Evaluation of ENVISAT ASAR data for sea surface wind retrieval in Hong Kong coastal waters of China显示文摘The C-band wind speed retrieval models,CMOD4,CMOD-IFR2,and CMOD5 were applied to retrieval of sea surface wind speeds from ENVISAT(European environmental satellite)ASAR(advanced synthetic aperture radar)data in the coastal waters near Hong Kong during a period from October 2005 to July 2007.The retrieved wind speeds are evaluated by comparing with buoy measurements and the QuikSCAT(quick scatterometer)wind products. The results show that the CMOD4 model gives the best performance at wind speeds lower than 15 m/s.The correlation coefficients with buoy and QuikSCAT winds are 0.781 and 0.896,respectively.The root mean square errors are the same 1.74 m/s.Namely,the CMOD4 model is the best one for sea surface wind speed retrieval from ASAR data in the coastal waters near Hong Kong. | XU Qinga LIN Hui ZHENG Quanan XIU Peng CHENG Yongcun LIU Yuguang | 2008 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2008,27,4: | 7
~1H nuclear magnetic resonance-based metabolomic study on efficacy of Qingrehuatan decoction against abundant phlegm-heat syndrome in young adults with essential hypertension显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe the influence of Qingrehuatan decoction(QRHT) on serum metabolic profile in young essential hypertension(YEH) patients with abundant phlegm-heat syndrome and provide a basis for treatment with the decoction.METHODS: Twelve male YEH patients were randomly selected and serum samples were collected for examination before and after 4 weeks of thetreatment with QRHT. Twelve healthy males were randomly selected and their serum samples were collected as a control. All serum samples were detected using metabolomic technology with1 H nuclear magnetic resonance. Differences in metabolites were studied by principal component analysis and partial least squares-discriminate analysis, which produced scores and loadings plots.RESULTS: After 4 weeks of treatment, serum substances could be distinguished between the YEH patients with abundant phlegm-heat syndrome and the control patients. The specific serum endogenous metabolites tended to improve after the treatment. QRHT can appropriately increase the levels of glucose, lactic acid, citric acid, high-density lipoprotein, phosphatidylcholine, glycerophosphate choline, hydroxybutyrate, alanine, and glutamate.QRHT could also decrease the levels of low-density lipoprotein/very low-density lipoprotein, lipids,N-acetyl glycoprotein, and O-acetyl glycoprotein.CONCLUSION: QRHT can effectively ameliorate metabolic disorders in YEH Patients with abundant phlegm- heat syndrome.1H NMR-based metabolomic technology can provide an objective basis for the treatment of YEH patients with abundant phlegm-heat syndrome using QRHT. | Feng Xuanchao Yang Zheng Chu Yuguang Du Bai Su Mei Li Yi Wang Yinghong Jiang Chunying Hu Yuanhui | 2015 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,1: | 6
Microbial community structure and diversity in deep-sea hydrothermal vent sediments along the Eastern Lau Spreading Centre显示文摘The aim of this study is to investigate microbial structures and diversities in five active hydrothermal fields' sediments along the Eastern Lau Spreading Centre (ELSC) in the Lau Basin (southwest Pacific). Microbial communities were surveyed by denatured gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) and clone library analysis of 16S rRNA genes. The differences in microbial community structures among sediment samples from the five deep-sea hydrothermal sites were revealed by DGGE profiles. Cluster analysis of DGGE profiles separated the five hydrothermal samples into two groups. Four different 16S rRNA gene clone libraries, representing two selected hydrothermal samples (19-4TVG8 and 19-4TVG11), were constructed. Twenty-three and 32 phylotypes were identified from 166 and 160 bacterial clones respectively, including Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes, Nitrospirae and Planctomycetes. The phylum Proteobacteria is dominant in both bacterial libraries with a predominance of Gamma-Proteobacteria. A total of 31 and 25 phylotypes were obtained from 160 and 130 archaeal clones respectively, including Miscellaneous Crenarchaeotic Group, Marine Group Ⅰ and Ⅲ, Marine Benthic Group E, Terrestrial Hot Spring Crenarchaeota and Deep-sea Hydrothermal Vent Euryarchaeota. These results show a variety of clones related to those involved in sulfur cycling, suggesting that the cycling and utilization of sulfur compounds may extensively occur in the Lau Basin deep-sea hydrothermal ecosystem. | WEI Manman ZHANG Rubing WANG Yuguang JI Houguo ZHENG Jia CHEN Xinhua ZHOU Hongbo | 2013 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,2: | 6
