1Carbon storage in evergreen broad-leaf forests in mid-subtropical region of China at four succession stages显示文摘To better understand the effect of forest succession on carbon sequestration, we investigated carbon stock and allocation of evergreen broadleaf forest, a major zonal forest in subtropical China.We sought to quantify the carbon sequestration potential.We sampled four forest types,shrub(SR), pine(Pinus massoniana) forest(PF), pine and broadleaf mixed forest(MF) and evergreen broadleaf forest(BF).A regression equation was constructed using tree height and diameter at breast height(DBH) and elements of total tree biomass.The equation was subsequently utilized to estimate tree carbon storage.The carbon storage of understory, litter, and soil was also estimated.Carbon storage in biomass increased significantly from the early succession stage SR(6.21 t ha-1) to the late stage BF(134.87 t ha-1).The biomass carbon stock of forest layers generally increased with succession except for the understory.The soil organic carbon storage for the total profile increased with forest succession, from 51.16 to 90.49 t ha-1, but the contribution of SOC to the carbon stock of the forest ecosystem declined from 89.18% to 40.15%.The carbon stock at ecosystem scale increased significantly with succession from SR(57.37 t ha-1), to PF(154.20 t ha-1), to MF(170.96 t ha-1)and to BF(225.36 t ha-1), with carbon stock of BF3.93 times that of SR.The forests in our study have great potential for increasing carbon sequestration, and large areas of secondary or degraded evergreen broadleaf forests in the subtropical zone of China could be a great carbon sink in future.ZENG Zhangquan WANG Silong ZHANG Canming GONG Chao HU Qing 2013Journal of Forestry Research2013,24,4:17
2Enabling an intrinsically safe and high-energy-density 4.5 V-class Li-ion battery with nonflammable electrolyte显示文摘Developing nonflammable electrolyte with a wide electrochemical window has become an urgent demand for high-energy-density and high-safe lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).Herein,a fluorinated nonflammable phosphate electrolyte is developed to construct a safe 4.5 V-class LIB(Si-SiC-C/0.35Li2MnO3-0.65LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2).The proposed fluorinated phosphate electrolyte,0.8 M LiPF6/tris(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)phosphate(TFEP)+5 vol%fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)+5 vol%vinylene carbonate(VC),is not only completely nonflammable but also exhibits excellent oxidative/reductive stability on 0.35Li2MnO30.65LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 cathode and Si-SiC-C anode.The in situ differential electrochemical mass spectrometry and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy proved that TFEP-based electrolyte does not decompose into gases but forms a high-quality electrode-electrolyte interface on cathode surface at high working potential.The 4.5 V-class LIBs using 0.8 M LiPF6 TFEP-based nonflammable electrolyte shed some light on potential application for high-safe and low-cost larger-scale energy storage.Ziqi Zeng Xingwei Liu Xiaoyu Jiang Zhenjie Liu Zhangquan Peng Xiangming Feng Weihua Chen Dingguo Xia Xinping Ai Hanxi Yang Yuliang Cao 2020InfoMat2020,2,5:6
3Soil microbial activity and nutrients of evergreen broad-leaf forests in mid-subtropical region of China显示文摘To better understand the effects of forest succession on soil microbial activity, a comparison of soil microbial properties and nutrients was conducted between three forest types representing a natural forest succession chronosequence. The study compared a pine(Pinus massoniana) forest(P_F), a pine and broadleaf mixed forest(M_F) and an evergreen broadleaf forest(B_F), in the Yingzuijie Biosphere Reserve, Hunan Province, China.Results showed that soil nutrients in the M_Fand BFplots were higher than in the P_Fplots. The range in microbial biomass carbon followed a similar pattern with B_Fhaving the greatest values, 522–1022 mg kg^-1, followed by M_F368–569 mg kg^-1, and finally, P_F193–449 mg kg^-1. Soil nutrients were more strongly correlated with microbial biomass carbon than basal respiration or metabolic quotient. 7Strongly coupled Te-SnS_(2)/MXene superstructure with self-autoadjustable function for fast and stable potassium ion storage显示文摘Potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)are a promising candidate for next-generation electric energy storage applications because of the abundance and low cost of potassium.However,the development of PIBs is limited by sluggish kinetics and huge volume expansion of anodes,leading to poor rate capability and cycling stability.Herein,an advanced superstructure anode,including Te-doped SnS_(2) nanosheets uniformly anchored on MXene surface(Te-SnS_(2)/MXene),is rationally designed for the first time to boost K^(+)storage performance.Featuring with strong interface interaction and self-autoadjustable interlayer spacings,the Te-SnS_(2)/MXene can efficiently accelerate electron/ion transfer,accommodate volume expansion,inhibit crack formation,and improve pseudocapacitive contribution during cycling.Thus,the novel Te-SnS_(2)/MXene anode delivers a high reversible capacity(343.2 mAh g^(-1) after 50 cycles at0.2 A g^(-1)),outstanding rate capability(186.4 mAh g^(-1) at 20 A g^(-1)),long cycle stability(165.8 mAh g^(-1)after 5000 cycles at 10 A g^(-1) with a low electrode swelling rate of only 15.4%),and reliable operation in flexible full battery.The present Te-SnS_(2)/MXene becomes among the best transition metal-based anode materials for PIBs reported to date.Hongyang Sun Yelong Zhang Xiaodan Xu Jianwen Zhou Fan Yang Hao Li Hao Chen Yucheng Chen Zheng Liu Zhenping Qiu Da Wang Lipo Ma Jiawei Wang Qingguang Zeng Zhangquan Peng 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10:2
8Carbon Reserve Characteristics of Arbor Layer in Mid-subtropical Evergreen Broad-leaved Forest显示文摘In this paper, secondary forest of Pinus massoniana , coniferous-broad-leaved mixed forest and broad-leaved evergreen forest were taken as research objects, to explore carbon reserve of arbor layer and its spatial distribution characteristics. At different succession stages, the sequence of organic carbon content in each organ was secondary forest of P. massoniana > coniferous-broad-leaved mixed forest> broad-leaved evergreen forest. Carbon reserve of arbor layer was the highest in broad-leaved evergreen forest, which was 129.34 t/hm 2, followed by coniferous-broad-leaved mixed forest (95.83 t/hm 2), and the minimum was 85.27 t/hm 2 in secondary forest of P. massoniana . In each stand type, the sequence of carbon reserve of each organ in arbor layer was trunk>root>branch>leaf>bark. Carbon reserve of arbor layer mainly concentrated in trunk, and the proportion to carbon reserve of arbor layer declined from secondary forest of P. massoniana to broad-leaved evergreen forest, while it had increasing relationship in root. 9Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND 10Biomass Characteristics of the Arbor Layer in Different Stands of the Evergreen Broad-Leaved Forest显示文摘In this paper, the Pinus massoniana forest in the early stage of succession, the coniferous broad-leaved mixed forest in the middle stage of succession, and the evergreen broad-leaved forest in the late stage of succession were studied, and the biomass and its spatial distribution characteristics of the tree layer in different succession stages of the ecosystem were discussed. The results showed that the biomass of the arbor layer was the highest in the evergreen broad-leaved forest, which was 292.51 t/ hm2, followed by the coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest, which was 206.87 t/hm2, and the Pinus massoniana forest, which was 171.76 t/hm2. The biomass of trunks accounted for the largest proportion in the total biomass of the arbor layer, which reduced from the Pinus massoniana forest to the evergreen broad-leaved forest. The proportion of the biomass of roots in the total biomass of the arbor layer increased from the Pinus massoniana forest to the evergreen broad-leaved forest.
