| 1 | Precise nanomedicine for intelligent therapy of cancer显示文摘Precise nanomedicine has been extensively explored for efficient cancer imaging and targeted cancer therapy, as evidenced by a few breakthroughs in their preclinical and clinical explorations. Here, we demonstrate the recent advances of intelligent cancer nanomedicine, and discuss the comprehensive understanding of their structure-function relationship for smart and efficient cancer nanomedicine including various imaging and therapeutic applications, as well as nanotoxicity. In particular, a few emerging strategies that have advanced cancer nanomedicine are also highlighted as the emerging focus such as tumor imprisonment, supramolecular chemotherapy, and DNA nanorobot. The challenge and outlook of some scientific and engineering issues are also discussed in future development. | 3 | The influence of different underlying surface on sand-duststorm in northern China显示文摘In thispaper,a quantitative research on the relationship between differentunderlying surface and sand-duststorm has been made by using 40 years meteorologicaldata offive differenttypes of underlying surface in northern China,which include farmland,grassland,sandland,gobiand saltcrust. These metrologicaldata comprise sand-duststorm days and strong wind days.By analyzing,we can find that there are certain correlations between the days of sand-dust storm and strong wind for differentunderlying surface,which has greatinfluence on sand-duststorm.Butthere are pronounced differences in differenttypes ofunderlying surface.The sand-duststorm days ofgrassland,gobiand saltcrust,with smallerinterannualvariation are obviously less than strong wind days.On the other hand,the sand-duststorm days offarmland and sandland increase evidently,even in many years,are much more than strong wind days.The differencesare mainly induced by the influencing mechanism of different underlying surface on sand-dust storm. Grassland, gobi and salt crust with stable underlying surface are not prone to sand-dust storm under strong wind condition. | 5 | Impact of copy number of distinct SV40PolyA segments on expression of a GFP reporter gene显示文摘The presence of Alu repeats downregulates the expression of the green fluorescent protein(GFP) gene.We found that SV40PolyA(PolyA,240 bp),in either orientation,eliminated the inhibition of GFP gene expression induced by Alu repeats when it was placed between the GFP gene and the Alu repeats.In this study,4 different segments(each 60 bp) were amplified from antisense PolyA(PolyAas) by PCR,and inserted upstream of Alu14 in pAlu14 plasmid(14 Alu repeats inserted downstream of the GFP gene in vector pEGFP-C1 in a head-tail tandem manner).Segments 1F1R(the first 60 bp segment at the 5' end of PolyAas) and 4F4R(the fourth 60 bp segment from the 5' end of PolyAas) did not activate GFP gene expression,whereas 2F2R and 3F3R(the middle two segments) did(as detected by Northern blot analysis and fluorescent microscopy).Different copy numbers of 2F2R and 3F3R segments,in a head and tail tandem manner,were inserted downstream of the GFP gene in pAlu14.p2F2R*4-Alu28,p3F3R*4-Alu18 and p3F3R*4-Alu28 were used as length controls to verify that the decrease in the expression of GFP was not due to the increased length of the inserted segment in the expression vectors.We found that 2 and 4 copies of 2F2R or 3F3R activated the GFP gene more strongly than one copy of them.However,more than 8 copies of 2F2R or 3F3R reduced the activation of the GFP gene.We concluded that SV40PolyAas contained at least two gene-activating elements(2F2R and 3F3R) and 2-4 copies of 2F2R or 3F3R were optimal for the expression of the GFP gene. | YIN Kang,WANG XiuFang,MA Huan,XIE Ying,FENG JingJing,YANG QinQing & Lü ZhanJun Hebei Key Lab of Laboratory Animal,Department of Genetics,Hebei Medical University,Shijiazhuang 050017,China | 2010 | Science China(Life Sciences)2010,53,5: | 2 |