Analysis of characteristics and predictive factors of immune checkpoint inhibitor-related adverse events显示文摘Objective:We aimed to retrospectively analyze the toxicity profiles and predictors of immune-related adverse events(irAEs)as well as the correlation between irAEs and the clinical efficacy of multi-type immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)in patients with advanced pan-cancer in a real-world setting. Methods:We retrospectively analyzed data from 105 patients with advanced pan-cancer treated with multi-type ICIs at the First Hospital of Jilin University between January 1,2016 and August 1,2020.We used logistic regression analyses to investigate the associations of irAEs with clinical baseline characteristics, blood count parameters, and biochemical indicators during treatment.Receiver operating characteristic curves were used to determine cutoff values for parameters and area under the curve values.Kaplan–Meier and Cox multivariate regression analyses were performed to estimate the relationships of baseline characteristics and irAEs with progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS).Results:A lower relative lymphocyte count(cutoff=28.5%),higher albumin level(cutoff=39.05 g/L),and higher absolute eosinophil count(AEC)(cutoff=0.175×10^(9)/L)were significantly associated with the occurrence of irAEs,among which a higher AEC(cutoff=0.205×10^(9)/L)was strongly associated with skin-related irAEs[odds ratios(ORs)=0.163,P=0.004].Moreover,a higher lactate dehydrogenase level(cutoff=237.5 U/L)was an independent predictor of irAEs of grade≥3(OR=0.083,P=0.023).In immune cell subgroup analysis,a lower absolute count of CD8+CD28−suppressor T cells(OR=0.806;95%confidence interval:0.643–1.011;P=0.062),which are regulatory T lymphocytes, was associated with the occurrence of irAEs,although the difference was not statistically significant.Furthermore,a higher percentage of CD19+B cells was associated with the occurrence of irAEs of grade≥3(P=0.02)and grade≥2(P=0.051).In addition, patients with any grade of irAE had a significantly high PFS(8.37 vs.3.77 months, hazard ratios(HR)=2.02,P=0.0038)and OS(24.77 vs.13.83 months,HR=1.84;P=0.024).Conclusions:This retrospective study reports clinical profile data for irAEs in unselected patients in a real-world setting and explored some parameters that may be potential predictive markers of the occurrence, type,or grade of irAEs in clinical practice.Evidence of a correlation between safety and efficacy may facilitate a complete assessment of the risk-benefit ratio for patients treated with ICIs. | Rilan Bai Naifei Chen Xiao Chen Lingyu Li Wei Song Wei Li Yuguang Zhao Yongfei Zhang Fujun Han Zheng Lyu Jiuwei Cui | 2021 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,4: | 4
Dynamical analysis of mesoscale eddy-induced ocean internal waves using linear theories显示文摘This study aims to explore generation mechanisms of the ocean internal wave using the dynamical analysis methods based on linear theories.Historical cruise measurements and recent synthetic aperture radar(SAR)observations of mesoscale eddies with diameter of several tens of kilometers to hundreds of kilometers show that the internal wave packets with wavelength of hundreds of meters to kilometer exist inside the mesoscale eddies. This coexistence phenomenon and inherent links between the two different scale processes are revealed in the solutions of governing equations and boundary conditions for the internal wave disturbance with a horizontally slowly variable amplitude in a cylindrical coordinate system. The theoretical solutions indicate that the instability of eddy current field provides the dynamical mechanism to internal wave generation. The derived dispersion relation indicates that the internal wave propagation is modified by the eddy current field structure. The energy