Experimental and Numerical Investigation on Erosion Corrosion of the Air Cooler Tube Bundle in a Residue Hydrotreating Unit显示文摘Corrosion leakage occurred in the 14th tube bundle in the first row of a residual oil hydrotreating air cooler after operating for two years. The failure location was 0.5 m from the outlet header box.In this paper, the erosion corrosion of the air cooler tube bundle was investigated by experimental and numerical methods.Visual inspection, scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and X-ray diffraction(XRD)experiments were performed, and the failure morphology and material composition confirmed that the damage was caused by erosion corrosion. The shear stress transport k–ωturbulence model(SST-k–ω)was then used to investigate the flow and erosion corrosion characteristics, combined with mass transfer, corrosion rate, and ionization equilibrium models. The numerical simulation results revealed that the water phase volume fraction increased with flow and heat transfer in the fluid, which increased the mass flow rate and concentration of hydrogen sulfide. The mass transfer coefficient and corrosion rate were proposed as important parameters to characterize erosion corrosion. Moreover, the local concentration of wall shear stress was found to increase the risk of erosion corrosion. The predicted high-risk area was consistent with the actual failure area, which verified that this failure incident was attributable to erosion corrosion by the water phase. | Jin Haozhe Yu Chenyang Gu Youjie Qian Guangwei Liu Xiaofei Ou Guofu Jia Yongna | 2022 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2022,24,4: | 2

Interlayer and doping engineering in partially graphitic hollow carbon nanospheres for fast sodium and potassium storage显示文摘Constructing anodes with fast ions/electrons transfer paths is an effective strategy to achieve high-performance sodium ion batteries(SIBs)/potassium ion batteries(PIBs). Amorphous carbon is a promising candidate anode for SIBs/PIBs owing to its disordered carbon layers, abundant defects/pores, and lowcost resources. However, the larger radius of Na^(+)/K^(+) leading to depressed kinetics and poor cycling performance, impeding their further applications. Herein, we propose an efficient strategy to construct of nitrogen, sulfur co-doped hollow carbon nanospheres(NS-HCS) involving an in situ growth of polydopamine on nano-Ni(OH)2template with subsequent sulfur doping process. During the formation process, the produced Ni nanospheres play as the hard template and catalyst for the formation of hollow carbon nanosphere with partially graphite microcrystalline structure, while the sulfur doping process can enlarge the interlayer space and create more defects on the surface of carbon nanospheres, thus synchronous improve the Na^(+)/K^(+) insertion and adsorption ability in NS-HCS. With the synergistic control of the enlarged interlayer spacing, high content of pyridinic N/pyrrolic N and graphitization, a hybrid storage mechanism facilitates the transport kinetics and endows the NS-HCS electrode with high capacities and good cycling stability in SIBs and PIB. Benefit from the multiple effects, NS-HCS exhibits the improved capacity of 274.8 m Ah/g at 0.1 A/g and excellent cycling stability of 149.5 m Ah/g after 5000 cycles at2.5A/g in SIBs, as well as good potassium ion storage behavior with a high capacity retention of 76.5%after 700 cycles at 1.0 A/g, demonstrating the potential applications of NS-HCS for high-performance SIBs and PIBs. | Dongfei Sun Sen Lin Dandan Yu Zijuan Wang Fangfang Deng Xiaozhong Zhou Guofu Ma Ziqiang Lei | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,2: | 0
Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 6 | OsNPF3.1,a member of the NRT1/PTR family, increases nitrogen use efficiency and biomass production in rice显示文摘The overuse of nitrogen(N)fertilizer in fields has increased production costs and raised environmental concerns.Increasing the N use efficiency(NUE)of rice varieties is crucial for sustainable agriculture. Here we report the cloning and characterization of OsNPF3.1,a gene that controls rice NUE.An amino acid mutation in the OsNPF3.1 coding region caused different NUEs in wild and cultivated rice.OsNPF3.1,which is expressed mainly in the aerial parts of rice, also affects rice plant height, heading date, and thousand-grain weight. The OsNPF3.1 protein is located in the plasma membrane. When OsNPF3.1 was subjected to artificial selection, two naturally varying loci were associated with NUE,of which OsNPF3.1Chr6_8741040differed between indica and japonica rice.OsNPF3.1 can be used as a new target gene for breeding rice varieties with high NUE. | Xinghai Yang Baoxuan Nong Can Chen Junrui Wang Xiuzhong Xia Zongqiong Zhang Yu Wei Yu Zeng Rui Feng Yanyan Wu Hui Guo Haifeng Yan Yuntao Liang Shuhui Liang Yong Yan Danting Li Guofu Deng | 2023 | The Crop Journal2023,11,1: | 0

Validation of the Red Pericarp Gene from 419 Rice Landraces in Guangxi via Genome-wide Association Studies显示文摘Rice has different colors of pericarp, such as red, white and black. Red rice pericarp is rich in proanthocyanins, which have antioxidant properties and are beneficial to human health. In the present study,we analyzed the red-pericarp gene Rc of 419 rice landraces in Guangxi by genome-wide association study( GWAS),and validated that the Rc gene regulated the red pericarp trait in rice. By analyzing the genomic DNA of 97 red-pericarp rice cultivars,we identified two new alleles in C139 and C323. Then, the exons of Rc^(C139) and Rc^(C323) were sequenced with Sanger method, and the results demonstrated that the natural mutations within Rc gene resulted in the two alleles Rc^(C139) and Rc^(C323). | Zongqiong ZHANG Xinghai YANG Baoxuan NONG Xiuzhong XIA Yu ZENG Kaiqiang LIU Guofu DENG Danting LI | 2017 | Agricultural Biotechnology2017,6,3: | 0
Low-temperature and flexible strategy to in-situ fabricate ZrSiO_(4)-based ceramic composites via doping and tuning solid-state reaction显示文摘Synthetic zircon(ZrSiO_(4))ceramics are typically fabricated at elevated temperatures(over 1500℃),which would lead to high manufacturing cost.Meanwhile, reports about preparing ZrSiO_(4)-based ceramic composites via controlling the solid-state reaction between zirconia(ZrO_(2))and silica(SiO_(2))are limited. In this work,we proposed a low-temperature strategy to flexibly design and fabricate ZrSiO_(4)-based ceramic composites via doping and tuning the solid-state reaction. Two ceramic composites and ZrSiO_(4) ceramics were in-situ prepared by reactive fast hot pressing(FHP)at approximately 1250℃ based on the proposed strategy,i.e.,a ZrSiO_(4)-SiO_(2) dual-phase composite with bicontinuous interpenetrating and hierarchical microstructures,a ZrSiO_(4)-ZrO_(2) dual-phase composite with a microstructure of ZrO_(2) submicron-and nano-particles embedded in a micron ZrSiO_(4) matrix, and ZrSiO_(4) ceramics with a small amount of residual ZrO_(2) nanoparticles. The results showed that the phase compositions, microstructure configurations, mechanical properties, and wear resistance of the materials can be flexibly regulated by the proposed strategy.Hence,ZrSiO_(4)-based ceramic composites with different properties can be easily fabricated based on different application scenarios. These findings would offer useful guidance for researchers to flexibly fabricate ZrSiO_(4)-based ceramic composites at low temperatures and tailor their microstructures and properties through doping and tuning the solid-state reaction. | Bohan Wang Le Fu Junjie Song Wenjun Yu Ying Deng Guofu Xu Jiwu Huang Wei Xia | 2023 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,6: | 0