| 7 | Bird nest-like zinc oxide nanostructures for sensitive electrochemical glucose biosensor显示文摘In this research,a novel bird nest-like zinc oxide(BN-ZnO)nanostructures were prepared by a simple solvothermal method.A sensitive electrochemical glucose biosensor was for the first time developed based on the immobilization of glucose oxidase(GOx)on nanostructured BN-ZnO modified electrode.The BN-ZnO nanostructure and the resultant biosensor were characterized by scanning electron microscope,X-ray diffraction spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.BN-ZnO nanostructures have large specific surface area and can load large amounts of GOx molecules.Meanwhile,BN-ZnO provides an excellent microenvironment to retain the native bioactivity of enzymes and to promote direct electron transfer between GOx and electrode surface.The proposed biosensor shows a wide linear range of 0.005–1.6 mmol/L,high sensitivity of15.6 mA L mol^(-1)cm^(-2)with a low detection limit of 0.004 mmol/L.The resulting biosensor also shows excellent selectivity,acceptable stability and reproducibility,and can be successfully applied in the detection of glucose in human serum samples at-0.37 V. | Feng Shi Jinming Xu Zhongfang Hu Chuanli Ren Yadong Xue Yongcai Zhang Juan Li Chengyin Wang Zhanjun Yang | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,10: | 1 |

| 12 | Alkoxy substituted benzodithiophene-alt-fluorobenzotriazole copolymer as donor in non-fullerene polymer solar cells显示文摘A new benzodithiophene(BDT)-alt-fluorobenzotriazole(FBTA) D-A copolymer J40 was designed and synthesized by introducing 2-octyldodecyloxy side chains on its BDT units, for expanding the family of the BDT- alt-FBTA-based copolymers and investigating the side chain effect on the photovoltaic performance of the polymer in non-fullerene polymer solar cells(PSCs).J40 exhibits complementary absorption spectra and matched electronic energy levels with the n-type organic semiconductor(n-OS)(3,9-bis(2-methylene-(3-(1,1-dicyanomethylene)-indanone))-5,5,11,11-tetrakis(4-hexylphenyl)-dithieno[2,3-d:2′,3′-d′]-sindaceno[1,2-b:5,6-b′]dithiophene)(ITIC) acceptor, and was used as polymer donor in the non-fullerene PSCs with ITIC as acceptor. The power conversion efficiency(PCE) of the PSCs based on J40:ITIC(1:1, w/w) with thermal annealing at 120 °C for 10 min reached 6.48% with a higher open-circuit voltage(Voc) of 0.89 V. The high Voc of the PSCs is benefitted from the lower-lying highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO) energy level of J40. Although the photovoltaic performance of the polymer J40 with alkoxy side chain is lower than that of J60 and J61 with alkylthio-thienyl conjugated side chains, the PCE of6.48% for the J40-based device is still a relatively higher photovoltaic efficiency in the non-fullerene PSCs reported so far. | 13 | Antifertility Effects of Orally Administration of Low Dose Gossypol Acetic Acid Combined with Methyltestosterone Plus Ethinyl Estradiol on Male Rat显示文摘Objective To investigate the feasibility and optimal regimen of orally administration of low dose gossypol acetic acid(GA) combined with methyltestosterone(MT) plus ethinyl estradiol(EE) for contraception in males. Methods Wistar male rats were randomly assigned into four groups,20 in each group. Animals in group A or B were administered daily with 1% methyl cellulose or GA(12 mg/kg) suspended in 1% methyl cellulose,respectively. Rats in group C or D took firstly GA 12 mg/kg+MT 20 mg/kg+EE 0.1 mg/kg or MT 20 mg/kg+EE 0.1 mg/kg,in a suspension with 1% methyl cellulose,via gastric intubation. After the infertilities were initiated(6 weeks for group C,8 weeks for group D) ,GA was served alone while MT+EE were withdrawn in rats of groups C and D. The treatment was ceased after 18 weeks and some males from group C were permitted to recover. Fertility testing,10 males per group,was served for determining infertility or restoration of fertility in treated rats. Examinations of histology and biochemistry in treated rats were used to examine the morphologic influences on sperm,testis,epididymides and viscera,and biochemical changes in blood. The growth and development of F1 generation of the rats would also be tested in a series of behavioral tests. Results Ten rats from group C were infertile at week 6 after treatment,and the fulfilled infertility was maintained with low-dose GA(12 mg/kg) only daily. Six weeks after cessation of treatment,all of treated males recovered their fertility. However,8 of 10 rats from group D were in sterility at 6th week of treatment and all at 8th week oftreatment,but the infertility could not be kept with the similar dose GA alone later on. Moreover,no adverse effects were found in our present experiments. Conclusion Administration of oral low dose GA combined with MT and EE as loading dose could successfully induce infertility in short term,whereafter the efficacy could completely be maintained by similar low dose of GA alone for long term.
