sun Liang Wu Min Zhou 2023Nano Research2023,16,3:1

17Pivotal roles of tumor-draining lymph nodes in the abscopal effects from combined immunotherapy and radiotherapy显示文摘Background:Currently,due to synergy enhancement of anti-tumor effects and potent stimulation of abscopal effects,combination therapy with irradiation and programmed cell death protein 1/programmed death-ligand 1(PD-1/PD-L1)immune checkpoint inhibition(immuno-radiotherapy,iRT)has revolutionized the therapeutic guidelines.It has been demonstrated that tumor-draining lymph nodes(TDLN)are essential for effective antitumor immunity induced by radiotherapy,immunotherapy,or iRT.Given that the function of TDLN in iRT remains unclear,this study aimed to investigate the function and mechanism of TDLN in iRT-induced abscopal effects.Methods:The function of TDLN was evaluated using unilateral or bilateral MC38 and B16F10 subcutaneous tumor models with or without indicated TDLN.The flow cytometry,multiple immunofluorescence analysis,and NanoString analysis were utilized to detect the composition and function of the immune cells in the primary and abscopal tumor microenvironment.Additionally,we tempted to interrogate the possible mechanisms via RNA-sequencing of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and TDLN.Results:TDLN deficiency impaired the control of tumor growth by monotherapy.Bilateral TDLN removal rather than unilateral TDLN removal substantially curtailed iRT-stimulated anti-tumor and abscopal effects.Furthermore,in the absence of TDLN,the infiltration of CD45+and CD8+T cells was substantially reduced in both primary and abscopal tumors,and the anti-tumor function of CD8+T cells was attenuated as well.Additionally,the polarization of tumor-associated macrophages in primary and abscopal tumors were found to be dependent on intact bilateral TDLN.RNA-sequencing data indicated that impaired infiltration and anti-tumor effects of immune cells partially attributed to the altered secretion of components from the tumor microenvironment.Conclusions:TDLN play a critical role in iRT by promoting the infiltration of CD8+T cells and maintaining the M1/M2 macrophage ratio.Zhaoyun Liu Zhiyong Yu Dawei Chen Vivek Verma Chenxi Yuan Minglei Wang Fei Wang Qing Fan Xingwu Wang Yang Li Yuequn Ma Meng Wu Jinming Yu 2022Cancer Communications2022,42,10:1
18Effect of Percutaneous Radiofrequency Ablation and Surgical Resection on Treating of Primary Small Liver Cancer: A Meta-Analysis显示文摘Objective:To analyze the clinical effect of primary small liver cancer under radiofrequency ablation(RFA)and surgical resection(SR)treatment,and to explore the best application timing of the two treatment methods.Methods:Randomly controlled clinical trials(RCT)of percutaneous radiofrequency ablation and surgical resection for the treatment of small liver cancer in various databases were searched according to the established search strategy,and Meta data was analyzed based on RevMan5.3 software provided by Cochrane collaborative organization.Results:A total of 10 articles were included in this study,including 1396 patients,699 in the RFA group and 697 in the SR group.Meta-analysis results showed that the two groups had no statistical difference in overall survival rate at 1 and 3 years,1-year disease-free survival rate,and 1-year recurrence rate(P>0.05).The 3-year disease-free survival rate of the RFA group was lower than that of the SR group,and the 3-year recurrence rate was higher than that of the SR group.The higher postoperative complication rate tended to the SR group,and the differences were statistically significant.(P<0.05).Conclusion:For short-term efficacy,radiofrequency ablation and surgical resection show consistency;for long-term efficacy,surgical resection is more effective.Qian He Xingwu Yang Qi Wang Qian Wang 2021Proceedings of Anticancer Research2021,5,1:1
