1Distributed modeling of monthly air temperatures over the rugged terrain of the Yellow River Basin显示文摘Our analyses of the monthly mean air temperature of meteorological stations show that altitude,global solar radiation and surface effective radiation have a significant impact on air temperature.We set up a physically-based empirical model for monthly air temperature simulation.Combined the proposed model with the distributed modeling results of global solar radiation and routine meteorological observation data,we also developed a method for the distributed simulation of monthly air temperatures over rugged terrain.Spatial distribution maps are generated at a resolution of 1 km×1 km for the monthly mean,the monthly mean maximum and the monthly mean minimum air temperatures for the Yellow River Basin.Analysis shows that the simulation results reflect to a considerable extent the macro and local distribution characteristics of air temperature.Cross-validation shows that the proposed model displays good stability with mean absolute bias errors of 0.19℃-0.35℃.Tests carried out on local meteorological station data and case year data show that the model has good spatial and temporal simulation capacity.The proposed model solely uses routine meteorological data and can be applied easily to other regions.ZENG Yan QIU XinFa HE YongJian SHI GuoPing LIU ChangMing 2009Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,5:11

3New Method for Estimating Daily Global Solar Radiation over Sloped Topography in China显示文摘A new scheme for the estimation of daily global solar radiation over sloped topography in China is developed based on the Iqbal model C and MODIS cloud fraction. The effects of topography are determined using a digital elevation model. The scheme is tested using observations of solar radiation at 98 stations in China, and the results show that the mean absolute bias error is 1.51 MJ m^(-2) d^(-1) and the mean relative absolute bias error is 10.57%. Based on calculations using this scheme,the distribution of daily global solar radiation over slopes in China on four days in the middle of each season(15 January,15 April, 15 July and 15 October 2003) at a spatial resolution of 1 km × 1 km are analyzed. To investigate the effects of topography on global solar radiation, the results determined in four mountains areas(Tianshan, Kunlun Mountains, Qinling,and Nanling) are discussed, and the typical characteristics of solar radiation over sloped surfaces revealed. 4Integrated transcriptome analysis of human iPS cells derived from a fragile X syndrome patient during neuronal differentiation显示文摘Fragile X syndrome(FXS) patients carry the expansion of over 200 CGG repeats at the promoter of fragile X mental retardation 1(FMR1), leading to decreased or absent expression of its encoded fragile X mental retardation protein(FMRP). However, the global transcriptional alteration by FMRP deficiency has not been well characterized at single nucleotide resolution, i.e., RNA-seq. Here,we performed in-vitro neuronal differentiation of human induced pluripotent stem(iPS) cells that were derived from fibroblasts of a FXS patient(FXS-iPSC). We then performed RNA-seq and examined the transcriptional misregulation at each intermediate stage during in-vitro differentiation of FXS-iPSC into neurons. After thoroughly analyzing the transcriptomic data and integrating them with those from other platforms, we found up-regulation of many genes encoding TFs for neuronal differentiation(WNT1, BMP4,POU3F4, TFAP2 C, and PAX3), down-regulation of potassium channels(KCNA1, KCNC3, KCNG2, KCNIP4, KCNJ3, KCNK9,and KCNT1) and altered temporal regulation of SHANK1 and NNAT in FXS-iPSC derived neurons, indicating impaired neuronal differentiation and function in FXS patients. 5Fracture identification and evaluation using conventional logs in tight sandstones:A case study in the Ordos Basin,China显示文摘Fractures are of great significance to tight oil and gas development.Fracture identification using conventional well logs is a feasible way to locate the underground fractures in tight sandstones.However,there are three problems affecting its interpretation accuracy and practical application,namely weak well log responses of fractures,a lack of specific logs for fracture prediction,and relative change omission in log responses.To overcome these problems and improve fracture identification accuracy,a fracture indicating parameter(FIP)method composed of a comprehensive index method(CIM)and a comprehensive fractal method(CFM)is introduced.The CIM tries to handle the first problem by amplifying log responses of fractures.The CFM addresses the third one using fractal dimensions.The flexible weight parameters corresponding to logs in the CIM and CFM make the interpretation possible for wells lacking specific logs.The reconstructed logs in the CIM and CFM try to solve the second problem.It is noted that the FIP method can calculate the probability of fracture development at a certain depth,but cannot show the fracture development degree of a new well compared with other wells.In this study,a formation fracture intensity(FFI)method is also introduced to further evaluate fracture development combined with production data.To test the validity of the FIP and FFI methods,fracture identification experiments are implemented in a tight reservoir in the Ordos Basin.The results are consistent with the data of rock core observation and production,indicating the proposed methods are effective for fracture identification and evaluation.Shaoqun Dong Lianbo Zeng Wenya Lyu Dongling Xia Guoping Liu Yue Wu Xiangyi Du 2020Energy Geoscience2020,1,3:2

