1Bayesian discriminant analysis for prediction of coal and gas outbursts and application显示文摘Based on the principle of Bayesian discriminant analysis, we established a model of Bayesian discriminant analysis for predicting coal and gas outbursts. We selected five major indices which affect outbursts, i.e., initial speed of methane diffusion, a consistent coal coefficient, gas pressure, destructive style of coal and mining depth, as discriminating factors of the model. In our model, we divided the type of coal and gas outbursts into four grades regarded as four normal populations. We then obtained the corresponding discriminant functions through training a set of data from engineering examples as learning samples and evaluated their criteria by a back substitution method to verify the optimal properties of the model. Finally, we applied the model to the prediction of coal and gas outbursts in the Yunnan Enhong Mine. Our results coincided completely with the actual situation. These results show that a model of Bayesian discriminant analysis has excellent recognition performance, high prediction accuracy and a low error rate and is an effective method to predict coal and gas outbursts.WANG Chao WANG Enyuan XU Jiankun LIU Xiaofei LING Li 2010Mining Science and Technology2010,20,4:9
2Mesoproterozoic to Paleozoic Nd isotope stratigraphy of the South China continental nucleus and its geological significance显示文摘The Yangtze continental nucleus in South China is situated in the Huangling-Shennongjia area in western Hubei Province.It comprises the early Precambrian crystalline basement and generally successive Proterozoic to Phanerozoic sedimentary covers.This paper reports a comprehensive Nd isotope study of fine-grained sedimentary rocks from the regional Mesoproterozoic to early Paleozoic strata.The Nd model ages display a V-shaped variation from ~2.5-2.8 Ga during the late Mesoproterozoic through ~1.5-1.7 Ga during the Neoproterozoic Nanhua Period to ~1.8-2.1 Ga during the Paleozoic Ordovician,with corresponding Nd (t) ranges of 11 to 14,1.1 to 5.3,and 7.9 to 9.9,respectively.This evolutionary trend broadly resembles those documented in the sedimentary strata along the southeastern margin of the Yangtze Craton and within the Jiangnan orogenic belt,indicating that the whole South China block underwent a mantle-input related tectono-magmatic event at ~0.8 Ga or earlier.However,the Huangling-Shennongjia area is discriminated from the other two regions by highly variable model ages (~1.5-2.7 Ga) and Nd (t) values (1.38-12.0) of the early Mesoproterozoic strata.Combined with the Archean model ages of the late Mesoproterozoic strata,it is suggested that the Mesoproterozoic sedimentary provenance of the Yangtze continental nucleus was distinct from that of the southeastern Yangtze Craton,likely indicative of an intervening aulacogen (or rift zone) or oceanic basin.In addition,the high comparability in Neoproterozoic to Paleozoic Nd isotope stratigraphy between the Yangtze Craton and the Jiangnan orogenic belt infers that the whole South China block had shared the same sedimentary basin and provenance since the Yangtze-Cathaysia welding at ~0.9 Ga.Thus,it is proposed that the Yangtze Craton had comprised a collage of micro-continents during the pre-Neoproterozoic until the Rodinia assemblage when the primitive South China block was formed.BAI Xiao LING WenLi DUAN RuiChun QIU XiaoFei LIU ChengXin KUANG Hua GAO YongJuan ZHOU Lian CHEN ZiWan LU Shah-Song 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,11:8
3MTERF3 contributes to MPP+-induced mitochondrial dysfunction in SH-SY5Y cells显示文摘Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a neurodegenerative disorder causing severe social and economic burdens.The origin of PD has been usually attributed to mitochondrial dysfunction.To this end,mitochondrial transcription regulators become attractive subjects for understanding PD pathogenesis.Previously,we found that the expression of mitochondrial transcription termination factor 3(MTERF3)was reduced in MPP+-induced mice model of PD.In the present study,we probe the function of MTERF3 and its role in MPP+-induced cellular model of PD.Initially,we observe that MTERF3 expression is also reduced in MPP+-induced cellular model of PD,which can be mainly attributed to the increase of MTERF3 degradation.Next,we examine the effect of MTERF3 knockdown and overexpression on the replication,transcription,and translation of mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA).We show that knockdown and overexpression of MTERF3 have opposite effects on mtDNA transcript level but similar effects on mtDNA expression level,in line with MTERF3’s dual roles in mtDNA transcription and translation.In addition,we examine the effect of MTERF3 knockdown and overexpression on mitochondrial function with and without MPP+treatment,and find that MTERF3 seems to play a generally protective role in MPP+-induced mitochondrial dysfunction.Together,this work suggests a regulatory role of MTERF3 in MPP+-induced cellular model of PD and may provide clues in designing novel therapeutics against PD.Shun Zhu Nan Xu Yanyan Han Xiaofei Ye Ling Yang Ji Zuo Wen Liu 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,8:2