equation of the internal waves clearly shows the internal wave energy increment comes from the eddy. The theoretical models are used to explain the observation of the mesoscale eddy-induced internal waves off the Norwegian coast. The two-dimensional waveform solution of the anticyclonic eddy-induced internal wave packet appears as ring-shaped curves, which contains the typical features of eddy stream lines. The comparison of theoretical solutions to the structure of the internal wave packets on SAR image shows a good agreement on the major features. | XU Qing ZHENG Quanan LIN Hui LIU Yuguang SONG Y Tony YUAN Yeli | 2008 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2008,27,3: | 3
Ultrasound-Guided Continuous Thoracic Paravertebral Block Improves Patientʼs Quality of Recovery After Open Hepatectomy: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Trial显示文摘Background Ultrasound-guided continuous thoracic paravertebral block can provide pain-relieving and opioid-sparing effects in patients receiving open hepatectomy. We hypothesize that these effects may improve the quality of recovery(QoR)after open hepatectomy. Methods Seventy-six patients undergoing open hepatectomy were randomized to receive a continuous thoracic paravertebral block with ropivacaine(CTPVB group)or normal saline(control group). All patients received patient-controlled intravenous analgesia with morphine postoperatively for 48 hours. The primary outcome was the global Chinese 15-item Quality of Recovery score on postoperative day 7,which was statistically analyzed using Student’s t-test.Results Thirty-six patients in the CTPVB group and 37 in the control group completed the study.Compared to the control group, the CTPVB group had significantly increased global Chinese 15-item Quality of Recovery scores(133.14±12.97 vs.122.62±14.89,P=0.002)on postoperative day 7.Postoperative pain scores and cumulative morphine consumption were significantly lower for up to 8 and 48 hours(P<0.05;P=0.002),respectively,in the CTPVB group. Conclusion Perioperative CTPVB markably promotes patient’s QoR after open hepatectomy with a profound analgesic effect in the early postoperative period. | Xulei Cui Nan Xu Zhiyong Zhang Bo Zhu Yuelun Zhang Yongchang Zheng Shunda Du Yilei Mao Xinting Sang Yuguang Huang | 2022 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2022,37,1: | 3

Efficacy of Renshen(Radix Ginseng) plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata) on myocardial infarction by enhancing autophagy in rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To elucidate the protective effects of Renshen(Radix Ginseng)and Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)on myocardial infarction(MI)through regulating myocardial autophagy.METHODS:Thirty-one male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomized into five groups(n=6 or 7 for each). After treatment for 3 weeks, electrocardiogram(ECG)and cardiac function were recorded.Hematoxylin and eosin(HE)staining was used to detect pathological changes in the heart.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to detect serum B-type brain natriuretic peptide(BNP),cardiac troponin T(c Tn T),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),and serum inflammatory cytokines.Metabolomic analysis was used to identify differential biomarkers of MI in rats.Immunohistochemistry and western blotting were used to detect BNP,cTnT,TNF-α,LC3B,Beclin-1,p62,and adenosine monophosphate activated protein kinase(AMPK)expression in cardiac tissue.RESULTS:Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)alone or Renshen(Radix Ginseng)plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)markedly ameliorated cardiac dysfunction and abnormal ECGs,demonstrated by decreases in the heart weight/body weight ratio,BNP,and c Tn T.Pro-inflammation cytokine interleukin(IL)-1αsignificantly decreased and anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 significantly increased in Renshen(Radix Ginseng)single or Renshen(Radix Ginseng)plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)groups compared with the control group.HE results suggested that co-treatment produced a greater reduction in cardiomyocyte cross-sectional area than Renshen(Radix Ginseng)or Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)alone.Renshen(Radix