| 1 | Direct van der Waals epitaxial growth of 1D/2D Sb2Se3/WS2 mixed-dimensional p-n heterojunctions显示文摘The mixed-dimensional integration of two-dimensional (2D) materials with non-2D materials can give rise to prominent advances in performance or function.To date,the mixed-dimensional one-dimensional (1D)/2D heterostructures have been fabricated using various physical assembly approaches.However,direct epitaxial growth method which has notable advantages in preparing large-scale products and obtaining perfect interfaces is rarely investigated.Herein,we demonstrate for the first time the direct synthesis of the 1D/2D mixed-dimensional heterostructures by sequential vapor-phase growth of Sb2Se3 nanowires on WS2 monolayers.X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern and Raman spectrum confirm the composition of the Sb2Se3/NS2 heterostructures.Transmission electron microscope (TEM) measurement demonstrates high quality of the heterostructures.Electrical transport characterization reveals that Sb2Se3 nanowire exhibits p-type characteristic and that WS2 monolayer exhibits n-type behavior,and that the p-n diode from 1D/2D mixed-dimensional Sb2Se3/WS2 heterostructure possesses obvious current rectification behavior.Optoelectronic measurements of the heterostructures show apparent photovoltaic response with an open-circuit voltage of 0.19 V,photoresponsivity of 1.51 A/W (Vds =5 V) and fast response time of less than 8 ms.The van der Waals epitaxial growth mode of Sb2Se3 nanowires on WS2 monolayers is verified by stripping the Sb2Se3 nanowire from the heterostructures using tape.Together,the direct van der Waals epitaxy opens a facile pathway to 1D/2D mixed-dimensional heterostructures for functional electronic and optoelectronic devices. | Guangzhuang Sun Bo Li Jia Li Zhengwei Zhang Huifang Ma Peng Chen Bei Zhao Ruixia Wu Weiqi Dang Xiangdong Yang Xuwan Tang Chen Dai Ziwei Huang Yuan Liu Xidong Duan Xiangfeng Duan | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,5: | 2 |
| 2 | Targeted delivery of a STING agonist to brain tumors using bioengineered protein nanoparticles for enhanced immunotherapy显示文摘Immunotherapy is emerging as a powerful tool for combating many human diseases.However,the application of this life-saving treatment in serious brain diseases,including glioma,is greatly restricted.The major obstacle is the lack of effective technologies for transporting therapeutic agents across the blood-brain barrier(BBB)and achieving targeted delivery to specific cells once across the BBB.Ferritin,an iron storage protein,traverses the BBB via receptor-mediated transcytosis by binding to transferrin receptor 1(TfR1)overexpressed on BBB endothelial cells.Here,we developed bioengineered ferritin nanoparticles as drug delivery carriers that enable the targeted delivery of a small-molecule immunomodulator to achieve enhanced immunotherapeutic efficacy in an orthotopic glioma-bearing mouse model.We fused different glioma-targeting moieties on self-assembled ferritin nanoparticles via genetic engineering,and RGE fusion protein nanoparticles(RGE-HFn NPs)were identified as the best candidate.Furthermore,RGE-HFn NPs encapsulating a stimulator of interferon genes(STING)agonist(SR717@RGE-HFn NPs)maintained stable self-assembled structure and targeting properties even after traversing the BBB.In the glioma-bearing mouse model,SR717@RGE-HFn NPs elicited a potent local innate immune response in the tumor microenvironment,resulting in significant tumor growth inhibition and prolonged survival.Overall,this biomimetic brain delivery platform offers new opportunities to overcome the BBB and provides a promising approach for brain drug delivery and immunotherapy in patients with glioma. | Bin Wang Maoping Tang Ziwei Yuan Zhongyu Li Bin Hu Xin Bai Jinxian Chu Xiaoyang Xu Xue-Qing Zhang | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,10: | 2 |
