| 1 | Approaches to establish Q-markers for the quality standards of traditional Chinese medicines显示文摘Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has played a pivotal role in maintaining the health of Chinese people and is now gaining increasing acceptance around the global scope. However, TCM is confronting more and more concerns with respect to its quality. The intrinsic 'multicomponent and multitarget' feature of TCM necessitates the establishment of a unique quality and bioactivity evaluation system, which is different from that of the Western medicine. However, TCM is investigated essentially as'herbal medicine' or 'natural product', and the pharmacopoeia quality monographs are actually chemicalmarkers-based, which can ensure the consistency only in the assigned chemical markers, but, to some extent, have deviated from the basic TCM theory. A concept of 'quality marker'(Q-marker), following the 'property-effect-component' theory, is proposed. The establishment of Q-marker integrates multidisciplinary technologies like natural products chemistry, analytical chemistry, bionics, chemometrics,pharmacology, systems biology, and pharmacodynamics, etc. Q-marker-based fingerprint and multicomponent determination conduce to the construction of more scientific quality control system of TCM.This review delineates the background, definition, and properties of Q-marker, and the associated technologies applied for its establishment. | 2 | The Abnormal High Expression of B Cell Activating Factor Belonging to TNF Superfamily (BAFF) and Its Potential Role in Kidney Transplant Recipients显示文摘B cell activating factor belonging to TNF superfamily (BAFF) is a critical regulator of B cell maturation and survival. In this present study, the expression characteristic of BAFF in kidney transplantation recipients was investigated, its potential significance was analyzed and peripheral blood of follow-up kidney transplant recipients was studied. Flow cytometric assay results showed that, cell-surface BAFF was significantly highly expressed on peripheral CD3+ T lymphocytes in ≥ 5 yrs group of kidney transplant recipients, compared with other groups (p < 0.05). BAFF expression could be found on CD4+ T cells and CD8+ T cells. The BAFF mRNA levels in peripheral mononuclear cells were consistent with the protein levels. However, serum soluble BAFF levels were inter-individually different in each group. Stratified by renal function, it was found that cell-surface BAFF levels were significantly higher in those with abnormal renal function, compared with recipients with normal renal function (p < 0.05). ELISA assay results showed that expression levels of cell surface BAFF were significantly correlated with anti-HLA Ⅰ & Ⅱ antibodies. | 3 | Preparation of Zn/TiO_2 powder and its photocatalytic performance for oxidation of P-nitrophenol显示文摘Zn-doped TiO_2 catalysts were prepared using a sol-gel method and characterized by XPS,UV-Vis,BET, XRD in this study.Under the irradiation of simulant sunlight,the photocatalytic activity for the degradation of p-nitrophenol was studied too.After irradiation for 2.5 h,the degradation percentage of p-nitrophenol could rise to more than 80%.The results showed that the spectrum absorption band edge of Zn/TiO_2 powder does not broaden obviously comparing with pure TiO_2 powder.Zinc exists as Zn (Ⅱ).When calcined at 973 K,there is a new phase as ZnTiO_3 in Zn/TiO_2 catalyst.The order of photocatalytic activity of Zn/TiO_2 catalysts calcined at different temperatures for p-nitrophenol is 773 K>673 K>873 K>573 K>973 K and the photocatalytic activity of Zn/TiO_2 catalyst cal- cined at 773 K is better than TiO_2 catalysts heated at the same temperature,and outclasses that of commercial TiO_2 catalyst.It also showed that the photocatalytic degradation of p-nitrophenol follows first-order kinetics under the irra- diation of simulant sunlight. | LIU Xiuhua XU Yunshu ZHONG Zhijing FU Yibei DENG Yi | 2007 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2007,18,1: | 2 |