14Distributed modeling of the beginning and ending dates and durations of limited temperatures over the rugged terrain of Chongqing显示文摘A physically based empirical model was established for the beginning and ending dates(BED) of limited temperatures.Data used were daily mean temperatures from 34 conventional stations in the Chongqing region,measured from 1961 to 2000.Using this model in combination with the distributed modeling results of monthly mean temperatures,we developed a method for creating a distributed simulation of the BED and durations of limited temperatures in the rugged terrain of Chongqing.Spatial distribution maps were generated at a resolution of 100×100 m for the BED and durations of the limited temperatures of 0,10,15 and 20.Simulations suggest that the distributed model is able to successfully reveal the macroscopic trends and local distributions.For the modeled BED,the mean absolute bias error is 0.6-2.4 d. 15Mechanism of Diabatic Heating on Precipitation and the Track of a Tibetan Plateau Vortex over the Eastern Slope of the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Existing studies contend that latent heating(LH)will replace sensible heating(SH)to become the dominant factor affecting the development of the Tibetan Plateau vortex(TPV)after it moves off the Tibetan Plateau(TP).However,in the process of the TPV moving off the TP requires that the airmass traverse the eastern slope of the Tibetan Plateau(ESTP)where the topography and diabatic heating(DH)conditions rapidly change.How LH gradually replaces SH to become the dominant factor in the development of the TPV over the ESTP is still not very clear.In this paper,an analysis of a typical case of a TPV with a long life history over the ESTP is performed by using multi-sourced meteorological data and model simulations.The results show that SH from the TP surface can change the TPV-associated precipitation distribution by temperature advection after the TPV moves off the TP.The LH can then directly promote the development of the TPV and has a certain guiding effect on the track of the TPV.The SH can control the active area of LH by changing the falling area of the TPV-associated precipitation,so it still plays a key role in the development and tracking of the TPV even though it has moved out of the main body of the TP.Yuanchang DONG Guoping LI Xiaolin XIE Long YANG Peiwen ZHANG Bo ZENG 2024Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2024,41,1:0

18Recognition for avian influenza virus proteins based on support vector machine and linear discriminant analysis显示文摘Total 200 properties related to structural characteristics were employed to represent structures of 400 HA coded proteins of influenza virus as training samples. Some recognition models for HA proteins of avian influenza virus (AIV) were developed using support vector machine (SVM) and linear discriminant analysis (LDA). The results obtained from LDA are as follows: the identification accuracy (Ria) for training samples is 99.8% and Ria by leave one out cross validation is 99.5%. Both Ria of 99.8% for training samples and Ria of 99.3% by leave one out cross validation are obtained using SVM model, respectively. External 200 HA proteins of influenza virus were used to validate the external predictive power of the resulting model. 20Controls of strike-slip fault on fractures:Insight from 3D discrete element simulation显示文摘The fracture-cave reservoirs controlled by strike-slip faults are the main targets for oil and gas exploration of ultradeep carbonate in the Tarim Basin.It is of great significance to clarify the distribution rules of fractures related to strike-slip faults for guiding the exploration and development of ultra-deep oil and gas.In this study,six groups of strike-slip fault 3D models based on discrete element numerical simulation method have been created to investigate characteristics of fault-related fracture development and distribution law.In addition,we compared the modeling results to the measurement of fractures from the outcrop of a strike-slip fault in the Northern Tarim Basin to verify their validity.The results show that the stress environment is stable in the simple strike-slip section,and fractures intersecting with the strike-slip direction at a small angle are the principal fracture.In the releasing stepover and double-bend sections,the maximum principal stress changes from horizontal to vertical during the formation of pull-apart zones,where the principal fractures intersect the strike-slip direction at a large angle.The maximum principal stress in the restraining stepover and double-bend section remains horizontal,but their strikes change significantly with the increment of fault displacement.Thus,fractures intersecting the strike-slip direction at a small angle will become principal fractures early on,while those parallel to or anti-intersecting the strike-slip direction at a small angle will become principal fractures later.There are obvious differences in the development of fractures in different structural positions of strike-slip faults.Fractures are mainly concentrated in the fault tips,connections,and fault plane,and the magnitude of the fault damage zone is relatively larger in the first two.Compared with fault displacement,the principal damage zone(PDZ)shows stronger control on the distribution and development intensity of fractures.With the increment of fault displacement,the width of the fault damage zone and the fracture density first rapidly increases before the formation of PDZ and then slows down.Moreover,the formation time of PDZ in the restraining double-bend and stepover section is earlier than the simple strike-slip,releasing double-bend,and releasing stepover sections,and absorb more strain before the formation of the principal displacement zone.Thus,the restraining sections have the highest fracture intensity,followed by the pull-apart sections,then the simple strikeslip section.The results play an important role in understanding the development law of fractures related to strike-slip faults in different arrangements and move modes.Lianbo ZENG Zhe MAO Guoping LIU He TIAN Yingtao YAO Kewei ZU Shaoqun DONG Mehdi OSTADHASSAN 2024Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,1:0