| 3 | A comprehensive review on Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based thin films: Thermoelectrics and beyond显示文摘Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based materials are not only the most important and widely used room temperature thermoelectric(TE)materials but are also canonical examples of topological insulators in which the topological surface states are protected by the time-reversal symmetry.High-performance thin films based on Bi_(2)Te_(3)- have attracted worldwide attention during the past two decades due primarily to their outstanding TE performance as highly efficient TE coolers and as miniature and flexible TE power generators for a variety of electronic devices.Moreover,intriguing topological phenomena,such as the quantum anomalous Hall effect and topological superconductivity discovered in Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based thin films and heterostructures,have shaped research directions in the field of condensed matter physics.In Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based films and heterostructures,delicate control of the carrier transport,film composition,and microstructure are prerequisites for successful device operations as well as for experimental verification of exotic topological phenomena.This review summarizes the recent progress made in atomic defect engineering,carrier tuning,and band engineering down to a nanoscale regime and how it relates to the growth and fabrication of high-quality Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based films.The review also briefly discusses the physical insight into the exciting field of topological phenomena that were so dramatically realized in Bi_(2)Te_(3)-and Bi_(2)Se_(3)‐based structures.It is expected that Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based thin films and heterostructures will play an ever more prominent role as flexible TE devices collecting and converting low-level(body)heat into electricity for numerous electronic applications.It is also likely that such films will continue to be a remarkable platform for the realization of novel topological phenomena. | Xinfeng Tang Ziwei Li Wei Liu ingjie Zhang Ctirad Uher | 2022 | Interdisciplinary Materials2022,1,1: | 1 |

| 5 | A joint call for actions to advance taxonomy in China显示文摘Taxonomy plays an important role in understanding the origin, evolution, and ecological functionality of biodiversity. There are large number of unknown species yet to be described by taxonomists, which together with their ecosystem services cannot be effectively protected prior to description. Despite this, taxonomy has been increasingly underrated insufficient funds and permanent positions to retain young talents. Further, the impact factordriven evaluation systems in China exacerbate this downward trend, so alternative evaluation metrics are urgently necessary. When the current generation of outstanding taxonomists retires,there will be too few remaining taxonomists left to train the next generation. | 6 | Effects of Imports and Exports on China's PM2.5 Pollution显示文摘This paper examines the effects o f imports and exports on Chinas PM2.5 pollution using data from 31 provinces during the period 2001-2016.At the aggregate level,our analysis shows that exports have a pollution-generating effect while imports have a pollution-shifting effect on provincial PM2.5 pollution.Cross-sectional analysis reveals that imports and exports exhibit opposite effects on manufacturing and high-tech industries,but demonstrate the same pollution-generating effect for the heavy industry sector.At the regional level,the effects are similar to those at the aggregate level.We also examine the impacts o f other factors on PM2.5 pollution.Our empirical evidence shows that PM2.5 pollution is positively correlated with domestic sales,population density,economic growth,urbanization rate,and transportation,but negatively correlated with energy efficiency and industry structure.This paper suggests that reducing exports and increasing imports will help to reduce PM2.5 pollution. | Zhaohua Li Ziwei Fang Zhuyu Tang | 2020 | China & World Economy2020,28,6: | 1 |

| 15 | The Characteristic Patterns of Macrofaunal Fouling Assemblages in Nearshore Waters of the South China Sea显示文摘The spatio-temporal patterns of macrofaunal fouling assemblages were quantitatively investigated in the nearshore waters of the South China Sea.The work was undertaken by deploying seasonal panels at two sites(H-site,L-site) for one year,and the fouling communities on the panels were examined and analyzed.The results indicated that species composition of assemblages was obviously different between the two sites.At both sites the assemblages were characteristic with solitary dominant species throughout the year,with Amphibalanus reticulates dominating at H-site and Hydroides elegans at L-site.Shannon index and biomass of the assemblages