| 7 | Characteristics and expression of the TCP transcription factors family in Allium senescens reveal its potential roles in drought stress responses显示文摘Allium senescens,is an important economic and ecological grassland plant with drought-resistant characteristics.A TCP protein transcription factor is important in the regulation of plant development and adverse responses.However,the mechanism by which TCP transcription functions in drought resistance in Allium senescens is still not clear.Here,we obtained a total of 190,305 transcripts with 115,562 single gene clusters based on RNA-Seq sequencing of Allium senescens under drought stress.The total number of bases was 97,195,096 bp,and the average length was 841.06 bp.Furthermore,we found that there were eight genes of the TCP family that showed an upregulated expression trend under drought stress in Allium senescens.We carried out an investigation to determine the evolution and function of the AsTCP family and how they produce an effect in drought resistance.The 14 AsTCP genes were confirmed and divided into class I and class II containing CIN and CYC/TBI subfamilies,respectively.We also found that the expression of AsTCP17 was remarkably upregulated with drought treatment.Besides,the transformation of AsTCP17 in Arabidopsis revealed that the protective enzymes,namely polyphenol oxidase(POD)and superoxide dismutase(SOD),were increased by 0.4 and 0.8 times,respectively.Chlorophyll content was also increased,while the H2O2 and malondialdehyde(MDA)contents were decreased.Staining assays with 3,3′-diaminobenzidine(DAB)also suggested that the AsTCP17 downregulates reactive oxygen species(ROS)accumulation.In addition,overexpression of the AsTCP17 affected the accumulation of drought-related hormones in plants,and the synthesis of ABA.The expression of AtSVP and AtNCED3,related ABA synthesis pathway genes,indicated that the level of expression of AtSVP and AtNCED3 was obviously enhanced,with the overexpression of line 6 showing a 20.6-fold and 7.0-fold increase,respectively.Taken together,our findings systematically analyze the AsTCPs family at the transcriptome expression level in Allium senescens,and we also demonstrated that AsTCP17 protein,as a positive regulator,was involved in drought resistance of Allium senescens.In addition,our research contributes to the comprehensive understanding of the drought stress defense mechanism in herbaceous plants. | XIAOHONG FU JIE ZHAO DANDAN CAO CHENGXING HE ZIYI WANG YIBEI JIANG JIANFENG LIU GUIXIA LIU | 2023 | BIOCELL2023,47,4: | 0 |
| 8 | Novel phthalimides regulating PD-1/PD-L1 interaction as potential immunotherapy agents显示文摘Programmed cell death 1(PD-1)/programmed cell death ligand 1(PD-L1)have emerged as one of the most promising immune checkpoint targets for cancer immunotherapy.Despite the inherent advantages of small-molecule inhibitors over antibodies,the discovery of small-molecule inhibitors has fallen behind that of antibody drugs.Based on docking studies between small molecule inhibitor and PD-L1 protein,changing the chemical linker of inhibitor from a flexible chain to an aromatic ring may improve its binding capacity to PD-L1 protein,which was not reported before.A series of novel phthalimide derivatives from structure-based rational design was synthesized.P39 was identified as the best inhibitor with promising activity,which not only inhibited PD-1/PD-L1 interaction(IC_(50)=8.9 nmol/L),but also enhanced killing efficacy of immune cells on cancer cells.Co-crystal data demonstrated that P39 induced the dimerization of PD-L1 proteins,thereby blocking the binding of PD-1/PD-L1.Moreover,P39 exhibited a favorable safety profile with a LD_(50)>5000 mg/kg and showed significant in vivo antitumor activity through promoting CD8^(+)T cell activation.All these data suggest that P39 acts as a promising small chemical inhibitor against the PD-1/PD-L1 axis and has the potential to improve the immunotherapy efficacy of T-cells. | Chengliang Sun Yao Cheng Xiaojia Liu Gefei Wang Wenjian Min Xiao Wang Kai Yuan Yi Hou Jiaxing Li Haolin Zhang Haojie Dong Liping Wang Chenguang Lou Yanze Sun Xinmiao Yu Hongbin Deng Yibei Xiao Peng Yang | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,12: | 0 |
| 9 | Photocatalytic degradation of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene显示文摘A Pt/TiO2 photocatalyst was used in the photocatalytic degradation of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) under the irradiation of the simulated sunlight. The results show that the destruction of TNT is faster and more complete with the photocatalyst. The photocatalytic degradation of TNT follows first order kinet-ics. The transformation of nitryl groups of TNT molecules into nitrite and nitrate ions may be acceler-ated in the presence of the Pt/TiO2 photocatalyst.