6China requires region-specific manure treatment and recycling technologies显示文摘Heterogenous distribution of crops,feed and livestock across China has halted the circulation of nutrients within the agricultural system and is responsible for massive nutrient losses[1,2].Generated livestock manure exceeded optimal crop requirements in 30%and 50%of over 2300 studied counties when there was improved recycling of nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)in the food chain,repectively[2].Most of these counties are located in southern and coastal areas,whereas there is a deficit of livestock manure in northern and western China.Such heterogenous distribution of crop-livestock production led to 4.0 Tg manure N and 0.9 Tg manure P[2],which are economically impossible to recycle and will end up in the surrounding environment.In addition,about 40%of feed protein consumed by domestic livestock production relied on importation,putting China’s livestock production supply at high risk in the post pandemic world[3].Hence,China is facing the twin issues of too many manure nutrients but too little feed nutrients simultaneously.Zhaohai Bai Xuan Wang Xiaofei Wu Weishuai Wang Ling Liu Xiaohang Zhang Xiangwen Fan Lin Ma 2021Circular Agricultural Systems2021,1,1:1
7Decoupled Ce-Nd Isotopic Systematics of the Neoproterozoic Huangling Intrusive Complex and Its Geological Significance, Eastern Three Gorges, South China显示文摘Cerium is one of multivalent rear earth elements, which can transfer from trivalence to tretavalence at oxidizing environment. This process may cause variable degrees of fractionation of Ce from other trivalent rear earth elements, and thus may provide specific insight into the geological processes associated with marked redoxomorphism. Multiple geochemical tracing of Sr-Nd-Ce isotopes are performed on the felsic and mafic intrusives of the Neoproterozoic(~800 Ma) Huangling complex located at the eastern Three Gorges, South China. The intrusive rocks exclusively show various extents of negative Ce anomalies. On the εCe-εNd plot, most samples from the mafic intrusions scatter within the second quadrant, whereas those from the felsic intrusions within the fourth Quadrant. Both of the two groups exhibit relatively large range of ?Ce(t) variation but limited ?Nd(t) range, which cause a deviation from the 'crustal array' and reveal a decoupled Nd-Ce isotope correlation. The intermediate-felsic suite have varied Ce/Ce* ratios but broadly proximate εCe(t) values, indicating that their negative Ce anomalies were generated during the magmatism; on the contrary, a positive correlation between εCe(t) and Ce/Ce* is observed for the intermediate-mafic suite, an indication of an origin of post-magmatic alteration or metamorphism for their Ce anomalies. Calculation of model age, the occurrence age of negative Ce anomalies(TCe) for the intermediate-mafic samples infers that the alteration events took place >350 Ma. Data showed that negative Ce anomalies of the felsic intrusions may reflect an increase of oxygen fugacity during magma ascending, rather than an inheritance from their source rocks. 8Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND 9Foldable Units and Wing Expansion of the Oakleaf Butterfly During Eclosion显示文摘Eclosion is a rapid process of morphological changes in insects,especially for the wings of butterflies.The orange oakleaf butterfly(Kallima inachus)transits from pupae to adults with a 9.3 fold instant increase in the surface area of their wings.To explore the mechanism for the rapid morphological changes in butterfly wings,we analyzed changes in microstructures in the wings of K.inachus.We found that there were lots of micron-sized foldable units in the wings at the pupal stage.The foldable units could provide as much as 31.35 times of increase in wing surface area.During eclosion,foldable units were flattened sequentially and resulted in a rapid increase in wing surface areas.The unfolding process was regulated by the structures and layouts of wing veins.Based on our observation,foldable units play important roles in both deformation and stretching of wings.The foldable units of microstructures may provide mimics for simulating entities of large-deformational bionic structures with practical application.Jinwen Zhang Xiaoming Chen Qin Lu Jinguo Liu Xiaofei Ling Weiwei Wang Pengfei Liu Hang Chen 2022Journal of Bionic Engineering2022,19,3:0
10凋落物年龄和氮、磷添加交互作用对杉木林土壤N_(2)O排放的影响显示文摘氧化亚氮(N_(2)O)是一种重要的温室气体,增温潜势较大,其浓度增加影响全球气候变化。由于凋落物分解影响碳和养分循环,土壤N_(2)O排放受凋落物分解作用,而凋落物年龄和氮、磷添加影响凋落物分解,潜在影响土壤N_(2)O的排放。然而,凋落物年龄和养分添加对土壤N_(2)O排放的交互作用及其机制目前还没有报道,这限制了凋落物分解对N_(2)O排放的影响评价。本研究以杉木(Cunninghamia lanceolata)不同年龄凋落物为研究对象,通过氮、磷添加处理,研究了养分和凋落物年龄对N_(2)O排放的影响及其机制。研究结果显示,幼龄凋落物主要通过调节碳氮比来影响N_(2)O排放。氮添加主要通过调节凋落物碳氮比、土壤pH以及与N_(2)O产生相关的微生物功能基因所编码的土壤酶活性来影响N_(2)O排放,整体上促进N_(2)O排放。磷添加显著降低凋落物碳氮比,进而作用于N_(2)O排放,该途径促进N_(2)O排放。同时,磷添加提高土壤有效磷水平,潜在降低N_(2)O排放,整体上降低土壤N_(2)O排放。凋落物年龄和养分添加交互作用于土壤N_(2)O排放。因此,在森林经营管理中,评价不同管理措施,尤其是间伐和选择性砍伐等导致不同凋落物输入的管理活动对土壤N_(2)O排放的影响时,应同时考虑养分输入和凋落物年龄的潜在影响。Shuli Wang Xi Yuan Ling Zhang Fusheng Chen Xiangmin Fang Xiaojun Liu Bangliang Deng Nasir Shad Wenyuan Zhang Xiaofei Hu Xiaomin Guo Evan Siemann 2022Journal of Plant Ecology2022,15,4:0