varied with depth and season at both sites.At H-site the total biomass in summer and autumn were significantly higher than those in spring and winter,while at L-site the assemblage biomass also differed significantly among the four seasons,and the greatest biomass occurred at the depth of 2.0 m in winter.The abundance of all seasonal samples in non-metric multidimensional scaling was clustered as one group at L-site and three groups at H-site.The environmental factors were more likely to be related to the variation of fouling assemblages.Furthermore,it also suggests that in tropical seas the integrated adaptability would qualify a species for dominating a fouling assemblage despite its short life cycle,rather than the usually assumed only species with long life span.This study reveals the complexity and characteristic dynamics of macrofaunal fouling assemblages in the tropical habitats,and the results would provide valuable knowledge for biodiversity and antifouling research. | CHEN Xin LIU Qiuyu ZHUO Wen LIU Wenjuan LI Ziwei TANG Min | 2018 | Journal of Ocean University of China2018,17,5: | 1 |

| 19 | Cost-Utility Analysis of Screening for Diabetic Retinopathy in China显示文摘Background.Diabetic retinopathy(DR)has been primarily indicated to cause vision impairment and blindness,while no studies have focused on the cost-utility of telemedicine-based and community screening programs for DR in China,especially in rural and urban areas,respectively.Methods.We developed a Markov model to calculate the cost-utility of screening programs for DR in DM patients in rural and urban settings from the societal perspective.The incremental cost-utility ratio(ICUR)was calculated for the assessment.Results.In the rural setting,the community screening program obtained 1 QALY with a cost of$4179(95%CI 3859 to 5343),and the telemedicine screening program had an ICUR of$2323(95%CI 1023 to 3903)compared with no screening,both of which satisfied the criterion of a significantly cost-effective health intervention.Likewise,community screening programs in urban areas generated an ICUR of$3812(95%CI 2906 to 4167)per QALY gained,with telemedicine screening at an ICUR of$2437(95%CI 1242 to 3520)compared with no screening,and both were also cost-effective.By further comparison,compared to community screening programs,telemedicine screening yielded an ICUR of 1212(95%CI 896 to 1590)per incremental QALY gained in rural setting and 1141(95%CI 859 to 1403)in urban setting,which both meet the criterion for a significantly cost-effective health intervention.Conclusions.Both telemedicine and community screening for DR in rural and urban settings were cost-effective in China,and telemedicine screening programs were more cost-effective. | Yue Zhang Weiling Bai Ruyue Li Yifan Du Runzhou Sun Tao Li Hong Kang Ziwei Yang Jianjun Tang Ningli Wang Hanruo Liu | 2022 | Health Data Science2022,,1: | 0 |
| 20 | Exploiting the Direct Link in IRS Assisted NOMA Networks with Hardware Impairments显示文摘Hardware impairments(HI)are always present in low-cost wireless devices.This paper investigates the outage behaviors of intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)assisted non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)networks by taking into account the impact of HI.Specifically,we derive the approximate and asymptotic expressions of the outage probability for the IRS-NOMA-HI networks.Based on the asymptotic results,the diversity orders under perfect self-interference cancellation and imperfect self-interference cancellation scenarios are obtained to evaluate the performance of the considered network.In addition,the system throughput of IRS-NOMA-HI is discussed in delay-limited mode.The obtained results are provided to verify the accuracy of the theoretical analyses and reveal that:1)The outage performance and system throughput for IRS-NOMA-HI outperforms that of the IRS-assisted orthogonal multiple access-HI(IRS-OMA-HI)networks;2)The number of IRS elements,the pass loss factors,the Rician factors,and the value of HI are pivotal to enhancing the performance of IRS-NOMAHI networks;and 3)It is recommended that effective methods of reducing HI should be used to ensure system performance,in addition to self-interference cancellation techniques. | Ziwei Liu Xinwei Yue Shuo Chen Xuliang Liu Yafei Wang Wanwei Tang | 2023 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,,7: | 0 |