Ginseng)plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)reversed these changes to different degrees in MI rats.Furthermore,Renshen(Radix Ginseng)plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)down-regulated LC3 B,Beclin-1,and AMPK expression in cardiac tissue and upregulated p62 expression.CONCLUSIONS:Renshen(Radix Ginseng)plus Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)may have a greater effect on heart injury induced by MI in rats than Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)treatment alone, and the underlying mechanism may be associated with the regulation of myocardial autophagy and anti-inflammation effects. These results provide fresh insight into the mechanism of co-treatment with Renshen(Radix Ginseng)and Fuzi(Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata)for MI. | YANG Liang HUANG Guangyao WANG Yuguang HAN Baoqi ZHENG Bin ZHU Jinmiao GAO Shan GAO Yue | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,6: | 1
Occurrence Characteristics of Saline-Lacustrine Shale-Oil in the Qianjiang Depression,Jianghan Basin,Central China显示文摘The amount of shale oil and its characterization are key issues in the study of shale oil.At present, many scholars use a variety of methods to evaluate the amount of shale oil,and use the calculated amount of hydrocarbons to analyze its influencing factors;however, there is lack of detailed research on the storage space for shale-oil and it’s influencing factors. In view of this issue, gas chromatography(GC),gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS),soxhlet extraction(SE),fieldemission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM),low-temperature nitrogen adsorption(LTNA),highpressure mercury intrusion(HPMI),and X-ray diffraction(XRD)were used to analyze and compare samples from two wells located in different deposition locations. The unconventional Well BYY2 and BX7 s were drilled in the depocenter and distal area of the Qianjiang Formation, respectively.Controlled by differences in the organic matter type and sedimentary environment, the organic matter in Well BYY2,which was found to be characterized by laminar shale, mainly originated from aquatic algae. The results showed that as the total organic carbon(TOC)content increased, the amount of shaleoil in the pores increased.Shale-oil was mostly stored in mesopores and macropores that had been preserved by dolomite minerals of a biogenic origin and also occurred in pores sized 5–200 nm and>1μm.Dolomite minerals of a biogenic origin and clay minerals contributed to the occurrence of shaleoil. In comparison, the organic matter in Well BX7 has been greatly influenced by terrestrial organic matter.Pores in the massive mudstones from Well BX7 were determined to be mainly mesopores preserved by clay minerals and quartz, and the shale-oil was mostly stored within the pores of<40 nm.When the TOC content was~2.5 wt.%,the generated shale-oil reached saturation.Clay minerals contributed to the occurrence of shale-oil,whereas quartz only contributed to the occurrence of shale-oil in macropores. | Zhongliang Sun Zhiliang He Furong Wang Yuanjia Han Sheng He Yuguang Hou Jing Luo Youheng Zheng Shiqiang Wu | 2022 | Journal of Earth Science2022,33,4: | 1

Comparison of Sulfur Dioxide Residue in Chinese Me-dicinal Materials by Titration-fluorescence Spectrome-try and Pharmacopoeia Method显示文摘With sulphur-fumigated Chinese medicinal materials( Fritillaria thunbergii,Isatis indigotica,Asparagus cochinchinensis and Poria cocos) as the test materials, sulfur dioxide or sulfite residue was determined by the method in Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2015 edition) and titration-fluorescence spectrometry, respectively. The results showed that there were significant differences in measured value between titration-fluorescence spectrometry and pharmacopoeia method. The measurement result of titration-fluorescence spectrometry was much closer to the actual content of sulfur dioxide in Chinese medicinal materials. Thus,titration-fluorescence spectrometry had higher application value. | Ma Donglai Shen Zhengxian Du Huiru Zhang Zhidong Jiang Cuilan Wang Liang Li Jing Zheng Yuguang | 2017 | Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2017,9,2: | 0
| 13 | Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment.
